The wind began to take a new violent turn to it. It picked up its speed in one direction, then flung fiercely to the next. It was like a storm was coming toward them. The green leaves that hung high above decorated the trees that thrashed with rage. What type of misfortune could have been bestowed upon them to make the tress of bitter and resistant?
InuYasha began to growl. He could smell the scent of Narkau as he picked up his pace.
'Damn him.' He thought. 'If he has hurt Kagome, his death will be that much more slow.'
The hanyou had long ago abandoned his companions in hope of faster, lighter travel. Now was not the time for hurt feelings, or battered egos. No, now was the time of rescuing, saving, and destroying.
Sango had been upset at his words, claiming that she must go at her own pace. She was ready to take Naraku on by her self, and had a very good chance of winning with the amount of anger that was quickly building up inside of her. But he reminded her with the few seconds he sparred, that Kagomes life was on the line. It had made the world of difference.
Crimson flew through a haze of brown and green. His silver locks of hair sleeked back by the force of the wind. His ears were alert for danger, and any sign of Naraku. He was waiting for the moment that the powerful demon faulted.

A wagon pulled by the corps of a horse, long ago deceased, pulled a shady figure cloaked in darkness. The figure could be made out as a baboon, and from the minor glimpses of sun light that caught astray in the shadows, it was the color of white.
The wagon not only pulled this baboon man, but a cage. There was a black vail over it to keep peering eyes from looking in. The cloth made indents against the bars as the wind blew carelessly to it.
Naraku had no time to waste. The saying 'if you want something done right, you have to do it yourslef' was not one he tended to live by, but in the matter of Kagome, it was the golden rule.
His newest offspring was dangerous. Another sister to join her elders, yet she held just as much power as they did, perhaps even more.
Kagura had been his first creation. And his first mistake. He could tell that she was to be a rebellious one from the moment she left his flesh. But at the time, he had not cared, nor thought that she would go so far as to betray him. What she truly desired was freedom, she needed it like water. He played the cat and mouse game of it. He would allow her to take an inch, then set her back a mile. Hence she would never get what she wished.
But that was a lesson she must learn. No one acquires what they want. The fates have it so that if you wish for something, you must work back wards. Pain and suffering must always come before the reward, and in the grand scale of things, it was never that glorious as it had been when the mission first began.
All your dreams are is just a heart wrenching way to pass the time.
He had refused to accept this dim future. He had heard that it was 'yours for the taking' so he intended to do just that. And every second that passed, he realized what it was to be free.
But little did Naraku know, that his 'freedom' was just another part in the fates agenda. We are nothing more than pawns in the game of chess. We may only go forward, never backwards.
Kanna was a different story. After seeing the defiance that one of his won could bring, he tired about a different approach. A child so lifeless that her soul refused to stay. Her loyalty to him was undoubtable, but only would she report any mishaps if asked. She was just a zombie of a girl, white in every single way. She hungered for a soul, and her mirror collected the unworthy ones, filtering out the world of its useless life.
The wind began to pick up. It felt as if it was moving in one large circle. Naraku felt a strong presence move toward him.
An arrogant attitude with a subjective smirk began to form before his eyes. Koga met eye to eye with Narkau himself for the first time.

Sango and Miroku ran at an unbelievable rate as they were far too behind the hanyou.
"Sango-" The monk said breathlessly. "Lets rest for just a moment."
"Miroku! This is no time to relax!"
"Sango, we will be no goof in battle if we continue on like this." The monk argued.
The demon slayer considered it for a moment, then as if feeling the excess work out that they had just taken, she nodded her head.
"Yes, all right" She said. "But just for a minute, we cant fall too far behind."
"Yes," Miroku said, as he walked over to the shade of a tree. "If InuYasha is to face Naraku, he will need all the help he can get..."

Kagome walked around with a sudden zeal that seemed to take root out of no where. As much as she wished to stop, and admire the world around her, she knew that she could not.
She would have stayed all day, and idolized the nature around her. Narakus castle had been such an imprisonment, even though she had stayed for such a short while. In all of her life, she had never felt so trapped and disconnected to the world. She refused to go back to that state.
'I will die first.' She promised her self.
If Narkau wanted her, he would have to be an excellent player. She did not intend on giving up that easily.
Why her? What stood out that made such a demon want a person such as her self? Kagome felt that she had no out standing quality's that set her apart from any other women in this era, or hers for that matter. She had the same features, the same physical aspects as any other female. So why did he want her?
'Because,' She thought inwardly 'I resemble Kikyo...' Some how, that same thought was unable to leave her head.
The young miko continued walking, in search of the shelter of InuYashas arms. It suddenly dawned on her.
'What am I to say when I do see InuYasha? He... We... kissed... Things are going to be so different... But they already are. Every thing has changed...'
In such a short time, Kagomes whole life had turned upside down. She was just unsure at the moment if it was for the better, or worse.

Kikyo wandered through the forest as she tried to plot out what action she should take next. Things had taken an unexpected turn.
Did the fates truly wish that she not be with InuYasha that badly? Could they not favor her for one moment of her existence? Every thing had seemed to plot against her.
She could not even make a deal with a hanyou to free herself. No doubt at the time it had been underhanded, but it would benefit both. He was not accepted in neither demon or human society, polite or other wise.
But as time had passed, she began to grow fond of him. She had never known that you could convey your thoughts to some one and feel so free after words. It was always like a burden had been taken away from her after her visits with InuYasha. He was like an emotional rock, although he never showed any emotion for her other than that of pity.
But how many times had she witnessed, unknown of course, the wide spread emotions InuYasha held for Kagome? His smiles that were meant only for her, more often than not ear to ear.
Or the moments when he had seen him drift away in the sanctuary of her comforting arms. The many times of remorse, and of course, there had been the time she had seen his eyes heavily glazed with tears. He had been to proud for them to fall in front of his companions, but he head them. Kagome seemed to hold all the power.
But it was about to come to an end. Every thing was. InuYasha was hers. The only thing that remained was the inquiring of him.
He would come, he had to. The foolish man had promised his life in an attempt to repay her of the wrong that had taken place. It mattered not whether he regretted it. InuYasha had given his word. And one is nothing if you don't have your word.

Naraku met eyes with the enemy that had stalked his minions aimlessly in his opinion. His comrades had been killed in attempt to get rid of InuYasha. How ever, like most had, it had back fired.
Koga could not believe what he saw. For so long he had searched for Naraku, and here was. Unguarded, and unprotected. Why was he in the forest alone? Was Kagura not on watch high above? Could she really let her master be in such danger?
The half demon looked directly with out fear into pale blue eyes. A loud a growl was building in deep in the mans throat. He called out in a angered voice to him.
The leader of the wolf demon tribe met Narkau square in the eyes. He saw no emotion cross his shadowed features, nor could he smell a spike in his scent. It was as if he was a figment of his imagination.
"Naraku!" He bellowed out.
He did nothing in reply to the demons call.
"You heartless bastard, you killed my comrades. Prepare to fight."
Narkau let a sly smile grace the corners of his lips.
Koga became some what terrified for a second, at seeing the devilish grin come out of no where. But as soon as it came, it faded. He had to avenge his men...
Narkau could not believe the impudence that the wolf had. The nerve of him! Treating him as if he were so common foe. Well he would soon learn his place.
With out warning, Koga charged at Naraku who just stood, with out moving. Koga took a swipe at his right shoulder, and he was lost in a haze of purple fumes.

Shippo shifted nervously from one foot to the other as he stood at the door way of Kaedas hut, a cream colored cat by his side. He looked into the sky, watching as the clouds changed, forming new creations. He observed the oddly mutated shapes that he could pick out. But he was so worried that it brought no joy to him.
Every thing reminded him of Kagome. Often while they were resting, they would gaze up into the sky and pick out the shapes that were recognizable.
"Look Kagome! That ones a cat!"
She had giggled then added her finds.
"That one looks like a car."
"Whats a car Kagome?"
She had forgotten that he did not know of the futuristic items.
"Its something people use to get around in. It can go really fast."
"Really? Faster than InuYasha?"
Kagome thought it over for a second."
"I don't know... Maybe...."
"Faster than Koga?"
"I doubt it." Kagome laughed.
"Look! That one looks like a fish!" The kitsune cried out.
"It does!"
The next time Kagome returned from her era, she came with magazines of what her time looked like.
Every thing was so different. Colors that they had never seen were every where. Pastels of the sky and seas were plastered on peoples faces. Their attire made Kagomes school uniform look decent! Shippo blushed deeply as he scanned over the pages.
Sango was fascinated by the fashion of the clothes.
"How can they move in that? It looks like they are going to stop breathing their clothes are so tightly on them!"
Kagome laughed.
"I know. People can be so stupid."
As Shippo thought more and more back, he became deeply depressed. He had lost Kagome in a way that he did not know how to describe. He had lost both of his parents, and he now felt like he had just lost one more.
