Prologue

Sora closed his eyes as he felt the wind pass through his hair. It was a familiar feeling, but at the same time kind of foreign. He hadn't been to the Destiny Islands in over a year. And the way that things were turning out, it didn't seem like he would ever set foot on the island again.

But it hurts to think that I won't ever see HER again…

It wasn't the first time he would be separated from her. Having to watch her fade from sight after he closed the door to the darkness did more than tug at a few heartstrings…

But at least he knew he would see her again. But now, he and Riku would have to spend eternity in the dark, so that She, King Mickey, and Donald and Goofy could stay safe in the light.

But she's safe now… To keep her out of harm, I would gladly make this sacrifice any day. I know she would…

The young man felt his shoulder get poked as he opened his eyes to see Riku with a bottle in his hand.

“Sora it's for you.”

He grabbed the bottle from Riku's hand and uncorked it, sliding a small letter into his hand and began to read it.

“Thinking of you wherever you are…”

“We pray for our sorrows to end. And hope that our hearts will blend.”

“Now I will step forward to realize this wish.”

Could this be?

“And who knows? Starting a new journey may not be so hard.

It must be from Kairi!

“Or maybe it's already begun…”

All of a sudden, a rush of memories came flooding into Sora's mind, mostly about a certain girl.

“There are many worlds. But they share the same sky. One sky. One destiny”

Tears were beginning to well up in Sora's eyes, as one last memory came to mind, scribbling on the wall in the secret place, when he was trying to motivate himself to give Kairi a paopu fruit.

And then a burst of light appeared in front of the two.

“The door to the light…”

With hope and determination, he rose up and turned to Riku.

“We'll go together!”

Riku smiled back and nodded as Sora helped him up as they entered the portal.

A mysterious blue light began to surround them as they shot through the air. They were falling so fast, he didn't expect the sudden landing as they both crashed into the water.

Quickly he swam up to the surface for some air.

He then turned his attention to the island in front of them.

Destiny Island

The joy he felt as he recognized the island felt as if it was unsurpassable.

But what he saw next brushed away any such thoughts.

Standing there, waving over to him and Riku, was the angelic (at least in his eyes.) girl that he cared for. The girl that he loved.

KAIRI!

All of a sudden, he felt himself with so much energy; it was like he hadn't just fought with Xemnas a few minutes before. He then began to paddle over to the one he was dying to see.

The smile she looked to him with made him feel so joyful, he couldn't help but smile back in return.

As he began to run over to her, he was knocked back down by his two companions.

He soon smiled as they both began to laugh and hug him.

King Mickey appeared as well as he jumped over to Riku, his old companion of sorts.

And then he lifted his gaze back to the beautiful girl in front of him as he took in that breathtaking smile of hers once more. As he offered his smile back to her, he couldn't help but feel something inside of him grinning as well…

He then remembered the charm she had given him a year ago, as he dug into his pocket for it. He then took his hand from his pocket, as he looked over to her again.

“We'r- were back!” He said with a huge grin.

God, how I've missed her…

She gave him a soft smile as she held out her hand for him.

“You're home.”

He then grabbed her hand as he admired her smile once more.

Kairi…I love you…

And there it is. I think I made it a little too mushy, but I wanted to do something through Sora's POV. And I think it worked out. Well, please review and I'll try to get up a second chapter up as soon as possible. Now im gonna go get some cash to buy a damn PSP to play the new KHS game coming out. See ya later,
