Love In The Night

Kairi and Sora stood by the pier as they tied their boats to it so they wouldn't float away when the large tides came in during the night. They have been gone all day to the other island visiting family and friends Tidus, Wakka, Selphie and their good friend Riku. Riku couldn't go back to the island with them and hang out like they usually do because he had to stay behind and help his mother who was sick at the moment. Sora was a handsome boy now about the age of 24 with brown spiky hair that defied all gravity and deep blue eyes. Kairi was beautiful girl about a year younger then Sora with semi long reddish brown hair down past her shoulders that flowed easily with the gentle breeze that blew. Her eyes were a lighter blue color. The two of them had finally finished school and now could be together and hang out all the time.

As soon as they were done Sora and Kairi went to the smaller island to watch the sunset as they always did. The sun slowly sank behind the ocean leaving the sky lovely tinted colors of yellow orange and red and the clouds a pink and purplish color. “It sure is beautiful isn't it Sora?” But Sora hadn't been staring at the sunset. He watched the girl's features closely watching her breath in and out and how her beautiful auburn hair swayed slowly in the breeze. He ignored all his surroundings...focusing on one thing only...Kairi. She was the only beautiful thing he saw right now not the ocean not the sunset not anything just her. How he adored her he always had since the day she moved on Destiny Islands when he and Riku were around seven and eight. He thought she was the most beautiful girl on the island. He kept watching her breath steadily staring at her rosy pink lips, wishing that one day he could actually taste them with his own. His cheeks turned a bright red color but he tried to hide it before answer her but in a low mumble. “Just like you are Kairi.” Kairi turned to him with a look of surprise on her face. “What?!” Sora quickly turned his head away stuttering nervously. “N-N-Nothing…” He was a bit afraid now of what Kairi would do.

Kairi gazed at him still with a bit of a shocked look. He thought to himself. “Oh great now you've done it Sora you messed it up. Way to go.” He kept looking down into the water to afraid to look back at her. Kairi's eyes lightened from what was left from the setting sun as she moved herself a bit closer to Sora. She placed one hand gently onto his while the other placed against his cheek. He looked up a bit back into her eyes once again at the feeling of her touch. “Sora…” she softly whispered softly. Sora smiled toward her. “Kai…” he spoke just as softly. That was always Sora's nickname for her. Kairi began to slightly blush then slowly moved down before her soft warm lips pressed up against Sora's. Sora was completely and utterly stunned his entire body frozen he didn't know what to do. Suddenly in his head Roxas appeared and smacked him lightly. “You idiot kiss her back!!” he grumbled. Sora finally snapping back to reality closed his eyes and kissed her back just as softly.

As they kissed Sora could feel Kairi's tongue running against his lips teasingly. Sora then opened his mouth as he let Kairi's tongue slide into his mouth rubbing it over his own tongue that entwined with hers. “I can't believe this was happening Kairi is actually kissing me.” Sora thought over and over in his head. By this time the stars had began to come out along with the moon that shown upon to the two teenaged lovers making it a very magical and romantic night for both of them. Sora and Kairi opened their mouths for air but still not breaking the kiss as their tongues played with each other from the passionate deep kiss they shared. Kairi slightly leaned back a bit onto the land as Sora slowly moved over her things were starting to heat up a bit. He rubbed his hand up down her arm before his fingers entwined with hers at the hand. His other hand placed on her slender waist. Kairi's body began to shiver a bit with pleasure at his warm yet tender touch. Kairi slowly wrapped her arms around Sora's neck. Sora replied by wrapping his arm completely around her slim waist holding her closely. Lifting her hand Kairi ran her fingers through Sora's hair. He just continued to kiss her passionately as she did so not wanting it to ever end. Sora could feel both their hearts beating as one inside their chest.

After what seemed like forever they broke from the kiss both panting heavily. They have never gone that long without breathing before but they had seemed to enjoy every moment of it. They couldn't believe they had made out with each other but they would both admit it was really good. “I never knew …you were such a good kisser…Sora.” Kairi said nearly breathlessly. “Your…very…good too…Kairi.” She began to blush again as they cuddled each other. After a few minutes of silence Sora finally spoke. “Kairi…does this mean we…are…” before he could finish Kairi gently pressed her fingers to his lips. “Yes….cause the truth is…I…I love you Sora.” Sora's heart began to race about a billion miles a minute he felt that he wouldn't be able to breathe anymore or his heart would just burst out of his chest at any moment. His stomach began to feel all tingly with butterflies. The three words he had always dreamed about Kairi saying to him had finally come true. “Oh my god I must be dreaming!! This is just a dream right?! Or maybe she really does love me…” Yet again he felt another smack to the back of his head. “It's not a dream you blockhead this is reality and of course she loves you. If she didn't do you think she would of made out with you?!” shouted Roxas from inside his head. Sora knew that Roxas was right. “Kairi I love you too…so very much I have just always been so afraid to tell you cause I thought…I thought you might have not felt the same way about me.” Tears of happiness began to build up in Sora's eyes but he tried to not let them fall he didn't want Kairi to think of him as some kind of wimp. She leaned down to kiss him softly. “Sora I love you with all my heart and soul…I thought the same thing…that you would feel differently about me but after today…I know the truth.”

Kairi gently with her hand brushed away the tears that now slid down Sora's cheek. He slightly turned away with a bit of embarrassment he didn't want to cry in front of Kairi. “I-I'm sorry you had to see me cry Kairi. Your probably think I'm a wimp now don't you?” He mumbled rubbing his eyes. Kairi just smiled. “Of course I don't Sora!! It's alright to cry.” Sora gave a slight sigh of relief. “Thank god Kairi is so understanding.” He thought to himself. Kairi crawled up on Sora's lap as he leaned up against the papou fruit tree. She rested her head back against his chest. Sora wrapped one arm around her waist the other one running down her hair lovingly his eyes closing as they listened to the peaceful sounds of the waves crashing ashore along with the crickets chirping their song of the night. When suddenly a gentle breeze blew making one of the papou fruits fall from the tree and right onto Kairi's lap. She looked down at it with a slight blush luckily Sora hadn't noticed yet. She picked it up and held it gently in her hand. “Sora?” she softly said still gazing at the large star shaped fruit. “Yes Kai.” He said opening his eyes once again. “Would you…” she paused for a moment before looking back at him. “…Share this papou fruit with me?” Sora's cheeks turned red before he took her hand with the papou fruit in and held it. “Of course I will Kairi.”

Kairi and Sora both took one side of the fruit and ripped it right down the middle each having half of the fruit. “I'm ready when you are Sora.” He slightly nodded. “When I say go…ok?” Kairi smiled. “Right.” “Ready…set… “Go!” the both shouted before they bit into the papou fruit the sweet juices running down their throat and the sweetness unbearably good. As Sora and Kairi finished the last bit of the fruit Sora leaned down and kissed her so deeply again the last bit of fruit still in their mouths. After they were finished they lied down again just gazing up at the stars and moon together as they pointed out different constellations in the night sky laughing and having a great time.

It was about an hour or so later. Sora looked down to Kairi's face as it lit up from the moonlight. So beautiful so priceless…he wanted her so badly. He could feel himself starting to become slightly aroused he looked down to see the bulge in his pants. Kairi looked up at him “Something wrong Sora?” she said with a slight lust in her voice. “Uhhh no I'm fine.” Kairi nodded before she started to place fiery hot kisses upon Sora's neck. A soft yet chilling breeze began to blow. Kairi began to shiver softly Sora wrapping his arms around her a bit more comfortingly trying to keep her warm. “Lets get dressed we'll be much warmer. “ Kairi said trying to make herself a bit more comfortable. Sora nodded in agreement. Sora slowly slid himself out of Kairi and got up. Both of them quickly got dressed. After they finished the two of them once again sat under the Papou fruit tree gazing out to the sparkling water lit by the moon's reflection. Sora started to blush like mad before looking to Kairi who was starting to fall asleep. “I guess all that fun wore her out.” He thought to himself. He decided that he knew it was now or never. “Kai…?” he asked taking her hand gently in his. Kairi layed her head against his shoulder looking up at him. “Yes?” Sora looked away a bit before looking back at her. He took in a deep breath his hand reaching out into his pocket. “Kai…will…will you marry me?” he pulled out a beautiful diamond ring from his pocket sliding it on her finger a bright blush on his cheeks. Kairi was completely speechless. But eagerly accepted smothering Sora in kisses endlessly. The night couldn't get any better then it already had. It was a night that neither Kairi or Sora would ever forget.
