Chapter Four
Inuyasha woke up before Kagome later that day, he sat up slightly to look at his mate. He kissed her on the forehead and looked around to find his pants. After Inuyasha had found his pants, he put them on and noticed something. 'Where's Kagome's shirt...and that 'bra' thing?' he thought for a moment then said outloud, "Oh, yeah, I remember. I took it off at the well. I better go get it before Kagome's family finds it. Specialy that damn old man."
Inuyasha turned to leave then looked back at Kagome, he knew that demons would probably try to use his new mate against him, they might kidnap or hurt her, specialy Naraku, and if Kouga found her all hell would break loose. Inuyasha didn't have the heart to wake her though, she looked to peaceful when she was asleep.
Inuyasha grabbed Tetsusaiga and knealed down beside her. 'I'll leave Tetsusaiga, that might help.' he though laying the sword next to her. By then she had already moved off of his Fire Rat shirt so he covered her up with it, not wanting to leave her exposed for everything to see, and put his inner kimono on. With that more or less settled, Inuyasha took off towards the well.
**~**~**In Kagome's Time**~**~**
Souta opened the door to the well house and walked over to the well. The thought still remained that he had heard voices earlier. He looked into the well then something beside it caught his atention. 'Is that...!' "Kagome's shirt and bra!! What are these doing here!? And where's the rest of her!!??" he said picking up the disgarded clothing in shock.
Just then Inuyasha popped out of the well and saw Souta. Souta stared at him, mouth wide open, and Inuyasha noticed what he was holding. 'Uh oh. To late' He smiled at Souta and grabbed Kagome's cloths from him quickly, hiding them behind his back. "I think Kagome needs these now. You just go back home, kay." he said disappearing into the well.
Souta stared at his hands then at the well Inuyasha had disappeared into. A thought struck Souta and he grabbed his backpack as he ran back to the house. "Mamma, Mamma! I'm probably gonna be an uncle soon!" he yelled as he entered the kitchen. Miss Higurashi stared at him.
"Souta, what are you talking about?" Souta smiled at her and said, "I wanted to look at the well. When I went in there I found Siss's shirt and bra lying on the ground next to the well. Then Inuyasha came and said that Kagome need them now. I'm gonna be an uncle probably." Miss Higurashi stared at her son in shocked silence.
'I realized Kagome knew about that, but I didn't think she would ever do such a thing and with Inuyasha no doubt. And what if Grampa finds out, goodnes knows what he'll do. And what if Kagome gets pregnate? What's she going to do then?' Well, one of Miss Higurashi's silent questions was soon to be answered, though not out loud.
Kagome's Grampa stood outside the door listening. 'I knew that demon was nothing but trouble and now this has happened. Souta had better be wrong, I will not allow Kagome to shame this family by being with that damn demon.' (A/n: Persistant lil` dude ain` `e?)
**~**~**In Feudal Japan**~**~**
Inuyasha jumped out of the well and headed quickly towards where he had left Kagome, reaching the clearing in a matter of minutes. Inuyasha sighed in relief when he saw Kagome was exactly where she was when he left. Inuyasha walked over to her and layed her cloths down nearby. He layed down next to her and pulled her closer to his chest, wrapping his arms around her protectively and falling back asleep.
Inuyasha woke later to the sent of demon and it was close by, not close enough to see, but close enough to smell and identify. He instinctively wrapped his arms tighter around Kagome's sleeping body and opened his eyes. He knew exactly who the demon was and a growl escaped his throat, makeing Kagome wiggle in his tight embrace.
Inuyasha let go of Kagome and sat up, scanning the area for any threat. When he didn't see anything he looked at Kagome. 'Good, Kouga isn't to close. He's hopefully far enough away to where I'll have enough time to get Kagome back to the village. Boy are the others in for a surprize.' he though wrapping his Fire Rat shirt tightly around Kagome and picking up Tetsusaiga and the cloths that were scattered everywhere. Inuyasha then picked Kagome up in his arms, holding the clothes in one of his hands, and ran in the direction of the village.
Inuyasha stoped just outside the village and started walking towards Keade's hut, where Miroku, Sango and Shippou were standing outside. Shippou saw Inuyasha walk out of the forest carrying Kagome and ran up to him. "Inuyasha, where've you been? I went to get you this morning and you weren't there. Wait a minute, what's Kagome doing here? And why are you carrying her cloths?" he asked stareing up at him with a confused look on his face.
Shippou was even more confused when he noticed the way they smelled. 'Why do they smell so much like eachother? WAIT!' he thought jumping up onto Kagome and sniffing at her. "Inuyasha! You and Kagome are mates!? Kagome smells a little funny, too." he yelled staring at him in shock.
Inuyasha growled at him and said, "Yes." he looked at Miroku and Sango who were staring at him the same way Shippou was, except Miroku's mouth was wide open. "You got a problem with that?" Sango shook her head, Miroku fell backwards and Sango stared at him.
Inuyasha looked at Shippou and asked, "What about you?" Shippou shook his head and jumped down as Inuyasha carried Kagome into the hut layed her down on the bed and layed her cloths down beside the bed. The demon exterminater, the kitsune and the newly revived monk looked in through the door jumped back when Inuyasha walked outside. They stared at him and Inuyasha growled. "What!?"
They were all about to give him about a billion questions when a certain wolf-demon burst through the trees, stalked up to Inuyasha and grabbed him by the collor of his inner kimono.(`cause, `member. Kagome's got his Fire Rat Shirt `cause she ain` got nothin else on) Inuyasha growled at him and asked, "What the hell do you want?" "I want to know where My Kagomr is." Inuyasha smirked and pulled away from Kouga's grip on his shirt. "My MATE is inside asleep." he said crossing his arms and making sure to emphisize on the word 'mate'.
Kouga stared at him and shook his head, "Your lying, Kagome isn't your mate." Inuyasha nodded and said, "I'm telling the truth. Ask any one of them." Inuyasha pointed behind him at Miroku, Sango and Shippou. "Don't get us into this." Sango said. Kouga glared at them and Shippou nodded and said, "Yep. It's true, we just found out thi--"
Sango picked him up and covered his mouth. "We're gonna go in here." she said running into the hut where Kagome was sleeping. Miroku pointed in the air with his fingure and said quickly, rushing in behind her, "I'll come with you."
Inuyasha turned to Kouga and smiled. Kouga growled at him and grabbed Inuyasha by the collor of his shirt again. "You basturd! You forced her to be your mate!" Inuyasha growled back (Heh, i`s like a dog fight. Grrrrrrr, ehem, gomen.) and said, "I did not! She wanted to be my mate. You can ask her yourself when she wakes up." Kouga released Inuyasha and said, "I'll be back to get My Kagome, you stupid mut. And if you won't give her then I'll take her."
Then Kouga ran off. Inuyasha smiled and turned around when he heard a scream. "Kagome!" Inuyasha ran to the hut but stoped when he heard, "Miroku you pervert get outa here, I haven't got anything on!!" Then he saw Miroku run out of the hut with Shippou and Sango right behind him. Inuyasha walked over to the hut and started to walk inside. "It's not very safe in there, Inuyasha." Inuyasha ignored Miroku and walked inside anyway.
Shippou jumped onto Miroku's shoulder. "I don't think it's dangerous for him." Shippou said, Miroku shrugged and looked at Sango, she also shrugged.
Inuyasha walked into the hut and saw Kagome putting her shirt on. 'Shippou was right, she does smell a little funny.' Inuyasha thought, he shook it off though. Kagome looked up at him and smiled. "G`morning Inuyasha. Was Kouga just here, I thought I heard him." Inuyasha shook his head and kissed her gently, then cupped her face in his hands. "No, you were just hearing things. That stupid wolf won't bother you." he said smiling down at her, Kagome smiled back and asked looking around, "How did I get to Keade's?"
"I brought you back here a little while ago. I also went an` got your shirt from the well house before your family found it." Kagome blushed and nodded. "Thank you, Inuyasha, but I have to go back home for a little while."
Inuyasha pouted and nuzzled her neck. "Why d`you have to go back, we were just there. I can't believe you'de rather listen to that old man raise hell than stay here with me." Kagome smiled and pulled away from him. "I have to restock my bag. Your out of ramen and we left before I could." she said walking over to her pack and lifting it onto her shoulder. Inuyasha sighed and took her pach from her. "Fine, I'll come with you then."
Shippou jumped into her arms right when she walked out the door. "Kagome, are you and Inuyasha realy mates?" he asked almost pitifully. Kagome nodded and smiled. "Yes, why?" Shippou shrugged and said, "I was just trying to make sure. Are you leaving or somthing?" he asked looked at Kagome's pack.
Kagome shook her head and said, "I'm going home to restock my pack, but me and Inuyasha'll be back later." she said handing him to Sango and smiling. Shippou pouted but nodded, as did Sango, but Miroku fainted with the agrement of what Inuyasha said. Kagome stared at him for a minute and shook her head, then turned to Inuyasha and said, "Come on Inuyasha. We better get going." Her and Inuyasha said bye to Sango and Shippou and then left for the well. When they got there, neither one noticed someone watching nearby as they jumped into the well. (*dun dun duuuun*hehehehe..I'm sorry.)
**~**~**In Kagome's Time**~**~**
Inuyasha jumped out of the well and sat down Kagme's pack so he could help her out of the well. Inuyasha lifted her out of the well and said, "Well we're here. You know he's gonna raise hell don't you?" Kagome nodded and said, "I don't care. Come on." Kagome smiled at him and started towards her house.
Kagome opened the door and said, "Hay, Mom, I'm back." Miss Higurashi turned around and smiled. "Kagome, hello. Why are you back so soon, dear? Didn't you and Inuyasha just leave?" "I have to restock my bag. I forgot about it earlier." she said grabbing her pack from Inuyasha and setting it on the kitchen table.
Miss Higurashi smiled at Inuyasha and was about to say somthing when Souta ran into the kitchen yelling, "Mom! There's some one outside, he came out of the well house. Did someone follow you guys?" Inuyasha and Kagome stared at him and then heard the door slam. They all looked at the door and there stood Kouga.
