Kagome covered her eyes as the bright morning sun shone brightly into her room. She sat up and closed her eyes trying to let them get used to the light. Kagome brought her knees up to her chest and hugged them close. "I wonder was everything that happened last night just a dream? Did Inuyasha actually say he loved me?" Kagome stared at her desk. "I have to believe he did, it was too real it must have happened. I'm so happy that I don't have to keep my emotions locked up anymore." The door opened and Inuyasha popped his head in the door.

"You sleep awfully late in this time. I don't know how to make breakfast so can you hurry up and help?" Kagome stared at Inuyasha. "Inuyasha has never been this nice usually the first thing I hear in the morning is wake up wench. I'm glad."

"Alright." She smiled brightly at Inuyasha who closed the door again. "I wonder if I should take Inuyasha into town?" Kagome could just imagine the trouble he'd cause. Images of him smashing up cars and trying to protect her from the electronic cross walk danced across her mind. "That's probably the worst idea I've had yet." She sighed as she threw the covers off and walked sleepily to her closet. She felt even more exasperated when she noticed that all her school uniforms where in the wash. She finally decided to wear a dark blue long-sleeved shirt and a black skirt with black knee high socks and a pair of loafers. Kagome tied a small white scarf around her neck and quickly ran a comb through her hair.

Inuyasha opened the door and stood behind her. "How much fucking time does it take you to get ready?!" Kagome glared at him and slammed her comb down on her dresser. "Gomen ne. I'm just really hungry." Inuyasha stammered.

"Patience is a virtue Inuyasha." Kagome walked down the stairs with Inuyasha at her heals "oh what's that saying?" Kagome looked at Inuyasha who shrugged, "Oh yeah." Kagome snapped her fingers. "Good things come to those who wait. You should fallow that next time you loose your temper." Kagome walked into the kitchen and looked in the fridge "all that's left is some pancake mix looks like I'm going to have to go into town." She looked at Inuyasha "what am I going to do with you?" She grabbed the pancake mix and put on the skillet.

"What's this?" Inuyasha wrinkled his nose at the funny looking brown mixture. "It'll be good just wait," Kagome said in her no nonsense sort of tone she usually used with Sota.

A few minuets later Kagome Piled three pancakes on Inuyasha's plate. "Here put some syrup on it." Kagome slid the bottle to Inuyasha who looked at it warily. He picked up his fork and jabbed one of the flat round things. He let out a yelp of surprise and he leapt back. "Kagome did you see that? Did you? It moved that things alive!"

Kagome could feel her patience running thin. "STOP PLAYING AROUND AND EAT YOUR FOOD!" She stuffed a large portion of food in her mouth absolutely pissed although she wasn't sure why. Inuyasha sat back at the table and ate the pancakes keeping an eye on Kagome.

"So you have to go into town?" Inuyasha asked as he put his dish in the dishwasher. Kagome nodded as she looked through a jar which contained the money used to buy groceries. "Do you think I can go?" Inuyasha looked at Kagome giving his best puppy face. Kagome sighed and nodded her head. "On one condition" She raised a finger in the air "don't try and destroy any thing." Inuyasha raised an eyebrow at Kagome but agreed.

"Alright you wait here." Kagome walked upstairs and into the hall closet and pulled out an old box. Kagome ran her hand slowly over the top before opening it. She pulled out a black shirt and a pair of black pants. "Father never liked any other color" she whispered sadly." I hope these fit." Kagome walked back down again and handed the clothes to Inuyasha.

"What are these?" Inuyasha looked at the clothes.

"You need to wear these in town."

"What's wrong with my clothes?"

"You don't want to attract unwanted attention do you?"

"You act as though there aren't any youkai in this time."

"I've never seen one and neither has anyone else. So please just put those on." Inuyasha walked into the bathroom and after some difficulty put on the clothes but had to have Kagome help him with the buttons and the zippers. He couldn't help but grin when Kagome had to zip up his pants, some kind of underlying joy rose in him to have her hands that close to him.

"Know what will we do about your ears?" Kagome looked at them her hand on her chin.

Kagome looked in the living room and found Sota's panther's hat, Kagome handed it to Inuyasha "Put this on you head."

Inuyasha scratched his head. "It's annoying I don't like it." He pulled the hat off and put two holes in the front of the cap and placed it back on again his ears poking through the holes. "There that's better." Kagome looked Inuyasha over making sure that everything was in order she placed a pair of sunglasses over his eyes. "Alright now we're set."

Kagome walked over and opened the front door startled to see an old lady her finger just over the door bell.

"Grandma-ma?!" Kagome covered her mouth startled. "Come in come in it's so nice to see you again. I didn't know you were coming."

"That's alright dear. I just was in the neighborhood and I decided to drop by for a visit." The old lady chuckled as Kagome led her into the living room. "It's a lovely day isn't it?" Kagome nodded.

"Quite lovely I hope I didn't catch you at a bad time?"

"No not at all grandma-ma." Kagome's grandmother smiled at her granddaughter and turned her head to look at Inuyasha as he walked into the living room. "Who's this handsome young man?"

Kagome stood up and put her hands on Inuyasha's shoulders. "This is Inuyasha grandma-ma."

"It's nice to meat you Inuyasha." The old lady bowed her head.

"It's er…nice to meat you too obaa-san."

"You can call me Ms. Higurashi."

"Yes Ms. Higurashi."

Ms. Higurashi adjusted her glasses and looked at her granddaughter and Inuyasha. "Is he you boyfriend Kagome?" Kagome blushed slightly.

"Inuyasha would you mind fetching us some tea?" Inuyasha walked into the kitchen.

"He's very handsome Kagome." Ms. Higurashi smiled as Kagome's blush deepened. "You are going to keep him aren't you? He seems to be a good man a fine catch for a girl like you."

"Grandma-ma." Kagome flapped her hand at her grandmother "It's not like that at all."

"Why shouldn't it be? He seems like the perfect person to father my great grandchildren."

"Eh?!" Kagome turned beat red.

"Don't give me any of that attitude I want great grandchildren before I get too old." Inuyasha walked back into the living room with three cups of green tea. Ms. Higurashi took a sip and put her cup down on a coaster. "He even knows how to make a good cup of tea!"

"I think I'll go get us some pastries I noticed you brought some grandma-ma." Kagome excused herself and rushed into the kitchen. "MY gods what is grandma-ma up to? She sure knows how to embarrass me." Kagome put her hand to her heart and breathed a sigh of relief "being with her when she's like this is bad for the soul" Kagome muttered as she pulled out a few dumplings.

"Kagome is a good girl." Ms. Higurashi bragged to Inuyasha between sips of tea. "Tell me what is your relationship with my granddaughter?"

Inuyasha blushed but didn't look the old lady directly in the eyes. "Hmm I see. Do you love her?" Inuyasha blushed a little more.

"Well I think you and her are perfect for each other." Inuyasha snapped his head up and looked at the lady in front of him.

"I'm serious you'd be perfect to father my great grandchildren."

"Nani?!" Inuyasha stared at the woman in front of him his eyes wide open. "What do you mean?!" Inuyasha started to stammer.

"What I'm saying is that you better get in gear and start fathering me some great grandchildren."

"Grandma-ma!" Kagome had walked into the living room.

"Ah you brought the pastries!"

"A little late I'm afraid I have an appointment and I must be leaving." Ms. Higurashi got up off the couch and picked up her handbag.

"Next time I see you two you better be ready to supply me with at least one great grandchild!" She looked pleased at the looks on Kagome and Inuyasha's faces.

The old lady waved goodbye to the two and walked down the shrine steps down to the road below.

"Kagome who was that crazy old hag?" Inuyasha was still fazed.

"That was Higurashi obaa-san" Kagome looked equally frazzled.

"Was she serious?

"About what?"

"Supplying her with great grand chi…children."

"yes."

"how can you tell?"

"That was almost the same lecture that she gave my mother and father about only having one child."

"oh." Inuyasha looked at Kagome through the corner of his eye. "Do you ever wanna…"

"Wanna what Inuyasha?" Kagome looked at him slyly.

"I dunno become…become."

"Nani?"

"mates." Inuyasha whispered turning crimson.

"Depends on if you wanna." Kagome was about the same shade of red.

"Hai!" They both said. Inuyasha took Kagome's hands. "What about Koga?"

"What about Koga?" Kagome smiled at Inuyasha. "It's his own fault that he's to stubborn to realize that I don't love him."

"Arigato Kagome." Inuyasha brought Kagome into a tight embrace. "I think we should wait a while before fulfilling your grandmother's wishes."

Kagome laughed as she hugged Inuyasha back burying her face in his chest.
