The day in the jungle started out like any other...
"C'mon Guu, gimme back my shorts!" came the shriek of 12-year-old Haré. Guu stared down at him from the top of a tall tree. She uttered one word. "Why?" Haré growled up at her and yelled, "I need them, I'm supposed to go meet Hikori, Waji, Gupta, Marie, and Wegil today!" Guu closed her eyes. "Hmm I'll give them back, but I get to come along." Guu threw Haré his shorts and jumped from the tree. She started to walk away before Haré could object. He quickly pulled his shorts on and ran after her. "Hey wait hold on I..." Guu knocked him into a nearby tree and walked on. "Oww..." Haré mumbled as he slid down the tree. He jumped up and ran next to Guu. "Just don't eat anyone this time." He sighed. Guu smirked and chuckled quietly saying, "I don't know what you mean..."
"HAHAHAHA!!! THAT POKUTE LOOKED REALLY FUNNY!" came one of the loudest laughs in the jungle. Waji fell back as the pokute stumbled off. Hikori stifled a giggle, but failed and burst out laughing. "OH MY GOD IT DID!!" Gupta grumbled as the two friends laughed. "Hey will you two shut up for once?!" Hikori and Waji stared at Gupta and stayed quiet for three seconds before laughing out again. "GOOD ONE GUPTA!" Hikori said through a laugh. Gupta started arguing with them loudly causing Wegil to look up from his book. "Hey do you mind keeping it down? I'm trying to read this." Gupta glanced back at him. "But you say nothing of their laughter?" Wegil scratched his head "Well I'm kinda used to it, being around them alot and all." Gupta twitched and growled. "Damn it you two!" He walked away and sat back by a tree closing his eyes. Marie sat quietly by Wegil and stared up at the sky. "Wegil, when do you think Haré'll be here?" Wegil looked down at her and smiled. "Aww don't worry he'll be here soon." He rubbed the top of her head and gave her a warm smile. Marie smiled at him and gave him a hug.
Haré and Guu appeared through the bushes. Haré had a small scar on his face. He rubbed it gently. "Thanks a lot Guu." She smiled at him. "You're welcome." Hikori and Waji jumped over to them, laughing, "Haré and Guu! GOOD MORNING!!" They said in unison. Haré chuckled nervously and waved, "Good morning you two." Hikori knelt down and smiled at Guu. "Hey Guu." Guu held up her hand. "Yo." They did a complicated handshake and ended with thumbs up. Guu and Hikori laughed to themselves. Marie jumped up and ran to Haré. He blushed but smiled as they hugged. Marie kissed his cheek and smiled. "Good morning Haré!" She said happily. Haré's blushed deepened, but he smiled even wider. "Morning Marie." Guu came over to him and whispered after Marie let him go. "You like Marie...hehehe." Harè glared at her and yelled, "YEAH, SO?!" Everyone stared at him. Gupta blinked. "Oh hey Haré, hey Guu." Wegil closed his book and said, "Hello Guu, hello Harè." Guu waved, "Yo." Haré just stood there and blushed. Gupta and Wegil hopped up and told everyone to stand in a circle. "Alright guys, you all know how the chief's been warning everyone about how supposedly there's gonna be a war between us and the city?" Wegil asked everyone. They all nodded. He continued, "He's got everyone here training together in different groups, Gupta and I are to train with you all." Gupta took over, "So that means shut up when I say it." He glared at Waji and Hikori, who just answered back with smiles. "Ok everyone, let's move." They all started running after Wegil and Gupta.
Meanwhile in the city's main council building. "Are you sure that they won't be expecting anything?" asked a stout man at the end of a large table. The man at the head of the table chuckled. "They won't know anything, it'll be too late before they realize." Another figure, a lady, held up a gas bomb. "We'll hit them with more of these and then move in." The other figures agreed and started discussing strategies. All the while none of them suspected the dark figure listening in on them from outside.
