Gone But Not Forgotten
-“Bye Mom! Bye Sota! Bye Gramps.” Kagome waved to her family as she left. Inu Yasha waited for her at the Bone Eaters well entrance. He waved to the young mikos family. “Bye Kagome! Bye Inu Yasha!” They all yelled waving back at the two. Kagome smiled at them, then walked up to Inu Yasha. “Are you ready?” He asked. “Yep!” She looked at him with a smile on her face. He turned around and jumped onto the stone wall around the well. Kagome did the same. They jumped into the well at the same time. The well filled with light and then they were gone.Gone But Not Forgotten
Appearing on the other side, the feudal aura, the young dog demon grabbed Kagome’s bag off her shoulders. “Huh?” Kagome looked at him in confusion for a moment watching him put her bag over his shoulder. He wrapped his free arm around her waist. Without a second thought he jumped out of the well and landed gracefully on foot next to the well. Kagome looked at Inu Yasha for a moment as he let go of her and started to walk off towards the village. Kagome looked down at her waist where his arm once was. ‘He hasn’t done that in a long time…what’s with him??' She thought to herself.
“Kagome! Come on!”
Her thoughts were disrupted by the young dog demon who had yelled for her. She shook her head of the thoughts then ran towards Inu Yasha to catch up with him. “Sorry.” She said as she started to walk next to him. The dog demon ignored her apology. He continued to walk towards the village not saying a word to her. Reaching Lady Kaede’s hut, they walked in. “Hey Kaede!” Kagome smiled at the old woman then gasped at the site of Miroku. He laid helpless next to the fire. The old woman sat next to him dabbing a wet cloth on his head. Kagome ran over to them both kneeling down beside the young man.
“What the hell happened?” Inu Yasha was the first to speak. He sat down Kagome’s bag and walked over to the three, his arms in his sleeves. “Demons attacked the village. Miroku fought as best he could. He used his wind tunnel…He didn’t… See the poisonous bees flying next to the demons.” Her voice was calm, like it usually was. “Naroku’s poisonous bees?” Kagome asked as she grabbed the cloth from the old woman and started to dab Miroky’s head, giving her a rest.“Yes, but it was most likely Zen Ju who sent them out to take down Miroku… or at least stop him from using his wind tunnel.” The old lady looked over at Miroku then back at Inu Yasha. “He is going to try and bring us down one by one…” Inu Yasha said uncrossing his arms. “This wont be good…” Kagome said with a sigh. “Where’s Songo, Kaede?” Kagome asked as she handed the cloth back to the old woman. “She is collection herbs at the edge of the village.” The young miko nodded, standing up on her feet. “Oh..Kagome…Miroku said that a woman saved him… a woman who looked somewhat like you. But with brown hair….and blue eyes… what do ye make of that?” Kagome almost gasped, but held it in. “I don’t know..” She said as she started to walk out the door. ‘Jamie..is it…no… it cant be..’ Kagome thought long and hard for a moment, but she was interrupted by a young dog demons voice. “What is it, Kagome?” He asked her.
Kagome shook her head. “Oh. Nothing.” Kagome smiled at him then walked out the door. The young miko leaned against a tree beside the hut. She brought her hand up to her necklace that was around her neck. She opened it and looked inside. A picture was inside of a young girl, a child, and a older looking man.‘Father…Sister..’ She thought looking at the picture.
-Flashback-A older man and a young girl walked into a darkened room quietly. The stood there looking at the child that slept in the small bed in the corner of the room. Suddenly, the two walked over to the bed, they awoke the child, making sure no one else heard. The child looked around the age of thirteen. Her short black hair was scattered along the pillow. With a yawn she rubbed her eyes. She blinked a few times before looking at the two people looking down at her. “Honey, I need you to take care or you younger brother and your mother.” The older man said as he leaned down and kissed her forehead. The little girl sat up looking at the two. “Papa..Why?”“Where going on a trip, your sister and I.”“Where are you going?” Her voice sounded so innocent and frail. Her father stepped back, ignoring the girl’s question. The other girl hugged the little one. “Jamie?” The little girls voice sobbed. “Don’t leave me please.”“I have to go… I promise we’ll come back soon.” She hugged her little sister once more then kissed her head. She held her for a moment before pulling back. With tear filled eyes she kissed her sisters cheek. “Don’t forget about us.” “I love you, little sis.” “I love you too, Sissy” The little girl looked up at her father. “I love you, Papa.” The young man smiled a bit, he leaned down and kissed her head once more. “I love you too, Hunny…. Now sleep.” He laid her back in bed and tucked her in. He looked at her for a moment. Wondering if he should leave or not. A sigh escaped his lips. “Lets go, Jamie.” He said walking out of the room, his daughter walking close behind him. -End-
A tear ran down the young mikos cheek. “It just.. Cant be..” She whispered. ‘I miss you..” She kissed the locket as she started to walk off towards the end of the village.XxXxXxXxXxX
-A young woman walked into a darkened room, she was in nothing but armor, with a sword on her hip. The only thing that lit the room was a shrine full of candles and incense. A man sat, kneeling in front of it, praying.
“Father. It has been confirmed. She is alive, she made it through.” The woman’s voice firm.
“Does she know of our existence here?”
“ No. The man I saved was not conscious enough to see what I look like, sir.”
“Alright. We must stay in the castle, until I receive further instructions.”
The woman nodded, she stood there for a moment, in silence.
“Father..” She paused stepping forward.
“Yes.”
“I want to see her, just once. I wont talk to her, I just…want to see if she’s okay.”
“No, you heard my directions. No one leaves this castle.”
“Father, How can you just sit there. Knowing that you’re daughter is only less then 50 miles or so away.. Not caring one bit…. Father we haven’t seen her in Six YEARS!”
“Stop your nonsense. Leave my site now!” He pointed to the door, not willing to look at her.
A tear ran down the woman’s cheek. Turning around she ran out the door, slamming it behind her.
‘I hate him…I just hate him…’ She thought to herself as she ran down the hall with tears running down her cheeks.

-The young miko sat on a edge of a hill, her thoughts racing with questions. She looked over the village. A sigh escaped her lips, ‘I just don’t know anymore.’ She thought pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them.
“Kagome.” Inu Yasha broke through her thoughts, he stood behind her. His stared at the back of her head, wondering what was wrong. “You shouldn’t be alone, while Zen Ju is out to kill us… And you’re the one holding the whole jewel. I don’t need you getting captured.” “I don’t care. I needed time to think.”
“What is wrong? Why cant you tell me!?” He put a hand on her shoulder and pulling her around to look at him. “I have my reasons.” She sighed and averted her eyes from him.
He kneeled down in front of her and grabbed her shoulders.
“What is wrong?”
“GOD DAMNIT! Nothing alright. Now just leave me alone!!” She yelled at him pushing him away so he fell on his back. Standing up she walked away in a huff. “Kagome..” He whispered with concern in his voice. Sitting up he watched as she walked away from him.
“Inu Yasha.. What was that about?” Songo’s voice was heard behind him. She looked down at him with wonder.
“I don’t know… something is wrong with her.. Its like she wants nothing to do with me, or anyone.” He fought back the tears, trying to act like the tough guy he was.
“Yeah, she was really quiet when she was helping me pick herbs..” Silence fell over the two for a few moments.
“Hmm…”
“What is it Inu Yasha?’
“ I just wonder if she knows the woman that saved Miroku.”
“What do you mean?”
“When Kaede told us about her… Kagome looked deep in thought afterwards.”
“Maybe… Just maybe..”
Inu Yasha sat there for a moment before standing up. ’What’s wrong Kagome…’ He thought to himself before jumping off towards the trees.
“Oh Kagome… we’re all worried about you… cant you see that?” Songo whispered before walking off towards the village.
A figure stood hidden within the trees, watching what had occurred. “Kagome… You do know… Don’t you?” She whispered aloud before running off.

-The man continued to prey. Kneeling in front of the lighted area of the room. “Do you have any orders?” He asked standing up, he turned around to look off towards the shadows. A man walked out into the light he had long black hair, brown eyes, and in robes.
“Yes.” He paused for a moment before speaking again, “Kill the young priestess.”
“Alright” He said with a bow.
“And no mess ups.” He soon disappeared into the darkness.
The man nodded then turned around. He walked off towards the long cabinet in the wall. Opening he grabbed out his armor. Not in a hurry he put it all on and grabbed the sword sheathing it.
The entrance door opened. The young woman from before entered. “I heard you wanted to see me, Father?” She walked in, stopping in the middle of the room. “You disobeyed by orders.” he turned around unsheathing his sword. In a quick motion his sword went though her. “Fa….father…how…could you..” she said breathless. “You disobeyed orders.” He said withdrawing the sword. As soon as his sword was out, Jamie dropped to her knees.
“Father..” She whispered. He ignored her and walked out of the room. She fell forward, her arm went out and supported her. “That ass-whole..” She whispered pushing her self up. She used the walls to support her as she made her way out of the castle.
She sneaked her way passed every soldier. Not wanting to battle. She was too badly injured. And she knew that if her father was against her, so was the people who followed him.
She made her way out of the castle and into the forest. When she was a far distance from the castle she leaned against a large oak tree. “If I die now, I rather be away from the that castle..” She whispered closing her eyes, as darkness over took her.

-The Dog demon stood in the doorway staring out at the village. He slowly crossed his eyes as he put his hands into his sleeves, his usual stance. Song sat next to the fire, with Miroku’s head in her lap as she ran her fingers through her lovers hair.
The whole room was in silence, a sigh soon escaped the dog demons lips.
“What’s wrong ye Inu Yasha?” Kaede’s voice broke the silence of the hut. She sat up in her futon and looked at Inu Yasha. “Nothing, you old hag.” He tried to hide his feelings but the old women knew better. “Inu Yasha. I might be old in my years, but I know something is wrong.”
“Kagome’s isn’t back yet.”
The old woman was quite for a moment. “Ye need to go to her.”
Inu Yasha nodded and walked out of the hut. Stopping for a moment he sniffed the air. Catching Kagome’s sent he ran in the direction of it.
