Hot and Cool Meet
Sora started to stir, his whole body aching. He opened his eyes slightly was greeted with a wave of dizziness and swirled images. Trying to focus, he looked around and soon saw a person. As the waves of dizziness cleared and the world started to come into clear view, he identified the person that was watching over him. “Princess… Jasmine?” he asked softly. The princess nodded her head, a small smile gracing her lips.
“Yes Sora, its me.” the beauty of Agrabah answered. She leaned back so she could give the young man some space when he sat up, slowly however. The Keyblade wielder moaned a little and shook his head to clear it. Once he was properly situated, he looked to his right to find Ariel sleeping on a couch near him. “W-What happened?” he asked.
Princess Jasmine answered “A large earthquake shook the land, and it frightened most of the citizens. I saw your ship fall down from the sky and land near the Palace Gates. Rajah and myself went over to see if you were all right, and when we found you and your friend there unconscious, we got you out and took you to the Palace. You are in my room right now.” Sora was going to ask on who was Rajah when the tiger appeared from behind the princess.
“Whoa! A tiger!” the teenager exclaimed as he backed away in fright a little. Jasmine giggled and told him that the tiger was Rajah, her pet and loyal companion. “Go on Rajah, show Sora how good you are.” the princess of the desert city instructed. The tiger slowly prowled towards the young man, who slowly got over his fear of the big cat. The tiger’s golden eyes stared in Sora’s deep blue ones, as if seeing for any sign of ill intent. Seeing none, the powerful cat nuzzled his face into Sora’s hand. The teenager started to stroke his fur slowly, glad that the tiger liked him.
“Seems Rajah likes you.” Jasmine said “If he didn’t, that would mean either you were a fake or something was up.” Sora was just glad that the large cat liked him and not mauling him. Jasmine asked on whom the other girl was and he answered that her name was Ariel and a princess as well. “Jasmine, has anything strange happened in the city recently? Besides the earthquake, I mean.” Sora asked.
The princess answered that nothing unusual has occurred other then the quake. A soft moan from Ariel diverted their attention to her, and the two went over to see if she was okay. The princess of the sea awakened from her uneasy slumber and found herself being faced with the Keyblade hero and the princess of the sand. “Ouch, my head.” she groaned out while clutching her said cranium.
“Ariel, you okay?” Sora asked. Ariel said she was and her eyes turned to the girl by her friend’s side. “Sora, who is she? Where are we?” The young man then introduced her to Jasmine and Rajah, the tiger actually interesting the redheaded princess more then freighting her. “Ariel, we’re in Agrabah. We’re in another world, just like you always dreamed about.” That caused the princess to be in shock for a moment before releasing her extraordinary curiosity and excitement.
“Sora, what is going on here?” Jasmine asked. Sora was about to answer when the door opened and in stepped in a small, portly man with a white beard, royal clothes on his body, and a large turban on top of his head. “My dear, are they awake yet?” the man asked. Jasmine went to the person and said “Sora, Ariel. Meet my father, the Sultan of Agrabah.” Sora bowed a little to him, Ariel doing the same. Sora whispered to her that a sultan was in the same status as her father, clearing things up a bit.
“My boy, its an honor to finally meet you. My daughter, her boyfriend Aladdin, and Genie have been saying awfully good things about you.” the Sultan proclaimed. Sora seemed to like this man, he seemed to be like a grandfather rather then a regal man but in a really good way. Ariel thought the same thing as well. “My boy, care to tell me what is going on? First the earthquake, which we rarely experienced here, and your craft falling from the sky.”
Sora sighed, knowing this was inevitable. “Your Majesty, Jasmine. I’m afraid that we have an enemy, one much more powerful then even Jafar in his genie-form.” he started to say. That got a gasp from both royal parties. “Our ship was flying through space until everything started to go wacky. I have a feeling it has to do with the being Ariel and I met earlier on.” The young man then told his part on how he met Ariel, and the princess of Atlantica told them on why she left her kingdom with Sora. “We also believe that what happened earlier was part of this person’s doing.” Sora finished.
“I see…” the Sultan said in a grave voice. “My boy, this is most troubling. For someone to have done what you described is unheard of. You and this young lady of yours need to be on guard at all times.” Jasmine asked on how they could help. Sora said that if their ship could be repaired, they would be able to leave and do what they could to make sure this enemy is stopped.
“We need to hurry too. We don’t know the name of our enemy, but we do know he or she can fuse Heartless and Nobodies together. Not someone to take lightly.” the young man said. The Sultan stated that he would have the guards bring the Gummi Ship to the palace so they could start repairs. “We don’t have much technology, but if Genie were here he would be able to help.” Jasmine said.
Sora thanked them both, and turned around to see the sun rising. Night had passed and morning was coming. “Excuse me Jasmine, but is there anything to eat around here?” he asked. The princess smiled and pointed him the way to the kitchen. She also told Rajah to guide him, and the two left the room. When they were alone, Ariel started to ask Jasmine all kinds of questions. It was there a friendship was born and cemented.
~Above the desert area~
A swift moving blur was streaking above the sands, too big for it to be a bird. It was Carpet, and its passengers were Aladdin and Abu. Genie was flying beside them, both trekking fast towards Agrabah. All of them were exploring the desert when they felt the massive quake. The street-wise teenager was worried about Jasmine greatly, so they abandoned their exploration to see if the girl and the city were all right.
“Got to say Al, I’m worried about this whole thing.” Genie put in as they continued to fly fast. Even though he was free, the blue giant was still magical and sensed that the quake was not natural. Something immensely powerful caused that quake, and he was worried about it. Aladdin replied “We’ll worry about that later. Right now, I just want to see if Jasmine is okay.” Genie sighed. The teenager had a one-track mind when it came to the princess of the desert.
~Back in Agrabah~
It was about mid-afternoon for the city of sand. The people had started to rebuild what was damaged from the quake, and Sora was working on the Falcon Peak in the palace courtyard. It was difficult for him because he did not know much about Gummi technology and Chip ‘n’ Dale were not here to help him out. While he was working on the ship, Jasmine was giving a tour of the city to Ariel. The princess of the sea was simply fascinated by all she saw.
“Jasmine, this city is amazing! It’s more wonderful then I ever dreamed!” she exclaimed as she ran ahead of the guide and looked everywhere and studied everything. The princess of the desert city had to smile at this; the redhead teenager was like a child just exploring the world for the first time. It was really a moment to remember. However, Jasmine soon noticed that they were entering a dark alley.
“Ariel, wait a minute!” she exclaimed before running to her. The two were at the edge of the dark alley, and that is when things got bad. From the shadows all around appeared bandits, desert thieves that stole treasure… and other valuables. The ladies were surrounded by thugs of various size and shape, many wielding weapons. They were clothed in desert garbs, making it impossible to see their faces.
“Well, well, well. I see we have two desert roses in our midst.” one of them spoke out, obviously the leader. Jasmine and Ariel had grim faces on and they stood together against these bandits. The leader chuckled, obviously amused by their courage. One stepped forward and reached out to grab Ariel. Big mistake for the princess reacted on instinct, calling for the Keyblade mentally and the weapon appearing in her hand in a shimmer of light. The idiots and Jasmine recoiled a bit in surprise.
“Stay back, all of you!” Ariel exclaimed as she readied her weapon. The thugs were bewildered at first, but it was only for a moment. They sneered at the girl and the guy reached out for her again. However, when he touched the blade of the sacred weapon he recoiled in pain and pulled his arm back. Everyone was staring in awe at the thug who was slowly turning black as midnight.
“What’s going on?!” a thug exclaimed as he saw his comrade turn into a creature of pure darkness… a Heartless Shadow! The leader looked at Ariel, then the Keyblade Crabclaw. He growled and shouted “Get them now!!” The thugs gave a shout before leaping towards the girls. Ariel and Jasmine shielded their arms, preparing for the blow. But it never came. The bandits were thrown back by a fiery white light!
Ariel had to shield her eyes for a few moments because of the light, but it started to die down. She opened them, and stared in open shock at Jasmine. In the beautiful desert princesses’ hand was a Keyblade, the Three Wishes weapon to be precise. It seemed that the Keyblade chose another! Jasmine opened her eyes, and found herself staring in shock at the golden weapon. It seemed to fit her hand perfectly, well balanced and all.
“What just happened?!” Jasmine exclaimed in surprise. Ariel just replied that the Keyblade chose her now. The moment of shock was cut short when they heard screams of pain nearby. They turned to see that the bandits were transforming, just like their buddy did. The darkness in their hearts reacted violently with the Keyblade’s presence, and now it was bringing them to the surface with a mere touch. In a few minutes, the bandits’ bodies vanished and in their place stood fifteen Shadows!
“Time to fight, Jasmine!” Ariel declared while preparing for battle. She was not accustomed to fighting on land, but she would do her best. The desert princess was about to do the same thing, when fifteen Nobody Dusks appeared beside the Heartless Shadows! The duo was surrounded by these monsters, but they held fast and were prepared to fight. “Ariel!! Jasmine!!” a voice called from above.
Jumping down from one of the buildings was Sora! The girls did not know how he knew where they were, or how he sensed that they were in trouble, but they were glad he was here. The young man had his own Keyblade out, and he stood in front of the girls in a fighting stance. “I felt something in the Keyblade, and it told me to find you. I think it sensed that you were in danger and told me where to go.” he told them while still facing the horde of monsters.
Three Shadows attacked, leaping as usual. Sora used a spinning move, the Keyblade hitting the beings and the black creatures dissolving into nothingness. The most unusual event for Jasmine to see were three hearts floating up into the sky after the Shadows was defeated. “Come on girls, time to fight!” Sora declared as the Heartless and Nobodies closed in fast. Ariel and Jasmine stepped up to the plate, very much ready to help Sora out.
~Above Agrabah~
Aladdin was relieved to see the city he grew up in once more. It was a long journey, but he made it back home. He had gotten little sleep since the quake, and was a bit tired. He saw that the city was in good shape, some buildings gone but the people rebuilding. He and Genie were making their way towards the palace when a scream from below attracted their attention. Looking down, the group saw sliver beings and black shadowy creatures attacking three persons. The redheaded girl they did not know, but the other two they recognized instantly.
“Sora! Jasmine!” Aladdin exclaimed before pushing Carpet to dive down towards the action. Genie followed suit. The street kid, the monkey, the flying rug, and the blue giant saw that the girls and Sora were holding their own quite well. Sora was taking down Heartless and Dusks with easy, dodging their attacks and countering fluidly. Jasmine and Ariel were still rookies when fighting, but they handled the situation admirably.
“Sora!” Jasmine shouted out. The young man turned to see her knocking some Dusks away, and the look in her eyes said it all. He went to her and the two teamed-up! Sora started to swing away on the ground while the raven-haired beauty performed acrobatic aerial attacks. This caused some confusion among the Dusks/Shadow ranks as the air/ground attack seemed to be unblockable. After a few minutes of this, the two decided to finish off these annoying pests.
“Sora!” Jasmine called again. The two stood back-to-back, looking incredible to the eyewitnesses. The two then started to dance rapidly, becoming nothing more then mere blurs. The Dusks and Shadows were spasaming wildly, as though being hit by an invisible force. In a matter of seconds, the duo appeared again and Sora had Jasmine in a little dip move (like the kinds dancers use at the end of a number) and the enemy just vanished in wisps of smoke.
The duo were panting, very tired from executing the move. Ariel went over to them to see if they were okay. Sora looked at Jasmine, smiled and said “That was pretty good. Nice work, Jasmine.” The princess blushed a little under Sora’s praise until a familiar voice cut through the air “Jasmine!” The trio looked up to see Aladdin and Abu jumping off of Carpet, landing down nicely while Genie floated down.
The hero of Agrabah quickly brushed past Sora as if he didn’t see him and went to his girlfriend. “Jasmine, are you okay?” he asked, concern evident in his voice. Jasmine said she was fine, Ariel and Genie helping Sora back up. “I’m fine, Aladdin. I’m fine.” Jasmine answered back. Sora was a bit miffed that Aladdin just knocked him down, but understood that he was worried about her girlfriend.
The street kid looked at Sora and finally realized he was here. “Sora, what’s going on?” he demanded. The young man was about to answer when creepy noises started to come out from the dark alleyways. “Its not safe here. Come, we’ll tell you everything at the Palace.” Jasmine stated. The group agreed with her and quickly left the area, going straight for the large structure at the top of the city.
~At Kingdom Hearts~
Adel had watched the scene unfold and was sporting a little smirk when she saw Jasmine summon a Keyblade. “Indeed, another fine candidate has come up. She seems to be on equal grounds with the mermaid-turned-human, maybe even higher.” she mused as she saw the princess and Sora team-up to take down the hordes of Shadow and Dusks.
Her attention shifted from the world of Agrabah to the vast other worlds that had appeared in space. Her little demonstration had moved the previous worlds to another plane, but had brought in new ones to take their place. Also, she felt that part of a world broke off from its main home and was now more then drift rock. The place was being held in one location due to some powerful magic.
“So, let us see on how Sora and his companions handle being to worlds they’ve never been too.” Adel said to herself as her attention shifted back to Agrabah. Currently now, Aladdin and Sora were in a bit of a heated argument with Jasmine and Ariel trying to keep the peace. The sorceress closed her eyes, already feeling a presence behind her. “What is your report on the One Keyblade?”
The being behind her was shrouded completely in darkness, but its shape outline stood out clearly. It answered in a male voice “We’re searching even as we speak, okay? I mean, hey. Its not exactly cheap to send a lot of robots and such to find a single key.” The tone spoke of his frustrated emotion, but the being knew from the start that Adel was not someone to push at all. The woman sighed a little, bringing a little terror into the man.
“I did not bring you here to give excuses. Now, go and find my prize. Tell the others to come in and report too.” Adel commanded in a soft but cutting-edge tone. The man stammered his apologizes before going off into the darkness completely. Things were coming into play for Adel and she was pleased. ‘That idiot Syndrome. Genius when it comes to technology, completely pathetic at everything else.’ she thought.
~Radiant Gardens~
Riku and Kairi were coming out of the Weapon’s Shop, holding their newly acquired gear. Yuffie convinced Huey, Dewey, and Louie to make customized weapons for the duo. It took a bit of time, but it was worth it. Riku was now the owner of a dark-silver short sword, the hilt adored with an angel and a devil wing. Kairi was now holding a crossbow, the wood pure white, solid oak with small angel wings at the tip. It fired not actual arrows, but magical bolts.
Riku named his weapon Twilight Blade while Kairi named hers Bolts of Fury. Goofy bought a Stout Shield while Donald purchased a Morning Star. “These weapons will do just fine.” Riku said while he gave his new weapon a few tests swings. Kairi was a bit uneasy with her weapon, but decided to get used to it.
Merlin suddenly popped in existence in front of them, surprising the group. “Sorry lads and lady, but I’ve found out who we’re dealing with here.” he told them. The group started to walk out towards the Borough, Merlin telling them that they found Adel’s history through the computer and the old archives. Adel was a powerful sorceress and hailed from Leon and Cloud’s world. She started a Sorceress War, having her minions look for a girl that would be suitable to be her successor.
“However, she was tricked by another sorceress and put into suspended animation or into a very deep sleep. She was sent adrift in space, but we believe that she drifted into our space.” Merlin told Riku and the rest. “When you and Sora defeated Xemnas, Riku, we believe that the massive explosion of power caused her to awaken. Now she is here in our world and is still looking for a successor.” Donald asked if there was more, but Merlin responded that there would be a time for that later.
“Cid is working with Tron in designing and building a new ship for you all to travel with. My star maps indicate that we are on another plane, or another part of space to be exact. You’ll find traveling to other worlds difficult as you will need to pass through new doors to get to them.” the wizard explained. This did not bode well for the group. They had to get back in space soon to go look for Sora, then search for Adel.
~In Agrabah~
Aladdin was very miffed to say the least. He had just learned that a new enemy was out, something that made even Jafar look like a schoolboy. On top of that, Jasmine was chosen to be a Keyblade wielder and Sora had asked her to come along with him and the new girl Ariel to go on a dangerous quest to find and stop this new enemy! He was not pleased that Jasmine had actually wanted to go and help Sora out.
“Jasmine, you can’t! It’s just too dangerous! Besides, Agrabah needs you.” he told his girlfriend heatedly. The Sultan, who was also present, agreed with the young man. Jasmine was fuming and it showed. ‘Aladdin can go off on dangerous quests but I can’t?! That’s not fair!’ she thought. While they argued, Genie was using his magic to fix up Sora’s ship. He looked on at the scene while working, knowing that this was going to end in a bad way. Iago landed on his shoulder and said “Well, one thing Jas and Al have in common. They’re both stubborn on what they want to do.”
Sora pleaded “Aladdin, you have to trust us on this. We need Jasmine’s help in order to defeat this new enemy.” Ariel did not know the situation fully, but she did understand that they really needed Jasmine on this quest. Her new friend proved to them all that she could take care of herself. That and she did not want to be separated from her first friend from another world. She and Jasmine looked on at the arguing scene before them.
“No Sora! Jasmine stays here, and that’s that!” Aladdin yelled quite loudly. He stormed off, going inside the Palace to cool down a bit. Abu went after him just because he was hungry. The Sultan put a hand on Sora’s defeated shoulder, saying this was for the best before going inside. The young man sighed, seeing that he was outvoted on this. He looked at Genie and asked if the ship was ready.
“All done, Sora.” the blue dude said before zapping the finished craft, filling it with energy. “Take care of yourself, okay Sora? You too Ariel.” he added before going off to find Al. Sora sighed again and motioned for Ariel to go into the ship. Before he got in himself, he went to Jasmine and bowed slightly. “Thanks for helping us out, Jasmine.” he told her. He was surprised when she enveloped him in a hug.
“I’m sorry about all of this Sora. I wish Aladdin and Father would understand why you need me in this quest.” she said. He put a hand on her right shoulder and gave her a small smile. “It can’t be helped. In any case, take care of yourself and good luck with Aladdin.” he replied. He broke away from the hug and went to his ship, both he and Ariel were sad that Jasmine was coming with them. He climbed in the cockpit pushed the button to close the hatch. He turned to see Jasmine for one last time, but the desert rose was nowhere to be found.
‘Probably went inside to talk with those two stubborn guys.’ he thought. He pushed the ignition button and the ship started to come back to life. It slowly rose up, the engines firing up to blast off at hyper speed. He asked Ariel if she was buckled up, and she answered that she was. “I am too!” a familiar voice called out. With wide eyes, the two turned to see Jasmine! She managed to sneak aboard, and in such a stealthy manner too.
“Jasmine?!” Sora exclaimed, then he looked back down to the ground to see Aladdin yelling at them to come down. Unfortunately for him, the engines drowned out his voice. “Get back down here!” Al yelled again. When that didn’t work, he whistled for Carpet who flew in fast. He jumped on and both went towards the cockpit. But, it was too late. Before the street kid reached his target, the craft came to life and roared away to the sky in a blink of an eye! Carpet was blown away by the shockwave, causing it and Aladdin to come back down to earth hard.
“JASMINE!!!” Aladdin yelled out. Genie, the Sultan, Iago, and Abu came out of the palace and saw the craft take off. Before it was out of sight completely, they saw Jasmine waving good-bye to them from the bubble cockpit. “My daughter… I wish you a safe journey.” the ruler of Agrabah whispered solemnly. Genie agreed with the Sultan, as did Abu. However, Iago remained indifferent to the whole thing.
A new adventure had now officially begun!
