Inuyash a sat at Kagome's side. "Kagome, please wake up...please!" He quietly plead. His mind replayed the scene over and over again...
*flashback*
"Inuyasha!" Kagome screamed as Naraku's tentacle shot through her stomach.
"Kagome! NOOOOO!" Inuyasha cried out. Time seemed to stop while he could only watch Kagome fall to the ground. It seemed to take an eternity.
He glared at Naraku, who was laughing his head off like there was no tomorrow.
Something in him snapped. With lighning fast speed, Inuyasha pulled Tetsuaiga from the ground and cried out, "Kaze no Kizu!"
The largest and most powerful Kaze no Kizu he had ever unleashed caught off guard. Naraku had no time to react, the bright yellow blades slicing through his demon heart. Massive chunks of his body went flying everywhere.
"Wind Tunnel!" Miroku cried out, sucking up every last chunk. And indeed, every piece flew into his rapidly closing tunnel. When every chunk became sucked into the endless black vortex, the void itself diappeared. He stared at in awe. Naraku was finally dead.
"We did it..." Sango whispered before flying towards Kohaku's small form.
Everyone seemed in awe, except Inuyasha. He seemed to be the only one who didn't realize that Naraku was dead. He was too busy cradling Kagome's small, bleeding, unconsious body in his arms.
"Kagome, you're going to be alright! You've got to hold on!" he whimpered. "Kagome, Kagome..." He picked her up bridal-style and with one look that told the others where he was going, he started running. And boy, did he run. He ran faster than he'd ever run in his whole life towards Kaede's hut.
'Please, just hold on a little longer Kagome!' he thought every step of the way.
*end flashback*

Kagome stirred and Inuyasha snapped out of his daydream.
"Kagome...there's something I need to tell you...please just listen to me, ok? We're alone now and I just want you to hear what I have to say...please just don't leave me. I can't live without you." Inuyasha plead.
From nowhere, Inuyasha started to hum a tune, and began to sing.
"Stay with me
Don't fall asleep too soon

Kagome began to stir. She heard singing. A low, peaceful, calming sound. 'Inu...yash..a?' she thought.

"It was written in the stars, Kagome. I...I love you. It took me this long to realize it...please don't leave me!" Inuyasha whispered into her ear.
A warm tear slipped down his face and dropped onto Kagome's face. With this Kagome began to awake.
'Is he crying? I must be dreaming or dead...' she thought. 'Wait, did he just say he loved me?'
"Am...I dead? If this...what being dead is like...I don't mind it much..." Kagome said with a smile.
Inuyasha's face glowed brighter than the full moon. "Kagome!" He clutched her closer.
"You're not dead, you baka! Don't ever say that! I don't think I could deal with that..." Inuyasha whimpered.
"Wait...Inuyasha...did you mean what you just...just said?...That you...you love me?" Kagome said, her voice and brain finally starting to work together again.
"Kagome, of course I do. I meant every word. Kami, Kagome I thought I lost you! I felt so broken, so alone. Without you, I don't know. Kagome, I truly love you. If you don't love me I understand but..." Inuyasha blushed as red as his firerat robe.
Kagome felt her stomach do somersaults. 'He loves me!' With amazing strength, she pulled him down into a tender kiss.
"You baka, I love you too." she said, breaking the kiss.
"Good. I knew, Kagome, the first time I saw you, I wanted to be with you forever. I love you. The place where we are, it was written in the stars."
