InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Void ❯ This is Insane! ( Chapter 9 )

A/N: Hey everyone... sorry it’s taken me so long to get this up! I’ve been really distracted lately with some of my other stories and non-fic related things so...

Anyway, hopefully this chapter will provide you with a bit of entertainment until I can think of something better... maybe next chapter I’ll get Naraku or Midoriko in there or something... ^_^

-Tryst/Punishment of the Inu - Oh crap! I forgot that they did that here! Oh, gomen, I’m a real idiot for asking you to put it up neh? Yeesh. Lol, anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed it all (I’m still not to happy that my mind wanted to put some sort of prophecy in here, but it, as usual, isn’t listening to me) so... And yep, Yasha means female demon. I might have to avoid using the term in future chapters though, it seems to cause confusion amongst the readers... ^_^ Whose getting pregnant? Well Inu of course! I have yet to actually write a story where I put Inu on top I think, let alone one where Sess is on the bottom. I don’t think I’m ready to wrap my head around the idea of Sesshomaru getting pregnant... Yeah, Inuyasha is fond of his own mother... and she probably loves him too... I don’t actually know how Midoriko feels at the moment... Maybe I’ll write about that in one of the upcoming chapters, neh? ^_^ I don’t actually think Naraku was ever nice though... well, maybe when he was a little kid, but I don’t think that’s what you mean... Anyway, hopefully I’ll get all that covered throughout the course of the fic! ^_^

-Passing Reader - Lol, well actually Yasha isn’t a name. It’s a real word in Japanese that means Female demon. Well, that’s one of it’s meanings anyway. So when Izayoi called Inuyasha “Hanyou” He was essentially just returning the statement, only after changing it to fit her. And I did take a look at that picture (it’s very well done! ^_^) but I don’t believe that Meinu is Sesshomaru’s mother’s actual name. I don’t believe that they’ve released that information yet, so everybody’s essentially guessing here... except me. I’m not guessing who his mother is. I’m taking someone else’s mother and making them his mother. ^_^ Izayoi is, in the anime/manga, Inuyasha’s human mother. In this story though, I took her, made her a demon, and made her Sesshomaru’s mother. That’s all. And I don’t mind at all. I think my rants are probably incredibly long as well, so if you can put up with them, then I can put up with that! ^_^ Besides, I’m the author, I should answer any questions you may have about the story. Who else is gonna do it? ^_^   ~*~   This is Insane!

Inuyasha inwardly cringed as he tried desperately to keep his brain from exploding.

Why?

Why, why, why, why did he have to endure this torture?

Not only did the woman before him reek of that same inu stench as Sesshomaru, but she also seemed to be a complete and total nutcase!

‘So’ He said slowly, running a hand through his hair and glancing agitatedly around the room. ‘Basically what you’re saying is Sesshomaru captured me because I had Tetsusaiga, and you brought me up here because some old crone told you that I may be your son’s mate?’

Izayoi frowned, then nodded slowly.

‘Well, when you put anything like that is sounds bad!’ She thought, trying to keep her own agitation from rising up as the hanyou stared blankly at her for several moments, before nodding.

‘Right. And you wanna tell me exactly when it was you lost your mind, or have you always been like this?’

Izayoi’s forehead creased slightly.

‘You do not believe in seers then?’ She asked.

Inuyasha snorted.

‘I don’t believe in anything.’ He said darkly. ‘And even if I did, a seer wouldn’t be on that list. There’s nothing in them to believe. Their just like whores, only they sell cheap stories instead of their bodies.’

Izayoi’s eyes widened slightly, and for several moments she was rendered speechless.

Then her senses returned, and she stiffened slightly, her eyes darkening a shade as she stared at the hanyou.

Even demons had their breaking points after all, and this boy was very quickly coming close to reaching her own.

‘You seem to have a way with words.’ She said, her tone going slightly dry and icy.

Inuyasha’s eyebrows rose slightly and his ears flicked at the change in her voice, before he narrowed his eyes and threw a scathing look at her.

‘Oh please!’ He said. ‘Don’t pull that “I am greater than thou” crap. I’ve killed demons for much less than that. You’re not fooling anybody!’ He narrowed his eyes even further. ‘I don’t know what sort of psychotic break you had in your life, but you should get it through your head right now that no matter what you do, you’re not going to effect me the way you want to. I’m never gonna be whatever it is you think I am, I’m never gonna tell you what you want to know, and I most certainly am not going to mate with your son!’

Izayoi stared at Inuyasha, her silver eyes darkened and unreadable as she entertained the notion of getting angry for several long minutes, before grudgingly deciding against it, and instead just shook her head softly.

‘You may try, Inuyasha. But you will not be able to fight your youki forever.’ She looked over at the window. ‘And neither will Sesshomaru.’ She looked back at him. ‘This is bigger than what some seer says. I do not believe they are all accurate, or even if you are the right hanyou she spoke of. However, I do know that you are the first creature, demon, human or otherwise, that has intruiged and caught the interest of my son in several centuries.’ She got up and moved slowly toward the door, pausing a moment to look back. ‘Eventually you two will have to give in.’

Inuyasha glared at the woman as she slowly exited the room, sliding the door softly shut behind her, before sighing and rolling onto his side, his arms coming to wrap around himself.

This was insane!

Every last bit of it!

For fucks sake, he was the hanyou son of a perverted bastard and a fallen priestess! He was born to fight and nothing else! That’s all he was there for! To fight and slake the strange desires of his asshole father! There was no way in all of hell he was meant to be the mate of a demon like Sesshomaru.

Sighing again, Inuyasha closed his eyes and buried his head into the pillow.

Never before in all his life had he ever wished to be home as much as he did right now...

At least there things weren’t as complicated...

At least there he had some sense of what to expect... ~*~
