Sesshomaru had reluctantly agreed to join the two hanyou on their quest for the Shikon Jewel shards that remained. “By the way, Inuyasha, whatever happened to the jewel shards that Naraku had?” Shippo asked. Inuyasha smirked and reached into his haori. He tossed the glowing pink orb into the air and caught it between his index and middle fingers. “Ya mean this? I think Kagura must have taken it with her after the battle. I found it in that cave after we rescued Kagome.” “How come you waited until now to mention this?” Mika asked angrily. “Dunno. Didn't feel like it I guess.” (A/N: Truthfully, I kinda forgot. I was going to mention it sooner, but forgot by the time I was done.) Mika growled, wishing very much that she had the power to `sit' him right now. “Your squabbles amuse me. Do continue.” “Shut up, Fluffy!” both hanyou yelled. Sesshomaru stepped back, not wanting to incur their wrath yet again. “Tell me, kitsune, are they always this angry?” “Pretty much. Usually, its just Inuyasha, but recently, Mika's been extremely ticked off.”
Shippo was dead on with his assessment. Mika was very upset after what she had heard Inuyasha say in the well shrine. “I don't love Mika nearly as much as I love you.” The words haunted her constantly. How could she compete with Kagome, nisou from the future? “I will beat her. I know I can make Inuyasha love me. I could make him jealous…Damn, if only Sesshomaru weren't my brother!” “Sesshy, you're positive we're related, right?” “Yes, sister, why do you keep asking me this?” “Oh, no reason.” Inuyasha looked at the two of them strangely as he put the almost complete Shikon no Tama back in his haori. “Well, I guess now's as good a time as any to go steal those wimpy wolf's shards.” Rin, Jaken and Shippo climbed on Ah-Un's back, while the three inu-siblings decided to ride Kirara. “No sense in leaping around when we have Kirara, right, Sesshy?” Mika asked. Sesshomaru sighed. “First a human girl, Ah-Un, and a toad, now I'm stuck with a two-tail, a kitsune, and my two half-siblings? How I wish I weren't immortal!”
Soon, Kirara picked up the scent of the ookami prince and his tribe. Sesshomaru signaled to Ah-Un, who landed beside them outside of a small cave. “Well, shall we go in?” Mika asked. Both inu-brothers nodded. “Rin, you stay out here with Jaken and Shippo.” “Yes, Lord Sesshomaru.” The three siblings then proceeded into the cave where the found an interesting sight. “Kouga, what the hell?” Inuyasha griped. “What the hell are you mutts doing here? “Kouga, who are those inu-youkai?” “No one, Ayame, now go find your clothes!” Ayame scurried off as Kouga quickly put on his clothing. “Tell me that Kagome isn't with you.” “Nope. Kagome went back to her own time. Oh yeah, I guess we forgot to tell you that she lives five hundred years in the future.” Inuyasha smirked as Kouga's jaw fell. “What???!!!! Kagome's from the future? How the hell is that possible? And why didn't she ever tell me?” “Why didn't you ever tell her that every time you asked her to be your mate, you were fucking Ayame on the side?” “That's none of your business, mutt!” Sesshomaru walked up to the ookami and put Tokyjin's blade to his throat. “Excuse me, ookami prince, I am a bit hard of hearing. Did you just call him a mutt?” Kouga looked down at the katana's sharp blade and gulped. “Me? Call a descendant of Inutaisho a mutt? Never.” Sesshomaru put Tokyjin back in its sheath and said, “I thought not.” “What are you here for anyway, Inuyasha?” “Your jewel shards, what else? We killed Naraku, not to mention Kikyo and Kagura. Now, all we need are your shards to complete the jewel.” (A/N: Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and say that Kagura killed Kohaku for his shard already, so Kouga's are all that's left. So ya know.) “You killed Kagura?” Kouga now seemed to be pouting. “What's the matter with that?” “I wanted to kill her.” Everyone then groaned. “Kouga, just give us the damn jewel shards before I chop off your legs and take `em myself!” “What possible reason can you give me for giving you my shards?” Mika smiled slyly. As she walked up to Kouga, she whispered to Inuyasha, “I'll take care of this.” Putting on her most seductive look, she went behind Kouga and put her arms around his neck. “Because, Kouga-kun, if you do, I'll give you something special in return.” Kouga began to blush slightly. “I…uh… Ayame and I…” “Oh, don't worry about Ayame. She can handle herself. What you need to worry about is me.” Mika growled playfully and blew in his ear. Kouga began to feel weak in the knees. “So, please, Kouga-kun, give up your shards. For me?” Slowly, Kouga nodded. Carefully, Mika unsheathed her Kataki. “I wonder if I can do this without hurting him?” In response, her Kataki glowed bright lavender and, as if by magic, both shards left Kouga's legs and clung to the sword. “Weird, but it worked.” Surprisingly, Kouga had no wounds whatsoever. “Wow, that was odd. Well, do I get my payment now?” Kouga asked, raising an eyebrow. Mika smiled. “Sure. Close your eyes, Kouga-kun.” Kouga closed his eyes and eagerly awaited the fell of Mika's lips against his own. Instead, he felt a fist connect with his skull. “Sorry, Kouga, she' s my woman.” Inuyasha announced, holding Mika against him. Mika blushed greatly as Kouga rubbed his aching head. “See ya, wimpy wolf!” Inuyasha called as they left the cave. Kouga grumbled as he made his way back to Ayame. “Damn mutts, he muttered. “We heard that!” “And their super hearing!”
