As Sesshomaru drove them home to Azabujuban Towers Inuyasha listened to the quiet breathing of his wife as she slept with her head on his shoulder. He held onto her hand and rubbed the back of it soothingly. He kissed the top of her head and looked out the window.

The more Inuyasha thought about the accident the more enraged he became. He was furious with Kikyo and couldn’t help but hate her more and more.

‘I’m glad Sesshomaru stopped me from going to see that bitch in the hospital. I seriously would have killed her right in her hospital bed,’ Inuyasha thought.

As Sesshomaru continued to drive he looked into the rearview mirror and saw the scowl on his brother’s face. He knew exactly what Inuyasha was thinking. He turned his focus back to the road and kept driving.

It took them about forty-five minutes to get from the New Tokyo General Hospital to Inuyasha and Kagome’s penthouse. Kagome and Inuyasha lived in the Azabujuban Towers. It was a rich area and Kagome had fallen in love with the location years ago.

When Sesshomaru pulled up in front of the tall building he saw that Miroku and Sango were pulling up right behind him in Inuyasha’s red Porsche.
Realizing that they were home Inuyasha reached out and gently shook Kagome to wake her up.
Kagome began to stir slightly. She buried her face into Inuyasha’s neck and mumbled, “Just five more minutes, koshii.”

Inuyasha just smiled. As she kept her head on his shoulder he whispered into her hair, “Koi, wake up. We’re home. Come on and let’s get upstairs so that you can rest.”
Kagome gradually began to wake up. Sitting up, she rubbed her eyes and looked at Inuyasha. She offered him a smile.
“Finally,” she said relieved.
Inuyasha unbuckled Kagome’s seatbelt and then got out of the SUV. He walked around to her side so that he could help her out. There were a few reporters and paparazzi outside, but nothing like the madness at the hospital. They shouted their questions and snapped their pictures. Inuyasha and Kagome completely ignored them.

While Inuyasha helped Kagome out of the SUV Sesshomaru said, “Miroku and I will park the cars and be upstairs shortly.”
“That’s fine. We’ll meet you upstairs,” Inuyasha told him.

“I’m going with you, Inuyasha,” Rin announced and got out of the car.
Inuyasha just nodded as he put his arm around Kagome’s waist. He took her hand and held it as he started to lead her up to the penthouse.

“Wait for me!” Sango called out and got out of the Porsche leaving Miroku behind.

Sango caught up with them as they gradually made their way to the entrance of Azabujuban Towers.

Kagome loved Azabujuban Towers because the thirty-six story ultra high rise had an earth stone exterior color scheme. It created a sense of mansion living without the upkeep. The building was surrounded by a large landscape touched with water and greenery. When you first enter the building you enter the “Healing Forest” and that’s exactly where they were headed. This place always gave her a sense of peace from her hectic life.

They made their way into the lobby where the security and concierge desk was.
As the group approached the concierge’s desk a middle aged man looked up to see them coming. He stood up, bowed, and smiled. “Welcome back Mrs. Tsurubuchi. How are you feeling?” he asked.“Fine. Thank you for asking, Daisuke,” Kagome answered with a smile.Watanabe, Daisuke was the concierge here at Azabujuban Towers ever since Kagome and Inuyasha moved here.

“I have your letters and messages for you Mister Tsurubuchi. Would you like me to send them up to you?” Daisuke wondered.

“No. I’ll take them with me,” Inuyasha replied. “Oh… My brother Sesshomaru and friend Miroku will be coming up behind us. They’re parking the cars and have their elevator keys with them. We also have an order from Kichijoji’s coming. It should be here shortly. Please call me when the food gets here.”

“Sure thing Mister Tsurubuchi. I will keep an eye out for them.”

“Thank you Daisuke. I appreciate that.”

As Inuyasha was about to let go of Kagome to reach for his letters and messages Sango stopped him and said, “I’ll get them.”
Daisuke smiled at Sango as he handed over the letters and messages to her.

“Thanks Sango,” Inuyasha said smiling back at her. He and the three women then continued on to the elevators.

They made their way slowly to the elevators with Sango trailing behind. Rin pushed the call button. While they were waiting for the one elevator that led to Inuyasha and Kagome’s penthouse Sango caught up with them. She reached them just as the elevator doors opened.When the elevator came they all got on. Inuyasha put his elevator key in and pushed the button for the top floor.
Kagome sighed and leaned against Inuyasha. She put her head on his shoulder. He smiled and kissed the top of her head.

“I’m so glad to be home. I couldn’t take one more sponge bath and don’t get me started on the hospital food,” Kagome commented.

Inuyasha, Rin and Sango started to laugh.
“Is that all you think about these days? Food?” Rin questioned.
“No. I think about other things besides food,” Kagome replied eyeing Inuyasha.Sango must have missed the look Kagome sent Inuyasha’s way because she asked, “Like what?”
Kagome blushed and continued to stare at her husband.

Both Rin and Sango looked at Inuyasha. “Oh… So that’s what you’re thinking about,” Sango said.
Kagome winked at the two women. Rin and Sango began to laugh.
Still laughing, Rin noticed that Inuyasha was blushing. “Oh, look! I’ve never seen Inuyasha blush that shade of red before! Have you Sango?”
Sango looked over at Inuyasha. “I’ve never seen him blush period.” She started to giggle like a school girl. Inuyasha rolled his eyes and sighed. “Oh for the love of Kami. How long does this elevator take to get to the thirty-sixth floor?” he wondered aloud.

“Guys, don’t pick on my baby. I love it when I can make him blush,” Kagome told them as she gave Inuyasha a small kiss on the lips.

Just as Inuyasha was about to respond to Kagome’s kiss the elevator doors opened on their floor revealing the inside of their penthouse. The way it was set up was that the elevator was the front door to their place.

Inuyasha removed his key from the elevator floor lock and proceeded to guide Kagome into the penthouse. Rin and Sango were right behind them. They stepped into the foyer. It was decorated with various smaller plants and a small waterfall which Kagome loved. The walls were painted an earth tone color. It was almost the same shade as the lobby.

As they walked into the foyer followed by Rin and Sango Inuyasha helped Kagome take her coat off and asked, “How are you feeling? Do you want to lie down? Is there anything I can get you?”
“I’m fine. I think I’d like to go to the kitchen with Rin and Sango when the food arrives.”
“Kagome, please lay down. I know you’re tired.”

“Inuyasha, I’ve been laying down for three whole days. I need to move around a little. I’ll be fine.”

Inuyasha was getting frustrated with his stubborn wife. ‘Doesn’t she know that she needs her rest? Doesn’t she know that she shouldn’t push herself?’ he wondered to himself.

Rin and Sango were standing in the foyer watching the exchange between Inuyasha and Kagome.
Kagome sighed. “Guys, can you excuse us for a minute, please?”
They both nodded as Rin said, “We’ll be in the kitchen.”

Rin and Sango headed into the kitchen. Once they were gone Kagome took a few steps towards Inuyasha and put her arms around his waist. She rested her head on his chest. He put his arms around her and held her close.

Inuyasha sighed and placed his chin on the top of her head. He ran her fingers through her hair as he said, “I’m worried about you koi. You’ve been through a lot these past few days. I just want you to take it easy.”
Kagome looked up at Inuyasha and smiled. “Koibito, I’m fine. Really. And I promise I will take it easy. I have an idea. Why don’t you start a fire in the fireplace and we can all eat in the living room and enjoy a beautiful February day. I mean look at this view.”

Inuyasha looked out the large windows that covered the entire left side of the room. It gave the penthouse a lot of light no matter what the season was. He could see the park across from them easily. Inuyasha had to agree that it was a beautiful day. Not because of the weather, but because he had Kagome back in his arms again.

He looked back down at Kagome and said, “Kiss me.”
Kagome smiled and reached up with both of her hands to grab his black forelocks. She pulled him down to her and kissed her husband.

Inuyasha plunged his tongue into her mouth to taste all of her. All Kagome could do was moan.

Just then the elevator doors opened revealing Sesshomaru and Miroku. Laughing at what they had walked in on Miroku lifted the bag in his hand and said, “The food is here.”

Inuyasha ignored him and kissed Kagome again. When he was done he looked over at Sesshomaru who was giving him a look.

“Don’t start with me, Sesshomaru. I’m in my own home and I will kiss my wife all day long if I want to. I don’t care if we have company over or not.”

“Just keep it at a G rating,” Sesshomaru begged.Inuyasha grabbed Kagome possessively. “My place, my rules.”

Playfully swatting Inuyasha’s chest and looking at Sesshomaru Kagome said, “Okay you two. Cut it out and let’s eat. Come on, Miroku. Let’s go into the kitchen with the girls and eat. These two can fight it out in the foyer if they want.”

Miroku laughed and followed Kagome into the living room. He loved this room. It had Kagome’s touch. The walls were white in color and there was a fireplace in the center of the main wall. The furniture was also white and modern. The coffee table was completely made of glass and so clean and perfect that not a streak showed. There was a large abstract art painting over the fireplace, which at this moment wasn’t lit. The floor was a dark colored hardwood with a carpet under the couch, chairs and table in front of the fireplace. The fireplace was black with a white boarder. It was a gas fireplace. To the left was a large spiral staircase that led upstairs. The penthouse was two floors. The wall by the staircase was adorned with pictures of Kagome, Inuyasha and all their friends in various parts of the world from Kagome’s tours and travels.

Inuyasha ran to catch up with Kagome and help her walk into the kitchen. Sesshomaru followed after them.

They walked into the spacious kitchen. The counter ran from one wall to the other as did the cabinets above. The counter, cabinets and table were all white. The furniture was modern in here too. There were fancy lights on the ceiling that could be adjusted to point in different directions. Like the living room the floor was hardwood. The only difference was the wood was a lighter color than in the living room. There was a picture on a wall between a window and a door that led out onto a terrace with some chairs and a table. This room was painted white as well.

Rin and Sango were sitting at the kitchen table talking when Sesshomaru, Miroku and Inuyasha came in with a waddling Kagome. The girls had already taken it upon themselves to set the table. Soon everyone was sitting down and passing around the food.

Dinner was fun for Kagome. She got to eat everything except for the curry rice. This was where Inuyasha put his foot down. He even said no when Kagome started to pout and give her infamous puppy look that had yet to fail on her husband. Yet fail it did. They sat there and talked about the babies and how they were going to surprise Inuyasha in the ninth month with the news that they were expecting twins. Of course that was now a bust, but no one seemed to really care. They even talked about their college days, leaving out Kikyo of course. The college and family talk went well into the evening.

“Okay you guys. It’s time to go. Kagome needs her rest,” Rin said.

Kagome gave a tired smile and nodded.

“Don’t worry about the dishes and all. I’ll clean everything up later,” Inuyasha told them.

Everyone stood and got ready to leave. Inuyasha helped Kagome to stand. Soon they were walking everyone to the foyer where they all got their coats.
Rin and Sango hugged Inuyasha and kissed Kagome goodnight. Miroku kissed Kagome too and patted Inuyasha on the back. Then it was Sesshomaru’s turn to give Kagome his own kiss. He gave her a peck on the cheek and said, “Goodnight little sister. I’m glad you’re home and okay.” He turned to Inuyasha and told him, “Miroku and I will be here in the morning around nine to discuss your work schedule. You will not be coming back until after the twins are born. Am I correct?”
“Yeah, that’s right. We’ll discuss it tomorrow though.”

Sesshomaru turned around and got on the elevator with the others.
“Drive safely you guys!” Kagome said brightly as she waved goodbye.Inuyasha sighed as the elevator doors closed. Turning to Kagome he smiled and pulled her into his arms. “Now I have you all to myself with no interruptions from doctors or family.”

“I know what you mean,” Kagome agreed as she leaned up and kissed him. When they broke the kiss Kagome whispered against his lips, “Mmm… You promised me a nice warm soak in the tub.”
“Come on. I’ll get it started and we can both take a nice long soak.”

“That, my dear husband, sounds like a plan.”

Inuyasha led Kagome into their bedroom. The walls were a rich wine red. One of the walls had some black stones on it. The furniture was all black and modern too. It stretched across and around the whole room. There was even a desk with a chair. The window was a large picture window with a stunning view. The floor was hardwood and the bed was in the center of the room. The comforter was white and the pillows were white and tan colored.

Inuyasha bypassed the bedroom leaving Kagome behind and headed for the bathroom which was adjacent to it. Inuyasha readied the tub and made sure that the water wasn’t too hot before adding Kagome’s bath salts. The tub was large, round and white. It was built into a ledge. There were huge windows all around it with an amazing view of Tokyo.

He made his way back to the bedroom to check on Kagome. She was sitting on the bed putting her hair into a messy bun. She had taken out night clothes for the both of them. That consisted of her wearing one of Inuyasha’s old shirts and him just wearing his boxers.

“Are you ready, koi?” he asked removing his shirt and pants.

“Yes,” Kagome replied as she removed the scrubs she was wearing until she was standing there in only her bra and panties. Inuyasha took Kagome’s hand and led her to the bathroom. He helped her remove her panties and bra before he took off his boxers. Inuyasha stepped into the tub first so that he could help Kagome in. He took her hand and assisted her so that she wouldn’t slip. Once she was safely in the tub they sat down together with Kagome in front of him.

Kagome settled into the water. She snuggled into Inuyasha’s arms and sighed contentedly. The tub was completely round so they were able to easily face each other and still hold onto each other.

They sat together quietly for a minute just holding each other. Finally Kagome said, “You know what I’ve been wanting all day?”

Inuyasha raised an eyebrow. “What’s that?”

Kagome looked up at him and smiled. She pressed her lips to his. Inuyasha responded in kind.. Kagome parted her lips so that he could have a taste of her. Her hands ran up and down his chest. He eventually pulled away from her and started to kiss down her neck. One of his hands cupped her breast softly. She moaned and gripped his shoulders.

“Mmm…” she moaned. “You take hints well.”

Inuyasha chuckled a little. He kissed her shoulder as his hand left her breast and trailed down her stomach. He rubbed her swollen belly in circles for minute. He seemed reluctant to do anything more because he didn’t go any further than that.

“Inuyasha?”
“Hmm?”

She brought her lips to his ear and whispered, “Lower.”

He pulled away from her neck and shoulder to look at her. “Are you sure? I mean you just got out of the hospital.”

“I don’t think I’m up for too much, but I can handle some fondling.” She frowned a little. “Unless you don’t want to because I’m fat.”
“You are NOT fat. I always want you.” Inuyasha shifted her in his lap so that she could feel his erection. “Does that feel like I’m not attracted to you?”

“No,” she admitted.

“Well then?”

Kagome grabbed his hair and pulled him in for another kiss. His hand was still on her stomach. He trailed it further south until he was rubbing her folds. She moaned into his mouth for a second before pulling away and throwing her head back.
Inuyasha took the opportunity of her baring her throat to start kissing it again. He rubbed her clit gently causing her hips to buck slightly against him. Kagome was surprised when she heard him whimper. She felt something wet land on her shoulder. She was so stunned that she couldn’t speak for a minute. Was he… Was he crying?

She began to stroke his hair as she said, “Inuyasha?”

He grabbed onto her tightly as if afraid to let her go.

“Inuyasha? What’s wrong?”

He pulled away from her shoulder to look at her. She realized she was right. He was crying!

Kagome cupped his cheek. He took her hand and kissed her palm as tears continued to leak from his eyes.

“Why are you crying?” she asked.

“I… I thought I’d lost you. When I heard you were in an accident my whole world came to an end. I just don’t know how I could go on without you.”

“Don’t cry Inu-Koi. We’re okay. We’re home and safe in your arms.”

“I love you so much and so deeply Kagome. I can’t lose you. Not now, not ever.”
“I love you too Inuyasha. Please don’t cry.” She looked behind him out the window. “Look out the window at this beautiful view we have. That always cheers me up.”

Inuyasha looked behind himself and out the windows. The sky was a dark blue and the Tokyo skyline was lit up. Tokyo tower was the most obvious building. It stood tall in the center of the view with gold and orange lights around the base and peek. It was sort of in the shape of the Eifel Tower. In the distance he could barely make out Mount Fiji. Normally it was easier to see, but it was dark out making it more difficult to gaze at. However, it could be seen if you looked closely enough.

“Isn’t it beautiful, Inuyasha?” Kagome asked.

Inuyasha’s tears were drying up. He wiped his eyes and looked back over at her. “Not as beautiful as you are.” Inuyasha took her hand and realized that her fingers were wrinkling from being in the water too long. He raised his eyes to hers and said, “I think it’s about time we got out.”

“Let me just bathe and we can get out.”

“Okay.”
Kagome grabbed her body wash and shower puff. She quickly bathed herself. Since Inuyasha had taken a shower this morning he didn’t bother. When she was done Inuyasha helped her rinse off the soap.

As soon as she was ready Inuyasha stood up and grabbed a towel. He wrapped it around his waist and got out of the tub first so that he could help Kagome out. She stepped out with his assistance. He proceeded to dry her off with her own towel. Once she was dry he handed her his shirt to put on. When she was done he helped her to the bedroom so that she could lay down.

“Remember what the doctor said. He told you to lie on your side,” Inuyasha reminded her as he put on his boxers.
Kagome nodded and turned on to her right side.

“I’m going to clean the kitchen and bathroom. I won’t be long. Just get some sleep,” he told her.

“Okay.” She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again. “Oh, I almost forgot. Could you bring me a glass of water when you come back?”

“Sure.”
He bent down to give her a quick kiss. He then moved down and kissed her swollen abdomen.
“Good night you two,” he whispered to her stomach.

As Inuyasha left the bedroom he dimmed the lights. He made his way into the kitchen and cleaned it. When he had only the dishes left he loaded them into the dishwasher and turned it on. He then got a glass from one of the cabinets and filled it with water for Kagome. He also picked up the letters and messages that Sango had left on the counter.

Heading to the bedroom with the letters he stopped off in the den and put the messages on his desk. The den was converted into an office.
‘I’ll look at these tomorrow,’ he thought.Going into the bedroom he found Kagome asleep. Inuyasha placed the water on her night table and lightly kissed the top of her head.

Inuyasha made his way to the bathroom and started to clean it. As soon as he was done he shut the light and went back to the bedroom. He shut the bedroom light as well and climbed into bed with his wife. He took her into his arms and rubbed her belly.
As he slowly drifted off to sleep he thought about one thing. He considered the best way to get back at Kikyo for what she’d done to Kagome and the others.
