Kingdom Hearts Fan Fiction ❯ A Sheep Story for a Sick Brownie ❯ Chapter 1

[ A - All Readers ]

“Morning Sora! Boy, you look sick. How about I tell you a story?” Without waiting for his reply, I launched into a fine retelling of a sheep story.

“So, this farmer owned a whole flock of sheep. They weren't really that special, except for one particular sheep. This sheep's wool coat was colored a sandy blonde for some reason. No one knew why it was that particular color, but it wasn't sick though,” I said with a grin. I stared at the sick brownie with a gleam in my eyes as I told him the rest of the story. “One day, the farmer decided to shear the blonde sheep's wool coat off. With his shearing scissors in his pocket, he walked slowly over to the sheep. Somehow, it knew what he wanted, and without a single pause or hesitation, it bolted. The farmer gave a shout and ran after the sheep.”

I took a deep breath before I continued my story. “In the end, he finally caught the sheep with the help of his two dogs. His red-furred dog had teased the blonde sheep to come toward the farmer, while his silver-furred dog ended up challenging the sheep to see who could reach the farmer first. The sheep had won, but only because the silver-furred dog had lagged behind to make sure the farmer caught the sheep. The farmer did catch the sheep and proceeded to shear the sheep's wool coat off. The sheep, knowing its inevitable fate, stayed still for it did not want to be accidentally hurt by those sharp scissors,” I said doing a scissor motion with my hand. “After some time had passed, the sheep's wool had been cut off and its true color was revealed to be a dark brown. The farmer was surprised to see that the sheep's personality had changed along with the color of its coat. Its nature turned out to be slightly childish and a bit of a goofball. Anyway, that's the story.”

I looked at Sora to see that he had fallen asleep with his head on the table. “Aw, you poor brownie! You're sicker than I thought,” I said sympathetically.

“I'm gonna beat you next time Riku,” Sora mumbled in his sleep as he pointed his finger in the air. His hand abruptly dropped though, when he went back into a deep sleep.

“Still a goofball though,” I said with a shrug before going over to the cabinet to get medicine for him. I sighed and asked, “Where are my dogs to help me with this sheep?”

The phone rang and Riku walked over to get it. “Hello?” <p>

“Come Riku! Here boy!”

Riku blinked before hanging up. He already told you, he didn't want to be referred to as a dog.
