Two Words That Started It All

Another day of traveling was wearing the group thin. Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirara were all tired from their last shard encounter. They traveled for five days to a village in the east, just to find it completely useless. There were no shards just an endless amount of youkai that kept getting in their way, demanding the shards Kagome had.

The youkai were easy to fight, but there were so many that the group grew tired fast. When it seemed they could no longer fight, the youkai disappeared, finally realizing that it was useless to get the shards from them.

Unfortunately, the youkai carcasses would attract scavenger youkai to the area, so as tired as they were they traveled on. Eventually they came across a village and secured a room for the night. They paid for the room because Miroku was too tired to perform his `there's an ominous presence hovering around' act.

They all turned in without even eating and slept through the night. Or at least they would've, if the innkeeper hadn't tried to attack. Apparently he'd heard a rumor about a miko with shards traveling with a hanyou, two youkai, a monk, and a taijia. He'd wanted the power, so attacked in the middle of the night.

Inuyasha had taken care of him quickly, but the rest of the villagers saw him as a murderer and chased them out of the village. Again they had to move. After the adrenaline washed out of their systems, they settled in a clearing.

No one could sleep that night, paranoid of something else that might come. They'd been attacked almost one after the other and they were going to be prepared for whatever may come.

Many tiring days later, they were almost to the village. Kagome wanted nothing more than to go home and soak in a tub for countless hours. The journey had caused her to grow dirty and they had no time to stop for a quick dip. Her clothes were lost in a fight with the first group of youkai when they grabbed her bag.

Suddenly, a rumble came from beneath them. The ground tore up from beneath them and threw them to the side. Inuyasha flipped in mid air and jumped to grab Kagome and Shippo. Kirara transformed before the ground came up and caught Miroku and Sango.

They landed away from the heap of unearthed dirt. A brown liquid came out of the hole in the ground and materialized. It was a youkai made entirely out of mud that stood at least fifty feet tall. "What the fuck is that?" Inuyasha said.

"I've never seen anything like it." Miroku said. "Nor heard of it."

"I don't know what it is either." Sango said.

"It smells." Kagome said.

"You're not smelling it as bad as I am." Inuyasha covered his nose with his haori sleeve.

Shippo's eyes rolled into the back of his head and he passed out. "Shippo!" Kagome cried and ran to pick him up.

"The little runt isn't used to the strong stench." Inuyasha said.

"The Shikon shards. Give them to me." The youkai rumbled. The ground beneath them trembled as he talked.

"You can't have them." Inuyasha said.

"I will have them." The youkai rumbled. He lifted what seemed to be a hand and flicked it towards them.

Mud flung off of his finger and flew towards them. Inuyasha picked Kagome up and ran out of the way. Kirara dodged the mud with Sango and Miroku on her back. "Be careful, the mud will trap you!" Miroku shouted. He saw the mud quickly harden as it hit the ground.

"Dammit!" Inuyasha shouted. He jumped up into a tree and set Kagome down on a branch. "Stay here, and don't come out for anything."

"But-" Before Kagome could finish Inuyasha jumped down.

"You can't have the shards, so go back where you came from or fight me." Inuyasha growled.

The youkai laughed. "You think you, a hanyou, can defeat me?"

"I can and will defeat you!" Inuyasha growled.

The youkai took a deep breath and blew out bubbles of mud. Inuyasha dodged them and laughed when he missed. Miroku, Sango, and Kirara on the other hand weren't so lucky. They were all caught in the bubbles of mud. They popped and they fell to the ground where they were trapped in the mud.

Inuyasha ran towards them to try and help but was stopped when a wall of mud was thrown down. He wouldn't be able to make the jump even if he didn't have to dodge the new spitballs.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome shouted.

He was now caught in the mud. Entrapped in the mud he couldn't move at all. He growled and tried to break free. His hands wouldn't move so he couldn't claw his way out.

Kagome couldn't take it anymore. She jumped down from her hiding spot in the tree. She hissed when she hit the ground. Ignoring the pain she set Shippo down by the tree and ran to Inuyasha.

"Stay back." Inuyasha said. Even though he couldn't see her he knew she was coming.

"I can't. Your stuck baka! Or have you not noticed?" Kagome yelled.

"Of course I know!" Inuyasha yelled.

"I can sense the shards on you." The youkai said. He reached out a hand and grabbed Kagome.

She screamed as he brought her to his face. It was disgusting to be held by the youkai. "Give them to me." The youkai demanded.

"No!" Kagome shouted and struggled to get out of his grasp. She screamed when he squeezed her.

Rage washed over Inuyasha as he saw Kagome in pain. Because he was so angry he was able to get out of the mud trap. He flew up towards the youkai jumping on his body and cut off his hand. He grabbed Kagome and jumped. "I told you to stay put!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Now is not the time to argue about this." Kagome said as she saw more mud being thrown at them.

Inuyasha picked her up again and moved out of the way. Still pissed off from earlier he took out tetsusaiga and held it out in front of him. "Kaze no Kizu!" Inuyasha swung the fang.

The youkai yelled at being torn apart by the attack. As the youkai died mud flew in all directions. All the hardened mud in the ground became soft. Miroku, Sango, and Kirara slid out of their traps.

They all felt disgusted with the mud that flew on them. "This is so gross." Kagome said as she flicked the mud out of her hair the best she could. She walked back to the tree to collect the now awake Shippo.

He was the only one not covered in mud. The tree acted as a shield for him. "Well, if you would've stayed hidden like I told you, this wouldn't have happened!" Inuyasha yelled.

"You're blaming it on me? I tried to help you!" Kagome yelled.

"Here we go again." Shippo rolled his eyes. He sat down on the ground to watch the fight.

"I would've done fine on my own." Inuyasha folded his arms.

"That's it. I'm going home!" Kagome shouted.

"You can't go home. We still have shards to find!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Sit!" Kagome shouted as she headed towards the well. Luckily they weren't that far. When she reached the well she jumped. She walked to her house and opened the door. "Okaa-san I'm home." She announced.

When no one answered she went into the kitchen and found a note on the table.

It read:

Dear Kagome,

Ji-chan, Souta, and I have gone to Kyoto for Souta's soccer tournament. We should be back in two days. There's food in the cupboards and money upstairs in your desk drawer just in case. Sorry that we missed you.

Love,

Okaa-san, Souta, Ji-chan

Kagome sighed and threw the note away. They had just left a little while ago. Well, she would have the house to herself. That meant she could bathe without any interruptions. Running upstairs she started a much-needed hot bath. She smelled, and she had mud all over her.

Stripping down, she stepped into the tub after testing the water. She moaned as the warm water soothed her skin. She closed her eyes and relaxed. All angry thoughts left her mind, at least for the time being.

Inuyasha argued with himself for hours on whether to go back and get Kagome or not. He was pissed off because she wouldn't listen to him and she could've gotten seriously hurt. He couldn't live with himself if he wasn't there to protect her.

Finally deciding he ran towards the well. He would bring her back. Once he reached the well he jumped in without hesitation. He jumped out of the well and into her bedroom window.

He loved how her room smelled only of her. Her scent was something he'd never tire of. When they were fighting that smelly mud monster, no matter how powerful the smell, Kagome's scent still stood out. That's what stopped him from passing out. He concentrated on her scent and stayed focus.

The door opened and his jaw dropped when he saw Kagome walk into the room with a towel that barely covered anything on. "Inuyasha!" She screamed and made sure the towel covered her more private area. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to bring you back." He said gazing at her up and down.

Kagome felt his eyes on her and tried to hold back a blush. "I'm not going back." She said.

"Yes you are." Inuyasha said.

"I'm not." Kagome said.

"You are!" Inuyasha yelled.

Kagome's anger got the best of her and the two words no one ever thought they would hear innocent Kagome say came out. "Fuck you."

Inuyasha's mouth dropped down to the floor once again as he heard the words. Kagome would never say that and yet here she was saying it...in a towel no less. He couldn't help getting aroused. His innocent little Kagome saying dirty words.

Kagome didn't even know when it happened. One minute Inuyasha was in front of her and the next he had her against the door lips connected. Her brain hadn't even registered what happened until his tongue invaded her mouth.

As shocked as she was she still managed to respond. He growled in approval as she moved her tongue against his. Kagome moaned as she felt his arousal brush against her leg. She couldn't believe this was happening but it was.

Inuyasha's hands roamed her body until it found its destination, her breasts. He cupped them and listened to her moan. He smirked into her mouth and massaged her through the towel.

Kagome couldn't help but moan in response to his touches. Everything he was doing felt so right. Her body burned in the places he'd touched her. Their lips parted so they could breathe.

Inuyasha attacked her neck, kissing whatever skin was available to him. Thanks to the towel a lot was there. Kagome tilted her head exposing more skin. He went lower until her reached her breasts.

The towel stood in the way of what he wanted. He paused in massaging her breasts with his hands to remove the towel. His eyes took in the lovely sight of her. Her lips were puffy from the intense kissing. Her face was flushed and her eyes were glazed over in lust.

Sure he'd seen her naked before, but never like this. Not once did he get the pleasure of gazing at the wonderful sight in front of him. Her memorized the way her body looked and forever ingrained the image in his mind.

Kagome blushed and tried to cover herself. She felt so vulnerable just standing in front of him. She couldn't help feel uncomfortable under his gaze. Inuyasha grabbed her wrists to stop her from covering herself. He dropped her hands and dragged her over to the bed. He pushed her back so she was lying on it.

He smirked and leaned down to kiss her breasts. Kagome sucked in a breath and grabbed the sheets. Liking the reaction he got, he took the breast into his mouth while his hand massaged the other one.

Kagome arched her back in pleasure and groped his head to find one of his ears. Once she found it she rubbed the base eliciting a contented growl from Inuyasha. He shuddered from the sensation running through his body.

Inuyasha switched breasts as Kagome continued to rub his ears. His free hand traveled down her waist to her thighs. His thumb massaged the inside of her thigh as he moved back to kiss her lips.

Moving to the juncture between her legs, Inuyasha carefully slipped a finger inside of her. Kagome tensed at the feeling but relaxed as he slowly moved in and out, getting her ready for him. Soon he added another finger, then another.

Inuyasha kissed and sucked on her neck as Kagome panted heavily. His fingers pumped in and out faster until a wave of wetness came rushing onto his hand. He licked his fingers clean as Kagome recovered.

Kagome's eyes widened as she saw Inuyasha lick his hand clean. She watched in anticipation as he started removing his clothes. First his haori was removed and she could see his built chest. He was muscular, but not too much. Then finally his pants.

She was surprised to see how big he was. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever imagine such length. She didn't even know if it was possible to even go through with this.

Inuyasha leaned down to kiss her again. He leaned on his forearms so as not to crush her with his weight. He positioned himself over her opening. "This is going to hurt." He warned. After she nodded he thrusted into her.

Kagome's nails dug into his skin as she felt herself being torn. Tears made their way down her cheek as she clung to Inuyasha. He stilled his actions and kissed her neck, hoping to soothe her pain.

Soon enough the pain ebbed away and she was ready. She moved her hips letting him know it was ok to continue. He kissed her on the lips as he pulled out and slowly went back in. The pace was incredibly slow for him. He forced himself to be gentle for her sake.

Maybe another time he would release his animalistic instincts on her, but not now. Kagome moaned as she felt she was being filled instead of torn apart. Inuyasha also moaned as he pumped in and out of her.

He felt warm as he moved inside her. Like he was being brought back to life. He would give anything to relive the feeling. Their pace quickened as Kagome's gasps and moans grew louder and more intense.

Her fingers found his ears as he kissed her breasts. They were both in such bliss, neither one of them wanted to lose the feeling of each other, Inuyasha being inside of Kagome and Kagome being filled by Inuyasha.

Soon enough both of them felt something winding inside of them. The more pleasurable the feeling got the more promise it held for something even better at the end. They both went faster urging the other on so they could reach the end that promised so much more than they were already feeling.

Inuyasha could feel Kagome's muscles tighten around him as they were nearing the end. He readied his fangs to mark her for his life mate. Soon enough Kagome's body tightened and a burning hotness overwhelmed him.

Not being able to take the heat or the tightness of her muscles he growled and sank his fangs into her skin as he released his seed inside her. They sank into oblivion as they trembled in pleasure. The promise of something better was more than either could've imagined.

Several minutes after recovering from the aftershocks Inuyasha pulled out of Kagome and collapsed beside her. Speechless they both lie still resting in each other's presence. What could they say now? Did they just have meaningless sex because Kagome's words set him off?

No, Inuyasha couldn't just leave it like that. Not after he marked her. He rolled onto his side towards her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Aishiteru Kagome." Inuyasha mumbled into her neck.

Kagome smiled happy that she finally heard those words leave his lips. "Aishiteru, Inuyasha." Kagome whispered.

They both fell asleep knowing that they would be happy as long as the other was nearby.
