Chapter one

It was like any other day. Kagome had gone home to get supplies and some homework. She was in the well house when the clasp on her chain broke. The jar hit the ground and shattered and the shards went everywhere.

“Darn it, can this day get any worse?” Kagome asked herself. She bent down and picked up the shards. She went back to the house and got a new chain and jar. Soon she left again and headed back to the Feudal Era.

An American girl came to the Sunset Shrine and went up to the door.

“Hello, is anyone there?” the girl asked looking around to find someone.

“What do you want?” asked a short old man coming from around the corner.

“Um, I was wondering if you could give me a tour of your shrine.”

“Why?”

“Because it is my first time in Tokyo and I have read a lot about shrines, so I came here to look.”

“ Well, ok then, come on Ms.??”

“Oh, my name is Ami Good.”

“ Ok Ms. Good please come this way.”

He told her all this stuff about demons. He said the well was called the Bone eaters Well. That it is dated back 5oo years. He told her it was named this because when people killed the demons, they would throw their bones in the well and they would disappear.

` Man, this guy is really obsessed with demons.' She thought

A little boy poked his head around the corner and said, “Hey grandpa, mom said that lunch is ready.”

“Ok Souta, I'll be right there, “ the old man said.

“Would you like to join us Ms. Good?”

“Um, sure and call me Ami”

As she was leaving the well house something caught her eye. She bent down a picked up what looked like a purple-pink color.

` Wow this is so pretty. I would make a lovely pendent for a necklace,' she thought ` I think I will give it to my sister for her birthday.'

She stuck the bead in her pocket. She got up and leaned over the well ` Why would anyone want to throw bones in a well? I thought wells were used to supply people with water.' She shrugged her shoulders and turned to leave. A cat ran under her feet making her lose her balance. She ended falling backwards in the well. She saw blue and white lights flash by her as she fell. Then with a thud she hit the bottom of the well. She sat there for a minute gathering herself and her thoughts. When she finally got up she looked up not to see the roof of the well house she was in but instead she saw a clear blue sky.
