Third Chapter to Never Too Old

Kagome sighed as she left the library. She had stayed after school until it closed to make up her missing assignments. Knowing she wouldn't get any peace at home she went to the library. Either her brother would bug her about something or Inuyasha would come over.

She had missed a week of school because she had the flu. She had to learn the lessons she'd missed and then gather the assignments she missed. By the time she got all the assignments the school was closing. So walking down the street she went to the library. She couldn't wait until she graduated.

She called her mother first. Now she was on her way home. Shedidn't know how late it was until she stepped outside. The streetlights were already on and it was really dark. She shivered as she walked down the street. She hadn't expected to be out so late so she didn't bring a coat.

In the back of her mind she had a bad feeling. She shook her head of the feeling, dismissing it as just being a little scared of walking home alone in the dark. Kagome clutched the books to her chest as the feeling got stronger. She stopped walking when she saw the woods in front of her.

She would have to go through them to get home. Kagome took in a deep breath and started walking through the woods, keeping an eye out for any danger. After a while Kagome began to relax. `Maybe I'm being too paranoid.' Kagome thought.

She was about halfway out of the park when she heard a noise. `That definitely isn't my imagination.' Kagome thought. Someone behind her reached out and grabbed her. She struggled for a little while. She remembered something Inuyasha had taught her a while ago for fun.

She elbowed the person in the gut and stepped on his foot with the heel of her foot. She heard the guy grunt and fall down onto his knees. She didn't even turn around to look at him she just took off running.

Kagome heard footsteps behind her as she ran. Ducking behind some bushes she was able to hide from view. Her eyes were shut in fear of being caught. What was she going to do? She then remembered Inuyasha lived close by. It was late, maybe he was home. If he wasn't with her, he usually was.

No more noise could be heard and Kagome poked her head out. Seeing nothing she took off running towards Inuyasha's house. She had forgotten her books when she ducked behind the bushes. Kagome hadn't realized it because she was too busy trying to get away.

Kagome's luck got even better when it started to rain. She was a good five minutes away from Inuyasha's house. That didn't stop her, she kept running. Running through the bushes and trees gave her cuts on her arms and legs.

Finally arriving at his house she knocked on his door. She kept looking around to make sure she wasn't followed or anything. A minute later the door swung open. "Kagome?"

Kagome looked and saw Inuyasha with a confused look on his face. "Inuyasha!" Kagome yelled and ran into his arms. Inuyasha stumbled back a bit not expecting her to do that. He held her in his arms for a little while.

"What happened?" Inuyasha asked. She was pale, covered in cuts and bruises, and she was soaked.

Kagome shook her head in Inuyasha's chest. If she wasn't wet, he'd be able to feel her tears. Inuyasha reached his arm over her shoulder and shut the door. He picked her up and carried her upstairs to his room. He didn't want to stand in the hallway all night waiting for her to calm down.

Inuyasha sat down on his bed and brought Kagome in his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck as she cried. Inuyasha stroked her hair and whispered loving words in her ear. He was glad Sesshomaru wasn't home. He didn't need the distraction.

After a while Kagome calmed down. She wasn't shaking as much and she had stopped crying. Inuyasha grabbed her chin and looked her in the eyes. "Kagome, what happened?" Inuyasha asked, concerned.

"I was walking through the woods to get home, and someone grabbed me from behind." Kagome said. "I did that move you taught me a while ago and hid in some bushes. I ran here afterwards because I knew you were closer."

"What were you doing walking in the woods this late at night?" Inuyasha asked. He was trying not to show the anger in his voice at that moment. He didn't want her to cry again.

"I was walking home from the library. I had make up work to do." Kagome said.

"Did you see who it was?" Inuyasha asked.

"No, I ran as soon as he let go." Kagome said.

Inuyasha growled angrily at whomever did this to Kagome. His mate was upset and scared. If he could find that guy, he would rip him apart. Kagome could swear she saw his eyes turn red for a brief second.

Later that night Kagome fell asleep on Inuyasha's bed. They were lying down after a while. Inuyasha was still comforting her. Inuyasha reached over for the phone and called her mom.

He explained what happened and that she'd fallen asleep. Inuyasha informed her that Kagome was sleeping in the guestroom. Kagome's mom thanked him and hung up. Inuyasha wrapped his arms around Kagome. He could've lost her that night if she hadn't protected herself.

The next day Inuyasha's alarm woke the sleeping couple up. Inuyasha mumbled some curses and shut it off. He meant to turn it off last night but fell asleep. Kagome rubbed her eyes and sat up. "I'm still here?" Kagome asked.

"Where'd you think you'd be?" Inuyasha asked.

"At home." Kagome said.

"I called your mom and told her what happened. I told her you were sleeping in the guestroom." Inuyasha said.

"You don't have a guestroom." Kagome said.

"She doesn't know that. Would you rather me tell her you were sleeping in my bed with me?"

"No!" Kagome shouted.

Inuyasha chuckled lightly. "Do you feel better?" Inuyasha asked.

"A little." Kagome said. "Arigato for last night. Sorry for coming unexpectedly."

"Don't be sorry. I'd want you to come over." Inuyasha said and he kissed her forehead. "You should skip school today."

"I'll go. I need to do something to get my mind off of what happened." Kagome said.

"You could stay with me." Inuyasha smiled.

"I've missed enough school already." Kagome said.

Inuyasha frowned. "All right. I'll drive you home." He said.

"Arigato." Kagome said. She stepped up on her tiptoe and kissed him on the nose.

After school Kagome was walking home. She'd had such a bad day. Her books had gotten lost the preious night. She didn't even remember when she dropped them. Now she was going to have to pay for the books and redo the homework she was given.

Her mom had called the school and explained what happened. Kagome was given another week to finish the work she missed. "Kagome-chan!" Someone called out.

Kagome turned around to see Eri. She was one of her friends. Not one of her best friends like Sango, but a good one. "Hey Eri." Kagome said.

"Hey, Inuyasha gave this to me to give to you." Eri said handing her a note.

"How did you know who he was?" Kagome asked.

"He said so." Eri said.

"How did he know who you were?" Kagome asked.

"He asked if I knew you." Eri said.

"Oh." Kagome said. She was a little confused. "Arigato."

"I'll see you tomorrow." Eri said.

"Ja ne." Kagome said. She opened the note and read it. Inuyasha wanted to meet her behind the school. Kagome was a little confused. Why would he want to meet there? He didn't even go to school anymore.

Kagome walked towards the back of the school. She put the note in her backpack. Nothing was in the back of the school. "Kouga." Kagome said. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to see you." Kouga said. "I sent that note to Eri."

"Why?" Kagome asked. He pretended to be Inuyasha.

"I wanted to see you, and I knew you wouldn't have come here if I asked you myself." Kouga said.

Kouga was one of those persistent guys who wouldn't stop asking her out even though she was with Inuyasha. He always asked her out. Every time she rejected him. "I'm leaving." Kagome said.

"You can't leave." Kouga said. He ran up behind her and hugged her from behind. "I won't let that dog have you."

"Kouga let go!" Kagome yelled. She struggled to get out of his arms. She was starting to get scared. It was like a repeat of last night.

"Not until your mine." Kouga said. He pushed her down onto the ground and hovered above her. He leaned down and forced his lips on hers.

Kagome tried to get away but he held her arms down next to her head. She fought to keep the tears from coming. Crying would get her nowhere. Kouga forced his tongue into he mouth. He moved her arms from the side of her head to above so he could hold her arms in one hand.

Kouga's free hand roamed her body and stopped at the top of her school uniform. He clawed down the middle of her shirt and pushed it open. He was about to rid her of her bra when someone interrupted.

He was suddenly thrown off of Kagome. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Inuyasha yelled. His eyes bled red and he fought for control. He thought he'd pick Kagome up after school because of what happened last night.

When she didn't come out at the time she usually does he went looking for her. He finally sniffed her out. What made him run was when he smelt Kouga's dirty scent near Kagome's.

Inuyasha picked Kagome up. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Kagome held her blouse together and nodded. "I'm fine." She said.

"You're going to pay for this. You should know better than to take someone else's mate." Inuyasha said.

"She shouldn't be your mate. She should be mine. Mine to hold, mine to kiss, mine. She should bear my pups." Kouga said.

Inuyasha's control snapped when he heard that last comment. His eyes turned red, his claws grew longer and so did his fangs. A purple stripe under each eye appeared. Inuyasha growled and he set Kagome down.

Kouga backed up wondering what the hell had just happened. Inuyasha's scent and appearance had just changed. He no longer smelt like a hanyou but a youkai. He reeked of danger. Kouga could sense he was angry.

Inuyasha snarled and ran towards Kouga. He slashed at him and hit him, knocking him back a couple of feet. Kouga held his shoulder and stood up. He didn't even see Inuyasha move.

Kouga knew he wasn't going to win. He wouldn't win this fight or Kagome. "Fine, she's yours." Kouga muttered.

Inuyasha calmed down a little bit but didn't fully relax until Kouga left. He turned back towards Kagome. She had a confused look on her face. She'd never seen Inuyasha like this before. She'd heard about the transformations though.

Inuyasha had told her that if he was in danger or mad he would turn youkai. He wasn't sure if he'd hurt her or not though. He didn't know if his youkai blood would recognize her as his mate.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome whispered. She was trying not to anger him anymore.

Inuyasha recognized her as his mate and walked towards her. Kagome stood her ground. It wasn't good to look afraid especially when it's your mate. Inuyasha nuzzled her neck. He could smell the tears even though she wasn't crying.

Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck and cried. She didn't know what would've happened if Inuyasha hadn't shown up. Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her in order to calm her down. He didn't want her seen like this though. He picked her up and jumped to the top of the building.

He jumped from house to house until he found his own. No one was home so it would be easier to comfort her. He opened the door and walked to his room. He sat down on the bed and rubbed Kagome's back.

Kagome calmed down and eventually stopped crying. "Arigato Inuyasha." Kagome said.

Inuyasha leaned down and kissed her careful of his long fangs. He licked her lips in hopes that she would open. When she did he slipped his tongue into her mouth. He shivered when Kagome ran her tongue across his fangs.

She never thought that she would be doing this with a demon Inuyasha. She never thought she'd ever see the demon Inuyasha. He pushed her down onto the bed and he leaned over her. He pushed her shirt open since it was already ripped. He held her up so he could pull it off of her shoulders.

Once the shirt was gone he sliced through the middle of her bra and the straps at her shoulders, throwing it behind him. He kissed her neck all the way down to the valley of her breasts. His tongue swirled around her breast, teasing her before he took it in his mouth.

Kagome moaned and rubbed his ears wondering if he liked it as much as he did when he was a hanyou. Inuyasha purred, sending vibrations through his chest. Kagome could feel it against her and moaned even louder.

Inuyasha shredded his shirt as fast as he could and took her other breast into his mouth. His hand went to massaging the neglected breast while his other hand went to her skirt and sliced it open with his claw, throwing it behind him.

Inuyasha quickly unzipped his pants and kicked them off of his legs along with his boxers. He ripped the last barrier between them. Kagome's underwear was sent flying through the air.

Testing to see if Kagome was ready he slid a finger into her. He covered her mouth with his own to swallow the moan. Another finger was slid into her warmth as he began pumping in and out.

Seeing as how she was ready Inuyasha pulled his fingers from inside of her hearing the whimper coming from her. He grabbed her legs and quickly flipped her over on all fours. Kagome was curious as to what he was doing, he'd never done anything like this before. She felt so vulnerable.

Right now he was demon, a dog demon. They like to mate doggy style. Inuyasha crawled on his knees behind her and spread her legs apart getting her ready for his entry. Leaning down, he licked her back from bottom to top causing her to shiver with anticipation.

Positioning himself, he slowly entered from behind. Kagome became stiff as he pushed himself deeper. It didn't hurt as much as it felt uncomfortable. Once he was all the way inside he held still so she could get used to him. They'd never done it this way before and Inuyasha thought it would be best to take it slowly.

All thoughts changed when Kagome instinctively pushed her hips back towards him. He pulled out and slammed into her with a speed only youkai have. Kagome moaned and did it again setting a steady rhythm.

Inuyasha leaned over as he thrusted into her, kissing her neck and massaging her breast. He could hear her cries and moans as they continued. Eventually Kagome couldn't keep up with Inuyasha and stayed still letting him control everything.

After a while Kagome's arms grew tired and she couldn't hold herself up anymore. She collapsed onto her arms with her hips still in their original position. The movement caused them to sink even more into oblivion. The moans got louder and Inuyasha joined with some grunts and moans of his own.

They were both nearing completion as Inuyasha went even faster. Kagome's cries became louder and both of their bodies were covered in sweat. Leaning over her shoulder, Inuyasha bit her neck at the same time of her coming.

Kagome cried out screaming Inuyasha's name. He thrusted into her one more time before he felt her muscles clamp around him causing him to release as well. As both of them collected themselves the stripe on Inuyasha's cheeks faded along with his blood red eye color leaving them their natural amber. His fangs and claws retracted to their normal lengths.

Inuyasha pulled out of Kagome and collapsed beside her. Everything that had happened had just flashed through his head in a matter of seconds. He pulled Kagome close to him and kissed her. "Inuyasha." Kagome whispered. She stroked his cheek where the purple stripe had been.

"I love you." Inuyasha said.

"I love you too." Kagome said.

They both fell asleep.

That was a really long one-shot. Eight pages. Well I hope you liked it. It's kind of like a continuation type thing. I just got bored and ran out of ideas for one of my fics and decided to write this. Let me know what you think. Ja ne.
