Drop of liquid crystal
leaking from an orb of vibrant green,
trailing down across features of sculpted marble,
falling to meet hard, cold stone,
drying away, fading into nonexistence.
Broken hopes, scattered dreams, lost friends.
Memories of joy, of life, of love
that will never be again.
Pain of heartbreak, sorrow of goodbye,
of watching true love disappear.
All in a single tear.
