Chapter 16~ The Ruthless Koga Appears
It was a gloomy rainy day as Kaede and Miroku were deep in meditation as Sago, Kirara and Shippo stood guard the outside of the hut for their venerable meditating friends.
Koga appeared looking around frantically -“Were is she? I smell her.” his eyes were red, he had lost all of his consciousness to his demon blood that yearned for a mate.
He grew closer to the border of the illusion.
Shippo whisper to Sango-“ If he passes threw the illusion he will see the hut and all of us.”
Sango nodded and lifted her boomerang, ready to fight.
Kirara transformed into her full demon form.
Shippo readied all of his toys-*I have to be brave. I will help protect Kagome with my life if I need too.* his tail started to shake with fear.
Koga crossed the illusions boundary and laid his eyes on the old woman and the monk that sat off to his right.-“Tricky.” his eyes went to the hut and his feet began to fallow.
Sango jumped into the air and threw her boomerang at Koga.
Koga dodged the boomerang and ran at the demon slayer.
He caught her by the throat while she was in midair, he slammed her into the ground.
Koga was kneeling next to the limp body of the slayer with his hand still clenching her neck-“You think you can stop me.”
Kirara suddenly bit into the demons leg with her long saber teeth.
Koga screamed in pain and kicked the demon cat with one of his lags that had a jewel shard imbedded in it.
Kirara fell to the ground with a loud thud .
Miroku ran towards the body on the ground-“NO...... SANGO.”
Kaede stood on her small porch and with her bow noted and aimed at the demon and let her arrow fly.
Koga dodged the arrow just in time. Then another arrow appeared out of no were, but this one was a purifying arrow. It was heading for the entry of the hut, were Kagoma was now standing.
The old woman placed herself in front of Kagome. The arrow struck Kaedes leg. It arrow sizzled as blue sparks flew off of it.
Kagome screamed-“NO KAEDE.” as the elder fell to the ground off the porch.
Inuyasha grabbed Kagome and pulled her back into the hut-“What are you doing , trying to get yourself killed?”
Shippo squealed -“GRANNY” Koga was heading for the toward the hut when a small childlike fox stepped in his path. The little boy looked quite mad and the fox squealed “FOX FIRE.”
The wolf was caught off guard as the small attack stunned him.
Miroku threw his luxuria counter scrolls at the demon from behind.
Koga turned and shredded the paper wards that flew threw the air at him ,he had grabbed the small fox child as he turned-“Your in my way kit.”
He flung the ball of fur into the forest. The maddened wolf ran at Miroku before the monk had time to react.
Miroku shifted out of the way, hitting Koga in the stomach with his staff and then hit the wolf on the head as his body twisted around.
He didn’t realize that in there passing the wolf demon prince had stabbed a short dagger into his side.
His vision became blurred. Miroku looked down to see a daggers handle sticking out of his side. He fell to the ground in pain and passed out.
Koga stood up and pulled the dagger from the monks lifeless body-“Now that that’s take care of.” he ran to the hut.
Kaede had drug herself over to the monk to check on him.
Kikyo had emerged from the lining of the dense forest-“That was foolish Kaede. You should learn to stay out of my way.” the dead miko stood above her younger sister.
Kikyo placed her hand on the arrow and closed her eyes. She had a look of struggle on her face. Kaede-“Leave me be. For ye are not my sister.”
Her eyes opened wide.-“No it can’t be!” Her face grew with fear and a lost look as she stared at her hands before her..
Kaede-“It was a matter of time Kikyo. Ye pureness has run dry as an old dry well.”
She turned and left the same way she had came-“You turn your back on your elder sister for a girl that doesn’t belong in this world. You are the one who is foolish.”

Inuyasha was standing in front of Kagome, whom was wincing in pain on the floor, with his Tessaiga drawn.
Koga -“Move aside butt licker.”
Inuyasha growled- “Stay away from her Koga.”
Koga-“She is my woman. She will produce nice wolflings for me.”
Inuyasha screaming-“This is the last time I’ll tell you, She’s not your woman.”
Kagome saw Kogas red eyes filled with lust, she gasped.
Koga looked down at Kagome-“ Don’t worry I’m about to clam her as mine.” he ran at Inuyasha.
Kagome grabbed the sheet and scooted into a corner of the room. And bundled herself in to a ball.
Inuyasha-“NEVER.” lifting his tessaiga over a shoulder and swing at the wolf.
Koga ducked under the blade and hit Inuyasha in the stomach that sent him flying into the wall.
Kagome screamed-“INUYASHA.”
Koga was now closing in on her.
He ran at the demon and caught Koga in the stomach with his shoulder, and ran threw the wall of the hut-“RUN KAGOME”
Kagome jumped up and ran out of the hut. She saw her friends were all laid out on the ground, unconscious. She ran for it, threw the thick trees of Inuyasha’s forest.
Reopening the wounds that had began to heal.-*He’s after me, not them. If I stay and help. He’ll hurt them more. I still feel so weak.*

Inuyasha and Koga were on the ground outside of the hut. Broken planks of wood were scattered around them.
Inuyasha looked up and saw his friends lifeless bodies-“YOU BASTARD” his fist met Kogas face several times until Koga laid lifelessly.
Inuyasha heard a faint voice call his name. He looked up to see Shippo, who was staggering away from the forest tree line-“In...uya..sha” he collapsed.
Inuyasha felt a tremendous blow to his chest. He went flying backwards and skidded to a stop on the ground.
Seeing what Koga did to his friends and what Koga was planing to do to Kagome, drove Inuyasha over the edge completely.
Inuyashas eyes were now flashing from red to gold quickly-“I’M GOING TO KILL YOU KOGA .”
Koga felt fear like never before-*Is he turning full demon? This is too dangerous I have to get out of here and find my mate.*
Inuyasha watched the wolf disappear into the distant tree line of Inuyasha’s forest-*He’s going after Kagome. I have to stop him.* he ran off following Koga sent.

She ran and ran even though she was in tremendous pain.-“OH NO” she skidded to a halt clinging to the sheet that was rapped around her naked body.
She was looking over a deep ravine from a top of a very tall cliff.-“A dead end.” *Did I loose Koga? I hope Inuyasha and the others are all right.*
Pain from her wounds and her stomach doubled her over. She was on her hands and knees looking over the edge of the cliff panting.
Koga ran threw the woods-*I smell her, she ran this way. Now I will have her for my own.*
In no time at all he was standing at the cliff.
“How is my Kagome.” the smirking demon said with a lustful glare as he eyed his pray.
Kagome faced Koga, supporting her body weight with one arm and clinging to her stomach -“Koga you’re not yourself rate now. Please don’t do this Koga.” fear was in her voice of trying to reason with the hormone driven demon.
Koga snarled slightly -“I have always wanted you. And now you are mine forever.” He was about to jump at her as Inuyasha entered his tunnel vision.
The angry wolf screamed-“CANT YOU JUST DIE DOG TURD.”
Inuyasha snarled back with rage-“Not by a pathetic rabid wolf.”
Koga had leapt at Inuyasha and landed a kick square in his chest. Which sent Inuyasha off the cliff.
Inuyasha -*What the hell? I didn’t even see that coming.* his eyes locked on Kagome “Kagome”
Kagome was looking over the cliff in horror -“NO INU...YA...SHA”. Her arm was stretched out to the falling hanyou.
She closed her eyes tightly -*NO I WONT LET YOU LEAVE ME.* Her body was glowing purple with tremendous power that raged threw her body.
Inuyasha saw a large bolder below that would shortly end his life.
Then a glowing light began to surround the hanyou and grew stronger in it’s abduction -*What the hell is going on?*
The power stopped him in mid air before he was to hit the bolder below.
He felt a jerk, he was flying at a tremendous speed into the air.
Inuyasha shot up from the ravine way into the sky.
Then the light let him fall slower to a cliff ledge on the opposite side of the riven.
The light disappeared before it could give him a soft landing.
Inuyasha was facing the cliff face-*What was that? Where is KAGOME?* He turned around to see Koga closing in on the weak girl who was laying on the ground panting as if she had already fought for her life in a losing battle.
Inuyasha screamed in horror- “ KAGOME FIGHT! I KNOW YOU CAN” -*She saved me instead of herself.* -“NOOOOO KAGOME!...”
She weakly got to her feet. She looked at Inuyasha with saddened filled eyes-*I can’t Inuyasha. At least he is okay or I would never forgive myself. But I will not subject myself or Inuyasha to the cruel fate Koga has in store for me either.*
Koga-*Now’s my chance. She’s mine.* He walked to the back of the miko and grabbed her arms.
A purple light softly surrounded Kagome. She whirled around and pressed her spread out hands onto Kogas chest. With contact the energy surged out of control. Koga stated screaming in pain. Inuyasha had jumped to the other side of the cliff and was running up to the mangy hairball of a wolf. He saw Kagome start to fall limply.
Kogas shot his shoulder into Kagomes stomach-“If I can’t have you not one can.” He threw them off the cliff.
Inuyashas eyes widened with fear and disbelief -“...KA...GO....ME”
Kagome screamed as Kogas feet left the ledge. Suddenly Inuyashas face appeared with and out stretched hand. Kagome reached just in time for their hands to clasp together.
Inuyashas nails dug into the ground as his body slid off the side of the cliff.
Inuyasha looked down at the miko as they were dragged by sure weight further off the cliffs edge and stopped abruptly again-“Hold on Kagome.”
Kagomes eyes were watering, her voice came soft and sweet-“Inu..yasha.” her grip began to weaken “we both can’t make it.”
A terrifying fear ran threw the hanyou.
Inuyasha looked sternly at the girl-“I’ll never let you go Kagome. NEVER!”
Inuyasha threw the young woman up and over the cliff on to solid ground. Then he pulled himself up to find Kagomes body laying on the ground.
Kagome weakly spoke-“Inu..ya..sha” he had hurried to her side.
Inuyasha-“Are you hurt?” * I smell her blood.* he pulled the miko to him in an embrace and laid a hand on her cheek.
Kagome-“ My wounds have reopened.”
Anger took over Inuyasha-“QUICK TO LEAVE ME HUH. REMEMBER WHAT I SAID KAGOME?”
Kagome looked at him with a weak questioned look.
Inuyasha softened with concern -“Don’t leave me.”
Kagome softly smiled-“I’m sorry Inuyasha. But I would rather die then let Koga have his way with me.”
Inuyasha was shocked from her statement- *I thought she liked Koga seeing how she never let me kill him before.* he lifted Kagome up in his arms.
The thin sheet was clinging to her body from the rain. Inuyasha could hardly tell that she had a sheet still rapped around her at all. His hot breath could be seen on the coolness of the air. He took off his kimono and rapped it around her.
The hanyou swept the girl into his arms and raced back to Kaedes.
