“INUYASHA!” Kagome screamed in terror while reaching to here back for an arrow. “Kagome!” Inuyasha yelled while unsheathing his tetsusaiga. “There is no way to save your precious Kagome, Inuyasha.” Naraku laughed in spite. Kagome turned towards Naraku. Seconds later his deadly roots impaled Kagome's fragile body. She fell to her knees looking down at her wounds then back up at Inuyasha faintly gasping for air. “Why…Inuyasha…why co…couldn't you…save me…” “KAGOME! No… I will kill you, you heartless bastard!” Inuyasha yelled as he charged at Naraku. “Fool, you are no match for me. I shall take you out just as I did to Kagome.” Naraku replied as he sent his deadly roots towards Inuyasha. With one sweep of his sword Inuyasha cut through the roots. The wind scar was now heading towards Naraku. “DIE bastard” Inuyasha yelled as he watched the scar travel directly at Naraku. “I told you, you fool you will not defeat me” Naraku laughed as he turned and had Kanna facing Inuyasha with her mirror. “Now Inuyasha, you die” Kanna gently spoke, glaring deep into Inuyasha's amber eyes. “NO! It can't be!” Inuyasha gasped in terror as the wind scar headed directly back at him. Slashing across his body, he fell to the ground.” “It seems our work is done here. Let's go Kanna” Naraku spoke as he and Kanna turned and disappeared into the forest, Leaving Kagome and Inuyasha's bodies sprawled out on the cold ground.

 

 

“What a fool. He couldn't even protect the wench” Sesshomaru spoke while glancing over at Kagome's limp body. He bent down and rolled her body over. Looking her fragile yet blood covered body up and down he cradled her into his arm. Slowly he walked over to his demon pet, Ah Un, and jumped onto his back and flew off towards his land. The Western Lands.

 

When he arrived it was sun down. He walked into the castle and noticed it to be extremely quiet…a little to quiet. “LORD SESSHOMARU!” A cute, little voice screamed from the shadows. “Rin…why do you yell…I am a mere 5 feet from you.” Sesshomaru impassively spoke as he continued down the long, narrow hall way. “I'm sorry my Lord.” Rin apologetically exclaimed as she turned and walked back towards her room.

 

What is wrong with me? Why did I bring this woman back here? I hate humans…But for some reason seeing her lying dead on the ground…made me tremble. Sesshomaru thought to himself. He then drew Tenseiga from its sheath. With one quick swipe across Kagome's body the messengers that lurked around her decimated. Kagome's body started glow a blue color. Sesshomaru grinned slightly with satisfaction but quickly turned away curling his hand into a fist. This is absurd…why do I feel this way. I must not lose my self control. She is only a mere human. Sesshomaru thought but quickly turned back to Kagome's body. He raised his hand, claws drawn ready to strike down the Miko that lay before him. What is holding me back from slaying this insignificant girl? Sesshomaru thought to himself while reaching his hand down and brushing it through Kagome's beautiful hair.

“Inuyasha…Inuyasha…are ye awake?” A voice spoke gently. “Wha...what ...where Am…I?” Inuyasha feebly spoke as he slowly sat up and looked around the room. “Where is Kagome? I need to know where she is…Is she ok?!” he frantically hoped up grabbing his chest, which was in pain from the Wind Scar, and started to search for Kagome. “Inuyasha please…sit back down. We do not know where she is. When we found you she was no where to be found.” Kaede spoke was sitting back down onto her cot.

 

“All I can remember is Naraku's damned roots going through her…DAMN HIM! Then when I turned to Naraku…I used the wind scar but…it was hurled right back at me.” Inuyasha infuriately said as he turned and looked at Kaede.

 

 

I couldn't even protect her…I thought that I would have learned after losing one women to Naraku. But I don't think I can bare to accept the fact that I lost another…I love Kagome…and I can't stand to live knowing her death was caused by my ignorance. Inuyasha grieved to himself. He then got up, grab his Tetsusaiga, and walked out of the hut and into the dark and lonesome forest. I will find you Kagome…and once your back in my arms…I'm never letting you go…again.
