Chapter 2
Soft light filtered through takara's eyelids as she started to awaken, trying to focus on he
r surroundings the previous night came pounding back to her. She knew he was watching her
carefully she opened her eyes and found herself almost face to face with the very serious
dog youkai. Her eyes trailed down to his arm to find a blue paw print with a gold crescent
moon intertwined. "We are mates, we leave ...Now." sesshomoru said breaking the silence.
Stunned she stared after the dog youkai, then quickly got annoyed. Soon she was dressed, but
she'd be hard pressed to be told what to do so she looked at the direction she'd last seen
him go and headed back towards her friends with some luck she'd be able to hide this new
surprise until she was able to handle it.
Suddenly he was in front of her, "where do you think your going mate," he snapped. She just
ignored him, his hand reached out gripping her wrist. Her stomach tightened as she turned
her head, " 3 days" is all he said before dropping her arm and she disappeared into the
forest.

He watched her go, his beast snapped and snarled that she was his. Take your mate. But
sesshomoru let her go if she didn't return in three days he *was* going to get her. He
looked at his hand almost bringing it to his face to smell her scent again. He scoffed at
himself disgusted, and walked to the river to wash his hand but not before grabbing his
discarded haori. Without thinking about what he was doing he buried his nose in the garment
and inhaled. Realizing what he had been doing he threw the garment into the river and
proceeded to wash it too. He had been away to long so now it was time to find jakken and rin
. He would never admit it but he would protect rin to the death, no he refused to admit it
even to himself. He wrung out the haori and started towards where he had left his "family".


Takara half ran and half walked in the forest, nose to the air she searched for inuyasha or
kagomes scent. It took her an hour before she picked them up and then she was off. She had
been so determined on finding them she almost missed his smell. Koga...she thought and he
was coming her way, she felt him stop and then anger tinted the air . He knew, all she
could do is watch him race towards her, her brother.
Koga had been out hunting for the pack that morning. Being the pack leader had its benefits
and this was definitely one, the ability to hunt alone. Standing next to an old tree he
inhaled searching for prey. A familiar scent stopped him, his sister was nearby. The last
time he had seen her she had been traveling with the mutt. His mood darkened when he thought
of the hanyou called inuyasha. Not only had he stolen his woman ,but also his sister. He
couldn't understand what they saw in the half-breed. Walking again he headed in her direct
ion eager to see her. He was stopped by a scent he knew all to well, sesshomoru..and it was
stamped all over his sister. He began to see red as he headed towards her, he wanted answers
.
Takara watched with dread as koga got closer. Before he could yell at her she threw herself
into his arms and held tight. He was so surprised he just hugged her back, the hair around
her neck had shifted to the left and koga saw 3 red claw slashes imposed over a pale blue
moon. Dumbfounded koga stilled in the hug pulling back he stared at her face, tears leaking
down the side of her face. " Your mated!?" he said shocked. Her face crumpled and nodded,"
to sesshomoru" he said carefully. She nodded again, " oh koga what am I gonna do?" she said
tearfully, "what will inuyasha think." "inuyasha! Is that all you think of now....what
about me your brother. You're mated to a dog youkai how do you think that makes me feel.?"
koga said frustrated. Suddenly he was crushed in a hug," I do worry how you feel koga,but
your my family I know you. Even if you hate it you'll still be with me all the way you won't
abandon me. He's my best friend and I like him in my life, you know how he feels about
sesshomoru..."she said. " well you know if you let someone else mark you they could...."
he trailed off when he saw her blush," you completed the mating?" he said incredously.
Blushing harder takara nodded," it wasn't planned he found me and..um...well..you know."
she said. "You remember when everything seemed so simple ," she whispered,” when I had
inuyasha and then kagome came along and you thought you had found your mate." The hurt
rolled off her in waves so bad, that it hurt his nose. " You know they're together now?"
she said softly. This time he looked away trying to hide the lone tear, " oh koga, what are
we gonna do were in love with one half of a whole and I’m mated to my best friends hated
brother. I can't even hate him for what he did because my beast recognized him. He's mine
in the truest sense of the word.” she said. She opened her mouth to say something else only
to be ripped away from koga. She looked up ready to kill the one who had pulled her from
her brother only to be facing her mate.
~Meanwhile~
Sesshomoru had found jakken and rin in the morning with relative ease. After making sure
they were okay he had set down to clean his weapons and feed ah un. Then he set a course
towards where he had seen takara run off, he knew his mate would be trying to get back to
the miko and his half-breed brother. Walking for an hour and a half he stumbled across her
scent. Almost writing it off to her passing by ages ago he caught her current scent entangle
d with a very annoying wolfs scent. He made his way in their direction in time to see her
throw herself into the wolf kings arms and talk closely with him while mutual single tears
slid down each others faces. Right then his beast exploded and before he knew it he was in
front of the pair throwing koga away from her. He brought himself face to face with takara.
He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by koga. "hey sesshomaru ever hear
d of not barging into a private conversation," he said hotly. Sesshomaru let go of takara
abruptly and stalked to koga with a flick of his shoulder his fur (mokomoko) extend and
wrapped around his ankle dragging koga towards him . Hanging the wolf king upside down his
claws extended outwards towards his throat. "Lets try this WOLF CUB," he started low in his
throat, " she is my mate I would prefer if you refrained contact with her. Koga eyed him
defiantly upside down," I'll do what I want," he spat out refusing to reveal the true nature
of their relationship. Moving his arm back sesshomaru started to strike to only find his
arm unable to move. Looking to his left he found takara hanging onto his arm, his eyes
burned with anger that seeped into his entire body stilling it in place. He opened his
mouth only to find them suddenly connected . Her kiss radiated with the plea to let koga go
and before either could stop it, sesshomaru slanted his mouth and the kiss deepened to
something more. The mokomoko released koga dumping him to the ground suddenly. Not knowing
whether to stay or go koga stared at the two angrily. Breaking from the kiss sesshomaru
eyed him coolly, " It's not polite to stare." " Look as much as I know your enjoying this
LORD Sesshomaru could you wait to maul my sister out of my presence?" koga said
sarcastically. Eyes raised in surprise he looked down at the woman in his arms, smelling the
blush immediately he spotted the similarities in both wolves smell. Pulling away from
takara he started towards the woods again stopping only to turn towards and say," 2 days
mate...two days," and with that he turned disappearing into the foliage.
