how do i start this out...without everyone who has been waiting for this story to hurry up and continue bombarding me with evil lit up torches. ^^’. I would like to super duper apologize for not hurrying up and going on to the next chapter. My excuse? I didn’t exactly forget about this story. I still think about how I’m going to continue ALL THE TIME! I really did get stuck on how the story was going to continue though, writer’s block I think they call it. Life is just soooo packed right now. So many test and such. Getting ready for the 9th grade(: another thing is that I’m on the verge of failing:/ Not that I’m dumb or anything, just lots of personal issues, and evil teachers XD. And as much as I think my writing is fairly good, my language arts teacher is currently failing me!!!! *sigh* oh well. I just want to take a break from all of that, and get on with the 23therd chapter of “You Know You Love Me” :D
Chapter 23
Skeptical
Inuyasha glared at Sesshomaru. Izayoi looked at Inuyasha to Kagome skeptically.
Kagome looked down from the gaze. She was utterly embarrassed.
“Inuyasha, explain!” Inu Taisho yelled.
Kagome was clinging to Inuyasha as hard as she could.
“Me, and Kagome sorta just got together, but we’ve been thinking about for some time now.”
“You never told me this.” Izayoi explained.
“Mom, I’m not going to tell you everything!, I’m a teenager for crying out loud.”
“Stop disrespecting your mother.” Inu Taisho said glaring at Inuyasha. “You don’t normally have such rudeness to your mother, I would be happy to know that this girl has nothing to do with that.” He said skeptically.
Inuyasha looked up with rage in his eyes. “Kagome has nothing to do with my attitude, my attitude has always been bad!”
“And it’s gotten worse with these past few days!, maybe this school wasn’t the best choice, your getting older Inuyasha, its time you gave a little honor to this family!” Inu Taisho said banging on the table. Not knowing his power the glass table broke.
Inuyasha looked hurt. He turned and hid his eyes underneath his bangs.
Kagome began to cry. ’I ruin everything!’ Kagome thought.
‘What on earth was I even thinking!, these people have so much high expectations, I don’t even deserve to look Inuyasha in the face, he belongs in a much higher class than me, he shouldn’t be involved with someone of the likes of me!’
Kagome’s tears streamed down her face, she looked up into the eyes of his parents. They both looked a little ashamed.
“I’m SO sorry, I shouldn’t be here, I know better, I allowed myself to be caught in a dream, something that shouldn’t exist. They call them dream’s for a reason, I feel as if I’m in love with Inuyasha, witch is sad cause we hardly know each other, I think Inuyasha has higher expectations than this, I shouldn’t be medaling in his life, again I’m sorry, ill leave now.”
Kagome took off then as If the devil was at her heels. She couldn’t take it anymore. She had given up on a decent life long ago, she was lucky to have the people she did. She was being selfish in her mind.
Inuyasha stood there. He was astonished. Had she really felt that way? He felt horrible. But worse he was pissed that his parents had said what they said. They had triggered this.
“LOOK WHAT YOU DID!” Inuyasha yelled.
Izayoi looked down almost ashamed. “Inuyasha, we never meant for the girl to feel like that, you have to understand, you have more money that anyone In Japan!, some girl could just come around and take you for your money and not for really you, we were concerned. That girl, I believe she has a true heart.”
“The things I said Inuyasha, is not entirely true, you are not a shame to this family. Like your mother said about the money, were just concerned.”
“I wish we were normal, and didn’t live as snobby rich people!”
“Inuyasha, stop now! You shouldn’t ever say that, we don’t live like that, you are fortunate for the things that you have, don’t be ashamed of what you come from!”
Inuyasha just walked out the door following Kagome’s sent. It lead past the neighborhood .
“Where is she going?!” Inuyasha said to himself. He ran for about two blocks, using his demon speed, witch got him there in about a second.
It was a small playground. There was Kagome, sitting there on the swing. Her hair illuminated in the moonrise. She looked like an angel.
Inuyasha stepped on the small pebbles to get to the swing. Kagome swung her head to see who it was. She immediately rose up from the swing.
“You need to go…”
“No Kagome, my parents are fine with you, they were just worried because you know how I have this whole heritage and shit, so they were thinking that you could be in it for the money, because well they don’t know you.”
Kagome looked down. “Still, Inuyasha, life cant be like this, I’ve known for so long that my life wasn’t made for me to exactly enjoy it, I don’t think I deserve you . You’re an Incredible person, who has there whole life ahead of you! The last thing you need is for some ghetto mess girl like me to ruin that for you!”
Inuyasha’s eye brows scrunched together. “Don’t say that!”
“Kagome, the bad things that have happened in your life were cruel and unfair, just because they are horrible doesn’t mean that you are too! Your such a great person Kagome, I’m not even joking, I want you in my life, always and forever. You may be ghetto, but your no mess! You and your friends do deserve more that what you get at most times, its crazy how most of this is coming out as gibberish, but Kagome Higurashi I love you, and I care so much about you. We may have just met, but you’re the best person I know in my life at the moment, no other girl has meant anything to me, your beautiful, smart, talented, great personality, you an awesome person how your always there for your friends, so kind so generous. If someone here doesn’t deserve the other, its me who doesn’t deserve you, but I’m selfish, I want you all to myself!”
Inuyasha panted after his long speech. Kagome was crying and looking at the ground. “No one has ever said anything like that to me.”
Kagome ran into Inuyasha’s arms with a speed she didn’t even know she had possessed. He held on tight to her. He wasn’t going to let her go. He knew this was way too early. But he felt as if he had known Kagome for years now. She was special to him, no matter what people had to say about it.
Suddenly a flash of red and white lights came by and blinded the two. “Kagome Higurashi, in the car now!”
Kagome looked up. It was a police car, three of them! Hadn’t her mom taken care of this? Inuyasha was stunned. What was he going to do? Kagome whispered into Inuyasha’s ear. “Its gonna be ok, just let me go.”
“Not a chance!” Inuyasha used his demon powers to run super fast. He was already at his house within 30 seconds. He ran to the secret door and punched in all the numbers. He pushed kagome in first, and ran inside. He closed the door shut behind him.
“Inuyasha what are you doing!”
Inuyasha slowly dragged Kagome into the house. He passed by his parents. But stopped when his mom put a hand on Kagome’s shoulder.
“Please forgive us, we didn’t know, we are just two concerned parents, we were just looking for the best person for Inuyasha, I think you fit that role perfectly.” She said with a warm smile.
Kagome gave the lady a large smile.
Inuyasha smiled too. He had explained the situation to his parents about Kagome’s father before. Inu Taisho was surprised to know that the man he had worked with for so long and talked about this small innocent little girl, wasn’t what he thought she was. She was much more, and he treated his daughter like crap compared to what he lied about.
Inuyasha told them the story about the police. So he quickly took Kagome up to her room. There wasn’t much he could do. The police didn’t know where they were at. They most likely couldn’t identify him as himself. Everything should be good. They just needed to stay out of the way of the streets for now.
Kagome laid down on her bed. She was utterly happy. And yet worried, the last thing she wanted was to drag his family into this. Kagome was getting so tired though. She was about to doze off. Inuyasha laid next to her and told her everything was going to be alright, and she trusted him with everything. That was the last thing she heard before she fell fast asleep.
Was it ok??? Omg please review. I have no clue how this one went. I’m not sure if I may have forgotten some things and messed things up. I hope not. I re-read all of the chapters before this one. I’m still scared that it didn’t turn out how I wanted it too. Its been soooo long. It wasn’t a very long chapter so I’m sorta skeptical about how it turned out. I’m really thinking hard on some idea’s right now. The next chappie should be better.
