She's been making up and typing the story so the credit goes to her, I sometimes make up the titles. I started working on the first chapter, but then broke my arm. Last Time:


Naraku showed up back to Kikyo with Kagome's dead body


"I admire my work" Kikyo said with a smirk "You didn't fail me with Kagome, ha killed in one bullet Kagome. Sango is now dead to, so you both will be happy. Two bestfriends.


"Kagome, If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane. You'd probably go up to heaven and bring Inuyasha home again" Kikyo continued


"To bad, now your dead. Your nothing anymore and Inuyasha is going to be mine now" Kikyo laughed and left "Keep her body" was the last order she gave before leaving. Naraku and Kouga nodded


Chapter 9: How Long has it Been?



Inuyasha sped throught the park destryoing anything in his path. He made it into the city and people ran from him, camera crew following him, reporters trying to take a look at him while talking, helicopters took over some of the dark sky. Inuyasha didn't care, his mind was set on finding Kikyo, killing her, and finding his mate. He continued to break cars, tip over some of the street signs, but he didn't hurt anybody. If something he broke was going to fall on someone, his bright red eyes would see it and his reflexes would save them.


Sesshomaru had Rin in his arms, her back was bleeding, but not badly. He put her next to Miroku


"Take care of Rin" Sesshomru said


"Where are you going?" asked Miroku tilting his head to the side a bit. Sesshomaru looked at him


"To stop Inuyasha's rampage on Tokyo" Sess said and took off. He ran following Inuyasha's trail which was easy. Car pile ups, posts broken, street lights on the floor, a couple of people screaming. He finally found his brother standing in the middle of the street, cars surrounding him. Sesshomaru stepped in as the terrified people watched, he went closer to see Inuyasha's face.


"Inuyasha, stop this now" Sesshomaru said coming closer. Inuyasha growled at his brother. Why did he have to stop? A human managed to take his life away, he could destroy everything to find her.


"Inuyasha, if your doing this to find Kagome, don't" Rin's voice said weakly. Inuyasha looked over to where Rin was. She was standing next to Miroku, leaning on his arm for support. Inuyasha spotted Sango, who was in Miroku's arms. He could smell life in Sango and noticed the blood stopped pouring, but there was a large gash on her side where Miroku's fingers where.


"Inuyasha, she's gone. Face it, she's not coming back. You may risk your life, but in return only get her dead body" Sesshomaru said. "She would have wanted you to be happy again, not destory half the city. Kagome changed you and she wouldn't be happy with what your doing"


Inuyasha's red eyes slowly turned back to gold and the extra features faded, leaving his hurt, sadden face. Then, Inuyasha did something he never thought of doing. He lunged at Sesshomru, hugged him and cried into his shoulder. Sesshomaru was taken by surprise, but responded. He felt bad for his baby brother, he had just lost his love and he was in denial.



"I want Kagome back" Inuyasha whispered. Sesshomaru sighed


"I'm sorry, but she's not coming back" Sesshomaru said 'Since when did I become so soft?' He looked over at Rin who was pouring tears out of her chocolate eyes. Inuyasha continued crying, Sesshomaru put Inuyasha on his back and headed home. He could smell Kagome's scent on Inuyasha, her scent was mixed with death.



"Dosen't Inuyasha weigh?" asked Rin. Inuyasha was only a year younger than Sesshomaru


"I'm a demon Rin, he dosen't weigh for my strength" responded Sesshomru as he walked.


'If he can carry Inuyasha with both hands, he probably carries me with his finger' Rin thought still tearing. Miroku had left to take Sango to the hospital, Rin left with him. Sesshomaru got home with Inuyasha still on his back, covered in Sesshomaru's silver hair. Their mother opneded the door and saw Sesshomaru almost covered in blood. Not his own, but Rin and Kagome's


"What happended!?" shouted Azuki. Sesshomaru went to the living room and put Inuyasha down on the couch


"Sesshomaru, this must be bad. You've never carried Inuyasha, or shown emotions, and wheres Kagome?"


"Mom, Kagome is dead"


"WHAT!?"


"That bastard Kouga killed her and then Naraku took her out of Inuyasha's arms" Seshomaru said with a sadden exression. Azuki broke down into tears and Inutaisho came in


"Kagome is dead?" he asked


"Yeah"


Azuki ran to her husband and cried, Inutaisho even got sad. Inuyasha mumbled Kagome's name in his sleep.

Kikyo sat in her room, with an ear to ear smile. She did it, she killed Kagome and possibly Sango.


"She deserved it" Kikyo said and smiled even more



Kagome's body laid on the table where they had put her in the night before. Inuyasha's T-shirt was torn where the bullet struck her and Kagome laid there, lifeless. A pink, what looked light a lightning bolt flashed in the room. Another came after it, and others followed that one. The pink lightning struck Kagome and shook her, once that was done the bolts shot out of her body. One right after the other, the room decorated in pink flashes. A pink one flashd out of the sky, tore through the roof and many floors finally reaching the basment. It tore through the celling and struck Kagome right where the bullet was incrusted, through her chest, out the table, and finaly stopped on floor splashing it's light everywhere.



Kikyo sensed the power in the building. "What the hell is going on!?" she shouted and ran out of the room. She glowed blue and ready to strike. She went down to Kagome's room. Kikyo was a miko, a very powerful one and she sensed a power even more stronger than herself coming form Kagome's room. She opended the door to find Kouga and Naraku on the floor in pain


"What is this!" She said as pink flashes surrounded Kagome. Her eyes cought the pink lightning flash in Kagome's chest and the pink pool light around the table


"It began flashing and we couldn't stop it!" Kouga shouted. One of the flashed struck him and he disspeared, leaving his clothes behind. Naraku was saved by Kikyo, she began to breath heavily at what she was seeing.


'I didn't sense her powers! and there's so much atleat ten times stronger than mine own. Scratch that, a billion times stronger than mine' She thought. Kagome's hair flew everywhere around her and her body began to take more low to it.


"What the hell is going on?!' Naraku asked


"Her powers have awaken eventhough he's dead..NO, that's not possible!" Kikyo responded. All throught he night and days later the room was still ilummintaed, each day getting stronger and stronger

Weeks went by as Inuyasha stayed in his room, lying on his bed. He once in a while got up. They'd search everyday, but everyday they came home with nothing. Inuyasha got up and searched through Kagome's CD's. Finally catching Kagome's favorite CD with her favorite songs in it. He slipped the CD in his CD player and skipped to Kagome's favorite. The song 'Every Heart' (A/N: I love that song, it's awesome) He concentrated on the lyrics hard to see why Kagome liked it so much

The song ended and Inuyasha realized why she liked it so much. It was beautiful and somehow true to her. Tears fell out of his eyes and he took some of the flowers he bought and left to his backyard. He walked over to Kagome's favorite tree, they never found her so he made his own fake little tomb for her right under the Sacred God Tree. He put the flowers down on the bottom of his and sat down, he felt her prensense there somehow and remebered the day he brought Kagome to his house


[FlashBack]


Inuyasha got off his bycicle along with Kagome. He gave her a ride to his house to spend time with her. Their summer sofar was great and he was so happy that he gave her a chance to be hid friend. They went up to his room and he started playing video games.


"Wanna play?" he asked as he put a chip in his mouth


"Not right now, you should do some homework"


"Nah, I've got all summer"


"The sonner the better though"


"Yeah, what've you done''


"The only thing I've got left to do is Solcial Studies and I'm half done with that"


"You've got to be kidding, your that far"


"Yup, I've just gott type it up once I get the new printer"


"Wanna go outside?"


"Sure Yash"


They went outside and Kagome went running to the tree.


"Wow, it's so pretty"


"Yup, thats the sacred god tree. It's been here for centuries"


"Wow, I love it Yash" she said as she plopped down on the grass beneath the tree


"Why do you keep calling me Yash?"


"I don't know, I just like to"


"Fine, your the only one that can call me that though"


"Ok, thanks"


"For what?'


"For letting me call you Yash"


"Your way to nice for your own good"


[End Flashback]


Inuyasha smiled and walked back inside


"How I wish you were here Kagome, I still love you so much" he whispered and entered his house. Sango lived, but she now had a huge scar on her side.

Kikyo still watched in amazment as Kagome's body started beating. Kikyo felt it coming, she felt Kagome's soul coming back to it's owner.


"NOO!" Kikyo screamed as a powerful flash illumminated the whol house. Kagome's body screamed back to life, Kagome jumped up and her eyes shot open as the force pushed her up into a sitting position. Her hair covering her face, breathing heavily. All the memmories of that day came back to her her eyes glowed bright pink as she turned to look at Kikyo


"What did you do?" Kagome asked asked in a low voice. He bullet was gone, it was completly healed. Kagome was up and alive again


"Don't waste your time, all of them are dead" Kikyo smirked


"What!?" Kagome shouted "You killed them!"


"Yup, and you saved yourself" Kikyo laughed "Everyone it long gone and dead, sweetheart it's been about a month since that day" Kikyo laughed and disspeared. Her voice echoed into Kagome's ears "Ah yea, and your family as well"


Kagome started to cry


"I'll tell you what I told Inuyasha brofe his death. No farewell words where spoken. No time to say goodbye. He was gone before you knew it, and only I know why" and with that she left wih Naraku


Kagome couldn't belive it. She had just lost everything, her family, her friends. She got up and hugged herself, she was wearing Inuyasha's T-shirt. She walked out and headed somewhere she knew she could escape.


'No point in staying here, they are all dead. I'm going back to America and never coming back'


She caught a taxi, still crying and headed for the airport. She brushed her fingers over Inuyasha's mark and cried harder. The driver loked at her, but didn't ask anything. Kagome still had some monmey left, she bought the ticket to America and waited paicently for her flight to leave. "Inuyasha, why?"

Inuyasha went back to school to take his mind off his dead mate, but couldn't, it was just to much

"Kagome, please get out of my head. I'm going crazy"

Kagome boarded the flight. as the plane flew up she took out the journal that Sango gave her for her birthday and began writting.

2 YEARS LATER


Kagome sat in her bedroom as she cleaned her room. She stumbled upon her journal. She looked at it, in the front cover it had a picture of he and Inuyasha. She flipped through the pages to find some other photos of her friends and family. She found the only two entries she wrote and she began reading them.


Inuyasha sat in the living room, never forgetting Kagome. he had to go on in his life. He did tear at night, missing her warmth. But he couldn't bring her back, he didn't even find her. Now, Inuyasha was nineteen years old. He was in college, but lived home. He still had Kagome's things and a whole bunch of pictures of her and him together. When they were little and before she died. To bad they were never seeing eachother again
