“Who wants to play Hearts?” Luxord asked with a grin, throwing a deck of cards between his hands in a shuffle. Saix looked crestfallen. Xemnas grinned.
“Hearts? You came up with a game to help build Kingdom Hearts?” he asked, one silvery brow raised.
“Well….no,” Luxord said before hastily adding, “it's a card game.”
“I'm leaving,” Roxas said immediately, standing up before Axel promptly replied, “No you're not,” and pulled him back down.
“Well it's a four person game,” Luxord said, settling himself on a large sitting pillow on the floor of a lounging room.
“I'm just watching. You four play,” Xemnas said from his seat on the couch, lazily watching as Zexion shrugged, Saix looked unsure but nodded, Roxas sighed in exasperation, and Axel looked helplessly about.
“Ok, fine let's play,” the pyro said, laying on the floor and hugging his sitting pillow, pulling a pink pillow up for Roxas to sit next to him. Saix sat next to Zexion across from Axel and Roxas.
“So you're dealer, huh coward?” Xemnas asked as Luxord looked at each player in turn. He nodded and grinned.
“Of course. Now does everyone know how to play Hearts?” Zexion and Roxas nodded. Saix seemed a little unsure but Axel just looked blank.
“Ok well, basically you will be dealt cards. The game starts with each person picking up to three cards to pass to the person on their left. The two of clubs starts and you have to play the same suit of cards.”
“Unless you don't have that suit; then you can play anything,” Zexion added. The dealer nodded.
“The Queen of Spades is worth thirteen points, each heart is worth one. After everyone puts in a card, the person with the highest suit gets the cards. The objective is to get the lowest score possible.” The blonde man dealt the cards and each player looked at his respective hand. Before the game could start, Luxord held up a hand.
“This game is a little different,” he smiled. “This is called the Queen of Hearts—”
“Kinda like you Axel?” Xemnas laughed.
“And there are a few differences. To make things simple we won't pass cards. We will still start on the two of clubs, and the scoring will be the same but—”
“But the catch is?” Xemnas prodded, eager to see what Luxord came up with, no doubt with help from someone else who probably pressed him to play these games. Luxord brought out a piece of paper and waved it with a sheepish grin. Xemnas got that evil look in his eyes—more so than usual—and snatched the paper away with his Nothingness. The room watched him as he read the list to himself.
“So this is the catch hm?” he asked devilishly. Luxord nodded.
“Those are the Consequences—”
“I'm leaving,” Roxas said, standing up but Axel pulled him down again. The boy threw the pyro a dirty look. Xemnas grinned and folded the paper with his fingers.
“So let's start.”
“Wait, what's the catch? What's on the paper?” Saix asked, slightly worried but still intrigued.
“I'm guessing something for the winner and loser of each hand to do?” Zexion asked, one eye closed, the other watching the blonde. The dealer nodded.
Zexion laughed silently to himself and shook his head.
“Why, what's on the paper?” Axel asked, but decided not to press the matter when Xemnas narrowed his evil eyes at him with a wicked grin.
“Well then shall we start?”
“Yes.” Zexion laid down the two of clubs. Each followed, Axel getting the cards.
“And we keep playing until all the cards are gone. That's one hand. Then we add up the scores to determine the winner and loser of the hand.” The game played out, Saix looking smug. When it was time to count up the numbers, Xemnas grinned evilly and Zexion snickered, patting Saix on the back.
“You're not supposed to collect the hearts,” he explained to the confused Number 7 who scored twenty-three with the Queen of Jalobes and ten hearts. Axel had two hearts, offering one to Roxas who gave him a what-are-you-crazy look. Zexion had only one.
“Okay Roxas, pick a number between one and fifteen,” Xemnas said eagerly, that devious grin never leaving his face as he looked at the paper he was given. Roxas winced, unsure of what fate lie on the paper that would have him carry out some perverse action against Saix. Zexion was comforting the downfallen Organization XIII member.
“But the hearts….” Saix said in a small, almost pleading voice. Zexion smiled, hand on his shoulder and gave it a squeeze.
“It's ok, there will be another hand.”
“Don't lose on purpose now, Zexion,” Xemnas smirked. Zexion merely narrowed his eyes.
“Well the good thing is you can't lose twice in a row to the same winner, so if you do, the person with the next worst score is the loser,” Luxord said, as if trying to comfort the players who were all at unease. Axel watched Roxas closely.
“Okay number……five?”
“Marluxia?” Axel whispered.
“No….. ugh forget it Axel.” Roxas looked to Xemnas who searched what apparently was a list.
“A freebie,” Xemnas sounded disappointed. Luxord hastened to explain.
“It just means no one does anything.”
“How boring,” Zexion mused. Axel giggled, nervous at what Roxas would have had to do to Saix. As much as Axel loved seeing Roxas doing bad things, he preferred they be done to him and not to other Organization XIII members.
“Ok, we're keeping the score and, next hand.” Luxord dealt out the next hand, keeping record of scores on a gaming pad he kept. Fair was fair. Try as Saix might, he still managed to lose the hand but fortunately he had avoided getting hearts.
“I still lost the hand,” Saix sighed. “But I didn't get any hearts.”
“It's ok, you did well,” Zexion ruffled Saix's creamy hair, making him blush faintly.
“Okay Zexion, pick a number between one and fifteen, except five,” Xemnas said. “No wait, you're doing number eight.” Zexion shrugged.
“What's number eight?” he asked, calmly looking at Saix who seemed a bit nervous.
“You get to make out with him,” Xemnas said casually, his grin lacing his voice. He didn't see Zexion's faint smile.
Despite the amount of time Saix tried to get with Zexion, most of it was spent merely being in his presence, not being intimate with him at all. Saix would be lucky to get even a soft, simple kiss now and then, but the chance to make out…. Would Zexion refuse? Number 6 shrugged.
“Game's a game,” he said, pulling Saix in close by his chin, and before anyone could protest, their lips were sealed together. Saix, completely taken by surprise, froze, wanting to jerk back and look at Zexion as if it was some crazy dream. Surely he wouldn't just kiss him because it was a game. Thinking better of him, he tried to soften up, following Zexion as the latter pulled back, sitting instead of leaning, Saix in his lap, still kissing him. Zexion opened Saix's mouth gently, tasting him, making him moan in his mouth. Saix's heart was pounding, but he was enjoying what he had for the moment, one hand on the back of Zexion's head, the other brushed through inky blue bangs, holding him close. Axel watched, swallowing hard and glanced to Roxas, the boy's eyes were calmly closed until the dealer dealt again. Luxord seemed uncomfortable and Xemnas was amused, one finger to his lips, eyes glinting mischievously. When Saix pulled away to breathe, he was panting.
“Alright then, hand three,” Xemnas said with a clap of his hands, clearly pleased with his dirty work.
Zexion's hands were on Saix's waist, aiming to pull him back and give him a cute little smile but Saix thought otherwise. Taking advantage and with a scoff from Axel, a snicker from Xemnas, Saix pushed Zexion against the floor, continuing to kiss him as if tomorrow would never come, gripping his hair as if daring him to turn away. He whimpered as Zexion bit back, trying not to get them so wrapped up that the game would stop, but his offense failed when it only made Saix shiver. He pushed back against his chest, finally getting the pretty-boy off him, eyes clouded with a dull lust, panting, lips wet with saliva. Zexion sat up, steering his offender back beside him. Without a word, Zexion's cold glare silencing the room, Luxord dealt the next hand after shuffling the cards well.
“Ha I won this round,” Axel clucked as the scores were once again counted. “Sixteen! Take that pretty boy.” Zexion sneered, but stopped himself and winked. Axel was slightly apprehensive by the gesture, and when Xemnas grinned his wolfish grin, he became even more worried. However, when Roxas was the loser Axel had a number ready.
“Making sure to grab hold of Roxas' cloak before he could leave, Axel eagerly said, “Thirteen!” and grinned at Roxas, who rolled his sky blue eyes.
“Well, pick a song Axel, Roxas gets to be your song bird,” Xemnas said, amused but downcast that it was only a song.
“Aww….” Axel thought a moment. “Can I change my choice?” Roxas glared death at him. “Okay fine. Sing…..” He looked around the room as if looking for inspiration.
“Simple and Clean.”
“The hell?” Xemnas murmured, throwing a strange look at Axel. Roxas sat on his pillow, arms folded and definitely not wanting to be here, as he sighed.
“You're giving me, too many things…lately.” He looked around, slightly off-key but definitely better than anything that came out of Axel's mouth.
“We should go ahead with the next round while he sings,” Xemnas said softly to himself, just wanting the action.
“You're all I need, you smiled at me, and said….” Axel hugged Roxas but he ignored him. “Don't get me wrong I love you, but does that mean I have to meet, your father…”
“Don't have one buddy, it's okay!” Axel purred. He wasn't making out with him or anything but hey, it was still fun.
“When we're older you'll understand what I meant when I said, `No,' I don't think, life is quite that simple!” With thatlast line growled, Roxas shoved Axel off of him and scooted away, sitting closer to Xemnas. Xemnas laughed and ran one hand through Roxas' hair, making him pull his hood up. Luxord collected the cards and dealt again.
This time, Zexion managed to lose and Axel was again the victor.
“Oh hell, I don't wanna play anymore,” Axel whined, throwing his cards on the floor and pouting.
“You just want a go at Roxas, you wuss. Play and pick a number or I'm picking for you,” Xemnas threatened, an insane look on his face. Axel thought better. He could run away but Xemnas could get Saix on his side and when Saix was mad he went berserk and that's not something anyone but a masochist messed with.
“Uh, three?”
“Good boy. Make Zexion naked now.” Axel gaped at Xemnas.
“I'm leaving,” Roxas stood, and with no one to stop him, he opened a pathway to darkness and left. Determined to weasel his way out and follow Roxas, Axel made a dash for the door but Xemnas caught him, stopping him before the door disappeared, fading into nothing.
“Nah ah, Axel be a good boy ad strip Zexion for us.” Luxord gathered his cards.
“First, since we lost a player we can't continue, second I really don't want to see this,” he said, reluctantly gathering his cards.
“You only play these games if Larxene is around, that's the only way we get to play them, right?” Xemnes asked, shifting and sitting on one foot on the couch.
The Dealer of Fate slightly flustered, turned around and walked through his own door before anyone could stop him.
“Well I guess it's over,” Saix said with a short laugh, relieved that he didn't have to watch Axel strip the person he adored.
“No it isn't,” the leader said simply. He shoved Axel towards Zexion who looked somewhat disgruntled, but otherwise stoic. “Come here Saix.” Xehanort's counterpart beckoned to the bewildered Organization XIII member. Unsure but not wanting to disobey, he swallowed hard and reformed his countenance, approaching Xemnas with confidence. The silver haired bishonen patted the couch next to him, making room as Saix sat down on the edge of the couch, doubt forming like mist in his mind. Xemnas stretched with his arms across the back of the couch. Axel looked at Zexion, like a small lion taking on a large strong deer, indecisive as to whether the prey would attack or not. Taking his chances, he kneeled in front of Number 6.
“Why do I have to do this?” he asked, pouting.
“It's your consequence. The sooner it's over, the sooner you can run to Roxas,” Xemnas stated curtly, folding his arms with a smug smile and watching as Axel's eyes lit up at Roxas' name.
Shrugging, Axel carefully removed Zexion's cloak as he sat there, watching Axel with an even, somewhat curious gaze. Zexion wore his usual array of accessories along with blue jeans, ever tighter at the hips and looser at the legs, and a tight black turtleneck. Axel tried to imagine stripping Roxas instead but it didn't quite work, especially with Xemnas' eyes boring holes into his back. Axel managed to fight off Zexion's shirt, revealing a lean, toned, pale torso. Saix blushed beside Xemnas. If he had been any closer to the strip tease he would have surely looked away, but his eyes were glued. Xemnas noticed and hooked an arm about his waist. Axel wrestled off Zexion's shoes and socks.
“So graceful,” commented the sarcastic leader. Axel threw a glare over his shoulder and muttered something inaudible. With Zexion leaning back on his hands, slightly bemused despite his small frown, Axel stilled his nervous fingers long enough to undo the stupid button and unzip the pants. He tore the jeans off by the cuffs of the legs. Trying to avoid staring at Zexion's body, he couldn't help but gulp, making sure he didn't miss anything. He scurried into the darkness with a quick and muttered `goodbye.'
Xemnas was grinning deviously as Zexion sat naked, not sure what he wanted to do now, rubbing his head with one hand as Saix hugged himself, one hand over his face, eyes shut and breathing shallowly. Xemnas thumped his back and laughed as a droplet of blood stained his cloak.
“Nice going Sexy, no under clothing huh?” the leader cajoled, sitting back on the couch. Zexion shrugged and pulled his pants back on. “Hey, help Saix to a bathroom will ya? You gave him a nosebleed.” Saix was blushing so furiously it would have been hard to tell what was clean flesh and what was blood. He looked at Number 6 with pleading eyes but had to avert his gaze with a groan as his hormones got the better of him. Zexion wore a half smile as he pulled Saix up, jeans still unzipped and unbuttoned. He heard the poor bleeding man mutter, “Oh God,” as he pulled him into the darkness, blood streaming off his chin. Xemnas laughed to himself, quite pleased with the trouble he liked to stir up.
