I'm trying to get into the Inuerotica community, so help would be welcome.
Kagome tossed her over-stuffed bright yellow backpack out of the well with a grunt of effort. She pulled herself over with considerably more ease, shouldering her pack to head to the village.
“Kagome! You’re finally back! Did you bring me some pocky?” Shippo squealed as he glomped onto her. Kagome smiled and patted him on the head.
“I think I might have some in my bag. Should I check?”
Shippo nodded enthusiastically, almost drooling. She put down the pack and stuck her hand in to feel around, pretending not to be able to find any.
“Gee, Shippo, maybe I didn’t…ah! Here it is!”
She pulled out a large box of chocolate flavored pocky and handed it to him.
“Thanks Kagome!” he scooted off to enjoy his hoard. This gave Kagome a chance to look around the hut, and she frowned.
“Where’s Inuyasha? I thought he’d be here.”
Everyone was quiet.
At last, Sango said nervously, “Wasn’t he with you? He said he was going to wait by the well.”
Miroku nodded in agreement.
“Well, I’ll just have to go look for him. We’ll be back soon.”
“Wait! Kagome…”
“Yes Sango?”
Sango looked away, noting the tightness of her friend’s jaw.
“Nothing.”
Kagome left the hut determined to find Inuyasha. She was afraid of what she might discover, but she hoped she was wrong. As she passed the well and went further into the woods, she found she wasn’t. It was worse than she had imagined. He and Kikyo were locked in a passionate kiss, the dead miko’s fingers deftly undoing his haori. Kagome didn’t know whether to be angry or burst into tears. It was obvious what was about to happen, and she couldn’t help but wonder if it hadn’t happened before. Unable to hold back a sob, she turned to run. As she was turning she saw Kikyo pull back with a smug smile. She had taken no more than two steps when Inuyasha’s voice reached her.
“Kagome! Don’t leave me alone with her!”
Reluctantly she looked back. His appearance shook her. He looked haggard, face pale and drawn. But the most shocking thing was his eyes. They were filled with a wild fear, an emotion she had never seen in him. Slowly, she began to walk towards him.
“Inuyasha?”
Kikyo reached out to him, but he pulled away, the look of fear growing stronger.
“Don’t touch me! Keep your fucking dead hands offa me!”
Kikyo never lost her smug smile as her soul catchers lifted her into the air.
“I will be back Inuyasha. Count on it.”
After she had floated away, Kagome put a hand on Inuyasha’s shoulder, quickly removing it when she felt him flinch. He whirled on her, gripping her upper arms tightly.
“She asked me to…I didn’t want…so she…please, don’t leave! I’m sorry!’
He babbled.
Kagome felt sick when she realized what had been about to happen. The sick feeling intensified when she thought how she had almost left him.
“It’s alright, I’m not going to leave you.” She said soothingly, slowly raising her hands to stroke his. A bit of coherency seeped into his eyes, and he relaxed his grip, but didn’t fully let go. Taking this as a good sign, she asked, “Can you tell me what happened?”
Inuyasha took a deep, shuddering breath.
“I was waiting for you by the well. One of her soul-catchers came by and wanted me to follow it. I decided to go and try to get rid of her as soon as I could. She wanted me to stay there, but I told her I had to get back to you. That made her mad at first, but then she said that if I stayed she’d let me take her. I told her I didn’t want to do that with her, then she fucking…she just fucking…”
He abruptly turned away, trying to hide his emotions, but Kagome was having none of it. She put her arms around his waist in a loose hug, satisfied when he didn’t pull away.
“Kagome, please don’t hate me for this.”
Kagome gave him a reassuring squeeze.
“I could never hate you, baka. I’m not even upset with you. You didn’t do it willingly.”
His head hung in shame despite her words. “I shouldn’t ‘ve gone to see her. I should’ve waited for you. Back when she shot me, I wasn’t really mad at her, just hurt. But now, now I think I hate her.”
“Don’t worry. I won’t ever leave you alone with her again.”
She felt him slump, and hastened to add, “I trust you Inuyasha, but I don’t trust her. What she did today was sick, and wrong. Stop blaming yourself. You thought you could trust her, and she betrayed that. You did nothing wrong.”
Inuyasha gave a short, jerky nod, and they stood that way for several minutes.
“Sango and Miroku are probably worried about us, so let’s head back.” She turned to lead the way, then stopped when he didn’t follow.
Answering her silent question, “I don’t want to see them for awhile. You go ahead if you want.”
Kagome saw beyond his feeble effort at bravado.
“Why don’t we go to my time?”
she saw him about to protest, so she quickly added, “”My family isn’t home right now. They’ll be gone for at least a week, so there’s no one there to bother you. Plus, you won’t have to worry about running into Kikyo.”
Inuyasha gave in. “Fine. Let’s go now.”
They walked in silence to the well, where Kagome remembered something. “Wait here a minute. I need to go get my bag, and tell everyone where we’ll be.”
She caught his eyes shifting nervously about, but knew he was too proud to admit to being afraid of being alone.
“Go ahead and go through the well. I’ll try to hurry.”
After she had made sure he was gone she jogged to the village.
By the time she ducked into the hut she was panting lightly. Heads came up as her friends looked at her expectantly.
“Was everything alright, Kagome?” asked Miroku cautiously.
They had all been fairly sure where Inuyasha was, and knew from experience that Kagome would not react well. Kagome sank to her knees to catch her breath. The return trip would be harder with the pack.
“Inuyasha and I are going back to my time for a few days. I’m not sure when we’ll be back.”
Miroku, Sango, Kaede and Shippo wore matching expressions of surprise. This was not how they were expecting her to respond.
“I take it you found Inuyasha, then? And things are okay between you?”
Kagome took a mouthful of water from the cup offered to her by Kaede before answering.
“We’re fine. Inuyasha just had a small problem, and he wants to get away from thinking about it for a few days.”
“Would this problem be my sister, by any chance?” asked Kaede shrewdly.
Kagome hesitated, and then nodded. “Yeah. It’s not my place to say anything. Please don’t mention it to Inuyasha either. It upset him a lot.”
She could tell they were dying of curiosity, but were going to respect Inuyasha’s privacy.
“Maybe this will be good for Inuyasha. He never takes a break. Be sure to tell him that we will miss him.”
“Thanks Miroku. I’d better be going, he’ll start to wonder where I am.”
Shippo came running to her out of the hut. He hopped up to her shoulder to whisper in her ear.
“Tell Inuyasha I don’t think he’s to big of a baka, alright?”
Kagome ginned. I’ll do that. I’ll also bring you back some chocolate, if you’ll be good.”
Shippo whooped with glee and ran back into the hut, leaving her to make her way back to the well.
She almost leapt out of her skin when she felt a hand grab her as she came out on the other side.
“Dammit, Inuyasha! You scared ten years off of my life!”
She immediately regretted her words when she saw him flatten his ears to his head.
She softened her voice to say, I’m sorry I snapped at you. I just didn’t expect you to be in here.”
His ears lifted a little. “I was waiting for you.”
“Want me to make you some ramen?” she asked as Inuyasha helped her out of the well and took her pack from her.
“No. I’m not hungry.”
This frightened Kagome. Inuyasha never turned down ramen. Never. To turn it down now meant that he had been more terribly affected than he was showing. She just hoped she would be able to help him get through it. The shock to his masculine pride would be great, and she knew just how fragile his pride was. As she lead him into the house and up to her room she noticed that he walked with heavy steps, without his usual grace, and that he stayed as close to her as possible. It warmed her heart that he trusted her enough to be vulnerable with, but she’d much rather have him as his normal confident self. With this one act Kikyo had destroyed the past few years of emotional growth Inuyasha had made. She was determined to help him rebuild it.
“Hey. I’m kind of tired, and I don’t feel like studying. Want to watch a movie with me?”
Inuyasha looked at her with a listless expression. “Sure. Whatever.”
Trekking back down to the living room Kagome decided what movie to watch. In his depressed state Inuyasha needed something uplifting, maybe something he could relate to. Smiling inwardly she opened the cabinet that contained the movies. She slipped Shrek into the DVD player and went to get comfortable. She was disappointed to see that Inuyasha had opted to sit on the floor, his back against the couch in his typical cross-legged pose. Getting an idea, she stretched out on the couch, lying with her head close to Inuyasha’s. This way there would be a small amount of physical contact, and also she could read his expressions.
As he got lost in the plot of the movie, his mood lightened. In a few places he laughed outright at Donkey’s antics, saying that he reminded him of a cross between Shippo and Miroku, and Kagome had to agree. While his spirits improved Kagome started softly running her fingers through his hair, gently scratching the scalp. At one point she got distracted and accidentally ran her nails along the base of his ear, and she held her breath, waiting for his reaction. She was happy when he only leaned further into her caresses, eyes never leaving the screen as he muttered, “Don’t forget the other one.”
So she gladly rubbed and scratched his ears, trying not to giggle at his occasional sighs of contentment.
When the movie ended she pulled away before he could get embarrassed. As she took out the movie and returned it to its case, she asked, “Did you like the movie? It’s one of my favorites, and one of the few that Souta will watch even though it has romance in it.”
Inuyasha gave a small smile. “It wasn’t half bad.”
“Why don’t I pop some popcorn and we can eat it while we watch the second one?”
“There’s another one? Sure. Popcorn sounds good too” his mood suddenly shifted to melancholy.
“You probably wanna go study for one of those test things. I’ll be fine down here.”
Kagome grinned at him mischievously as she went to the kitchen.
“I probably should study. Know what though? I’d much rather stay down here and watch the movie with you. Can you stand to have me?”
“Keh.”
“I’ll take that as a yes.”
Kagome carried the bowl of popcorn back into the living room and stuck in the movie. Sitting down on the couch, she patted the cushion beside her.
“Come here. It’ll be easier for both of us to reach.”
After only a small hesitation Inuyasha plopped down next to her. Kagome tucked her legs up to one side and leaned into Inuyasha, balancing the bowl between her knees and his thigh. Once the movie got off to a good start and about half the popcorn was eaten, both their hands went for the bowl at the same time. A surge of electricity went through them as their fingers brushed. Kagome felt like a deer caught in the headlights at this cliché, but couldn’t help enjoying it. Inuyasha didn’t seem to mind either, despite the blush on his face. Every time he reached in he made sure their fingers made contact, and seemed disappointed when they ran out of popcorn.
Kagome put the empty bowl on the end table, and taking her life in her hands she snuggled into Inuyasha’s side. Inuyasha shivered, and she was about to sit up when he put his arm around her. Smiling, she took his other hand and threaded his fingers through her own.
When the movie ended, Inuyasha risked a glance at Kagome, and couldn’t help the smile forming on his face when he saw that she was sound asleep. Gently he picked her up, hit the power on the TV. and DVD player, and carried her up to her room. He was just settling her into her bed when she opened her eyes and smiled up at him sleepily.
“Sorry I fell asleep. You were just so comfortable.”
“Keh. Go back to sleep.”
He was getting ready to make himself comfortable on the floor beside her bed when she stopped him.
“No. Get up here Inuyasha.”
His eyes about popped out of his skull, and when he looked at her laying on her bed, arms outstretched to him, his throat went dry.
“Are you crazy?! No way!”
At the hurt expression on her face he wished he could have put that better.
“Listen Inuyasha. I had a friend that went through a similar situation as you, and she had horrible nightmares. The only thing that made her feel better was sleeping in the same bed as her sister.”
Inuyasha crossed his arms in discomfort. “Yeah, well you’re not my sister. Besides, I ain’t no baby.” Kagome began to fiddle with the edge of her blanket, a light blush on her cheeks.
“If I tell you something, will you promise not to laugh?”
Inuyasha looked at her with interest. Any chance to get dirt on Kagome was worth taking.
“Alright.”
“Promise?”
He rolled his eyes in exasperation. “Promise”
Kagome took a deep breath. “Sometimes, when I get really upset, I sleep with my mom.”
Seeing him break into a grin she huffed, “You promised!”
Inuyasha bit his lip. “I’m not laughing!” ‘At least, not out loud.’
Kagome gave him her most stubborn look; a look he knew meant that she would be getting her way, no matter what.
“If you don’t get up here I’ll just sleep on the floor with you. You don’t want to see how cranky that will make me.”
Inuyasha heaved a sigh, knowing he was defeated.
“Anything not to have to hear you whine.”
He crawled into the bed and Kagome curled up to him.
“See? It’s not so bad.”
“Keh.”
It was dark. The trees were bare of leaves, and the wind howled eerily through them. He stumbled, alone, the ground cold beneath his feet. Up ahead, he thought he could make out the shape of a woman.
“Kagome? What’re you doing out here?”
Relief washed over him in waves, was evident in his tone of voice. If Kagome was here, then everything was sure to be all right. Putting out a hand to touch her shoulder, her recoiled as she turned to face him.
“You!”
It wasn’t Kagome after all, but Kikyo.
“Why do you call her name, Inuyasha? We both know it is me you want; it is me you were meant to be with.”
He tried to take a step back, but found he had been frozen in place. Bile rose in his throat as she moved closer, and he had trouble to keep himself from heaving his guts. (A.N. Personally I would. Nothing turns one off more than getting puked on. A perfect escape plan.)
“I will make you mine. She will never touch you after this. The very sight of you will make her ill.”
Her lips came closer to his, closer…closer…
He woke with a start, sweat pouring down his forehead. Glancing down, he found that sometime during the night he had wrapped his arms around Kagome, and her hands had fisted into his haori against his neck. Pulling her closer he buried his face in her hair, eyes squeezed shut, trying to erase the memory of the nightmare. As if in tune with his thoughts, one of Kagome’s hands began to stroke his cheek, and she mumbled, “Don’t worry, I’m here. Won’t let her take you from me now. Won’t let her have you.”
Finding she was still asleep, Inuyasha relaxed, thankful he wouldn’t have to face the embarrassment of being seen as frightened as a small pup. She was right though. Waking up alone would have been horrible. The comfort of her body and words made him feel safe, a thing he would have scoffed at earlier. Gratefully he wrapped himself around her and fell asleep. This time, he was untroubled by dreams.
Kagome woke up the next morning with the unaccustomed feeling of arms around her. Startled, she rolled over to see Inuyasha, who was sleeping soundly. She smiled, and lay there for a moment to enjoy it. ‘I could get used to waking up like this.’ She frowned. ‘Don’t go there Kagome. This was a one-time thing. As soon as Inuyasha’s back to normal, you can kiss the warm fuzzies goodbye. Carefully, she extracted herself from their mass of tangled limbs and slid out of bed. It was Tuesday, a school day, and Kagome decided she might as well go. Inuyasha would be fine here at the house; he could sleep, and had long ago mastered the TV. and how to make himself ramen. Creeping to her closet Kagome got out a fresh uniform, her school backpack, and silently tiptoed out of her room to get ready. Just as she was about to leave, she thought to leave a note telling Inuyasha where she was. Scribbling a few words, she left it propped on the bedside table, then made her way outside and off the shrine grounds, taking a shortcut to school.
The day went by slow as molasses in January. What with dodging her friends and making up illness’ to pacify the teachers, she was thrilled to hear the final bell ring. She had just managed to artfully avoid her girlfriends by sneaking around the corner of the block, when someone touched her shoulder.
“Eek!”
“Sorry, Higurashi! I thought you heard me call you.”
Kagome opened her eyes to find a contrite Hojo standing beside her, not the homicidal pervert she had feared. ‘This has got to stop happening. First Inuyasha, now Hojo.’ She quickly pasted on a smile. “Oh, it’s you! Sorry, I guess my mind was somewhere else.”
Hojo frowned. “You were pretty spaced out. Maybe I should walk you home to make sure nothing happens to you.”
‘Great. Just what I need; Hojo the Helpful meeting Inuyasha the Irritable. No. Fucking. Way.’
“No, no! I’ll be fine! Gotta run!”
Kagome took off with a speed that would make an Olympic gold medallist green with envy before Hojo could get another word out.
She didn’t stop until she reached her house, slumping against the locked door in relief. Something felt off, though. Perking her ears for Inuyasha related noise; she was met by only silence. Living room? No Inuyasha. Kitchen? No Inuyasha. He hadn’t been outside, so that left her room, unless he had gone through the well, which she didn’t consider very likely. Curiously, Kagome went upstairs and quietly stuck her head in her room, not wanting to disturb him if he was sleeping. She almost missed him, but then noticed the suspicious lump at the head of her bed.
“Inuyasha?”
Slowly, Inuyasha sat up and looked at her from under the edge of the blanket. Kagome went up to him, almost afraid of the nearly vacant look in his eyes. He looked so pitiful, huddled up in that blanket like a cowering animal.
“Inuyasha, why are you sitting like that?”
He seemed to focus more as he answered in a voice only a notch above a whisper.
“C-cold.”
Guilt consumed her. She should have thought about the possibility of delayed shock. She had known a girl from school who had gone through her mother’s funeral just fine, then totally broke down the next day. Kagome reached out, giving him enough time, so as not to startle him. As she made contact, he stared at her mournfully.
“Why did you leave? You promised you wouldn’t.”
Kagome began to cry as she crawled into the blanket with him, embracing him tightly.
“Inuyasha, I’m so, so sorry! You seemed fine last night, so I went to school. Didn’t you see my note?”
Inuyasha pulled her into his lap, and she started to stroke his ears in a comforting manner.
“Didn’t see nothin’. I woke up, and you were gone.”
Kagome nuzzled her face into his neck.
“I feel horrible. Is there anything I can do to make it better?”
“Just stay here.”
He began to rub her back, up and down, then in small circles.
“It feels so different.”
“What does?”
“Your touch. It’s way different than hers.”
Kagome stiffened, pulling back her hands till Inuyasha squeezed her.
“Don’t stop. It feels good. That’s what I meant by different. I didn’t like it when she touched me, it made me uncomfortable.’
He paused to rub his cheek against hers.
“When you touch me, I don’t want you to stop. I wanna touch you back.”
She moaned at his words, and felt a familiar tightening in her lower stomach.
“You can touch me as much as you want.”
Kagome pressed her cheek back into his as she bought one hand down to his shoulder. Inuyasha shifted his head, causing their lips to brush together. Kagome put more pressure into it before jerking away abruptly.
“I’m sorry! Damn, I’m o better than Kikyo, forcing you to–“
“I told you, you make me wanna…”
Instead of finishing his sentence Inuyasha went in for another kiss, and this time Kagome melted into it. Bravely, she nibbled on his lips, alternating with swipes of her tongue. Inuyasha dropped one hand to her thigh, rubbing it, as he had been her back. The kisses became deeper, hungrier, before they had to pull back for air.
“It’s getting hot in here.” Murmured Inuyasha as he shoved off the blanket. Kagome buried her face in his chest to hide her blush.
“Sorry. I’ll stop.”
“Do you want to?”
“…No…”
“Neither do I. so stop with the fuckin sorrys. Makes me feel bad.”
He grabbed her by the waist and lifted her so that when he sat her back down she was straddling his thighs. He pressed her to him to make sure she felt how much she was affecting him.
“Dammit, you make me hard.”
Inuyasha slid his hands up her skirt, giving each cheek a squeeze as he laid his head against her collarbone. Kagome started to grind into him, enjoying the feel of his hardness between her legs. Inuyasha rolled them over to where he was on top, without breaking the contact between them.
“Kagome, I gotta get you naked. I need to touch more of you.”
“Go ahead,” she gasped, thrusting her hips harder into his. “I want you to.”
Almost frantically, he tugged off her shirt and bra, discarding his own top half of clothes as well. A feral grin spread across his face as he gazed at her naked breasts.
“Damn. They look even better close up…”
So you have watched me bathe!” Kagome said with a playful scowl.
“Every chance I got.” He answered unabashedly, stroking her soft flesh with the tips of his claws.
Kagome moaned and dragged him down for a kiss. His tongue stroked hers enthusiastically as his hand wandered down her hip, sliding to the inside of her thigh. He was only mildly surprised when she took his hand and brought it up under her skirt, where she proceeded to rub it against her panties so he could feel how wet for him she was.
“Shit, girl!” he growled. “Are you always this wet?”
“Only for you.” She moaned, as she shifted her hips to thrust harder against his hand.
Inuyasha spread her legs apart and leaned forward to inhale her scent. He had to bite his cheek to keep from taking her right then. However, he had spent too many nights dreaming of this moment, and he’d be damned if he was going to rush things now that his dreams were coming true. So instead of diving face first between her legs the way he wanted to, he began to slowly stroke her thighs with his claws, coming closer but never quite touching where she most desperately wanted him. After a few moments of enjoying her reactions, he proceeded to lean forward and nibble her delicate flesh, playfully following the path of his claws. Meanwhile, Kagome had become impatient with his teasing, and began to tug him forward by the hair she had fisted in her hands. Inuyasha chuckled, causing fresh tremors of pleasure shoot through her body at the vibrations. In an effort to placate her demands, and to satisfy his own growing need, he pressed his face into her crotch. He started by nuzzling first with his nose, then increasing the pressure with gentle bites.
“O kami, Inuyasha! Harder!”
Her cries and the little whimpering noises she was making were driving him mad. With a suddenness that surprised his lover he sliced through her panties, leaving her clad only in her skirt.
“I wanna taste your cum, bitch, and I wanna hear you scream.” His voice was low and husky, with a darkness usually associated with his demonic transformation. Indeed, his eyes were tinged with red, as Kagome vaguely noticed in her lust induced haze. Instead of being frightened, she found herself even more aroused by his animal passion. With a quick shimmy, she was out of her skirt, lying nude before his devouring gaze. With one hand, she spread her folds, and the other she brought up to her face, her fingers forming a V. she gave her hanyou a wink as she explicitly flicked her tongue between her fingers.
“Eat me.”
That was enough to send him over the edge. With a sound that was part growl, he was between her legs, furiously licking and sucking. He watched her eyes roll back in ecstasy as his tongue entered her to work its wicked magic. Remembering an earlier reaction, he took her clit his mouth and growled, causing Kagome to buck as if she were riding a mechanical bull. He was almost sorry when her orgasm hit, a thought that faded as her juices poured into his mouth almost faster than he could swallow. Thick and tangy, he wanted to burn the taste of her into his mind.
As Kagome gently floated in post-orgasmic bliss, Inuyasha gently cleaned her with his tongue, and then slid up to lay beside her. He stroked her hair for a few moments, then asked,
“Was that good?”
Kagome grinned up at him. “It was wonderful, but we’re not done yet.” She glanced down at his stiff cock, which she knew had to be uncomfortable to say the least. He gazed down at her seriously.
“Are you sure? It would be permanent…”
Kagome softly stroked his cheek as she maneuvered him on top of her.
“If I wasn’t sure, I wouldn’t be here. And as for permanent, that’s the only way I’d have it.”
Seeing a lingering hint of uncertainty, she kissed him gently on the lips.
“I love you Inuyasha. I want this. I want us.”
The sureness of her answer made him bury his face in her neck, so overcome as he was with emotion. This was not pity. This was not a woman who was resigned to be with him as her only, though sub-standard option. Pity and resignation did not smell like this, this mixture of want and love so strong it was intoxicating. Inuyasha sat back up and smiled at her, a smile only a man in love can smile.
“Then I’m gonna make you mine.”
Inuyasha lowered himself over her, kicking away his pants, which had slid to his ankles. He rubbed himself against her a few times until he was sure she was aroused, and then slid into her with a quick thrust. At Kagome’s cry of pain he froze.
“Do you want me to stop? “ he asked worriedly, not sure that he could stop, not after feeling how gloriously tight and wet she was around him.
“No..” she panted, a hint of strain in her voice.
“Just start slowly.”
Moving in and out at a pace he thought would kill him, Inuyasha was alert for any sign of further discomfort. However, after a few agonizing thrusts Kagome started to meet his movements and moan in pleasure. Still, he kept his original pace until he heard her whisper breathily into his ear,
“Faster please, and harder.”
Eagerly complying, he sped gradually sped up, until they were pounding into each other, their cries muffled by the others mouth. In a sudden blinding flash, they were over the edge, howling the name of their partner to the heavens. As Inuyasha came down from the dizzying heights, he rolled them over onto their sides to be more comfortable.
Kagome sighed as Inuyasha nuzzled her neck and lazily stroked her stomach.
“Inuyasha?”
“Hmmm?”
“Can we stay here a few more days?”
“I guess so.”
“Thanks.”
“What will you give me for being so generous?”
But his lecherous intent was lost on Kagome, who was already fast asleep. Oh well. There was always the next day. And the next…and the next…
It was dark. The trees were bare of leaves, and the wind howled eerily through them. He stumbled, alone, the ground cold beneath his feet. Suddenly, a hand was on his shoulder. Inuyasha turned with bitter dread and revulsion, which was quickly replaced by confusion.
“Kagome?”
“What are you doing here, Inuyasha? The rest of us are waiting!”
Over her shoulder, the mist parted, and he could see the sun shining down on his friends. He looked down at the girl who had taken his hand.
“What are you doing out here Kagome?”
“I came to find you, baka, and bring you back to where you belong!”
He allowed him to lead her into the light, where he was surrounded. Shippo. Miroku. Sango. And smiling at him like the rest of them, and still holding his hand, Kagome.
Staring at her intently, he asked, “Where do I belong?”
“Right here with me!”
In his sleep, Inuyasha smiled.
