Chapter 12: The blood of a miko and youkai

After a tiring game of 'tag', Jaken had Rin and Shippo in their beds. They were sleeping soundly, as was Jaken in his own chambers. Sango and Miroku had yet to awaken from their sleep, and were still peacefully in each other's embrace.

Sesshomaru laid Kagome gently onto her back, never breaking their kiss. Propping himself on his left elbow, he laid his hand on her hip. Pulling away slowely, he stared down into Kagome's eyes, taking in her blushed face.

"Kagome," he whispered. She nodded her head to show she was listening. "Will, you be my mate?" he asked, looking in another direction out of embarrassment. Kagome's eyes widened after taking in what he said, but her shock soon turned into joy as she whispered, "yes" into his ear.

Sesshomaru turned his gaze back to Kagome in utter disbelief, he was expecting her to tell him something along the lines of, 'not yet' but was happy to know that she accepted. Capturing her lips in a hungry kiss, he slid his right hand to untie her obie, pulling her kimono from her shoulders.

Breaking their kiss to grasp for air, Sesshomaru parted her kimono open as she removed his haori. Throwing the articles of clothing onto the floor, he took in Kagome's perfect form. Her flawless skin was creamy and smooth. Her breasts were hidden by an 'odd contraption,' but from her clevage her could tell they were perfect. Her long legs were finally shaped, and spread out on the bed before him. Sesshomaru inwardly groaned.

Growling playfully, he brought his lips to her neck, licking up to her ear and nibbling on the sensitive skin.

A shiver ran down her spine as she reached up to entangle her fingers in her hair, running them through his silver mane. Smiling against her skin, he trailed kisses along her jaw and down her neck.

Sesshomaru traced his fangs lightly over her neck, causing her to gasp and shiver once again. Kagome moved her hands up and down his back a few times before bringing them around and untying his sash. Sesshomaru instantly removed his pants, and brought his own hands up to her bra.

"What is the purpose of this contraption?" he whispered huskily into her ear. Kagome smiled nervously and sat up to reach her hands behind her back and unclasp it. After it was loose, Sesshomaru slid it from her arms, revealing her fully rounded breasts and rosy nipples.

He felt himself becoming harder by the second and was fighting to keep his control in check. Capturing her lips, he brought his hand up to cup her right breast. Kagome moaned into his mouth as he began to gently massage her breast. Smiling inwardly as it swelled even more with his touch.

Trailing hot kisses down her neck, he removed his hand from her breast, replacing it with his mouth. Kagome instantly arched her back, closing her eyes she whispered Sesshomaru's name helplessly.

Sucking lightly on her breast, trailed his hand down her stomach. When he reached his destination, he cupped her womanhood fully, enjoying the way she bucked against his hand immediately.

Kagome' s hand's fisted in Sesshomaru's hair as he continued with his delicious torture. Her breathing had quickened slightly as he brought her body to life.

Placing one last kiss on her nipple, Sesshomaru removed slowly slid her underwear down her shapely legs, tossing them to the floor. Now, for the first time, he gazed at her completely naked form, growling as he felt his control slipping further away.

Kagome blushed as she saw him starring at her, and instinctively brought her hands up to cover her chest from his view, only to be stopped as he grabbed hold of her wrists and placed her arms at her side.

"You," he started. "Are beautiful." Kagome blushed again and looked away. Sesshomaru chucked at her innocence, and traced her curves with his finger. When he reacjed her hip, he laid his hand flat and brought it back to her womanhood. Slippoing his finger past her folds, her watched as she bucked her hips, throwing her head back and closing her eyes.

Sesshomaru's name was fresh on Kagome's lips. Her young body craved for some kind of release as he began to pump his finger into her at a faster pace.

Sesshomaru could tell she was nearing her orgasm when her walls tightened around his finger and her hips began to rock as well. He removed his finger and covered her body with his own.

Kagome's eyes snapped open when he removed hit finger, but she relaxed when he placed his body above her own. Spreading her legs a bit, she reached her arms around his neck and pulled him down for a kiss.

Sesshomaru slid his tongue along her lip, plundering her mouth when she allowed him entrance. Kagome became frightened when she felt the head of his member against her opening. Sesshomaru felt her tense, and instantly broke their kiss.

"What's wrong?" he asked. Kagome's face flushed as she told him she was afraid. Sesshomaru whispered apologies in her ear before thrusting into her. Her eyes watered as a sharp pain ran through her body. Tears slowly slid from her eyes and trailed down the side of her face.

"Gomen," Sesshomaru whispered, licking the tears away. He stilled for a moment, giving her time to adjust to him. Kagome pulled him down and kissed him gently before nodding for him to continue.

Sesshomaru smirked and pulled out of her only to push back in. The feeling of being inside her, overwhelmed his senses and he knew that it wouldn't be long until he lost control. Qickening his pace, he smiled as he felt Kagome meeting each of his thrusts.

That was it, pink began to seep into his eyes as his pace quickened with every thrust, pushing himself deeper into Kagome each time.

Kagome moaned, occasionally whispering his name in pure ecstasy. She looked into his blood red eyes, and once again, felt the fire well up inside of her. Her face flushed as she arched her back.

"Se…sesshou!" she yelled as her orgasm hit.

"Ka…go…me!" Sesshomaru managed to get out as he came next, spilling his hot seed inside her, thrusting his fangs into the crook of her neck. Kagome's body pulsed, she felt her teeth tingle and a small voice inside her head told her to bite him back. She didn't understand it, she knew she couldn't mark him since she wasn't a youkai, but something told her otherwise.

Giving into her awkward instinct, she reached up and sank her fangs into his neck.

Removing his fangs from her neck, Kagome removed her own as he slid out of her and collapsed. Rolling onto his side he pulled her over as well. Sesshomaru's eyes widened when he was the frightened look on Kagome's face, but what really got him was that HIS blood her on HER FANGS!!!!

"Eto, Sesshou-kun, why do I have fangs and why did I bite you?" Kagome's voice wavered a bit when she saw Sesshomaru's awed expression. That's when she felt it, her ears were burning, and Sesshomaru's eyes suddenly widened.

Bringing her hand to touch her ears, they were pointed! Kagome gasped and sat up. Sesshomaru followed suit and walked behind her to a mirror in his room. Kagome stood there, fawning over herself. She looked like a youkai, and a beautiful one at that!

Kagome's black hair, that now looked dark blue in the light they were under, had grown to her hips. On the floor next to her was a fluffy, black/blue tail. Her breasts had grown a size larger and her fingernails had lengthened and changed to a shade of black. Her wrists, ankles, and waist held dark blue stripes.

Kagome brought her eyes back up to her face and noticed that her cheeks held two stripes and on her for head was the outline of a dark blue crescent moon. Starring into her eyes, she noticed that they had turned a darker shade of blue that matched her markings.

"You smell purely of youkai, Kagome." Sesshomaru said. Kagome gasped, how did she become a youkai? It made no sense to her……maybe Kaede could help.

Kagome picked up one of Sesshomaru's robes and placed it around her body, "I don't get it, I'm a youkai now?" she asked. Sesshomaru smiled and told her yes. But they were both completely dumbfounded as to why.

"But isn't that impossible? I would have purified myself though." She said. Sesshomaru shrugged and pulled her to him. Kagome reached her arms around him in a gentle embrace.

"This means you'll stay with me forever now that you're youkai, right koi?" Sesshomaru asked. Kagome's eyes widened, she had't realized that her life was lengthened as well. She immediately threw her arms around his neck and brought his face to hers in a passionate kiss.

Gasping for air, they broke apart. "Of course, but I should probably go to Kaede-baachan and ask her about what happened." Sesshomaru nodded, and lifted her into his arms.

"But for now, we sleep." He said, lying down with her in his arms, she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer. "I love you Sesshou-kun." Kagome whispered.

"I love you too, Kagome-koi." And with that they drifted to sleep.

Shippo and Rin raced to the kitchen to get something to eat. When they got there, they sat down and awaited the servants to bring them food.

"Good morning Sango-san and Miroku-san!" Rin yelled as Sango and Miroku approached. Shippo ran over and jumped in Sango's arms, wishing Miroku a good morning. Shippo stiffened and began to sniff Sango frantically.

"Shippo-chan, what is it?" Sango asked. Shippo just looked back and fourth between Sango and Miroku wide eyed.

"Yo..you m-m-mated….with him?" Shippo stammered. Sango stiffened and Miroku blushed. Sango let out a nervous laugh and followed Miroku to where he began to sit down, holding Shippo tighter.

Shippo, who had finally returned from his shocked state, jumped down fromm Sango and ran over to Rin who was now eating happily. Apparently the food came when no one was paying attention.

No one noticed when Kagome and Sesshomaru entered the room, they heard the whole thing with their heightened senses, although Kagome was still trying to get used to it, she did a fairly well job concentrating, and began to laugh at seeing Sango sitting up straight wioth a crimson face and wide eyes, shaking uncontrollably out of embarrassment.

Everyone looked over to see Sesshomaru. Kagome was now hiding behind him, she had no idea how her friends would take the new about her being an inu youkai. Shippo would be proud, Rin would be amazed at her beauty, as would Miroku, and Sango would be speechless.

Sesshomaru sighed and moved to the left, exposing a newly transformed Kagome. Everyone in the room gasped.

"Mama? You're youkai now?" Shippo asked, slowly walking towards her. Kagome smiled and nodded at Shippo, who jumped into her arms.

"Oka-san is beautiful!" Rin yelled, attaching herself to Kagome's waist, the turning to Sesshomaru and latching to his own waist yelling, "Gooud morning otou-san!" Sesshomaru sighed and patted Rin's head.

Miroku stood up next and walked towards Kagome. "Indeed, you are very beautiful Kagome-sama. But how did this happen, and when?" Kagome immediately blushed, she could feel her cheeks burning as she looked to Sesshomaru for help, who now a an eyebrow raised to show his curiousness of her answer.

Miroku saw the exchange and burst out laughing. "Okay, well I know when, but how?…..Or do I wanna know?" he asked slyly.

Kagome rolled her eyes, and looked to Sango who was slowly walking towards her. Kagome was about to say something to her when she ran to Kagome and hugged her tightly.

"Kagome, you are a beautiful, but what caused this transformation?" Sango asked.

"Well, Sango-chan I'm not sure, we're going to Kaede-baachan's later to find out why this happened." Kagome said.

"Mama, does this mean you'll be my mama forever?" a teary eyed Shippo asked. Kagome nooded and hugged him closer. That's when Shippo's frantic sniffing caught everyone's eye. Shippo immediately latched to Sesshomaru's shoulder.

"So does this mean you're my papa know since you guys mated?" Sesshomaru smirked at the look on kagome's face and shook his head.

"Hai, it does. And the heir to the western lands until I have an inu pup." Shippo smiled brightly and hugged Sesshomaru.

Souta chose this time to appear. "Kagome, does that mean he's my bro now?" Kagome laughed and nodded.

"Hey, before we start talking about pups, we need to get to Kaede-baachan and defeat Naraku okay?" Kagome said. Everyone nodded and decided that leaving now was the best idea.

Miroku, Sango, and Souta rode on the newly transformed Kilala. Ah and Un carried Rin and Shippo, while Sesshomaru and Kagome ran ahead of them.

Inuyasha reached the gates to Sesshomaru's castle and jumped over them quickly. Running up the dirt path he spotted a girl with long chestnut hair and hazel eyes. She was beautiful!

Inuyasha walked up to her and she quickly looked up from the garden.

"Is there anything I can help you with Inuyasha-sama?" she smiled brightly up at him, as if looking at him for the first time, he was very good looking. His silver hair flowing behind him, his soft golden eyes, staring into her own. She met him once, but it was just for a moment, she doubted he'd remember.

"Um, have you seen Kagome?" he finally asked. The girl shook her head and led him inside the castle, but not before turning around to look at him again.

"My name's Akki, by the way." She said. "And now that I think about it, Kagome-sama, Sesshomaru-sama, my cousin and his mate Sango left a while ago with the children." She said.

Inuyasha stood stunned. "Your cousin, Sango's mate! Who is your cousin Akki?" Inuyasha asked, afraid of the answer.

"Why, my cousin is Miroku." She said, as if there was nothing wrong wioth the situation. Which there reaaal wasn't, but Inuyasha was sort of like an older brother to Sango, that is until he hurt Kagome.

"That damn lech." He said. Akki was taken back by that comment.

"Why would you say that about Miroku?" she asked. "He's not a lecher." Inuyasha sweat dropped and asked if she knew where they went to and when Sango and Miroku hooked up.

"Well, they went to the village, and I was walking past their room last night, a bad idea really." Inuyasha nodded and asked her to accompany him and fill him in on the weeks past events, which she gladly complied to. Getting onto his back, they sped ogg in the direction of the village.

Sesshomaru and Kagome made it there first, of course, and walked to Kaede's hut hand in hand.

"Kagome-chan?" Kaede asked. Kagome nodded. "What happened to ye?" she questioned.

Kagome sat down with Sesshomaru across from Kaede and cleared her throat before beginning the story.

"Well ya see, Sesshou and I well we became, umm mates and I bit him and now I look like this." Kagome said. Kaede stood and went to read some scrolls.

"Aye, just as I thought." Kaede said.

"What is it?" Kagome asked, satning up. Walking towards Kaede she sniffed the air and knew that the others srrived just in time to find out what was the cause of her youkai transformation.

On cue, the others stepped in and sat down, waititng for Kaede to begin.

"The mating of a powerful youkai and a powerful miko can be very magical. When Sesshomaru tasted your blood, mixing it with his own, an un-noticeable power wave was sent into your body, Kagome, causing ye to crave your mate's blood. If ye had not bit him, ye would still be a normal miko, but now ye possess the power and life span of a youkai, and the pureness and power of a miko."

Kagome mouthed a silent oh as Kaede went on.

"The reason ye were not purified is simply because ye are already pure child. I am not very well educated in this form of transformation so that is all I have can say for now."

"Thanks you Kaede-baachan." Kagome said hugging her. Everyone else was silent for a moment, taking in the newfound information. Kagome walked back and sitting next to Sesshomaru, linking their arms together and resting her head on his shoulder. Sesshomaru rested his head on hers as the others filled Kaede in about everything that happened at the castle.

Sesshomaru tensed as a familiar scent came closer to where they were at and it was accompanied by Miroku's cousin, Akki.

Kagome glanced up as She felt Sesshomaru become tense. "What is it Sesshou-kun?" she asked. Sesshomaru stood up, bringing Kagome with him and growled when Inuyasha came into view.

"Kagome?" he asked, looking at Kagome strangely. 'She has her scent, but now she's youkai.' He thought, wondering what the hell happened when he was gone.

"Hai, Inuyasha, it's me." Kagome stepped forward glaring at Inuyasha. Souta came out of the hut next, immediately gripping onto Kagome.

"Kagome, I'm, I'm so sorry, I didn't meant to hurt you or Souta. I didn't realize what was going on with Kikyo. I knew what was happening but it felt like I was supposed to, like someone was making me." He tried to reason, Souta loosened his grip on Kagome.

"He really didn't seem like himself, Kags." Souta said. Kagome looked at her brother, and the back to Inuyasha, and sighed.

"What do you want Inuyasha? What happened to Kikyo?" At the mention of Kikyo, Inuyasha's scent became laced in sadness, so much that Kagome flinched and began to walk towards him. Sesshomaru growled, but Kagome looked at him and smiled, reassuring him that it would be okay.

Inuyasha ran forward and embraced Kagome, tears streaking his cheeks. That's when Kagome sensed it.

"Inuyasha, let me see your right arm." Inuyasha looked confused, but did as he was told. Kagome concentrated on his arm and all of a sudden, a jewel shard appeared, tainted by evil.

Kagome gasped picked the shard from the air, purifying it instantly. She looked up at him, then back to the shard and hugged him again, crying herself.

Sesshomaru watched the exchange, emotions ran through him like wild. Jealousy, fright, and most of all, longing. He was jealous of his brother for the way he held Kagome, and scared that Kagome would leave him for Inuyasha. It was true that inu youkai mated for life, but she was powerful enough to find away around it, even go through her well. But most of all, he longed for the love they shared, he thought he had it, but this display proved him wrong. He hoped that he was overreacting.

Kagome slowly pulled away from Inuyasha and told him he should talk to the others, and that Souta would accompany him. Akki, who had been standing there the whole time, went with Inuyasha into the hut to see everyone.

Sesshomaru had been so lost in his thoughts that he didn't realize the movements around him until two small arms wrapped around his waist and Kagome's head snuggled into his chest……..maybe he WAS overreacting, but now he was sure that he couldn't live without her.

"Naraku, Sessho-kun. Naraku controlled your brother." Sesshomaru tensed, then relaxed, placing his own arms around Kagome.

Kagome pulled back enough to look into Sesshomaru's eyes. Bringing his face down, he met her lips halfway in a loving kiss. They heard a gasp behind them, and pulled apart, turning around, they found themselves staring into Inuyasha's eyes.

"Ka….Kagome?" Inuyasha stuttered.
