Unforgivable Love

Chapter 5: First Fight

Kagome, Inu-Yasha, Sora were greeted by Kaede, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kilala. Sora woke up for the brief introductions and then fell back asleep. They all went inside Kaede's hut to talk. Miroku decided to pry into Inu-Yasha and Kagome's private business.

"So, when did the two of you do it?"

After many shouts of hentai, some slaps, and a few pleas from Miroku, the hut quieted down once again.

"Why does it matter, Miroku," Inu-Yasha asked.

"It doesn't. I was just curious. Inu-Yasha and Kagome haven't seen each other in almost four yeas. They would have had to mate before both of them left the village."

Inu-Yasha and Kagome blushed.

"Miroku, it matters not. Leave Inu-Yasha and Kagome be," Kaede said.

"What I want to know is why I couldn't smell it," Shippo said.

"I'm a little curious about that myself," Inu-Yasha said.

"It normally takes about a week for a demon to be able to tell whether or not his mate is pregnant. Since either Shippo or you couldn't smell it, we can only assume that you mated within the week Kagome left," Kaede said.

The room became quiet after that. Sango decided that they needed to talk about something better.

"Sora is so cute. What made you call her that, Kagome," Sango asked

"After Sora was born, all I could think of was the sky for some reason. Maybe it's because I had a tendency to look out my window at the sky."

The room became quiet once again. Inu-Yasha turned towards Kagome. He studied her.

She really missed me. There's so much we need to talk about.

"Kaede, do you mind watching Sora for a little while. Kagome & I need to talk," Inu-Yasha said.

Kaede nodded as Inu-Yasha grabbed Kagome's hand and yanked her out of the tent.

"Do you think they'll be alright Kaede," Sango asked.

"We can only hope that their relationship will bloom and grow. Kagome is the first person Inu-Yasha has let into his heart since Kikyo betrayed him. Kagome was the only one who can heal the wounds of his heart and it seems that she has to some extent, but…" Kaede trailed off.

"But what," Miroku asked.

"Inu-Yasha may revert to the stubborn person that he was or he may hold a grudge with Kagome."

"A grudge," Shippo asked.

"Inu-Yasha will most likely drag young Sora into this. Kagome didn't bother to try to tell him about Sora, but she couldn't have if she wanted too."

"What do you mean," Sango asked.

"In order to pass through the well, one needs at least one shard of the Shikon jewel. The only other way is if the power flows through the body of the person who had once possessed the jewel. Kagome didn't have one since she gave it to Inu-Yasha before she left. It probably would be best if we let them figure this out on their own. Let us leave them be for now."

The others nodded and got up to go to their own huts for rest.

"Inu-Yasha, stop! That hurts."

Kagome's arm felt like it was going to be ripped from her body. Inu-Yasha was walking too fast and was dragging her along. Hearing Kagome's plea, Inu-Yasha let go of her arm.

"What is wrong with you," Kagome asked.

Inu-Yasha didn't answer her.

"Inu-Yasha!"

"Kagome, we need to talk."

"About what?"

"Damn it Kagome! Why are you being so difficult?"

"I'm being difficult. What about you? You're the one that dragged me out into the middle of nowhere and almost ripped my arm off."

"Well, you're slow."

"Sit!"

Inu-Yasha fell to the ground. Kagome looked and saw that the rosary had been replaced around Inu-Yasha's neck. It took Kagome a moment to realize that she had taken the rosary off years before and that if it hadn't been replaced around Inu-Yasha's neck it would have been useless.

"What was that for?"

"I'm not slow."

With that Kagome stomped off deeper into the woods.

Why did I put this back on? Now I'll be eating dirt again whenever she gets mad.

Inu-Yasha knew that they still needed to talk, so he took off to find Kagome.

Kagome walked further into the forest. She needed to distance herself from Inu-Yasha and think. She walked until she reached a small clearing. She sat down and began to cry.
