InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ War of the Gangs ❯ Prologue ( Prologue )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Ok guys, be patient, this is not going to get updated very much until some of my other stories are completed, but, like many other authors, I need to relax. Just to sit back and have some fun with a new idea. Most of the authors would do a one-shot in this case, but (not that I don’t like one-shots because some are really good) I don’t believe that a story can be over so soon it needs to have more to it. Besides, I always wonder what happens after that, but with no way to ever find out. So, updates WILL be extremely slow. I will only update when I have writer’s block or just need to take a break. Oh, yeah, one more thing, most of my stories take place in Missouri, USA just because it’s the only place really and truly know. And when I do, you will find me stating this somewhere in the story. Thanks!
Disclaimer: I don’t own any of the Inuyasha and Co characters, if I did, I doubt I would be sitting here writing a fanfic.

I’ll never forget the day it happened, I mean truly happened. When we all realized how awful it had become without us noticing. And to this day, I am still haunted by terrible dreams of those days, back when it was supposed to be the best year of our lives. So I’m here to tell you that it wasn’t, and no matter how much they try to cover it up, it was the year from hell, the one neither I nor anyone will.
It started out with just the Crows and the Dragons. Two gangs, that stood for two completely different things. One stood for malice, hatred, and drugs, the one that everyone thought was good, they were wrong. And then the other one, the one that stood for hope, one where the people in it, actually cared for one another, the one everyone thought was up to no good, they couldn’t have been more wrong. This would be their downfall.
So, as the battle raged on, and one gang a person short, all feared the worse. I couldn’t blame them. It was no longer a simple fight, no, it had turned into an all out war. One that would leave a mark on the town for another century at least, if not longer.
Sometimes I think that it never happened, that it was just a dream. But, when I look into the bedroom across from mine, I know it was no dream, just a horrible and deadly ordeal that happened six years ago. Although, the occupants of the bedroom across from mine, seems to be the only good thing that ever happened from my eighteenth year.
Many people think that just because I live in a small town that things as big as this would happen, well, like I’ve said all along, they’re wrong. People think that all the things that resemble the battle only happen in the big cities, where the gangsters are supposed to be. Well, as I tell this tale, I want you to listen to this one thing, and even if you don’t remember else, remember this, I promise someday it will come in handy.
The city kids think their tuff, think nothing can hurt them, all is considered child’s play to them, but I have one question for them, have they ever lived where I do. Now coming to visit doesn’t count, you actually have to live here, a true blue citizen of the town, to actually know. See, coming to visit will just leave you with the impression that this is a safe little haven in the big bad world. But, to truly live here, you know the secrets. The secrets that have been tucked away, so no one can find them unless they know where they are. You see, the things that go on behind the outsiders’ backs is ten times worse than what you’ll ever believe, and what the adults always turn away from unless they truly understood, which most don’t. I was there. I lived it. I know. And I won’t run, I can’t, it was too real, especially when you’re actually involved. It was miserable.
Ok, before I give too much away, I was just trying to get you to realize what it is really like. For example, have you ever drove by in your car and seen the cops at the house on the corner with the meth lab that has been there for years. I mean, it’s no secrets, even to the police. You think, at first, that this is it, it’s over, no longer will my family be in danger because of this, but, when you drive by and get a better look, you see the head of the police station out back with a bottle of beer in hand. Plus, to top it all off, there is some incriminating white powder in a bag that he holds in his lap. Well have you ever seen something like this? And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, oh yes, it gets worse. But that’s what you’re going to find out later on.
I know it must seem I’m rambling, and I most likely am, but, before I take you through the life I led when younger. As I told you before, no matter what, there is no way I’ll be able to actually describe what it is like, and hopefully you’ll never have to find out. I pray, that you never know, never realize, and never experience the pain, heartache, the regret. As I wish I hadn’t
Now, as I take you through this story of a lifetime that seems almost unreal, I let you know that this war will have no tie. It’s too bloody to let that happen, and all of us are far to determined to let it happened. There was a winner and there was a loser. But at what cost? That, is something I don’t want to remember, but I live with every day.
The moral of this story is, and this alone. Instead of going out there and doing what the crowd does, say no, and stand out. It’s ok to stand out, believe me, I did it, although it was hard, I did it anyways. But, I think it was too late for me to do anything without a serious outcome. So, as I tell you of the story, please stop them, before it gets out of hand, before you lose something very dear to your heart, like I did. Because, no matter what everyone says, you can change it, I am an example of it, just change it before it gets as far as it did when I decided to change it.
Now, before I ramble to much, which I’m sure I am, let me get back to the point at hand. It started on night, no, that’s not right, oh yes, it started on day, on my first day of school when I went to Calculous class. It seemed just like a normal, run of the mill, wish you weren’t there kind of day, except when the event happened that changed mine and everyone else’s lives forever. I warn you now that this is not a story that one who prefers stories with happy little elves should be reading, but if you want to know the truth, to know what really happened, then by all means, read to your heart’s content. I hope this tale gives you at least an idea or glimpse of the reality of it all, if not, then maybe at least it will make you think, and if not that either, maybe it will at least keep you amused for awhile.
So sit back, curl up with your favorite blanket, and let me tell you of a world with hate, a world that was meant to end. A world we saved, and through it all, love blossomed, for good or for the bad, well, I’ll let you decide that.

So there’s the prologue. I haven’t decided whether or not I will put the story in first person or third person, not sure yet, it all depends on how I feel. I hope for you to review and tell me what you think. Again, I did say this and a lot of the other prologues I am putting up is just to give me a break with the one’s I’m working on now, and to help my mind think some. It will not be updated very much, but please be patient. Thank you, and review. See ya!

War of the Gangs

Prologue
I would like to tell you something, something I’m sure no one will believe. Something so dark that no one knew what was happening until it was over and the aftermath of it, tore many people’s lives apart. They hated us for it, too. Blamed it solely on us. Of course, why would they believe some trailer trash above the high class. They wouldn’t. They didn’t And because of that it was their downfall.By: CowgirlUSA
