Ch. 13 Inuyasha's revelation

 

 

Inuyasha walked through the doors leading into the cafeteria and noticed none of the lights were on. It was dimmer now that it was getting dark outside and since school was out the cafeteria was practically black.

 

Inuyasha grumbled as he walked over to stare up at the damage he'd done earlier that day.

What had gotten into him? He wondered, maybe he just needed a vacation, things now-a-days were getting to him more and more. First it was the whole thing with Kikyo and her annoying ways, then getting stuck with Kagome as his partner then Kouga and his big mouth talking about Kagome.

 

Inuyasha narrowed his eyes as he studied the hole in the window- It almost always had something to do with Kagome all of a sudden, but why?

 

Inuyasha snorted, that was easy and it was because he hated her. Inuyasha pondered then halted with the glass in his hands as he thought about why he still hated her. He shrugged when realized he couldn't remember anymore.

 

He sighed, “Better get this shit over with before somebody comes in and starts yelling at me for-“

 

`Wait…' Inuyasha paused in his cleaning, `I forgot to call Jaken about picking Kagome up in the back of the school.'

 

Oops.

Kagome shuffled the supplies for her and Inuyasha's project in her hands better so she wouldn't drop them from their weight. By the time she'd gotten all of the things she needed for the project school had cleared out and now she walked alone in the hallways.

 

`You'd think Inuyasha would help me with some of this stuff… but of course not… Inuyasha's too important to do anything; he couldn't even lift a finger if it meant helping someone out.' Kagome scowled.

 

She pushed open the double doors at the bottom of the stairwell leading outside to the dumpsters, and dropped the supplies and her jaw.

 

“Oh my god,” Kagome spun around then ran around the tiny corner that showed the dumpsters. “Where is my ride?” Kagome screeched out loud and threw her hands in the air in exasperation. “Oh when I get a hold of Inuyasha I'm going to make him suffer so badly he'll wish he-“

 

“Kagome?”

 

Kagome jumped and stopped in her rant to acknowledge the boy who she's seen around school but never got a chance to know.

 

“Hakudoshi… Hi, what are you doing back here?”

 

He gave her a grin.

 

“Shouldn't I be asking you that question?” He pointed to all her stuff sprawled on the ground at her feet. “What's all this?” He inquired lazily.

 

“My stuff” `Duh' “Look could you tell me if you've seen anyone drive back here looking like they were looking for somebody? Because I'm that somebody,” She pointed to her chest and looked at him expectantly.

 

He shook his head in understanding. “Yeah, I saw him. I asked him what he wanted but he didn't say, then he drove off and a second later you came barreling out the door.”

 

Kagome knew she looked like she was ready to cry, but she hated it so much when people let her down, even when it was someone like Inuyasha.

 

Hakudoshi must have read her expression because he walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder.

 

Kagome sniffled, “I just hate it when people let me down.”

 

Hakudoshi massaged her shoulder, “I know,” he sympathized, “Inuyasha is so pathetic.”

 

Kagome shook her head to agree then laid her head on his shoulder that he was offering for support. Kagome suddenly wondered how Hakudoshi knew that this had to do with Inuyasha.

 

Kagome started mumbling into his shoulder and Hakudoshi started rubbing her back. “There, there, it's alright Kagome… you know what you need?” Hakudoshi whispered into her ear since she was already wrapped in his arms.

 

Kagome just shook her head to let him know she didn't know what he was talking about.

 

Hakudoshi squeezed her to him really tightly. “Someone to arouse your senses,” He began cooing in her ear, “someone who will satisfy you.”

 

Kagome stilled when his hand reached down and grabbed her butt.

 

Kagome lifted her face to get a better look at him and to tell him off for touching her, but when she opened her mouth Hakudoshi stuck his tongue in it.

 

Kagome squealed into his mouth and attempted with all her strength to push him off of her but Hakudoshi kept his lips glued to hers and roughly reached under her skirt and tore her underwear at the seams. Kagome eyes flared open and she dragged her head back long enough to get out one piercing scream before Hakudoshi pushed her to the ground.

Inuyasha glanced around the dark cafeteria and sighed- man he should have just paid some desperate kid to do this for him. He'd gathered all the broken glass into one big garbage can and had cleaned off all the tables, now all he really needed to do was take out that window he'd smashed and take this plastic window and tape it up.

 

Later he'd have to take the garbage cans out to the dumpsters and dispose of it so he could finally go home, and if they thought he was coming back to school after the shit he'd had to put up with today then they could quite simply eat shit.

 

Inuyasha grinned; it would be pretty nice to make the principle eat his own dog's feces.

 

Inuyasha had grabbed the window when a scream like no other tore through the stillness of the night. Inuyasha gently dropped the window down on the ground in the cafeteria, there was no way he was cleaning up broken glass again.

 

The scream had startled him but he didn't think anything of it. People screamed all the damn time, they even-

 

His thoughts came to a halt, whoever had screamed was still screaming but now they were screaming for help, and…. Inuyasha walked back up to the window and listened intently to see if he could make it out, they were screaming for a …Inuyasha…?

 

Then like a brick to the face…

 

“KAGOME!!!” Inuyasha bellowed out the window.

 

Inuyasha's heart leapt to his throat as in one split second the pieces of the puzzle fit into place; `of course… she'd be the only one out back by the dumpsters.'

 

Inuyasha jumped out the window in one flawless sprint and ran as fast as his legs could carry him.

Hakudoshi landed on top of Kagome with a thud, obviously not caring for her well being, and just as Hakudoshi made to grab for her underwear he was being lifted straight up. Kagome and Hakudoshi both made eye contact in the split second that he had hovered above her then as if he was being teleported into a flying saucer he disappeared. Kagome looked up unsure of what was going on before she heard Hakudoshi's screams, but she couldn't tell where his screams were coming from. Kagome almost wanted to whimper, he sounded like he was dying.

 

Kagome stood up still unsure of what do to as she dusted the back of her skirt off, that's when she felt the major scratch from her thigh to her hip gushing blood.

 

Kagome stiffened her upper lip in anger, “That son of a bitch scratched me!” Kagome yelled out.

 

“He did what!?” Kagome whipped around to see Inuyasha standing behind her or more like rushing up to her.

 

“Inuyasha… what are you doing back-“ she got cut off again as Inuyasha ploughed into and hugged her tight.

 

“Oh, Kagome, I was so afraid… are you alright?” He mumbled into her hair and searched her body with his hands.

 

“Am I dreaming again?” Kagome wondered still stuck in Inuyasha's death grip and not being able to believe that she like it, a lot.

 

Inuyasha leaned back far enough to get a good look at her face, and then he got angry. “What the hell were you doing way back here anyways!?” He lashed out shaking her roughly.

 

Kagome tried to regain her balance but found it nearly impossible and pointless since Inuyasha was dangling her like a puppet a couple inches off the ground.

 

“You Baka, it's your entire fault I was back here in the first place! Now put me down!” Kagome yelped when he didn't stop the ranting and the abuse on her arms. Kagome had had enough, this whole situation had been horrible and now she felt completely drained.

 

Inuyasha stopped then looked at her as if seeing her for the first time when he realized what he was doing and what he had said. His face became expressionless and he dropped her the two inches.

 

Kagome started to sob when her underwear -no longer able to hold itself up fell around her ankles. She didn't bother to pick them up. Exhausted she swayed and fell into Inuyasha's waiting arms. Inuyasha picked her up then sat down on a bench down the little street and cuddled Kagome on his lap till the tears stopped. Inuyasha had never been more relieved to know that Hakudoshi did nothing more than scare her and hadn't succeeded with getting her underwear off, but he was shaken that if he hadn't arrived just in time something could have happened.

 

This time it was Inuyasha who cooed in her ears and said caring things, this time it would be Inuyasha who took her home. This time he'd make sure nothing like this ever happened to Kagome again.

 

Because this time Inuyasha was in love.

 

Hakudoshi wouldn't bother Kagome for a long time, later that night Inuyasha was going to drag a battered and beaten up Hakudoshi to the police station.
