Alright, chapter four! Enjoy, and…well…review, or I'll throw a javelin through your chest.

Grim sat down on the bench just outside of Hinata Inn. It had been a good 300 years since he had had time to just kick back and relax. He heaved a sigh and looked up into the sky.

“Man, that Keitaro really is a character.” He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out his new deck of cards. He shuffled them a few times and began to play a game of solitaire on his lap.

“You like cards, huh?” Grim looked up to see Mitsune coming out of the Inn. “Are you a friend Keitaro's?” Grim felt his face heat up. What the hell is this? I feel…weird.

“Why yes, and I find it amazing he hasn't mentioned that he knows someone so stunning!” Mitsune gave a playful laugh, then held out her hand.

“The name's Konno Mitsune, but my friends call me Kitsune.” Grim shook her hand and raised an eyebrow.

“Fox huh? Now you wouldn't be mischievous would you?” they both laughed. Growing a little more comfortable, Mitsune walked over and sat next to Grim.

“Cards is one game you should never play alone…oh, I never caught your name.” Grim tensed, racking his brain for a good human name.

“Oh, my name? Well it's…Grieg! Yeah Grieg.” Mitsune laughed again.

“Well Grieg, what do you say we start playing? Gin good with you?” Grim smiled, happy to be playing with somebody other than Keitaro, then started to deal the cards.

Meanwhile Keitaro stood in front of his mirror trying to fix the collar on his over shirt. As he fiddled with the collar, thousands of frantic thoughts raced through his mind. Where should I take her? Should I bring her something? Should I dress up, or be casual? CRAP! Keitaro had tugged on his collar so hard that part of it ripped off. He gave an exasperated sigh, then went to his dresser to find another over shirt. He rummaged through the drawers and finally pulled out an identical over shirt to the one he had ripped. He threw it on and returned to the mirror. “Aieee!” Keitaro screamed as he saw both his and Grim's reflection in the mirror. He whirled around to see what seemed to be a very happy Grim.

“Wow, Keitaro! That Mitsune girl sure is nice… in more ways than one!” Keitaro was taken aback by Grim's attraction to Mitsune. He scratched his head.

“Grim, I didn't think you were the type to fall for a mortal…” Grim sweat dropped.

“Well… I mean, I haven't really…” Mitsune called from downstairs.

“Grieg! Come on! We'll be late for the movie!” Keitaro burst into laughter. Grim's lowered his head.

“Okay, so she's cute, alright? Geez, gimme a break!” Keitaro continued to laugh as Grim sulked out of his room. Keitaro let himself calm down, then gave one last check in the mirror. He reached into his back pocket and took out his wallet. When he peered inside, he found it to be completely empty. Well this won't do. Keitaro thought. He pointed his finger into his wallet. Then with a crackling noise, crisp new hundred dollar bills filled his now bulging wallet. Ha! Now I can afford any restaurant! Keitaro put his wallet back into his wallet, but yet again paused. I should get her something… Keitaro snapped his fingers. This did two things; one voicing his idea, and actually making it happen. With another crackling noise, a bouquet of roses appeared in his hand. Okay, lets do this! Keitaro took a deep breath, then headed up towards Naru's room.

“What do you mean you said yes?!” Motoko yelled in disbelief. Motoko, Mitsumi and Shinobu all sat staring at Naru as she got ready in her mirror. “He's a lecher, a weakling and a…” Naru cut her off.

“Motoko, you seem awfully disturbed that me and Keitaro are going out tonight!” Motoko thought about responding, but simply looked away blushing instead.

“Did he tell you where he was taking you, Naru-sempai?” Shinobu asked, looking a bit timid to ask. Naru thought about it for a second.

“No, I don't know where he's going to take me… has anyone seen Mitsune? She usually loves this kind of stuff.” Su and Sarah popped out of a secret passage from behind a bookcase, surprising everyone.

“We saw Mitsune!” Su exclaimed. Sarah nodded in agreement.

“Yeah! She left a few minutes ago with some guy!” everyone looked puzzled.

“A guy?!” they all said in unison. Su and Sarah nodded.

“Yeah, she said his name was Grieg or something.” Motoko sighed.

“It seems there is some kind of love bug floating around.” Naru turned bright red.

“What do you mean love?!”

“Uhh, am I interrupting?” everyone turned to see Keitaro standing in the doorway with one of his hands behind his back. Naru smiled and rose.

“Keitaro, are you ready?” Keitaro smiled and nodded. He brought his hand out from behind his back and presented the bouquet to Naru.

“These are for you, Narusagewa.” Naru turned a red and took the flowers.

“Thank you Keitaro, they're beautiful.” Everyone sat and watched in awe as their two friends that were almost constantly in some kind of argument or misunderstanding flirted shamelessly. Naru soon remembered that they weren't alone and laughed nervously. “What do you say we go, Keitaro?” Keitaro smiled and nodded.

“Sure, Naru.” As Naru and Keitaro walked out of the room, Mitsumi spoke up.

“Umm, what just happened?” every single person in Naru's room sweat dropped.

Mitsune dragged Grim over to the old tree just outside the entrance of Hinata Inn. Grim rubbed his head.

“Now I might be new at this, but don't think `going out' infers spying on Keitaro and Naru.” Mitsune sighed.

“Quit your whining. We'll go out as soon as I see what happens between the two of them! I've waited a long time for this!” Grim laughed under his breath. You and me both, lady. Mitsune's head turned towards the front door. “Quick!” she hissed. “They're coming!” Mitsune and Grim shimmied up the tree and watched as Naru and Keitaro came out of the door. Both Mitsune and Grim's jaws dropped as they saw Naru grab Keitaro's hand and rest her head on his shoulder. Grim looked up into the sky.

“I didn't think you had it in you, sir.” Mitsune turned to Grim.

“Did you say something, Grieg?” Grim realized that he had been talking out loud and laughed.

“No, I didn't say anything.” Mitsune shrugged, then turned her attention back to Naru and Keitaro. Grim looked at the intent expression on Mitsune's face and smiled.

“Do you just want them together, or do you have some kind of crush on Keitaro?” Mitsune looked up from watching the couple walk down the path and kissed Grim square on the lips. Grim sat there, his face feeling like it was on fire.

“I haven't done that in a long time.” Mitsune blushed. “And…well…I guess Naru and Keitaro have been my way of getting romance.” Mitsune looked away. “I know it sounds kind of stupid…” Grim laughed.

“Tell you the truth; it's the same way with me, except I had never met this Naru girl until today.”

“You have to be the worst spies I've ever seen.” Grim and Mitsune became wide-eyed and looked down at the base of the tree to see Naru and Keitaro looking up at them. They both fell out of the tree.

“O-oh! Hi Naru, Keitaro! Have you met Grieg?” Mitsune laughed nervously. “RUUUUNNN!!!” Mitsune grabbed Grim by the hand and ran out of sight. Naru shook her head.

“Poor guy.” Keitaro laughed.

“Nice though. Wanna get going?” Naru nodded.

Keitaro led Naru through the town until they reached their destination. Naru chuckled to herself.

“Keitaro…” in front of them was the nicest Karaoke Restaurant. Keitaro took her hand and led her inside.

“Come on, Naru! It'll be fun.” Still somewhat surprised by Keitaro's choice, Naru followed him inside, wondering what his motives were.

Keitaro and Naru sat in their chairs, tears rolling down their faces from laughter.

“That was the funniest version of `I Love Rock and Roll' I have ever heard!” laughed Keitaro. Naru almost laughed herself out of her seat.

“Yeah, it'd be hard to follow that up!” At this, Keitaro had a brilliant thought.

“We'll see, won't we?” before Naru could respond, Keitaro got up from his chair and headed towards the stage. Naru made a half-hearted attempt to stop him.

“Ha, Keitaro, don't.” But Keitaro was already up on the stage. Up on the stage, Keitaro licked his lips in anticipation. Oh please work! Keitaro took the microphone from its holder and put it to his lips.

“Hey, everyone. I'll be doing the song `Blackbird' by The Beatles.” Keitaro put his hand behind the curtain and summoned a guitar. When his hand re-emerged from the curtain, it seemed that somebody backstage had simply given him the guitar. Keitaro readied the guitar and heaved a sigh. Here goes nothing…Make me as good a musician as Paul McCartney! Keitaro felt a sensation similar to a small electric shock, signaling that his order had been followed. As if he had been playing for years, Keitaro began to play the song with no mistakes. When the time to sing came, Keitaro's voice reverberated throughout the entire room. “Blackbird singin' in the dead of night…” To Naru and everyone else's surprise, Keitaro sang the song almost better than Paul himself. When he had finished, the entire restaurant erupted in applause. Naru was left totally stunned. When did Keitaro learn to do THAT?! Keitaro gave a quick thank you to his audience, the hopped off the stage back to their table. “Well Naru-san,” he said smiling, “How did I do?” Naru responded by pulling Keitaro into a deep kiss. When she let go of him, they were both bright red.

“You did amazing, Keitaro.” Keitaro smiled, and pulled Naru into another kiss. Unbeknownst to the couple, Mitsune and Grim sat in the back of the room watching the entire thing. Mitsune, whom was partially drunk, started to laugh.

“Wow, who would have ever guessed Keitaro had it in him?” Grim nodded.

“Yeah, they finally kissed, huh?” Mitsune laughed again.

“Actually, I was talking about the guitar!” with a hic-up, Mitsune fell onto Grim's shoulder. “You have a cute face, Grieg.” Grim blushed.

“Thanks, Mitsune. You aren't so bad yourself.” Grim sighed, knowing that he was having the best time he'd had for as long as he could remember. “Thanks, Keitaro.”

Well, that's it for quarto! I hoped you liked it. Peace homies!
P.S. This isn't the end of the fic, so don't worry! There's still more!
