~~Chapter 11: New York Princess~~
“Welcome to the Crowne Plaza,” A short chubby man smiled widely at InuYasha and Kagome. “Do you have reservations?”
InuYasha cleared his throat before nodded. “Morikami, InuYasha.”
The man gasped. “Oh yes! Of course! Right here, you have suite 115.”
He handed InuYasha two credit card like keys. He grabbed them and Kagome yawned besides him. “Come on.” He muttered, grabbing her hand and going towards the elevator.
He dragged a half- asleep Kagome in to their room and she dropped her bag on the floor. Their suitcases were already there. Kagome blinked and looked around. “Oh wow, this is really pretty.”
The living room was wide, with a video game system. The television sat in the wooden shelf and beside it the video game system, complete with games behind the built in glass shelf. The table was by the living room, complete with a vase filled with fresh flowers. White curtains with red sashes on them held on the very large windows that out looked Times Square. Very delicate white see through fabric was covering the view from them. Kagome walked over, moved the see though curtain aside and gasped.
Times Square was even more beautiful, especially at night. “Wow.” She gasped out. No wonder New York City was called the city that never slept. Cars honked down below, the neon lights from all the places blinked as she looked around.
“I'm glad you like it.” He kissed her cheek. Walking in to the mini kitchen, it wasn't so `mini'. It had a refrigerator, a microwave, no stove, but it did have a coffee making machine. It also had a mini bar on the counter top. Kagome chuckled.
“InuYasha, there's only one room.”
“Huh? Oh, one room, two beds.”
Kagome pushed open the door of the bedroom. She looked around only to find a tiny chocolate on the pillow. “Oh, look, chocolate. How cute.” She carefully unwrapped it and popped in her mouth. InuYasha flopped down on the bed and kicked off his shoes.
The white comforter sunk against InuYasha's weight. He placed his hands behind his neck and looked up at the ceiling. The bedroom had a television also. She opened the walk in closet, designed for two people. “Looks like it could be a bedroom.” She commented. InuYasha grunted in response.
The bathroom didn't get left far behind, located in the hallways. She walked in and saw the very fancy tiles around the bathroom. A mirror hung over the sink and by the corner was a bathroom bureau, with a magnifying make up mirror. Her eyes widened. The shower had a clear glass door with a golden decoration stripes going horizontally on the middle.
“We should go to bed. I'm fucking tired.” InuYasha stretched as he walked in to the bathroom. She nodded and left the bathroom, leaving InuYasha to his business.
`Whoa, what a place. I didn't think we'd be staying in a palace!'
`Yeah, we can look around tomorrow. Right now, put us to sleep will you?'
Kagome nodded in approval, going in the bedroom to change while InuYasha was in the bathroom.

“I thought you had business here.” Kagome raised her eye brow pointedly when InuYasha shrugged.
“I do. But that can wait. We can do that the last day we're here. Today, though, you're going to have a good time.”
“Oh really?” Kagome giggled as she put on her shoes, making sure her jeans flowed over them. InuYasha looked up at her from his seat on his bed.
“Yeah. Not like I'm in a hurry to go to the company anyway.” He grinned, golden eyes lighting up with his determination.
Kagome straightened the red long sleeve shirt she had bought over a month ago and sighed. “Okay then. I'm ready.”
“Feh!”
He fixed his jeans and watched as Kagome grabbed a little wallet and stuffed it in her back pocket. He smoothed out his white tee-shirt and nodded once. “Let's go.”
After having breakfast delivered for them by the bellhop, they played the video games the hotel provided. They had basically relaxed all day and when it was getting dark, InuYasha announced that they were going out. Not that Kagome minded. He held her hand as they made their way out of the elevator and in to the lobby. The chubby man waved at them when they left the hotel.
“So, where are you taking me?”
He looked up at the growing inky sky in mock concentration. “Tallest building in New York.”
“Ohh, sounds fun.”
He grinned before grabbing her hand and getting one of the many taxis in New York City. She leaned her head against his shoulder, marveling in the feel of his body and the complete satisfaction he gave her. “Thank you, for bringing me with you.”
She leaned up and planted a kiss on his cheek. The taxi driver looked from the rear view mirror and chuckled. He leaned his cheek against the top of her head, idly rubbing Kagome's shoulder.
`It's okay Kagome. You may not remember us now, but hopefully you will. Even if you never remember, I'll make new memories for you…make a new reason for you to love me, just like I love you.'
“Come on, you'll like the view.” He got out of the taxi and Kagome looked up. The gigantically tall building stood in front of her. In all it's glory, the Empire State Building shined with the light of the near by businesses and the moon hitting its windows.
“You can really go all the way up there?”
“Of course.” He wrapped his arm around her waist, propelling her towards the building's lobby. He paid the entrance fee and took her in to the elevator, pressing to go up to the eighty-sixth floor.
The observatory didn't have many people on it, oddly enough. The shinning floors glistened as the people around them talked and laughed. He look out the observatory and Kagome's hands flew to her mouth.
“InuYasha,” She muffled. He stood behind her, wrapped his arms around her, and rested his chin on her shoulder.
“You like it?”
“Yes. It's beautiful.” She looked around, watching the other buildings' lights light up as the clock struck the time to turn them on. The night life of New York City awakened and Kagome could only gape at the nightly beauty the city had. The Empire State Building's autumn lights came to life around her.
“Kagome, I promise this'll be the best week you ever had.”
“I hope it will be.”
She turned in his arms. He smiled down at her, leaning closer. “It will. By the end of week, everyone will know you're my New York princess.”
“Now you're pulling my leg.”
He chuckled. “I'm not. Watch, everyone will know.”
Kagome gasped when she felt his lips press gently against hers. Instant sensations shot through her, down her spine. She leaned on her toes, wrapped her arms around his neck. Her hand came up to cradle his cheek, caressing his face lovingly.
`InuYasha…'
Vivid images crawled in to her mind as InuYasha ravaged her senses. She whimpered; he growled when his tongue invaded her mouth. The shivers ran from her head to her toes, centering in the pit of her stomach. The familiar sensation she felt whenever InuYasha kissed her like this. The world fell around them, time stopped for her when he pulled her closer against him. The sounds of the peoples were blocked out, taken over the feelings he arose inside.
InuYasha running through the forest assailed her mind, same face, same hair…different attire, tiny dog ears on his head. “No, you should shut up and let me protect you!”
`Protect me?'
`Hasn't he always protected you?'
`…Yes'
Waves of feelings crashed over her at the image of InuYasha, holding a very large sword in his hands assailed her. She gasped, drew back from his kiss. The image dissipated, slowly melted away, leaving her in the real world again. He drew her in to a tight hug. She wrapped her arms around him, burying her face in his chest.
“InuYasha?”
“Hmm?”
“I-I…saw you…i-in my head, wearing a red kimono.”
He drew back, hands resting on her upper arms. “Wh-What?”
She chuckled nervously. “Kinda stupid right?”
He shook his head, kissed her forehead. “No, not stupid. Not at all.”
She gulped and let him hold her. “You wanna keep looking around?”
She closed her eyes. “Just a little longer, just hold me a little longer.”
`Could it be? Could she be remembering me?'
`She feels your hanyou aura, you know. Her miko blood isn't stupid. It recognizes its mate, Kagome can't help but feel a very strong pull towards you. It heightens her feelings.'
`I just want her to remember…that's all I want, for her to remember me…to remember our adventures and us.'
He sighed, holding her closer, looking out the observatory and on to the gleams on the city.
“Okay. Just a little longer, for you, Kagome.”
