Kagome ran down the stairs in search of her mother. Today was January 16; it was her birthday. Kagome's mom had told her last week that since it was her 16th birthday she could have her 1st youkai for a pet.

"Mom! Where are you?"

"In the living room honey." Came a voice from the front of the house. Kagome ran to the living room.

"Hey mom…so where's my present?" Kagome said looking around the room, her mom laughed.

"Happy birthday sweetie, here's one of your presents." She handed Kagome a wrapped up box. Kagome tore open the box, inside was $100 and a red silk dress. Kagome ran over to her mom and hugged her.

"Thanks mom I love it!" Kagome's mom smiled at her daughter.

"Your welcome, now your other present awaits for you in the kitchen." Kagome grinned hugged her mom again and ran to the kitchen.

Upon reaching the kitchen she was greeted by the sight of a youkai kneeled on the floor with his hands in front of him, there was a silver collar on the table next to him. Kagome walked up to him.

"This is so cool…stand please." The youkai got up.

`Dang he's tall and cute to.' Thought Kagome to herself.

"What's your name?"

"Whatever you wish to call me, mistress." Answered the demon.

"But what was your given name?"

"Sesshoumaru, mistress."

"Ok then that's what I'll call you." Kagome looked him over and noticed he had a white fluffy thing hanging over his shoulder.

`It looks so soft.' Kagome reached out and ran her fingers through it. `It is soft.' After a minute she noticed Sesshoumaru was purring.

"Are you a cat demon?"

"No mistress. I'm a inu youkai."

"Cool! I've always wanted a dog." Kagome finished looking him over and noticed the crescent moon on his head. "Your royalty?"

"Yes mistress, I'm Lord of the Western Lands." Kagome looked at him in shock.

"Mom you got me a royal youkai?!?" Kagome's mom came in the kitchen.

"Yes dear, you deserve nothing but the best so Kagome I got you the Lord of the Western Lands, the most powerful demon lord there is and if you choose to marry him you become royalty as well…well I've got some things to do see you later Kagome."

"Bye mom." After Kagome's mom closed the door Kagome turned back to her new pet.

"So I guess that's your tail…"

"Yes mistress it is my tail."

"Ok anyway I'm guess your tail is one of your pleasure spots?"

"No, it's my pleasurable spot…the base of my tail is one of my pleasure spots, mistress."

"Oh really…cool."

`This is supposed to be the most powerful miko of this era…maybe it's because of her innocence.' Thought Sesshoumaru.

Kagome looked at the silver collar on the table then picked it up.

"Do I need to put this on you?"

"No mistress, you are a powerful miko I can smell it so I will respect and obey you."

"Good I didn't want to put it on you away." Kagome once again picked up Sesshoumaru's tail and petted it. She smiled as Sesshoumaru started to purr. "Come let me show you to my room." Sesshoumaru followed his mistress; not that he had a choice since she was still holding on to his tail.

`I guess I'm her first youkai…so I'm her mothers first choice as her mate. She's been recognized as the most powerful miko so any pups we might have wouldn't be taken unless she wanted it that way.'

"Ok this is my room, mom said I could either have you sleep in the bed with me or you could turn into a small size of your demon form and sleep on some blankets in the corner." Kagome once again started petting his tail. "But I was thinking you could revert to your dog form and sleep on the bed with me?" She turned to look at him still petting his tail.

"Whatever pleases you mistress." Kagome groaned.

"Ok first of all you can call me Kagome when we are in this house unless I have guest. Second I want to know where you want to sleep." Kagome sighed.

"Yes…Kagome and I would rather sleep in the bed with you in this form, it is winter and my body heat will warm you more."

"Ok good reason…so what were you trained to do?" Kagome stopped petting his tail so he could focus better.

"Everything but mainly to protect and pleasure my master."

"…I was told even the females are taught to pleasure their masters as well…both sexes?" It came out more as a question than a statement.

"Yes that is so Lady Kagome." Kagome rolled her eyes.

"No lady just Kagome."

"But you should be shown respect at all times." Kagome sighed once again.

"Ok Lady Kagome but no `master' or `mistress' or `my lady's' understand me?"

"Yes Lady Kagome."

"Alright now you stay here I've got to get something." Sesshoumaru bowed in reply and she left the room.

Kagome walked down the stairs to the living room to pick up her dress and money to find a note where she had left them instead. The note was from her mom and had a piece of paper in it.

Kagome,

I put your money in your purse and hung the dress up in your room. The paper within this note is a document that states you have paid for another youkai pet of the middle level. Whatever youkai you choose can either sleep in your room with you and your other pet or in the room across the hall, happy pickings!

"This is so cool I get another pet!" She took the document and put it in her pocket. "Sesshoumaru!" Two seconds later Sesshoumaru was standing in front of her.

"You called Lady Kagome."

"Dang you move fast…anyway mom bought me another youkai but I get to choose this one but I don't exactly know how to get there so could you take me?"

"I am at your service so no I wouldn't mind taking you." They walked out the front door and he picked her up bridal style, a white cloud gathered at his feet and he flew off.

"You can fly?!?" Yelled an amazed Kagome.

"Yes I can Lady Kagome."

"I didn't think inu youkai could fly. This is so cool!"

"Lady Kagome may I ask that you not scream in my ears; youkai ears are very sensitive."

"Oh sorry, I'll try to remember that."

"Thank you milady." Kagome was to busy looking around her to notice his mistake.

`So she's getting another youkai if she gets a male that could mean competition…I hope she picks a girl.' Thought Sesshoumaru. They arrived at `Pet Market' 2 minutes later.

Kagome walked into the building with Sesshoumaru walking two steps behind her.

"Hello you here to buy or sell a youkai?" Asked the lady at the front desk. Kagome handed her the document that was in her note. "Oh your Kagome Highsari? (AN: yes I changed her last name I do this a lot in my FF so…) I'm Kitya…I'm honored to finally meet the High Power Miko." Kagome blushed.

"Hi…and I'm not that powerful."

"And so pure and innocent as well…well don't let me hold you up. The middle level youkai are on the second floor, someone there will show you around."

"Ok it was nice to meet you Kitya." Kagome smiled brightly at the lady.

"You too Lady Kagome." Kagome groaned as she walked up the stairs to the second floor.

"Something wrong Lady Kagome?" Asked Sesshoumaru.

"I hate all that formal stuff."

"Then I will go back to calling you mistress then it is not formal but still respectful." Kagome sighed for the third time today.

"Ok whatever." They reached the second floor and a man approached them.

"You buying or selling ma'am." Once again Kagome handed over the document. The man looked over it and gave it back to her.

"This way please, Ms. Highsari." They walked into a large but mostly empty room with four doors. "Now would you like a pleasure, maid or protector youkai?" As he said each one he pointed to a door. Kagome noticed he said nothing for the fourth door.

"What's behind that door?" Kagome asked turning to the man.

"Oh those are the youkai who were sent back or abandoned."

"Oh…well I want to see them." The man looked a little shocked.

"Ok but there isn't much to see there's only about six or seven of them." The man walked them to the door unlocked it and allowed them to walk in before him. He showed her 4 youkai's before one caught Kagome's interest. Sesshoumaru was told to stay at the door so he could not see if it was male or female and they were to far away for him to hear them.

"What's this one do?" Kagome asked the man.

"That one was a protector youkai but she wouldn't protect, she just stood there watching so then we decided maybe a pleasure youkai…once again sent back."

"So she has been trained for both jobs?"

"Yes though she is unwilling to do either but maybe you could get her to. She's very been bought by a miko before." At the word miko the youkai in question stood and turned around to look at the miko.

`It's the one that freed me unknowingly from Naraku! Now if she buys me then I will have a chance to repay her for ending my suffering.'

"She's beautiful…what kind of demon is she?"

"She's a wind demon."

"Cool I'll take her."

"Really?" Once again the man looked shocked.

`She said she wants me so shut up before she changes her mind.' Thought the demoness.

"Yes really." Answered Kagome. The man pulled a leash out of his pocket and a key. He unlocked the door and walked in the room.

"You better be good to this one demon she's the High Power Miko."

"I know." Hissed back the demoness. The man put the leash on her and led her out of the room. He headed the end of the leash to Kagome as she handed him the document. They all walked back to Sesshoumaru.

`Good she picked a female.' Thought Sesshoumaru.

"Come Ms. Highsari this way." They all walked out to the main room where they had meet the man. He asked Kagome to sign the document she gave him then he signed it himself then handed her a new document that basically stated who she bought and the date and time, the man had also signed this.

After all that was done Sesshoumaru flew all three of them back to Kagome's house with Sesshoumaru once again holding Kagome and the demoness on his left.

AN: Hi this will be a lemon story this is just leading up to it. There is a lemon in the next chapter actually more than one but I have to type it up so…the more reviews I get for this chapter the sooner I'll put up the new one, later.
