"Kagome!"

Kagome heard a distant voice through the blackness she opened her eyes but couldn't see a thing. "What's going on?" she thought, she tried to move her arms "my body isn't moving?!" Kagome tried even more desperately to move. "I feel cold…why is it so cold?" she began to shiver uncontrollably.

"Kagome…wake up…come on." The voice seemed desperate and scared. "I know that voice! But whose is it? I can't think…" Kagome put her hands to her head. "Why can't I remember who it belongs to?" Kagome shook her head back and forth violently as if trying to force herself to remember. She felt two strong but firm arms hold her close. "Kagome." The voice pleaded and a few images ran through her mind, the first was of Inuyasha pinned to the Goshinbokou with the enchanted arrow, then of him rescuing her from the Birds of Paradise, and finally of him holding her hands together and trying to tell her something important before her friends barged in on them. "The voice belongs to Inuyasha I know it! Why does he sound so sad?"

"Inuyasha…" Kagome mumbled, while Inuyasha and the group stared at her. Inuyasha was holding Kagome in his arms and staring at her with a worried look on his face. Kagome slowly opened her eyes and stared blankly at her friends as they came into focus, she blinked a couple of times before asking "where am I?"

"Kagome? What happened?" Inuyasha shook her gently.

"We heard you scream." Sango said, she was pale and looked frightened, and she had her hand covering her mouth.

"You where pale and looked like you where on the verge of death…" Miroku added as he regained his composure. "You where cold to the touch and kept muttering something under your breath."

"What you seek will be lost, only in death can you succeed in your task." Shippou said shakily and looked at Kagome his eyes full of worry.

"I guess I have to tell them of my dreams, no their not dreams their visions?!" Kagome looked at her friends.

"What where you dreaming?" Miroku asked. He always has to get to the point doesn't he? Kagome sat up and put her back up against a tree, Inuyasha had a hand on her shoulder for which she was glad, it made her feel safe.

"It wasn't like a dream…. I felt like I actually had been there before…." She trailed off.

"Been where?" Sango asked kneeling in front of her friend.

"That island and lake…" Kagome said getting a far away look in her eyes as she stared into flames of the campfire. "That huge old tree…"

"But why where you screaming?" Miroku pressed. Kagome sighed and decided that it wouldn't be good to keep her vision or whatever it was a secret any more.

Her friends stared at her for a long time with out saying any thing after Kagome had told them everything. "Is that what happened when you passed out three days ago?" Kagome nodded a yes.

"Well that settles it." Inuyasha said standing up and grabbing Kagome's bag.

"Settles what Inuyasha?" Kagome asked looking up at the hanyou.

"I think you should go home and get some rest, also you'll be safer over there." Inuyasha said in a 'I won't take no for an answer ' way. Kagome agreed and rolled up her sleeping bag.

"Good." Inuyasha said as he indicated that Kagome should get onto his back. With everything all settled and Miroku and Sango ready to go on Kirara with Shippou sitting on Kagome's shoulder the group took off to wards the village.

"Kagome I think you should take at least a week before coming back here to the Sengoku Jidai." Inuyasha told her sternly.

"Nani? Inuyasha are you feeling alright?" Kagome said in mock surprise.

"Shut up." Inuyasha said kindly.

It was about midday when the group got to the well. Inuyasha grabbed Kagome by the arm and looked into her eyes. "I'm going with you to make sure that you get into bed and rest for a while." Kagome didn't argue with that she didn't feel like it, she just nodded and jumped down the well.

"Don't get too frisky." Miroku said to Inuyasha right before he jumped down the well. Inuyasha turned and glared at Miroku, and Sango smacked him on the head with Hiraikotsu. Inuyasha nodded a thank you at Sango and jumped down the well himself. Inuyasha climbed out of the well and walked into the Higurashi's kitchen to see Kagome looking at a piece of paper.

"What's the matter Kagome?" He asked when he saw agome's sad face.

"My aunt who lives in Kyoto is very sick so momma, Sota and Jee-San when to visit her. They won't be back till next week."

"Well I can't just leave you here for a week alone." Inuyasha said looking at her, "So I'll stay here and protect you!" Inuyasha said decidedly.

"Will you?" Kagome said and couldn't help but smile, Inuyasha couldn't help but let his insides turn to butter, and his face turned red as a cherry. Kagome laughed at the expression on Inuyasha's face.

"I thin I'll make us some lunch, what do you think Inuyasha?" Kagome looked at him over her shoulder as she took out a sauce pan from the cupboard "Do you want Ramen?"

"Hell yes!" Inuyasha said happily. "I'll go look for your cat ok?" Inuyasha walked upstairs.

Kagome had just put the water on to boil when someone knocked on her door. "Coming!" Kagome called cheerfully.

"Kagome!" Three girls where at her front door wearing the same school clothes as she was.

"Rei-Chan Suika-Chan, Momo-Chan?" Kagome stared at her three friends who all hugged her at the same time.

"Your out of the hospital already?" Rei asked. She was just an inch shorter then Kagome with chin length hair and had it pulled back with a green head band.

"We heard you had a bad case of Bronchitis and was being kept in the isolation ward for close surveillance!" Momo piped in.

"And that you where so sick that you couldn't breathe without the help of oxygen!" Suika had to add in her two cents to the problem.

Kagome cursed her grandfather silently. "Well it wasn't as bad as the doctors had first thought it was so they sent me home to rest! But I'll be coming to school tomorrow!" Kagome laughed nervously as she put on hand behind her head. "Why don't you guys come in and sit down?"

"No we have to run we just stopped by to ask your mom how you where doing but instead here you are! But I don't think you should come to school tomorrow!" Suika gave a short bow and the three girls where about to leave when a loud crash came from upstairs. "What was that?!" Momo asked in a frightened tone.

"It was probably my cat!" Kagome said hastily as she pushed her friends out the door. "See you guys around!" She closed the door and ran up stairs and into Sota's room to see the bedside table knocked over the lamp on the floor and Inuyasha staring at the TV in Horror.

"Inuyasha what happened?" Kagome asked between gasps.

Inuyasha pointed a clawed finger at the TV as a man with a gun mowed down twenty people in less then a minuet.

"Oh." Kagome said as she stared at the TV then the remote lying on the floor.

"I see you stepped on the remote and accidentally turned on t he TV you got startled and backed up and knocked over the bedside table and the lamp." Kagome nodded and when to go turn off the TV when Inuyasha shouted.

"Don't go near it! That guy in that box thingy just killed all those people!"

"Don't be silly Inuyasha its not real." She then pressed the power button and screen went black. She then walked over to Inuyasha and offered him her hand to help him stand up off the floor, he took it gladly. Kagome bent down and picked the bedside table up and put the lamp back in its place.

"Did you find Buyo yet?" She asked Inuyasha who was staring in amazement at the TV.

"what kind of Magic did you use to thwart this youkai?" Kagome couldn't help but laugh and Inuyasha looked at her and asked "What's so funny?"

"I didn't use any magic and that's not a youkai!"

"Then what is it?"

"Here come with me." Kagome said and grabbed Inuyasha by the hand. They where about half way down the stairs, when Inuyasha said. "when are we going to eat Kagome I'm hungry." Kagome froze in her tracks then ran down the stairs at lightning speed. She flipped off the burner and took the pot and the Ramen off the stove.

"Whew just in time." She muttered her relief and put the ramen in two bowls. Inuyasha walked into the kitchen and looked at Kagome with a questioning look, when he saw the Ramen he forgot about asking Kagome what she was going to show him. "Great!" He said aloud as he attacked his food. Kagome ate hers as she watched Inuyasha dive into his food face first like a dog. After lunch Kagome slipped the dirty dishes in the dish washer and turned to Inuyasha.

"There Now let me show you the TV in the living room." Kagome then took Inuyasha by the hand again and pulled him into the living room.

"Kagome what's a TV?"

"You'll see." She replied. Kagome sat down on the couch and Inuyasha fallowed. "Ok I'm going to turn on the TV so don't go up to punch it or hit it ok?" Kagome said raising the remote.

"OK." Inuyasha said. Kagome pressed the power button and on came a soap opera. Inuyasha stared at the box.

"Wow how come those people are in that box? How do they all fit in their?"

"They're actors and they don't live in the box it's just a show."

"But how come we can watch them through this box?"

"There are certain buttons and signals going through the wiring of the TV producing moving pictures and sound." Kagome began but stopped when Inuyasha looked at her with a blank look. "Its good magic." Kagome sighed.

"Oh!" Inuyasha seemed to accept that. "They continued to watch the soap opera and Inuyasha watched as a guy finally told a girl that he loved her. Inuyasha made it a mental note to pick some flowers and make Kagome a special dinner with a lit candle in the middle of the table so that he can tell her of his love for her. "It worked for the guy on TV!" he thought. Kagome had fallen asleep halfway through the soap opera and Inuyasha decided that now was his chance to get everything ready. He slowly got up and walked into the kitchen. After looking though everything he decided that he should just make Ramen because it was the only thing he recognized. He then stared blankly at the stove "Let see Kagome moved these buttons and fire came out of this thing." Inuyasha moved the button to the front burner all the way on full blast and jumped back when fire spouted out at an alarming rate. It took him a second to turn down the flame. He walked over to the sink and looked in the mirror to see that his hair was a little singed. He then got a pot out of the cupboard and filled it with water and put it on the stove.

"Ok what did that guy on TV do again?" he asked himself then snapped his fingers. He walked outside and picked a few geraniums and a rose from Mrs. Higurashi's garden then walked in to the house to put the ramen in some bowls. It took him a while to figure out how to use the matches to light the candle but he finally read the instructions and was amazed to see the flame spring to life.

Inuyasha made sure that everything was in order before he went to go wake up Kagome. "This is perfect!" he smiled "It looks just like it did on TV!" He walked into the living room feeling quite proud of himself. He walked up to where Kagome lay sleeping soundly. "She looks like an angel when she sleeps." Inuyasha sighed "It would be a dream come true to wake up and see that face sleeping next to me." "Erp." "Did I just think that?!" Inuyasha could feel his face begin to go red. "Kagome?" He shook her gently "Kagome wake up!"

"What's the matter Inuyasha?" Kagome opened her eyes sleepily.

"Come on dinner will get cold." He said bringing her to her feet and pulling her into the kitchen.

"Dinner?" She looked at him then turned her attention to the table. "Wow Inuyasha this is great! You made this and lit the candles and everything." Kagome was looking the table over while Inuyasha pulled out her chair the way he saw the guy on TV do.

"Take a seat." Inuyasha ordered and took two bowls of Ramen off the kitchen counter and placed one in front of Kagome and one on the other side of the table for himself. Kagome stared at the noodles in front of her trying not to laugh. "Only Inuyasha would serve Ramen after making everything look so fancy, I think he was copying the guy on that stupid soap opera."

"Is something wrong Kagome?" Inuyasha looked worriedly at her "Did I do something wrong?"

"Oh no!" Kagome said quickly "Its just I'm not used to getting uh…fancy dinners…heh." She picked her chopsticks and ate some Ramen so she didn't look impolite. Inuyasha breathed a sigh of relief. "For a second there I thought I had done something wrong…but all is going according to plan! When she's done eating I'll just do what that guy on that box thingy did and take Kagome by the hand and tell her of my feelings! Its fool proof. Well that's at least what that guy said." Inuyasha thought as he and Kagome ate in silence. He had just finished eating when he saw Kagome start collection her bowl to take it over to the sink. "Kagome." Inuyasha said to stop her from getting up.

"Hai Inuyasha?" Kagome looked at him her blue eyes glowing in the candle light she smiled at Inuyasha who could feel his face going quite red.

"Uh…Did…you like the dinner?" he stammered. " I've got to collect my nerves."

"It was fantastic Inuyasha." Kagome couldn't help but feel that Inuyasha wanted to tell her something so she sat down again and looked at Inuyasha.

"That's good…Kagome?"

"Hai?"

"I need to tell you something important."

"Hai what is it Inuyasha?"

"I've been planning to….to talk to you about this…uh …these feelings I have and…" Kagome stared at Inuyasha butterflies going crazy in her stomach "Is he going to say what I've always dreamed of him saying to me?"

"Kagome…."

"Hai?"

"you like me don't you?" Inuyasha mentally slapped himself "Great going stupid! At this rate it'll be midnight before I have the guts to say anything to her."

"Hai of course I do." Kagome smiled feeling a little disappointed. "So he was worried that I didn't like him that was the feelings he needed to discuss with me?"

"I like you to Kagome I like you a lot…" Inuyasha felt like he had just swallowed pins. "Here goes everything!"

"Kagome I lo…" *ring*

"Hold on Inuyasha I have to get that." Kagome said as she got up and cursed the phone. *ring* "oh would you shut up?" she thought bitterly "you've caused enough trouble as it is.!"

"Hello?" Kagome picked up the phone but no one answered but hung up immediately. Kagome walked away pissed at who ever it was that had just called. Kagome was about to walk in the kitchen when she heard Inuyasha mumbling to himself

"I have to tell her out right" she heard him say. "I have to say Kagome I love you." Kagome felt tears of joy run down her face she wanted nothing more then to run over to Inuyasha and hug him. She leaned against the wall and looked at the ceiling smiling brightly. She closed her eyes and whispered "I love you too Inuyasha."

"You do?" Kagome was so startled the she fell over and landed painfully on the floor.

"Inuyasha!" She said looking extremely embarrassed.

"Are you alright Kagome?" Inuyasha bent down and looked at her elbow. "Kagome you're bleeding. It's my fault… gomen ne nasia"

"No Inuyasha it's not your fault."

"I love you too Kagome." He looked in her bluish gray eyes and took her by the hands.

"I know Inuyasha." Kagome said and smiled at him with everything her love could muster. "Kagome…" Inuyasha began but he closed his eyes as did Kagome and they slowly let their lips meet.

Their lips shyly met and Kagome nervously put her arms around Inuyasha's neck. Inuyasha wrapped Kagome in his arms. He was kneeling down in front of Kagome who was still sitting on the floor. Slowly Inuyasha let his tongue touch Kagome's lips begging for entry. Kagome slowly parted her lips allowing Inuyasha to explore her mouth. Inuyasha's tongue coaxed Kagome's into a friendly battle, before letting her explore his mouth. They slowly moved into a more comfortable position on the floor. Inuyasha lay on top of Kagome and licked her lips passionately.
