Aria picked up her head and looked around. She was in her room, that was for sure, but she felt so out of place. She stood up and turned around, wondering what was different. Her door creaked open and she turned her head, dropping into what she recognized as some sort of stance. She looked down and saw her cat Layla cock her head, then her fur raised and she backed away. Wondering what that was about, she realized she was still in that position.
“When did I learn that?” she asked herself, standing up and scratching her head. She finally gave up and walked to her kitchen, meaning to fix herself breakfast. She stood in front of her oven and began to fix some toast, then realized it was two in the morning. Bewildered at how she could wake up so early, she put up the bread and went back to her room. She laid down and looked at her ceiling, drifting off to sleep, her poor subconscious mind a prey to her past actions, inhabiting her head in the form of a dream, identities remaining as elusive as water trickling through cupped hands. She had reached the land of the shadows…

Some one ran along a paved pathway, rain pelting their head, fighting off strange creatures as they went to a hotel. When the person got in, they removed the hood they were wearing, and Aria noticed it was a girl. She walked down the hall, shaking herself dry, then opened one of the doors and looked inside. There was a bed in the middle of the room, and on it was a platinum blond teen boy, just staring off.
“Hey Ri--.” she said, plopping down on the bed beside him, completely oblivious to the fact that she couldn't say his name. Just then noticing she was there, he turned his head to face her, and saw her wave to him, smiling. He smiled back and leaned in close, pressing his lips against hers for a moment, and then returned the greeting. He scooted backwards until his back was resting against the headboard of the bed they were on, and then pulled her up to rest against him.
“Where's Nan--- and Ro--?” she asked, resting against his waist, turning her head to look into his perfect sea green eyes.
“Why do you want to know?” he asked with mock suspicion
“Because I miss her! She's like, my best friend!” she said pouting.
“Yeah, I know. I'm just messing with you. I love to see that face you make.” He said, leaning in close to kiss her pouting lips. When he pulled away, he smiled at her and then said
“Okay, okay. I'll tell you… on one condition.” looking down at her, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
“What is that condition?” the girl asked, snuggling closer to the body of the one she was held by so tenderly.
“You go to the beach with me.” He said, pulling her up into his lap and nuzzling his head into her hair.
“If I have to.” She sighed sarcastically, kissing his forehead and laying her head to rest against his. They sat like that for a while, and then she excused herself asking again where the people she was trying to find were.
“They're in the room next to us.” He replied, trying to hold on to her arm. She finally pulled away and promised she'd be right back. She walked out of the room they were in, and then went into the one next to it. She pushed open the door, stuck her head in and looked at the opened balcony door. She saw the couple she was looking for and sighed. How many times had her and her platinum angel been like that? She didn't think there was a number that high. But she still couldn't look away at the love she found. Even though nobodies shouldn't feel love, what she saw was the best imitation there was. The young girl was in the swimsuit she was wearing earlier while swimming with her other half and was in the boy's strong arms. She pushed him away and turned to see the other girl standing there. Their gazes met for a while, emerald against hazel, and then Aria said:
“Hey Nanina. Just came to say good night.” Nanina smiled and wiped a tear from her eye, and Aria sighed and walked out. Man, if she didn't know that Nanina was a nobody she would swear she had emotions. But, she didn't… but if she didn't, then how could she seem so emotional? It confused Aria to think about it so she stopped and smiled to herself and walked out of the room, leaving the confusing the couple behind. Out in the hallway, she opened her door and entered the room. She walked in, not seeing the boy anywhere, then pulled off her dress and began putting on a tee and some shorts. She pulled them on and lay down, but a few minutes later there was a knock on the door. She rolled her eyes and stood up. When she finally opened the door, she realized it was the boy.
“Haven't you bothered me enough in one day?” she asked, and he smiled and kissed her.
“Nope, sure haven't.” he said. This time she smiled and pulled him in. He was in just a pair of pants, and judging by the fact that he was soaking wet, he just got out of the shower. He pulled her up against him and leaned in and brushed his lips against hers, and she leaned into his embrace and returned the kiss. He pulled her over to the bed and lay down, gesturing for her to lay down with him. She crawled up beside him, and wrapped her arms around him, cuddling up against his wet, bare torso
“Why'd you want to go see Nan---?” he whispered, running his hand across her cheek, the girl's name being cut off again.
“Just wanted to check on her. She feels like my little sister, Y'know? I just want her to be safe.” She said, looking once more into his sea green eyes. He looked at her face and laughed, and she asked hat was so funny.
“If you didn't have hazel eyes I could of swore you were Nanina.” He said. Aria pouted and he laughed and kissed her again, and she laughed and laid her head against his chest, when all of a sudden, a girl cried out into the night.

Aria woke up with a start. Her alarm went off and she looked at it, thinking about the dream she had. That one girl with the dude with silver hair looked like her, but the one with the bright blond hair did to. Was either of them even supposed to be her? Probably not, but still… she felt like she had been there before, but how could she have been? It was just a dream she had. No biggie. She got up and got dressed for school, feeling like something was off. Why did the night before when she woke up seem like such a blur? And why did she feel so sore? She pondered these thoughts, walking towards her shower. She stripped to shower and noticed many cuts and bruises that didn't belong. She began wondering where she got them from, but then shrugged off the thought and began to shower. After getting dressed, she went out of her room and started getting her breakfast ready. She finished her breakfast and headed towards the bus stop to see her friend Kura was already there. She smiled and waved as she came up, then turned her head the other way, expecting someone else, but no one came. Kura asked what she was waiting for and she replied
“Oh… I just thought… some one else…” she said, but she was knocked upside her head by her best friend's umbrella.
“You dummy! We've been the only ones at this stop since we started going to high school, duh!!” Aria just looked at her friend and rolled her eyes, and then helped her up and got on the bus. Aria walked down the aisle, searching for a seat. She went about halfway down and picked a seat beside a guy with dark brown hair. He turned and looked at her, then cleared his throat.
“Huh?” she asked, turning her head to look at him. He stared at her, then her seat, and said
“You're sitting in my girlfriend's seat.” Aria looked at him with a look she had never used before. The boy looked mortified, and Aria used a voice that had hatred in every inch of her tone
“Your girlfriend can go burn.” Then turned around in her seat, smiling at how much fun she was gonna have that day at school.

Riku looked on as Aria came home from yet another day of school. These past few months after she had been back where apparently mildly entertaining, and Riku couldn't stand watching her with that other guy, so that night he was going to take her back. She was his. And no one was going to take her that easily. He left and began hopping across the roofs until he came to the boy's house. He opened the window, entering the house and pulling on his bandanna and pulling off his hood. He crawled, steadily as a cat, to the closet in the room, cutting the lamp wires as he went. He stepped in the closet and waited for about half an hour. The door opened and Riku tensed. He heard the boy call out his farewell to his parents. He came in and plopped on his bed, reaching over to turn on the light. He tried again, but nothing happened. He got up and cursed under his breath, then tried the other ones. From his little hideout, Riku chuckled softly. He looked through a crack in the wardrobe doors and saw the boy turn and reach for a little wooden sword, then drop into a fighting stance, telling him to come out. Obeying willingly, Riku came out of the wardrobe and pulled out his weapon, then gestured to his opponent's and whispered
“Pathetic.” And with one flick of his wrist, the sword burst into flames. He jumped up to the boy and threw him on the bed he jumped in the air and landed beside him, putting his weapon up to his throat. He leaned in real close and whispered in his ear.
“You know your little girlfriend, Aria? Yeah, she's mine, you hear? No one, especially a pathetic… light being like you, is gonna take her from me. She belongs to me and me alone, got it?” pressing the weapon closer to his throat. The boy whimpered and agreed. Riku smirked and got up. The boy sat up and asked who he was. Riku turned and one word escaped from his lips.
“Darkness.” Then, when the younger boy cocked his head, Riku clonked him over the head with the end of his weapon, causing him to slump unconscious on his bed. Riku smirked and climbed back out the window and opened a portal that led to his angel's house. He got there and waited for about fifteen minutes as he studied a sketch of Aria and Nanina, and started thinking. Nanina… she was an Oddball. Apparently, she was Aria's Nobody, but some how she didn't fuse back into her. Naminé said that they share a certain kind of love… they were such good friends, they were closer than sisters. And due to that their bodies wouldn't fuse because their hearts already had. Thinking about it made his head hurt too badly, so he let Naminé do all of the understanding. He was so lost in thought he didn't realize Aria was already in her nightdress and laying on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Taking that as his chance, Riku jumped down from the roof he was perched on top of and went up to her window. Before he knocked, he pulled out the sketchbook he stole from Naminé and looked at it again. It was full of sketches, but those sketches were all Arias' captive memories. Riku smiled as he thought about what he was about to do, then pulling up his hood, he knocked on the window of her room. When she finally opened it up, Riku leaned in and captured her lips in a kiss. Slightly shocked, she tried to resist, but when Riku reached in and pulled her face closer and held on tighter, Aria let him keep on. Riku broke away and climbed in the window, and kissed her again. Then he placed his hands on her hips and reached his head toward her neck and rested his head on her shoulder, remembering the night at the hotel room those months ago. He slowly picked her up and held her bridal style, and spun her around, hearing her giggle like he loved. He plopped down on her bed and rubbed his nose against hers, feeling it wrinkle as she smiled. He began kissing the side of her face, slowly sticking his hand up her dress. She pushed his hand away and asked:
“Rae?” A sigh and a kiss on the cheek was his first answer, but then he nuzzled his face in her blond-brown tresses and said very clearly “No.” Aria was so stunned; she didn't know what to do. But before she could do any thing, Riku opened a portal and carried her through it quicker than she could scream.
