Inuyasha couldn't have had a better morning.

 

" Inuyasha!" Kagome yelled once more, she didn't know why he was doing this to her after last night.

 

" No, bitch."

 

" Why not?"

 

" Because you can't!"

 

" Yes I can! Your the only one stopping me!"

 

" Sorry, Kags. This is where I put my foot down! You can not see anyone outside this house."

 

" And why not!"

 

" Because!" This was getting nowhere, Kagome concluded as gave out a growl that had even Inuyasha cowering. It was going so great, they had woken up together, washed together...well actually he washed her, and eaten a great breakfast when Sango called. " You...you don't...scare me..." Sango had wanted to go out like friends usually do but Inuyasha was being a pain!

 

" Then why are you hiding behind the couch?"

 

" I'm not hiding, I dropped something. Besides, do you remember what happened last time we went outside these walls?" She remembered all to well. Kikyo had shown up and would have killed Inuyasha had it not been for her.

 

" Inuyasha, Sango is also an agent at Demon Inc. so there is nothing to be afraid about. I wont be harmed."

 

" I'll go with you."

 

" What? Why?"

 

" To make sure."

 

" No, its just me and Sango having some girl time. Miroku wont be there! This could be the only time I have to spend with her."

 

" Its either I go or you don't."

 

" Inu, please? I promise to 'play' later."

 

" Tempting but I don't want my bitch out of my sight."

 

" Stop saying bitch! I know your a dog and I'm your woman but I am still human!"

 

" Whats your point? You should love being my bitch!"

 

" Love? Now thats a stupid thing to bring up! Shouldn't dogs and their 'bitches' love each other before they mate? Huh Inuyasha? How about actually liking eachother and not arguing for once! I am going out! I am not an object you must take care of!" With that Kagome stormed out of the room and left the house leaving Inuyasha in a mess. Did she not care at all for him? Did last night mean nothing?

Kagome and Sango went shopping but for once in her life she didn't want to be at the mall. She wanted to be with Inuyasha, wrapped in his arms feeling protected and safe. " Kagome you feeling alright?"

 

" Huh?" Has Sango been talking to her.

 

" I said, 'do you know what your feelings are to Inuyasha?' Then, 'Kagome are you listening to me? I then ended with 'Kagome you feeling alright?' " Sango rolled her eyes at the girl, when something was bothering her Kagome would turn into a total zombie!

 

" O, sorry Sango! Its just I can't stop thinking about him. You see, I left after we had an argument and man did I say some harsh things!"

 

" No matter what, every couple have their fights. Why worry about it? I'm sure he didn't take it seriously."

 

" We are speaking of Inuyasha. He takes everything seriously."

 

" Hey, I'm only trying to cheer you up!" Thinking, Sango came up with the one idea that always put Kagome in a good mood. " How about some ice cream?"

 

" Now your speaking my language!" Getting some icecream the girls began to talk and catch up on everthing that they had missed out on. It was close to sunset when Sango felt it was time to say good-bye to her dear friend, leaving her one warning, " Tonight there be no moon, Inuyasha will not be himself so if he seems weird don't worry about it!" Kagome wanted to know what she meant by that but she had already taken off.

' Hope Inuyasha's not mad I was gone all day.' Kagome thought walking into the pitch black house. ' Why is it so dark in here?' " Kagome is that you?" The voice came from the living room and so Kagome followed it.

 

" Sorry for it being so late I didn't know I'd be gone for that long." She heard him Keh while turning the corner. What was wrong with him? Wasn't he mad?

 

" Its ok, next time call me or something to let me know your alright." She finally got to the living room and what she saw made her stand as stiff as a board. Sitting in the couch was a man with black hair and no doggy ears. 'Who was this man? How did he get in? Was he sent by Naraku?' That last thought made Kagome's heart beat faster with fear. The man got up slowly, turning, Kagome saw..." Inuyasha?"

 

" What? Never seen a human before?"

 

" Not when he is suppose to be a demon!"

 

" I'm half demon, which means I am half human. Didn't you learn that one time a month we lose are demonic powers?"

 

" Once, but I really didn't listen. Every month, every new moon?"

 

" Yea, and I...well this isn't easy but...I'm sorry for fighting with you early Kagome."

 

" No you don't have to..."

 

" Yea I do. I'm sorry for being overprotected, its just, I don't know what I'd do without you Kagome. Please don't hate me."

 

" I don't hate you, I was just mad."

 

" And you had every right."

 

" No I didn't, If I cared for you as much as I think I do, I wouldn't have said all those things to you Inuyasha." Her body began to tremble as tears threaten to fall, " I was wrong and I didn't mean anything I said."

 

" Kagome..." Inuyasha said softly as he went to hold his mate in his arms. His noise burned at the salty smell of her tears. " Don't cry, I don't want you to cry."

 

" I'm sorry, Inuyasha!"

 

" Don't worry about Kagome, I..." He wanted to tell her, to tell her what had been on his mind all day. " Kagome, I love you and I don't want to see you so sad." She never heard his words. She had already cried herself to sleep in his loving embrace.
