Chapter 15: Dreams or reality

2 WEEKS LATER…………………

The shikon no tama was finally whole once again and Inuyasha keeps it with him wherever he goes. He was the reason they all got together, because he wanted the jewel. And even though Inuyasha said that he had no need for the damn thing, she gave it to him anyway. Now it is kept inside the inner kimono he always seems to be wearing.

Kagome had healed considerably in the past two weeks, she was feeling better then ever. Her daily routine consisted of being dragged around by Rin and Shippo, showing Souta more and more of the feudal era, making lunch, helping Kaede with the herbs, bathing, making dinner, and then finally going to bed with Sesshomaru. (need I say more for you to understand that statement…; )..)

Although she hadn't been in pain from battle injuries lately, there was something else. She new it was there, but couldn't quite place it. One morning she'd woke up terribly nauseous and grumpy, the next minute she was fine. And to make it worse, Sesshomaru had this gleam in his eyes lately, like he felt proud of something, but whenever she'd ask about it, he'd say she must have acquired brain damage in the battle. Inuyasha had been winking at her occasionally, even came over and started to rub her belly. What ever was going on, she didn't like not knowing what it was.

Inuyasha and Akki had grown considerably closer. Lately, they spent every moment together, walking, talking, sometimes Inuyasha even carried her on his back when she'd say she wanted to fly. He knew he liked her, but he was beginning to fall in love with her. It was a scary feeling at first, knowing that just like Kikyo, and Kagome, she could rip his heart out at any given moment, but he knew better then that, he knew she cared for him, but how deeply?

Kohaku and Rin seemed very fond of each other. They'd always walk off, and when they thought no one was watching, they'd hold hands. At first, Sesshomaru didn't like it, not at all, but when he remembered that the little girl was a human, he'd scolded himself for forgetting, and allowed them their space. He could tell they both liked each other, it wasn't that hard to figure out. By the looks on their faces, and the happiness radiating off them when they were together, it was hard to miss.

Sango thought it was absolutely adorable, the way Kohaku came home every day with a huge smile plastered on his cute face. She couldn't help but tease him. Miroku of course, attempted to give him lessons, that didn't turn out to well. Sango almost killed him and said that if Sesshomaru saw Kohaku even attempt to touch Rin's butt, she didn't want to even think about what he'd do, even with Kagome there.

Everyone knew that Sango was pregnant. She knew too, but she didn't want to believe it. If it were up to her, she would NOT carry anything around in her stomach for 9 months, her own flesh and blood or not. Plus, she would have to get fat! Kagome told her not to worry, but Sango never listened.

Miroku was proud, extremely proud even. He wanted a little boy, and Sango wasn't very happy when she found out that it was to pass along the male traits correctly. He was out cold for 3 hours after that one. Everyone except Sango found that funny.

Shippo had befriended some fox youkai a week ago. Kagome told him he was too young for a girlfriend, but he could still like someone of course. And he did. Akane was her name. She was a tad shorter then Shippo, straight red hair down to her middle back. Big green eyes, and a fluffy tail, Shippo claimed to be in love with her, but that happened a few times already, so no one was sure to believe him.

Sesshomaru and Kagome always had chats with Akane's parents. Her mom, Sakura, and Kagome seemed to become best friends right away, but her dad, Hewlett, did not get along with Sesshomaru. They constantly argued over one thing or another. Sometimes it would even come down to comparing their kits. Sesshomaru would put down Akane, and Hewlett would put down Shippou. Of course this was all stopped when the 'wives' returned from their activity, to retrieve their mates. They were never pleased upon arrival.

Kagome and Sakura constantly talked about having their children engaged, and simply playing it off like a bethroval, whereas the guys would threaten the others child, never a good out coming. Then, it happened, they finally agreed that since Shippou was older, that when Akane reached 15, the two children would become mates. Although Kagome was shocked at the ages, she soon remembered……youkai…..feudal era.

And of course, the two children were not to know. Sango knew of the agreement, and found it extremely cute. No body liked the pregnant form of Sango, she became girlish, moody, cheerful, pissed off, and most of the time it was Miroku who took the heat during her pissed off mood. But it would all be worth it in the end.

Kagome sat up, she had a long night's sleep, after dealing with the snake youkai trying to steal her last candy bar yesterday. The smallest things seemed to be setting her off, and she had no idea why. And what's even worse, she craved chocolate, although there was no well to get it for herself, she still craved it. And she had been getting slightly fatter lately, maybe it was from her being so lazy lately. Either way, she decided, she'd need to start going on daily runs to work it all off.

Kagome moved the covers off of herself, and stood up carefully, she couldn't have Sesshomaru knowing that she would be going out on her own, lately he had become more protective over her and she doubted that he'd let her go running at, she lifted her arm and sighed, 5:32 in the morning.

Slipping on her clothes quietly, she stepped out side and stalked out of the village until she was far enough to begin running without the chance of being caught. Sesshomaru told her that they would be staying in the village for about a month. She had no idea why, and he never said anything so she left it alone.

Miroku and Sango had already had a home. Thanks to Kagome, it came out a 3-bedroom log cabin, which is currently taking over the huts. She just hopped she wouldn't destroy the future. (lol) A crib was put in to the middle bedroom, between Sango and Miroku's, and Kohaku's, which were on opposite sides of the home.

Suddenly, she stopped running and bent over holding her stomach. Opening her mouth, she threw up, rolling her eyes, she went to find a spring. Dipping her hands in to the water, she put some in her hands and brought it to her mouth. Swishing it around a few times before spitting it in to nearby bushes and doing it again.

Once she felt her mouth was clean she stood up and growled. Now she felt perfectly fine. Thinking about it, her eyes widened noticeably. 'I've been eating more lately, throwing up after feeling perfectly fine, and getting fatter.' She thought, putting a hand to her stomach, she whispered, "I-I'm pregnant."

"That's right." Kagome turned around to come face to face with Sesshomaru. "That's why you don't go out by yourself. What if you got hurt and there was no one here to help you?" Kagome groaned and turned around, folding her arms over her chest, she pouted.

"Why couldn't you have told me and then maybe I would have stayed in this morning instead of leaving?" she asked. She felt his arms wrap around her waist, and she was pulled against him. Leaning her head back into his chest, she sighed and turned around in his arms, wrapping her own around his neck. Standing on her toes, she pulled him down and kissed him softly on his lips, feeling him react immediately.

Pulling her closer, he slid his tongue along her lips, plunging into her warm mouth. Kagome moaned into his mouth, only partially aware that she was being lowered to the ground.

Sliding his hands down her side, he gripped the bottom of her tank top and began lifting it up to reveal her smooth, creamy skin. Breaking their kiss, he slid her shirt over her head, watching as her hair fanned out around her. Kagome groaned when he grabbed her breast, massaging it through her bra. His other hand trailed down to untie her p.j. pants.

Kissing her again, his right arm, slipped under her back, unclasping her bra, while his left hand worked with removing her pants. Kagome took it upon herself to untie his outer kimono, pulling it over his shoulders, and throwing it down next to them, and doing the same to his inner kimono.

Trailing her fingers down his chest, she untied his sash, watching in satisfaction as he stood to rid himself of his pants. Moaning at the site of a naked Sesshomaru, (drools all over keyboard) she moaned as he covered her body with his own, trailing down her body to remove her panties.

Gripping the sides, he pulled the last article of clothing down her smooth legs, discarding them behind him. Sliding back up her body, he kissed her lips, placing himself at her opening, he smirked, and he would make her need him. Pushing in slightly, he pulled back out, and began to kiss her neck.

Sucking on her soft skin, he moved to his mark, and licked it tenderly, revealing in the feel of her shivering beneath him. Stroking her side, he brought his hand to her breast, feeling her arch as he began to massage it once again. Moving his lips from the mark, he brought his head down to suck on one of her hardened nipples. Kagome moaned, arching even further into him. Sesshomaru smirked, he could smell her arousal spike more and more with each passing second of torture he was giving her. He knew she couldn't wait much longer, but this was fun.

"Sess, what-are- sess!" Kagome yelled. "Onegai." Sesshomaru smirked. This is exactly the reaction he wanted. He lifted up to see Kagome's flushed face. Her eyes were closed and her head was against the ground, rolling back and fourth as she fought the urge to beg him. Sesshomaru kissed her softly, fascinated by the way she spread her legs further and held her to him. He chuckled into her mouth before positioning himself at her entrance and plunging inside of her warmth.

Sesshomaru started at a slow rhythm, then picked up the pace a little more every time Kagome would yell out for him. Kagome's eyes were closed as Sesshomaru created a world of paradise between the two of them. She rocked against him with a fury, holding him to her as she screamed his name.

He knew they would both cum soon, but he didn't want it to end so soon. Holding back his orgasm, he quickened his pace, growling as he felt her wet juices spill around him. With one final, hard thrust, he emptied himself inside her, yelling out her name as he pulled out of her and rolled to his side, bringing her with him as well.

Sesshomaru and Kagome laid down for another five minutes before deciding to get up and get dressed, then, walked back to Kaede's hut. Luckily for them, Souta, Shippo, and Kaede were still asleep. Slipping back onto the tatami, they lay down, snuggled together until everyone else awoke.

Kagome and Sesshomaru sprang back up at the same time and looked around. Rin was gone. Both of them stood up, and went back outside, following the unmistakable scent of Rin and Kohaku to the springs. When they got there, Sesshomaru was livid, and Kagome was in a state of 'awwe!'

Rin and Kohaku sat hand in hand on a rock, overlooking the spring with little fish swimming around. Kagome grabbed Sesshomaru and turned away before he could get the chance to go on a rampage. Once out of hearing distance, Kagome turned to him.

"What's so bad about Rin and Kohaku? I mean sure, Rin's eight and Kohaku's eleven, but that's only three years, and besides, they look like the really like each other. They're only human." Kagome made sure to emphasize the last part. Sesshomaru sighed and turned away, and Kagome truly understood the way Sesshomaru felt. Sesshomaru didn't want to loose Rin, not to Kohaku, and not to death. It wasn't that he didn't like their relationship, just what it meant. That she would end up leaving him sooner then he would like to admit.

Kagome hugged him tight, he understood why and wrapped his arms around her, listening to the children laugh and play off in the distance. He knew he had little time with Rin, and he would spend it wisely, making every day worthwhile. Sesshomaru sighed, lowering himself to the ground and pulling Kagome in to his lap. They sat together for at least 20 minutes before they heard Rin and Kohaku nearing them. Standing up, Sesshomaru picked up Kagome and jumped in to a tree, watching as the two children walked passed them hand in hand, without a single clue. After he was sure the kids wouldn't notice, Sesshomaru gracefully jumped to the ground and walked back to the village with Kagome, hand in hand.

Once back, they watched Rin and Kohaku hug and go their separate ways. Kagome immediately started boiling water as Sesshomaru went to hunt for meat to eat this morning for breakfast.

"Where were you my young apprentice?" Miroku asked pervertishly (sorry couldn't figure out how to spell that word and my spell check said no suggestions) when Kohaku came home from being out all morning. Kohaku blushed and walked past Miroku and into his own bedroom down the hall.

Miroku shook his head and walked back into his room with Sango.

Inuyasha woke up when he felt something on top of him begin to shift. He warily cracked an eye open to see Akki starring back at him. "Good morning." She whispered to him, kissing him lightly on his lips. Inuyasha grunted in response and sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Inuyasha sniffed the air and smiled.

"That smells good. Did Sesshomaru go hunting for Kagome again?" Akki nodded and stood up followed by Inuyasha. They walked out of the hut, and over to where Kagome and Sesshomaru were standing by a pot cooking over a fire.

"Good morning Inuyasha." Kagome said. He just nodded and wrapped his arm around Akki's waist, who blushed at the simple contact. Kagome smiled at the couple, they were so adorable together. One of them was always shy, no matter which one, it was cute the way one of them would blush while the other acted like it was the most normal thing to do, and sometimes the other way around.

Kagome figured they'd be mated by the end of the month if things kept up. The way they looked at each other, you could tell they were in love but neither had the guts to say it aloud. Kagome froze and ran to the woods followed by Akki. The guys who knew what was happening stayed behind.

"Are you okay Kagome?" Akki was instantly by her side, holding her hair back as she threw up. "Yeah Akki, just a little morning sickness."

"A little what?!" Akki yelled.

"You didn't know I was pregnant? That's weird, I figured everyone except me knew until this morning when I finally found out myself." Kagome looked at the shocked Akki and figured that only the youkai knew. But did that mean Shippo knew? That she would have to find out later. He had been smelling her lately like something weird had happened, but that's it. It never seemed to click what it was she figured.

"No, I don't think Sango, Miroku, or the children know either." Kagome nodded. She just hopped that Inu youkai pregnancies aren't as bad as a human's. If they were, or if they were worse, she figured no one would want to be around her for a very long time.

Once Kagome was better again, they walked back to the cooking area (sorry cant think of anything else to call it!!) and met up with Sango, Miroku, Kohaku, and Rin, who were all in their own little world. Every minute or so you would see either Rin or Kohaku move to get closer to each other Once they were close enough to touch, they laced their fingers together and listened as the adults chatted away about nothing impeticular.

"Are you okay Kagome? You look a little pale." Miroku said to his friend. Kagome sighed and looked down at her stomach, bringing her hand up to rub her belly. Miroku nodded and asked if she was sick. Sango's eyes widened as she looked at her friend and watched her shake her head no.

"If you're not sick, then why are you rubbing you bell-" It all seemed to click when Miroku threw his arms around her and yelled congratulations. Kagome smiled and waited for the rest of the group's reaction. All of a sudden, something ran from the hut and attached to Kagome's waist.

"You mean I'm gonna have another sibling okka-san?" Kagome smiled at Shippo and nodded. Shippo hugged her tighter and jumped down.

"I knew I smelled something different about you! Know I know why. So in 3 months, I get another sibling!" Shippo yelled. Kagome sweat dropped (anime style!!) And shook her head. But before she could get out the words '9 months' Sesshomaru came out of nowhere and cut in.

"Youkai tend to only take 3 months to fully develop. And if you were still human it would take 6 months." Kagome mouthed a silent 'o' before turning to look at him. He immediately took her in to his arms and held her.

After breakfast was done, Inuyasha found Kagome under a sakura tree about 2 miles from the village. He walked over and sat down next to her, pulling the shikon from his haori.

"Hi Inuyasha." She said.

"Kagome, look. Without you, I would never be where I am now. You showed me, that no matter what I am, I still have a place with you guys. Nothing can make me happier then I am right now. All I ever wanted was a home, happiness. And all I want know, is for what we all have now to never end.

"I have a home here, with Akki, I'm going to ask her to become my mate. There's nothing that this jewel can give me that I don't already have, besides selfish things, and I don't want to take the chance of losing all that I already have right here in front of me. So, please Kagome, this is your jewel. You were the one made to protect it, you are the one that needs to keep it."

Kagome sat up and hugged Inuyasha. "I've always loved you Inuyasha, you'll always have a place with me. And if this is truly what you want, I will guard the shik-"

"No Kagome," he said cutting her off. "Make a wish." Kagome smiled. She would make a wish. Not the kind of wish that would deem her impure mind you, but she would make a wish. Kagome closed her eyes, calling upon the jewel's power. Overtaken by a pink light, she breathed in a sharp breath of air.

'I wish for the happiness of those around me and for Kikyo's soul to finally be put to a peaceful rest. I just want my friends to be happy.' Kagome chanted inside her mind. Over and over she thought those words. Until she was sure the jewel would grant her wish. Saying it once aloud, she opened her eyes and watched the jewel glow.

Rising from her hair, the shikon shot into her breastbone, colliding with her skin. One more bright flash, and she was out, lying unconscious on the ground, guarded by a pink barrier.

KAGOME'S DREAM

Kagome's eyes snapped open to the haven around her. Green grass, tall trees, and flowers surrounded the bench she sat on. Something white glowed in front of her. She watched as the light dissipated, the figure of a beautiful girl stood there, smiling brightly at her.

"What's going on here? Where am I?" Kagome asked the figure. The girl only smiled and stepped closer.

"The transformation has begun." She said. "The wish you made caused all that's around you to change. Your friends shall forever gain their happiness. And you shall as well. For someone to make such a wish, something good shall befall upon them. For example, your happiness shall consist of the well. Now that the shikon has merged with your body, you have the power to re build that old well, and replace the magic in it.

"It will take a lot of energy from even you, but now that you have the power of Midoriko, it should be no problem at all. Just make sure you rest up."

Kagome felt herself falling back in to darkness as the voice faded. Suddenly, she sat up, opening her eyes to adjust to the light. She heard people gasp and realized that it was probably her friends. She felt Sesshomaru's arms wrap around her and instantly she leaned in to him.

Right away she was bombarded with questions as to what happened. Kaede was even trying to figure out why she radiating so much more power then before. But all Kagome could do was sit there in silence, not answering a single question that was thrown at her. Closing her eyes again, she went back to sleep, comfortable in Sesshomaru's arms.

The kids were ushered out by Kaede and Akki who went out to play with them. And Inuyasha stayed in the room with Sesshomaru and Kagome, talking with his elder brother. Miroku and Sango found this to be the best time to go back to their home for a while and have some time to themselves.

"What do you think Kagome-san wished for?" Miroku asked on the way back to the cabin.

I'm not sure, but I feel really weird." Miroku nodded, opening the door for her. When they walked in, Miroku quickly shut the door and led her to their bedroom. Walking inside and using the 'lock' that Kagome insisted would be necessary for the two. Miroku watched as Sango threw her sweater on the floor and laid down on their bed.

Miroku pushed her lightly on to her back, coming up above her, her kissed her. Gently at first, sliding his tongue across her lips. When he felt her open her mouth, he immediately took advantage and plundered her warmth, engaging in to a war for dominance.

He reached down and untied her obie, pulling her kimono apart, he slid her arms out and pulled the clothing out from under her and on to the ground.

Sango's hands quickly began to do their job, working to pull off the monks sash, she discarded on to the floor, and began working on his inner haori. Once that was gone, she untied his pants, watching as he stood up and slid them off.

He once again came back on top of her, crashing his lips down on her own, he ran his hands up and down her sides, elicting shivers from the exterminator. Sango ran her hands up and down his muscled stomach. Miroku's own hands came up to massage her breasts, making her moan and arch in to his hand.

Miroku's manhood throbbed with anticipation. He needed her so bad it hurt. Placing himself at her entrance, he plunged in to her warmth, hissing at the feeling of being inside her. Pulling back out, he pushed himself in again, and again. He thrusted harder and faster, the sound of Sango's voice calling his name encouraging him on.

She rocked in time with him, her fingers grabbing hold of his silky hair. Her head rolled around, it felt so good to be with him. Sango yelled out his name, her moans echoing throughout the room. Miroku wouldn't have it any other way then her being with him right now. And neither her.

Sango screamed out his name, indicating her orgasm as she lay underneath him, panting. Sango's orgasm sent him over the edge as his own orgasm hit like a wave of pleasure, washing over him with a fury. He emptied him self inside her before crashing down on top of her.

Kagome came to about an hour later, and told everyone of her wish and what the girl in her dream had told her. They were all stunned for the most part. Everyone was just glad that she was okay. She hadn't mentioned the part about the well yet, but she figured she'd tell Souta before anyone else. He'd been keeping to himself lately, sleeping outside under the starts, she hadn't seen him in two days, but he made her swear not to come looking for him and he's be back before she knew it, so she honored his request.
