Kagome ran as fast as she could down the path to the well. Inuyasha had used the jewel to become demon. They were all so sure that he'd be himself, but they were all so wrong. Sango and Miroku had fled with Shippo to the village like she had told them to.
Kagome looked over her shoulder to see that Inuyasha was just calmly walking after her, a dark smirk on his face, his bangs hiding his eyes, the blood red eyes had that had replaced the honey gold, a slash of purple on each cheek, his hands flexing the more noticeable claws by his sides, the smirk showing a glimmering fang. Kagome stopped running and just walked at a fast pace looking back at him. She reached the well and he was still a good distance from her. Kagome looked down the well then back at him.
How could she just run from him? She had said that'd she'd stay with him, no matter what. What about Shippo, Sango, Miroku, Kaede, and everyone else in the village? Would he go after them if she fled down the well? Or would he just follow her to her time? Could he still follow her now that he was demon? No doubt that he could.
“Aren't you going to run Kagome?” Inuyasha asked, from about five feet away, where he stopped, his voice a deep growl. “Aren't you going to run, now that you can't “sit” me anymore?”
It was true she had tried to sit him when he went to attack Shippo. The necklace went crashing to the ground like it was supposed to, by Inuyasha didn't follow its path, causing the string to snap in half. It did effectively cause Inuyasha to chase after her, but that wasn't what she had wanted.
“Inuyasha…” Kagome whimpered, tears streaming down her face.
Inuyasha chuckled darkly at her. “Hmm? What do you want from me Kagome?” When she didn't answer him he ran up to her, before she could comprehend it, and held her in the air by the front of her shirt. “Do you want to go home? Go I'll put you down and chase after you. Kami knows what terribly wonderful things I could do in your time.”
“Inuyasha please…” Kagome said as she grabbed onto his hand trying to hold her self up.
“Please what, this is getting rather tedious Kagome.” Inuyasha growled at her. “Just tell me what you want of me Kagome.”
“Don't do this Inuyasha…” Kagome whined at him.
Inuyasha smirked at her, his blood red eyes flashing. “You're getting pathetic Kagome. Maybe I should go play with our other friends; maybe they would be more fun.”
“No.” Kagome said shaking her head.
“Hmm…so you want my attention Kagome?” Inuyasha asked bringing her closer to him. “Do you want to stay with me like you promised? Do you want to try and change me back?”
Kagome yelped when she hit the ground, and then started to back up so her back was against the well.
“Come on Kagome, give me a clue.” Inuyasha laughed as he moved and straddled her legs, pressing up against her. “I can't play the game if I don't know which game you want to play.”
“Get away from her!” Kaede yelled at him, her arrow pointed at his back.
“Hi old woman.” Inuyasha laughed as he leaned back looking at her upside down. “Do you really want to try that with me, Kikyo did, and she failed, only put me to sleep, do you really think that you could kill me?”
“Ye heard me.” Kaede said adjusting her aim to his face.
“Kaede go!” Kagome yelled from her spot.
Inuyasha sat up and looked at her, “Brave aren't we? Want to face the big bad demon all on our own do we?”
Kaede readied the arrow and shot, but was shocked when a shield went up. Inuyasha had even moved to catch the arrow, but in front of him was a pink shield of energy. “Kagome, why did you do that?”
“Go, just go Kaede!” Kagome yelled as she let the shield drop and then took off running into the forest.
Inuyasha snarled at Kaede before taking off, “Come after us, and you'll never see the light of day again.”
Kagome ran dodging around trees. “I have no idea what I'm doing!” Kagome thought as she looked over her shoulder to see if Inuyasha was coming after her. “Damn it!” Kagome yelled when she tripped over a root. Kagome went to stand up, but stopped when she heard a tearing sound. “No…” Kagome groaned. Her skirt was torn, and if she moved the slightest inch in the upward positing her skirt would reach an all time short.
“Poor Kagome, stuck to a tree.” Inuyasha said in a singsong voice from a branch in the tree next to her. “Oh the irony of it all.”
Kagome looked up at him with wide eyes too stunned to say anything.
“Only this won't put you to sleep for fifty years, just embarrass you.” Inuyasha said as he jumped down next to her, as she tried to get it to tear going down so it would just be a slit.
“Inuyasha…” Kagome said dangerously.
“What are you going to do? Sit me?” Inuyasha growled in her ear.
Kagome moved away at the sudden closeness, ripping the skirt just like she didn't want to. In some cruel, impossible way it tore going around in a circle, making the skirt way too short. Kagome went to keep moving but the fabric tripped her, and she fell on her butt.
“I always did like this skirt.” Inuyasha purred as he crouched down and smirked at her grabbing the cloth so it bound her ankles together. “It's a shame it stopped our game, I was so close to dropping in on you.”
“What are you going to do?” Kagome stammered as she tried to get her feet back.
“I dunno Kago.” Inuyasha said as he loosened his hold on the cloth and pulled it from her feet, and stalked up her body. “Maybe I should let us keep going with this game, but then again…” Inuyasha paused to look at her skirt, or lack there of. “You might not have any clothing left at the end of our game.”
Kagome blushed at the thought and avoided eye contact with him. “Why are you doing this?”
“Because…” Inuyasha said as he moved closer to her and moved some of her hair behind her ear. “It feels like I should.”
“But…” Kagome tried to say something but tears started streaming down her face. “It's not how it was supposed to go.”
“What, you thought you'd just get your prince charming?” Inuyasha growled. “You know I realized something Kagome.” He grabbed her chin making her look at him. “You have to give something to get something back in return. In order to get the rest of my demon blood, the jewel took away my friendship with you and your friends.”
Kagome shook her head trying to move away from him. “No, this isn't real, I got a concussion while we were fighting Naraku, I'm going to wake up, and you're going to start yelling at me for being so dumb!”
“Whatever you have to tell yourself to cope with this.” Inuyasha said boredly as he stood up. “You are interesting though, too interesting to let you leave, go near that well and I'll destroy it.”
“But what about my family?” Kagome asked as she stood up and started to follow him.
“I don't care.” Inuyasha said as he kept walking. “Go near it, and it'll be your last time in your era, just think, I might grow a heart and let you go see them sometime.”
Kagome choked back a sob and asked, “So what am I supposed to do in the meantime?”
“Go back to that village, rest up some; I'll come get you to play later.” Inuyasha said as he jumped up into the Goshinboku.
Kagome dropped her head and headed towards the village. Maybe it would be better in the morning. She wanted to believe that, but she had a feeling that she was going to end up being the mouse in his games, as he liked to call them.
“Kagome!” Shippo cheered as he tackled her stomach, when she came in the hut. “Are you ok?”
“I'll be fine…” Kagome said setting him back on the ground.
“Where's Inuyasha?” Sango asked as Kagome sat down against the wall.
“Sitting in the Goshinboku…”
“He let you go?” Miroku asked handing her a cup of tea. “Also what happened to your skirt?”
“Stop staring hentia.” Sango said hitting him over the head.
“It tore…and not really.” Kagome said before taking a sip.
“Not really?” Shippo asked.
“I can't go down the well, and I have a feeling I'm going to find out what a mouse feels like when it meets a cat…or in this case a dog.” Kagome said hitting her head on the wall, after putting the cup down.
“Why did you stop me Kagome?” Kaede asked when she walked in.
“He's still Inuyasha, no matter what.” Kagome said as she stopped hitting her head on the wall. “By the way could I have some miko garbs?”
“Why?” Kaede asked inspecting Kagome.
Kagome stood up and lifted her arms up and then let them drop back down at her sides. “This is why.”
“I think I have one right in here that will fit you.” Kaede said as she walked over to a chest and opened it. “Yes, here you go.”
“Thank you.” Kagome said taking the clothes. “Miroku if you wouldn't mind.”
“No I wouldn't.” Miroku said with a grin as he waved his hand in front of him.
“Out!” Sango yelled hitting him over the head. “I'll keep an eye on him.” Sango said as she followed him out side with Shippo.
“I'm going to go check on one of the kids who were sick the other day.” Kaede said as she left.
