**5 Months later**

 

 

Its been 5 months since InuYasha and Kagome confessed their love to each other and their still together and nothing could break them apart. It was now January and they only had 2 months until the Battle of the Bands compition. The gang was in New York for New Year's Day in Time Square and there was only ten minutes till the ball dropped.

“This is soooo cool. I never thought I would actually be able to see this!” Kagome said. She told every one that she had never been around a TV when the ball dropped she was always at a party or in a club. But this year she was with InuYasha and her friends.

InuYasha had Kagome in his arms with a jacket wrapped around her shoulders and a heavy blanket wrapped around both of them. Miroku and Sango have been going out for about 2 months and where in the same position as InuYasha and Kagome. The same for Shippo and Kirara as well. They were all standing together when they heard a scream then “INU DARLING!!!” Every one whipped their heads around to see who it was.(guess who!)

It was Kikyou and some guy. He had long black hair down to the middle of his back and Kagome was scared of him. She didn't tell anyone why though. InuYasha thought it was kinda strange exspeacaily when she shuddered in his arms.

He looked down to see her face burried in his shirt. He whispered in her ear “Kagome what wrong? Are you okay? Speak to me women!” Kagome looked up to see concered and worried golden eyes.

InuYasha could smell fear all over her. He could smell the tears coming into her eyes. When he looked to see Kikyou still standing there he said “What do you want Kikyou? Why are you hear?”

“Oh Inu... is that how you treat your girlfreind?” “Kikyou your not my girlfriend. Never was and never will be. Kagome is mine and im hers, so if you don't mind…GO AWAY!!”

InuYasha was about to punch her when he remebered that Kagome was still in his arms. He relaxed a little when she tighted her grip around him. He looked over to Miroku and gave him a look saying get-her-out-of-here-before-I-kill-her! Miroku understood it perfictly since he recevied a look similair to that many times before.

When Kikyou and the stranger left there was about five minutes left until 12:00. InuYasha turned his full attention on the girl in his arms. She looked so helpless and scared in his arms. That alone just made him tighten his grip around her waist.

When Kagome looked up she met with caring, conserend, and loving golden eyes. She couldn't help but get lost in them. “Kagome can you tell me why you were so scared of that man?” Kagome looked down and barried her face in his chest. He smelt tears and picked up her face so he could see her. “Whats wrong? You don't have to tell me now. You can tell me in the hotel or when your ready.” Kagome looked gratefull that she didn't have to talk about it. By the time he was finished it was ready for the ball to drop. When it did every one was counting down. When it finally dropped every one kissed.
