Kingdom Hearts: Supreme Adventure
By: DJ Rodriguez
(Author’s Notes: ^_^ Hi everyone. I know I’m quickly filling in all of the chapters up, but I hope to get some reviews nonetheless.
Darien: This story’s main pairing is going to be hanging one between the two beautiful princesses Ariel and Jasmine, over the Keyblade wielder Sora. Also, this story is going to put the full use of the true nature of Kingdom Hearts.
DJ: Hearts, like Ansem stated in the game, are unpredictable and powerful. When Sora and the two princesses finish this journey, they will understand the full meaning and power of the fabled kingdom. It won’t be easy, but then again… for Sora, nothing ever is.
Now, on with the fanfic!)
The Rising of Heart
The Falcon Peak was soaring fast and free in the vastness of space, even more impressive was that it was on autopilot. Sora was taking a small nap in the cockpit, his mind visiting memories from the past. The most recent memories caused him to shed some silent tears, which left a very faint trail on his face. After four and a half hours of flying, the craft started to slow down. The sudden decrease in speed and velocity caused Sora to stir from his slumber.
“Wha-?” he asked sleepily. He looked around and saw the view screen in front of him. It was the view of Atlantica! “All right! I made it!” He was about to disembark when he remembered that Donald was no longer with him. His magic was the reason that he, Goofy, and Sora transformed into sea creatures.
“Well, I guess its high time I do things on my own.” the young man said to himself. Concentrating on what magic he had left, and thanking to the higher ups that he learned from Merlin, Donald, and a little from Yen Sid, he slowly started to change. “Whoa! Better get down there before I change completely.” He hit the teleport button and the transforming hero vanished in a flash of light.
~Down in Atlantica~
Sora opened his eyes and saw that he was in the water. Checking to make sure he had done it right, he saw that his lower body resembled that of a dark blue dolphin’s bottom half. ‘I did it! I did it! I transformed on my own! And it looks to be just right.’ he said to himself. He swam around a few times to get the hang of swimming again, but he was a bit confused on where he was.
The young man turned around and saw that he was at the Sunken Ship area. It looked like the ship had been turned around the other way, but other then that it seemed that little had changed. “I hope King Triton and the others don’t mind the visit.” Sora said as he swam down from the ledge he was on. “I wonder if Ariel is still here? I bet she’s with Prince Eric as a human.”
As he swam away to go to the city, he failed to see a giant shark exiting from the ship. It was the same one he and the others tangled with before. The predator saw the merboy and was silently swimming towards him. However, it did not make it to its target. An inky fog surrounded it, and before it could make a sound it vanished in a flash of light. A creepy, light laugh echoed throughout the area before fading away.
Sora was swimming along nicely; glad not to be fighting Heartless now. He went into the city and started for the palace, but as he went that way he noticed that a lot of merpeople and sea life were staring and whispering. No doubt it was about him, but was it good or bad? A couple of teenage mermaids looked at him, whispered to one another and started to giggle. Sora really didn’t understand the female mind, so he let it go.
As he went towards the gates, he was stopped by two merguards. One was about to ask on who he was, when his partner saw him clearly and went wide-eyed. “Go on in, Master Sora. Sorry to hold you up here.” he stated while bowing low. His partner did the same when he saw Sora and both parted to let him through.
Now this got Sora big time. ‘Master Sora?! What’s that about?’ he asked himself as he swam towards the shining golden palace. He soon ran into Arista and Alana, two of the seven daughters of King Triton. The two girls gasped when they saw him and started to talk to one another as he went past them. “What is it with everyone today?” the naïve young man asked himself.
The merboy made his way to the Throne Room and went to King Triton who was on his throne. The other daughters of Triton, minus Ariel, were floating near their father when one of them gasped and said “Daddy, its Sora! He’s here!” All turned and the daughters parted slightly, allowing Triton to see Sora fully. They were all surprised to see the Keyblade wielder.
“Sora! Is that really you?” Triton inquired as he got off his throne and floated towards the merboy. Despite past events, he was still wary of Sora due to the legends about the Keyblade. Even though Sora proved to be responsible, the king did not like the idea of someone having a weapon that had the ability to bring either peace or destruction. The daughters knew Sora only by the stories told by both Ariel and their father.
“Yes, its me your Majesty.” Sora answered. The king inquired if he was here due to the Keyblade. “No sir. The Keyblade is gone for now. I’m here on… vacation.” Triton recognized the tone of Sora’s voice and saw the young man become a bit depressed.
“In any case, is Ariel still here? Or is she up on the surface world with Prince Eric?” he asked. Triton was about to answer when a voice called out “Daddy, what’s going on? The entire city is just buzzing with talk, everyone saying…” Triton looked behind him to see Ariel come in, and parted slightly so that she got a full view of Sora. He saw the surprise in his daughter’s eyes, and soon the surprise turned into joy.
“Sora!!” Ariel exclaimed before giving a burst of speed and swam into the merboy hard. She hugged him hard, and he hugged back in return although it wasn’t as hard as her. Both were laughing, glad to see each other again. Ariel’s sisters sported amused grins on their faces while Triton just had a patient smile on his. Sora and Ariel were glad to see each other again, as good friends should. Flounder and Sebastian wondered in and were very glad to see Sora too.
“Sora! You’re back!” the little yellow fish exclaimed happily before swimming over to them. “Haha! Its good to have you back in the sea with us, mon!” the crab added as he used his short claws to swim over to the merboy. Sora felt a little of his depression leave as his aquatic friends greeted him.
“Ariel.” Triton spoke up, getting her attention. “Sora has come saying that he wants to spend a few days here with us, a vacation as it may. Do you have any objection to this?” The old king knew her answer, but just wanted to hear her out. He hoped that Sora would be able to cheer Ariel up and temporarily forget about Eric.
“Of course not, Daddy!” Ariel answered before turning to Sora. “Sora, you can stay with us if you want. There’s an extra guest room set up near mine.” The merboy was very pleased to say the least. Staying in a wonderful ocean kingdom city along side a good friend was very welcoming to him.
“That would be great Ariel, thank you.” Sora stated. The redhaired beauty of the sea was filled with joy, very pleased to have her best friend stay with her and the others. “Come with me! There’s so much I want to ask you!” she said before dragging Sora away. Flounder swam to catch up with them, Sebastian hitching a ride on his tail fin.
King Triton chuckled lightly, seeing his daughter’s mood brighten considerably. “Now that Ariel is wearing a smile again, I think…” he was saying when he paused, turning his head slightly from side to side as if searching for something. His daughters noticed this and inquired on what was wrong. The mighty merman shook his head to clear it and answered that nothing was wrong. He was lying, of course.
‘What was that I felt? It was like… something was watching me. A being whose powers dwarf my own.’ he thought before leaving to his quarters. Something was up, that much the mermaids knew for sure.
~Near Ariel’s sanctuary~
Ariel was asking so many questions to Sora, about his life and also about his adventures. Sora still amazed at the curiosity that the redheaded mermaid possessed, but answered her questions as best he could and actually enjoyed telling her about his exploits. Flounder and Sebastian were really impressed on what they heard as well, especially when all heard about the part of Sora and his friends facing off against giant, unique Heartless.
“Sora, how did you manage to beat that Trickmaster Heartless you and the others saw in Wonderland?” Ariel asked. From what Sora told her, it was a magical, very weird place that would leave her head spinning. Sora explained that Donald and Goofy distracted it from the ground while he jumped up on the giant table and leapt at it to bash it in the head.
“Wow, Sora! You really like to live close to danger!” Flounder pointed out. The merboy chuckled and said that he was right. Ariel then asked “Sora, why is that you came here for a vacation? I’m kind of curious.” The young hero’s mood dropped considerably along with his head.
“I… kinda saw my two best friends together. I had to leave to clear my head, that’s all.” he told them softly. Ariel knew what he meant; he lost the one he loved to another. The redhead gave Sora a firm hug, which he accepted. The mermaid knew that there was more to it, but decided to leave it for later.
She released her hug and said “Sora, you’re very lucky to have adventures. Ones that really go out there. Myself, I have adventures too but they are nothing compared to yours. I want to experience what you did, seeing other places and making new friends.” Flounder and Sebastian sighed, knowing that Ariel’s adventurous spirit was as strong as ever.
“Believe me Ariel, I thought the adventures were never going to end. Few times I felt that I was going to search for my friends forever, a never-ending quest.” Sora admitted. ‘Just like when Rafiki compared it to the Circle of Life.’ Ariel showed a soft smile and floated closer to the young merboy.
“Sora, I think you were strong to keep on going. I think you are strong now for coming this far, and finishing what you started.” she whispered to him. Both stared into each other’s eyes for a few moments, each just finding the others eyes captivating. Both realized what they were doing and shook themselves out of it, looking away with a slight blush on their cheeks.
“So… um, can you tell me more about your travels?” Ariel asked. She didn’t know what got into her! She had long gazed into Prince Eric’s eyes and thought that no other could hold more captivating eyes then him. Just now, she thought the same of Sora’s eyes!
Sora was wondering the same thing, comparing Kairi’s eyes with Ariel’s. He coughed to clear his throat a little and continued on with his tellings of his adventures.
~At Destiny Islands~
Riku and Kairi were sitting on the edge of the beach, both very worried about Sora. Ever since he left, the two were just very crushed on his exodus. They didn’t get a wink of sleep and were both tired and concerned about Sora’s well being. The white-haired boy held his girlfriend close, who was shedding a few tears due to seeing Sora’s face before leaving.
“Hey, its okay Kairi. I’m sure Sora is alright, wherever he is.” Riku tried to assure the girl. Kairi was about to reply when something came zooming in from the sky. It was the Kingdom Gummi Ship! The vessel floated down over the waters, and coming out from the cockpit were Donald and Goofy. The two humans were surprised to see their old friends again, especially seeing them carrying their weapons.
“Riku, Kairi!” Donald exclaimed as he jumped from the ship and into the water. Goofy followed along, although his landing was more or less of a belly flop. The former Keyblade wielder of Darkness and his new girlfriend went over and helped them out of the water.
“Donald? Goofy? What are you two doing back here?” Riku inquired as he helped the duck up, while Kairi assisted Goofy. “Is King Mickey with you two?” the girl asked. Goofy said no, but Donald was the one who got things off.
“There’s big trouble brewing! King Mickey needs you two and Sora right away!” Donald exclaimed. Goofy looked around and noticed that Sora was not with them. “Say, where is Sora anyway? I thought he’d be with you two.” the long-eared dog said.
Riku stood straight up and said “He’s not here. Come on, we need to get to the castle right away.” He leapt up high into the Kingdom ship. Goofy and Donald were confused, and even more so when they saw the very sad look on Kairi’s face. “Kairi, what’s wrong?” Donald asked.
The teenage girl shook her head to clear it and answered “We’ll tell you all at the castle. Come on, we got to go.” She was pulled on board via tractor beam, thanks to her beau. Donald and Goofy were very worried about the situation now, but decided that it was best to listen at Disney Castle. The two were brought aboard by Riku and the ship screamed out towards the sky and into space.
~At Aladdin’s home world, Sultan’s Palace~
Princess Jasmine was walking through the empty corridors of her home, worried and annoyed towards her boyfriend Aladdin. The street-smart young man was once again traveling abroad on Carpet, with Abu by his side of course. She had wanted to come, but he and her father said that she had to stay behind to help with the palace and city. Jasmine was worried for his safety, but annoyed that he was increasingly spending time outside the palace and less time with her.
“Oh Aladdin, I know you love the freedom of exploring the city and the desert. But, I really wish you can just settle down a little and be with me.” she said to herself as she walked by herself. She turned towards a window and looked out towards Agrabah, the city nestled in the sands.
‘I wonder how Sora and the others are doing? Its been a long time since I’ve seen any of them, especially after that red Genie-Jafar tried to take over the city again.’ the beautiful princess thought as she reminisced on the memories of the past. Sora was incredible, wearing out Jafar in his genie-form and putting an end to his evil once and for all. Aladdin showed courage and bravery by teaming up with him, Donald, and Goofy. But in the end, it was Sora who delivered the final blow.
“Sora… I hope you’re okay too, wherever you are. I hope that you come back soon to visit. I want to hear about your adventures.” she called out to the sky softly. The raven-haired beauty felt immense respect and pride for Sora. Respect because he saved numerous times from Jafar and the Heartless, pride because they were friends and trusted one another. But, another type of feeling was creeping into her heart.
One that would change her life forever.
~At Disney Castle~
King Mickey was standing on a verandah that overlooked the castle gardens, Merlin by his side. Both wore a face of utmost concern. “Merlin, does Master Yen Sid know about this as well?” the mouse asked the wizard.
The old wizard answered “I believe so, your Majesty. His knowledge and use of magic is above mine, and I suspect he knows more then even I do.” King Mickey was a bit relieved by that. He was planning to go with Sora and Riku to see Yen Sid and ask for guidance.
“Your Majesty, I’m afraid that this new enemy that has emerged is more formidable then Xemnas’s Heartless and Nobody put together. I dare say that this will be the most difficult adventure for you and the boys yet.” the old wizard stated. King Mickey agreed that the stakes were indeed higher, but he and the two Keyblade wielders would pull through.
“Merlin, after the briefing here, return to Radiant Gardens and tell Leon and the others to be ready. We may need their help soon.” King Mickey declared. To the king, this new enemy was nothing like they encountered before. Also, they were after an artifact this time rather then a kingdom. This enemy wanted the one thing that would spell doom for the entire worlds… the One Keyblade. The weapon that started it all.
(Author’s Notes: So, how do you like it so far? Sora and Ariel are slowly becoming close, and Jasmine is getting restless with Aladdin and his love of freedom. Kairi and Riku are going to have to explain a lot to the king and Merlin when they arrive.
Darien: Thank you to all who have taken an interest in this fanfic of ours. Believe me, things will pick up soon.
DJ: Friendships were forged in the past, but now it seems that a different feeling is settling in at the present. Will it cement into something much more in the future?
R&R, no flames, enjoy, and leave long reviews!)
