Disclaimer- I own not the KH stuffies… >.>;; But I own Darren!!

A/n- So… My computer with my previous stories on it… died. I AM SO SORRY. But I got a new lap top and been thinking of things to post here. This is my first time inserting an original character into an anime or game, but w/e. RR&E! (for you noobs that means read, review and enjoy.)

The Hallway seemed empty as I trotted down it. I gripped tightly the yellow referral paper in my hand. The sound of my footsteps echo over the low murmurs of lectures from nearby rooms. Glancing at the floor, I remember my first day at this school, crowded, dark, and alone. I know why I am headed down this hallway, handed over and traded that’s why. I was in a bad way with some worse people, up until now.

I sigh just to hear some noise; the silence was killing me. I overhear a conversation in the room nearest me, “Axel, pay attention or get out!” The door is pushed open some more, followed by a red headed boy carrying his books into the hallway.
“Darren, what’s up?” I grunt loudly and turn away from the boy. “Darren!”
The boy dashes over to me, “You know that I didn’t turn you in right? The others did I-”
“But you didn’t try to stop them did you?” I interrupt, stopping to face him just outside the office.
“No but I… Don’t you trust me?”
I shake my head, “I did.”

He sighs in aggravation and crosses his arms as if in thought. “How can I make you trust me?” I shrug, half motioning to the office to end the conversation.
He gasps, “Here Darren, I’ll turn myself in as well, so you won’t get a really big punishment.”
I shrug again, “The only two people who didn’t do it, taking the rap, this’ll make headlines.” I walk to the office doors and place my hand on the knob.
“Your funeral.”
.~.

“Awful fishy, just the two of you pulling this off.” The principal, Ms. Clayian, discreetly and coolly mentions for Axel and I to “Rat” on the culprits.
I nod, “It was hard but we did it. Just us.” Not true. “We spent all night on it.” You mean they did.
Axel groans and flicks his wrist back and forth, “Yes we did it. What’s our punishment? Detention, ISS, OSS, Expulsion?” I half smile at Axels’ response.
“46 days of out-of-school suspension, 25 days of In-school suspension and 100 hours of work study.” Ms. Clayian states, obviously displeased with our secrecy.
I scratch the back of my ear, “Starting when?”

“You will finish out today then tomorrow starts the 46 days of OSS.” She types something down in her computer and picks up her phone. “Of course, your parents will be notified. You will come in once a week to get your assignments then leave. Is that clear?”
“Actually Ma’am?” Axel raises his hand, “I am emancipated from my parents so whatever number you call will be to me. So,” He stands up just as the bell rings for the start of sixth period, “Have a nice fuckin’ day.”
He grabs his book bag and heads for the door to her office. I gasp a little and quickly pick up my bag and grab two hall passes before exiting the office.

.~.~.

Axel warmly puts his arm around my shoulders. “I can’t believe I just did that.”
I smile and stick my right arm around his back. “Did what, walkout?”
“No turn myself in.”
“Oh”
Axel and I share the same sixth period, thus, we walk to the classroom together. When we get to the door, we unattach ourselves and walk in silently.

He sits in in his seat at the front of the room while I sit in the direct middle of the class. Apparently, our teacher is running late again. I take out a black notebook with a Blood stained moon as it’s only decal and set it on my desk. I flick a pencil out of my sleeve, using many months of practice, and start to scribble some words down on the paper. I write down some thoughts that have been crossing my mind and things that pop up there.

Sometime later, my teacher bursts through the door holding a huge stack of papers. “Sorry! The copier was slow.”
She ran to her desk, almost tripping over herself in the process. Ms. Hedson was always my favorite teacher. An office assistant came through the door silently, placing two small stacks of paper on Ms. Hedson’s desk. Axel and mine’s homework for the week. She reads the note with them, nodding at the assistant to leave.
“Axel, Darren, come up here please.” We stand in unison, taking our time to her desk.

“So… You did it?” I could hear the pain in her voice even before I looked in her eyes. I couldn’t look much longer; my feet suddenly became rather interesting.
“I-I’m sorry.” I say to her while Axel stays still, saying nothing.
She places her hand on my shoulder, “No Darren, it couldn’t of been you, or Axel, I know you two too well.”
I look up at her, “Ms. Hedson…”
“But you’re covering right? Taking the blame, smearing your rap sheets.” She hands Axel and I our stacks of paper. “I know you wouldn’t do this, please Darren, you’re my favorite student, turn the real culprits in, you have a future Darren.”
I take the papers and turn away from her. I walk past Axel, straight to my seat, sulking in guilt.

.~.~.~.

The bell rang and I stood, already rearing to go. I looked over at Axel still packing his un-organized backpack. I pull out my cell phone, reading the many texts I had from my mom. After reading them all silently I close my eyes, tears weaseling their way out anyway.
“What’s wrong?” I open my eyes to see Axel right next to me. I wipe my eyes, eyeliner coming off on my fingers.
“My mom kicked me out.”
He seems to understand with a nod. “What are you going to do now then?”

I push past him and into the hallway, blue lockers everywhere around me. I sniffle and walk briskly to mine, and open it slowly while speaking. “I’ll go home, get my things, then…”
Axel opens his locker next to mine, “Then what?”
“Then nothing.”
“But…” He leaves his sentence unfinished, a bad habit of his.
“Axel and Darren, what a lovely surprise.” I hear the slimy voice behind me, sending shivers up my spine. I turn to face the tall blonde boy there.
“Hello Tony.” I look over at Axel, a scowl on his face and I can almost swear I heard him growl.

“Ah, Axel.” Tony turns his sharp yellow eyes on the redhead. “You were a good asset to me; I almost feel sorrow losing you.”
He rubs his hand, far too skinny and almost scaly looking, on Axel’s cheek but his eyes finds mine. “And you Darren. If you have any value of your life you will not tell anyone about that night, even if you are out of the gang.”
Axel roughly brushes Tony’s hand off his face, “Everyone knows already Tony, how do you think Darren and I are suspended?”
Tony scoffed, “Don’t flatter yourself Axel. Nights are many and secluded, secret and unseen. You know not of the night I speak.” He steps closer to me, his breath on my ear.
“Isn’t that right, Darren?” His tongue flicks out to lick my ear. I nod silently, retreating into myself.

After a few more words, Tony walks away leaving Axel in a hot fury. “What was he talking about Darren?”
I ignore him while trying not to remember, Talking about Tony was like putting acid in my eyes.
“Darren listen to me!” I look at him, attempting to burn him to the ground with my eyes.
“What?!”
Axel took a step back, smart move. He puts up his hands, “I’m emancipated.”
I nod, rolling my eyes. “What of it?”
“I live by myself and I have a job.” I turn back to my locker, emptying it as he continues. “I don’t know what the government says about it but, do you… Perhaps want to stay with me for awhile?”
I drop the history book I held. I haven’t thought of that. I shift my body so I am facing Axel. “Axel, you are-” I jump to him, throwing my arms around him, “Amazing!”
I push off him and quickly pick up my history book. “If I’d known you were going to do that, I would have told you when Tony was here!” Axel smiles, his green eyes squinted nearly shut, and he flashes a peace sign to me. “I’ve got to go to the gym and get my stuff out of my PE locker; I’ll meet you at your car!” He turns and runs down a hallway adjacent to this one.

.~.~.~.~.

I shiver on my way to my car, looking around myself- observing. I glance around looking at the other teenagers gathered thoughtlessly around cars or walking in loud groups. My nerves controlled my thoughts, bringing back compressed memories. I willed them to stop but my legs got the message instead.

-

“Hey new kid!” The tall, blonde boy in my physics class wanders over to me after school. “
“I-its Darren.” I correct him lightly, stuttering from the cold.
”Oh, sorry. Want to hang out today?”
I glance at my car, “I have to pick up my little sister…” He pulls my hand, leading me to a truck far away from my car.
“It’s okay, I’m Tony, she’ll understand.”

-

I slap myself abruptly from the flashback, literally, receiving some stares from my fellow schoolmates. I glance around again before lurching forward, sprinting to my car. I unlock the door quickly and sit in my seat. My chest rises and falls rapidly, I close my eyes to calm myself.

-

“Tony where are we?” I ask when we pull up to a dark colored barn.
“Just wait.” He helps me out of the car and walks over to the barn, to unlock it I think. I look up at the sky; the sun was almost to the horizon, how long were we driving?
He comes back to me and takes my hand, leading me to the barn. “It’s your welcoming present; I’m going to welcome you into my… group. Trust me.”
He pushes the door open with his hip, “Trust me.”

-

I lay my head down on the steering wheel. “Stop, just stop.” I reach up and wipe my eyes. How many times with eyeliner come off on my hands today?
“I did trust you.” I punched the dashboard, hearing a light snap of some bone in my hand breaking. “I trusted you Tony!” I fold my injured hand into my huddled form. “Stop, just stop.”

-

“What are you doing Tony?” I ask when I hear the click of the lock behind me.
“Nothing to worry about Darren, just some precaution.” I squint in the darkness, attempting to see.
“Tony?”
“Right here.” He is suddenly behind me; I turn and see him shirtless there.
“Tony what are you…?”
He smirks, “Time for your one-in-a-kind initiation.”
My eyes widen, “Tony please, don’t.”
He just smiles wider a grabs my shoulders roughly. “Hold still,” He pushes me to the ground with enough force to bruise me, “Darren.”

-

“Darren, Darren?” I scream and flinch away from the voice saying my name. I slap weakly at the hands on my shoulders. I open my eyes, Axels’ red hair in my view instead of Tony’s Blonde.
“Axel.”
He looks frightened, “You’re crying, is something wrong? Are you hurt?”
I sniffle and shake him off me, buckling my seat belt. “Nothing Axel lets go.”
“Darren.” He buckles in but does not turn away from me. “Are you alright?”
“Yes.” I respond, quickly I think.
“Please don’t lie to me.” Axel turns himself, looking out the front window, his arms crossed.
“I’m not” I turn my blinker on when we get to my street. “Axel, honest, I’m fine.”
He turns away more, silent. “Come on Axel I’m fine.” I wince when I accidentally turn my hand wrong.
“Then why are you crying?”
I wipe my face with my good hand. “Really, I’m alright.”

.~.~.~.~.~.

I push open the front door of my house, silence greeting me. “Come on Ax, my room’s upstairs.” I walk over to my stairs, stepping on the first step lightly. It creaks faithfully as I put my full weight on it to walk up the rest.
Axel closely follows me like a hungry puppy I just fed. I turn at the top of the stairs to face him, the ‘Shh’ face shining through.
He nods and whispers, “Okay.” I step quickly into the hallway, forgetting the loose board in front of my mother’s room. It whines loudly and I reach back for Axels hand to lead him swiftly into my room.

I toss my green duffle bag on my bed from the closet and quickly start to fill it with clothes and things I need.
“Shampoo, deodorant, eyeliner…” I name off my list in my head, only half-aware of Axels presence.
“You sound like a girl. Don’t forget your tampons I don’t want you to bleed on my stuff!”
I turn toward him, “Jackas- Play station!” I dive next to him, uncovering a small black rectangular game system. “Almost forgot it.”

“Darren Christian Woolve! What are you doing in my house?”
I revolve around to my mother. “I was just getting some stuff, I’ll be out in a minute, Calm yourself.”
She scoffs loudly and flings her arm out in a histrionic way in front of her. “And who’s that? What your gay lover who supports all the shit you’ve done with your life as long as he gets what he wants from you?”
I crease my eyebrows, “Mom, this is Axel he’s my best-”
“Boyfriend. You’re right Mrs. Woolve, Darren has been a naughty boy and I’m taking him back to my place to punish him severely for it.” He picks up my duffle bag and pushes past my mom into the hallway, “I’ll be waiting in the car, honey.”
My mom looks astounded, “You’re gay?”
I mentally kick Axel in his family jewels. “Sure.” I bite my lip and shift my weight to my other foot. “I’ve got to go.” I grab the play station and head out the door and down the stairs.
“Darren really? Gay?”
I laugh mentally while crossing the room to the front door. “Yup, Axel and I are riding the homo express, straight to butt-ville. And I like it.” I wink at my mother and exit the house. I walk over to the car and climb in swiftly.
“I am going to murder you.”
