Chapter 4

 

As InuYasha, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango walked down the dirty, dusty trail, they sensed an evil aura - It was Naraku. As usual, InuYasha immediately reacted by getting down on his hands and knees and sniffed around for his scent.

 

Once he found it, he pulled Kagome onto his back. Sango and Miroku jumped onto Kirara. InuYasha dashed off with Kirara behind him. He knew he was nearing Naraku when the scent got stronger. Once he spotted him, he crouched town to let Kagome down. Kirara protected her as InuYasha, Sango, and Miroku fought their hardest. Sango threw her boomerang-bone out to hit Naraku. He smacked it away with one of his poison limbs that resembled a tentacle and then reached out for Sango and picked her up.

 

“UNGH… AHHHH!!!” Sango screamed.

“SANGO!” Miroku cried out. He ran after her, but was hit away buy another poisonous tentacle. InuYasha growled, and called Naraku an idiot, and went to attack him. He missed, due to Naraku's amazingly fast speed. By now, Sango had fainted. Miroku was trying so hard, but could do nothing in his power to stop Naraku.

 

Just then, Kagome pulled an arrow out.

 

“I WON'T MISS… YOU'RE DEAD!” She aimed the arrow and then shot it so it would pierce right through the middle of Naraku.

 

“YES! I GOT HIM!”

 

Sango was dropped onto the hard ground. As Miroku ran straight over to her, Naraku sealed the hole and fled.

 

“Why does that bastard have to be such a damn coward?” asked InuYasha. “I can't beat him if he keeps running away like it's his job, or something.”

 

“How are we going to carry Sango back to where we were?” Kagome asked.

 

Miroku picked Sango up and carried her in his arms; He even put her extra-heavy boomerang on his back.

 

“This has to be another one of his perverted plans,” Inuyasha said to Kagome quietly. Kagome just sighed and nodded her head.
