Part Twenty-Seven: Rolling On

Toshiko glanced at Jigen as the sun cleared the tree line, " That was great. I've never seen anything so beautiful. "

" Yeah, it was. Sorry about the coffee, " Jigen looked down at Toshiko's mug after he stubbed out his cigarette on the tiled roof. She had taken one sip of the coffee and hadn't touched it again.

" I usually don't drink coffee to begin with so don't feel bad, " Toshiko sighed.

" I'll make it a little weaker with some cream and sugar next time for you, " Jigen muttered as looked down, finding his mug was empty. He gave Toshiko a sheepish grin, " Do you mind? " He asked as he pointed to her mug.

" Oh no, I don't mind. Here, " Toshiko handed him her mug. " I liked the muffin. Did you make them? "

" Nope. That was Goemon's doing. He usually up early but Fujiko was too. It makes me wonder, " Jigen furrowed his brow.

" Maybe they couldn't sleep after hearing about what happened to us, " Toshiko offered.

Jigen shook his head, " Nah. I think they were worried about something else. "

" What could they be worried about? " Toshiko was puzzled.

Jigen shut his eyes; " They think I'm going to do something to you. Don't let them know I told you that though. "

" What would you do to me? " Toshiko furrowed her brow. She then blushed deeply, " I think I know what you mean. They think you're going to try to... " She stammered.

" Yeah, " Jigen muttered as he brought the coffee mug to his mouth. " Bingo. "

" Why would they think that though? " Toshiko glanced towards the tree line. " Fujiko and I have hardly talked since she came back. "

" I think she's jealous, " Jigen muttered as he took another drink of coffee. He put the mug down again, " I was paying attention to her but not like I'm paying attention to you. She was in trouble and I didn't want… "

" Her to get hurt? " Toshiko finished his sentence.

Jigen nodded as he lifted the mug again. " Yeah. It wasn't for me though. I didn't want Lupin to know about her and that guy. "

" Oh. Mr. Lupin likes Fujiko huh? " Toshiko looked at him again.

" 'Like' is too light of a term. He's obsessed with her, " Jigen shook his head. " Look, I really don't want to talk about her honey. Just the thought of the crap she's pulled makes my blood boil. "

" Oh, " Toshiko sighed. She took a deep breath then looked down at the roof, " But what if I want to do what they're afraid of with you? "

Jigen almost dropped Toshiko's mug as he stared at her. He set the mug down and continued to stare. " What did you just say? " He said slowly.

" What if I want to be with you like that? " Toshiko whispered. Her voice was trembling and her fingers were curled against the roof. It seemed she was using every bit of courage inside of her to say the words and her cheeks were as red as cherries.

Jigen's mouth was dry as he tried to think of something to say. Finally, he slipped a finger under her chin and tilted it so she was looking at him. " Are you sure? "

Toshiko nodded slowly, " Yes. "

" You are talking about when you're a little older, right? " Jigen wanted to make sure he wasn't jumping the gun.

" No. I mean like in the near future, " Toshiko murmured. " I was thinking about soon. I want to thank you for being so good to me. "

" Babe, don't think you have to give yourself to me just because I've saved your life… " Jigen started but she cut him off.

" It's not that I think I have to, " Toshiko lifted up one of her trembling hands and put it on Jigen's cheek. She leaned closer, " I want to because I want you. "

" Babe, we've only known each other for three days, " Jigen put a hand on top of hers. " That aside, it's a really big step to take. Are you sure you want to? "

" Only if it's with you, " Toshiko whispered.

Jigen felt electricity surge through him as she brought her mouth to his, kissing him gently. He hesitated before he returned the kiss, carefully flicking his tongue along the edges of her mouth to see what she would do. He was pleasantly surprised when she parted her lips and he explored her a little deeper. They broke for air and he gave her a warm smile, " How was that? "

Toshiko squirmed a little under his gaze, " I liked that. "

Jigen smiled then cut his eyes towards the ladder. He could hear someone climbing it and knew it was one of two people. He was slightly relieved when he saw the top of Goemon's head. " What do you want? " He asked sharply when the samurai climbed onto the roof, wondering just how much of their conversation he had heard.

" Breakfast is ready. Lupin wants everyone downstairs right now as well. "

Jigen noticed that Goemon was looking at them a little weird. " What's your problem? "

" Nothing, " Goemon replied stiffly. " May I have a word with you alone? "

Toshiko looked between Goemon and Jigen, " I guess that means I need to go. "

" Yeah babe. Go downstairs and don't let Fujiko bite you, " Jigen said as he stood up. He helped Toshiko to her feet and kissed the top of her head before she retreated to the ladder. He waited to hear the French doors shut then glared at Goemon. " What's so damn important? "

" I noticed she looked a little flushed, that's all. You haven't made her cry again, have you? "

Jigen rolled his eyes, " The girl is having a tough time so it's kind of hard to keep her from crying. "

" I suppose you are correct, " Goemon nodded once.

Jigen leaned down to collect his lighter and cigarettes. He got one out and lit it. He took a long drag then exhaled it after a few seconds. He took another drag before asking, " What does Lupin want us all for? "

" He says he has plans for today he wants to discuss with us, " Goemon said. " He wants everyone there. "

Jigen growled, " That's good because I have something I need to say to him. "

**

Lupin drummed his fingers on the table then picked at a loose thread on his black shirt, stopping when Toshiko came into the room. He smiled at her and stood up, offering his open arms to her. " Come here and give Uncle Lupin a hug. I heard you had a rough night. "

Toshiko walked over and hugged Lupin, " Yeah. I did, " She replied quietly.

" That's a spiffy outfit, " Lupin motioned to Toshiko's black long sleeve shirt and light blue jeans. It was quite a contrast to Fujiko's short skirt and halter-top.

" It's another one Mishi got for me, " Toshiko said. She shook the bell cuffs of the shirt, " I like it. "

" Come over here and sit with me, " Fujiko patted the chair next to her. " We can talk about last night. "

Toshiko gave Fujiko a wary look then looked at Lupin. He chuckled, " It's okay. She doesn't bite… unless you want her to. "

" Lupin! " Fujiko shouted as Toshiko walked to the place Fujiko told her to sit. She looked at Toshiko and smiled, " Don't mind him. "

" I don't, " Toshiko said quietly as she sat down. " He makes me laugh. "

Lupin looked at his watch, " Where are those two? "

" I hope Jigen is putting on some clothes at least, " Fujiko muttered. " That nightshirt leaves very little to the imagination first thing in the morning. "

Lupin narrowed his eyes, " You've lived with men long enough to know there's very little we have control of first thing in the morning. "

Toshiko furrowed her brow but decided not to ask. She looked towards the door as Jigen and Goemon walked in. He had changed into his fedora, a blue dress shirt, white tie and black slacks. He frowned when he saw Toshiko was sitting next to Fujiko but sat across from her in spite of that fact.

" Hey babe, " He said without bothering to look at Fujiko. He paid for his oversight a moment later when she kicked him in the shins. He hissed in pain and glared at Fujiko but said nothing.

Lupin arched an eyebrow, " What have I said about violence at the breakfast table? "

" He deserved it. You should have seen what he was doing to me earlier, " Fujiko gave Jigen a venomous glance. She looked at Toshiko then at Lupin, " But we'll have to discuss it in private for it may be too harsh for her to hear. "

Toshiko gave Jigen a confused look, " What is she talking about? "

" She's just trying to start shit. Don't listen to her. She's crazy, " Jigen muttered then turned to avoid another kick to the shins.

Lupin cleared his throat, " Stop it you two. "

Jigen looked at Fujiko, " You heard the man. Cut it out. "

Fujiko put one hand over Toshiko's eyes as she shot the finger at Jigen with the other. " You always have to have the last word, don't you? " Goemon muttered.

Lupin growled, " That's it. Jigen! You stay right there. Fujiko, you move over here next to me! "

Fujiko stood up and took her chair with her so she could sit where Lupin had told her to sit. " You better keep your hands to yourself, " She muttered under her breath. " I've been fondled enough for one morning by Jigen. "

Lupin looked at Jigen then looked at Fujiko. " Nice try but I'm not buying it. "

Fujiko let out a frustrated growl, " Whatever. What was so important that we had to eat together? "

" I'm glad you asked. Goemon, " Lupin looked at the samurai. " I heard Hideki is in the hospital in Yokohama and I need you to deliver some flowers to him. Fujiko, Take the rental car and ditch it about halfway in between. You go with Goemon to the hospital then. "

" But what about Ranma? What if he sees me? " Fujiko asked.

" I have a disguise for you. Yours will be a prefect compliment to Goemon's disguise, " Lupin looked at Goemon as he let out a low growl.

" I have to go all the way to Yokohama with her? " Goemon said in disgust.

Lupin nodded, " I'm afraid so. "

" Why can't you take me? " Fujiko gave Lupin a pleading look.

" I have too much business here to take care of, " Lupin waved his hand. " I have too much to do to waste time going to Yokohama. "

" Like what? " Fujiko frowned.

Lupin shrugged, " Stuff. "

Fujiko narrowed her eyes, " Great. It's another patented Lupin answer/non-answer. "

" It's stuff that has nothing to do with you is what he's trying to say, " Jigen glared at Fujiko.

" Yeah, " Lupin nodded.

Fujiko crossed her arms over her chest, " Feh. "

" Speaking of stuff that doesn't have to do with her, " Jigen glared at Lupin. " We need to talk later. "

Lupin looked confused for a moment then realized what Jigen was getting at. " I have to talk to you later anyway so it all evens out. Anyway, Fujiko and Goemon are going to Yokohama while I do some research in my office. I may go out later but I haven't decided. "

" I never said I was going to Yokohama with Goemon! " Fujiko growled. Her attitude changed drastically when Lupin shoved a wad of bills under her nose.

" I was going to get you a present but if you're going to be like that, I'll give you the cash instead. Knock yourself out, " Lupin sighed.

She snatched the money away and counted it. " Now that you put it that way… " She said and put the money in her halter-top.

" So avaricious, " Goemon muttered. He looked at everyone, " Can breakfast be served now or is there more business to discuss? "

Fujiko looked at Jigen, " What do you have him doing today since he can move around now? "

" He's resting, " Lupin looked at Jigen. " He deserves it after yesterday. I'm sure it was very traumatic for him. "

Jigen tilted his fedora back, " What do you mean? Getting shot at isn't that big of a deal to me. "

Lupin shook his head, " That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about your earth-shattering revelation that Mishi is a nice person. "

Jigen could have sworn Lupin gave him a quick wink but didn't press the issue. " Yeah. I never thought I'd have to set foot in her house. Being outside in the car was hard enough that time you had to drop off her check. "

" That's a real shitty excuse, " Fujiko said. " Why can't he take me to Yokohama? Goemon's supposed to be protecting Toshiko anyway. "

" She's just as safe in Jigen's hands, " Lupin said. " I also don't want the two of you trying to kill each other on the way over there. "

" He has a point, " Goemon nodded.

Jigen looked at Fujiko, " Nice try but I think I'll stay home. I have things I need to talk to Lupin about. "

Lupin smiled, " I'm so flattered but we must eat now. Goemon, if you would. "

**

Zenigata watched as Kagehiko looked over the pictures and letter. " This is the kind of thing we need to break this case wide open, " He muttered. He looked at Zenigata, " I hope other kids will come forward once they know about your daughter. "

" I don't want anyone knowing about Toshiko until Ryousuke is in jail, " Zenigata shut his eyes. " I would venture to say she is probably scared of him and the people who have her might not like it very much if she were exposed without him being in custody. "

" You sound rather sure of yourself, " Kagehiko took off his glasses and looked at Zenigata seriously. " Do you have any idea of her whereabouts? "

Zenigata looked down at the table, " She's been in touch but I have no idea where she is. I haven't told Toshi yet because I feel she might resent me if I can't tell her where Toshiko is exactly. "

" Why don't you have Toshiko send a letter to her mother so she knows she's okay? " Kagehiko fingered the edge of one of the photos.

" If I hear from her again, I can suggest it. "

Kagehiko arched an eyebrow, " It would be wise. "

" I don't like the idea though, " Zenigata shifted in this seat uncomfortably. " You see, Ryousuke's hired a private investigator and the letter may make it into his hands somehow. "

" You're afraid, even if it doesn't contain her location, the private investigator will find her. Am I right? " Kagehiko said.

" Even after all these years, you still think like I do. Too bad you wanted to stay here instead of going to ICPO when I did. We would have made a good team, " Zenigata shook his head. " Lupin would probably be in jail by now. "

" I wanted to stay here and make my difference on this level, " Kagehiko smiled wistfully. " Besides, trying to keep up with Lupin would have fried my brain. You know I'm nowhere near as intelligent as you. "

" Don't say that. You're a smart guy, " Zenigata said.

The sound of something falling through the mail flap attracted both of the men's attention. " Oh. The morning paper is here, " Kagehiko got up to get it. He handed it to Zenigata, " Here you go. "

Zenigata opened up the paper, his eyes going to the story that took up the bottom part of the front page. " What do you know about this? " He folded the paper over and showed it to Kagehiko.

Kagehiko looked the story over, " That happened yesterday. Witnesses said a man was chasing a man and a woman in a taxicab but the driver of the cab pulled a gun and shot the guy. From what I understand, it was a perfect shot right between the eyes. The cab was found later near a part of town where we have to take a whole squad in just to ask where the convenience store is. "

" What kind of condition was the car in? " Zenigata felt his stomach knot. He only knew of a handful of people that could shoot with such great accuracy and one of them had been with his daughter.

" There were bullet holes in the windshield and the rear windshield was shot out. A bullet was also pulled from the back of the front seat just half an inch from where the passenger would have been sitting, " Kagehiko opened up the paper and showed Zenigata a picture of a man. " This was the guy they pulled from the other car. The car exploded shortly before it veered off the road and into a waterway. "

Zenigata glanced at the picture and recognized the man from the ramen shop. " He used to eat at the same place I go to for lunch every day. I heard he was a private investigator but I never really talked to him outside of asking him to pass me a napkin. "

" A private investigator? " Kagehiko chuckled. " That's interesting. He was probably chasing some cheating husband down and got more than he bargained for. "

Zenigata nodded, his sixth sense going wild. He knew that it had to be the private investigator Ryousuke had hired. He glanced at another picture on the page. It was of the taxicab that had been chased and his eyes went wide.

" What's the matter? " Kagehiko noticed Zenigata's expression change.

" Nothing, " Zenigata shut the paper. " I just felt really bad all of a sudden. I need some more rest I guess. "

Kagehiko stood up, " Then I will let you rest. Is it okay if I take one of these pictures and the letter for evidence? "

Zenigata waved his hand, " Yes. Just remember to keep this quiet. "

" I will. "

**

Jigen sat on the couch with Toshiko as he looked at the newspaper. He really wasn't reading it but more hiding behind it. He felt like he was being setup somehow. Lupin had made sure everyone was out of the house so he was alone with Toshiko and it seemed fishy.

He knew better than to think Lupin was completely oblivious to what was happening but he gave the impression he was preoccupied with other things. Lupin was usually up on everything that was going on whether it was apparent or not so him being unaware of anything was unusual. ~I wonder what he's trying to pull… ~ Jigen thought then heard Toshiko take a breath like she was going to speak.

" So we're alone? " She asked quietly. She had been watching television but she seemed disinterested in the show that was on.

" Yeah. Lupin had to go into town after all and the other two should just be halfway to Yokohama by now, " Jigen muttered from behind the paper.

Toshiko sighed and leaned on him a little bit. " Did Mr. Lupin say when he was going to be back? "

Jigen startled a little at the contact then relaxed the best he could. " Nope. He didn't say. "

Toshiko started picking at the couch cushion, " Oh. "

Jigen pulled down one corner of the paper, " What's wrong? "

" I'm bored, " Toshiko sighed.

" I could tell, " Jigen muttered. He was fighting off the urge to fulfill the request she had made on the roof. He had been thinking about it since she told him how she felt. He had gone over his reasons not to sleep with the girl but they all seemed to become moot after her confession.

~I guess if she wants to then it's okay right? ~ He asked himself. He glanced around the paper at her and found she was trying to watch the television but he could tell she wasn't interested. He then directed his eyes at her bosom. The top she wore had a low neckline and he could see her cleavage.

~Damn she's got some nice tits, ~ the thought crossed his mind before he had a chance to stop it. She still hadn't noticed he was looking at her so he decided to check her out a little more. He figured looking her over wouldn't hurt. There was really no telling how many guys had looked her over and he knew it was something she was probably used to.

He let his eyes continue lower, taking in her narrow waist and lean legs. He was pretty certain that she looked like a million bucks underneath her clothes in spite of the scarring she had suffered. He recalled how she looked from behind when she had posed for the pictures and how it had taken his breath away. He knew her front had to just as magnificent.

He averted his eyes back to the paper, ~Damn it! What the hell am I doing? ~ He scolded himself. ~I shouldn't be thinking about her like that even if she does want me. She can't be certain about that though. She didn't know what she was saying up there. ~

" You asked me about playing darts, " Toshiko looked at him again. She seemed unaware that he had been looking her over.

" Yeah, I did. You said you never played, " Jigen acted like he was very enthralled by the newspaper.

" Can you teach me? " Toshiko asked.

Jigen thought it over for a moment, figuring it wouldn't hurt. Teaching her how to play would keep his mind off of other things and she would be learning some good hand-eye coordination. ~Maybe that will keep her mind off of bugging me to sleep with her, ~ He told himself.

" Well? " Toshiko gave him a pleading look.

" I guess it wouldn't hurt anything, " He put down the paper. His mind suddenly flashed to a scene where he was showing Toshiko exactly how to aim and throw the dart. He was standing behind her in the vision, her back pressed tight against his body as he held her hand in his. He saw himself lean down to whisper the directions into her ear.

The idea of being so close to her and what could result from that closeness made his mouth go dry. He wasn't exactly fine with sitting on the couch with her but having her tight lean body pressed so close to his would be his undoing. He was starting to feel that sitting next to her was getting to be too much, ~ I need to get away from her for a bit and straighten out my head. ~

He remembered he hadn't gotten the Magnum out of the truck. He could tell her that he needed to get that and put the truck in the back because it was true but what he needed was time to think. He shut his eyes, " Babe. I'm sorry. I can't show you how to play darts after all. "

" Why not? " Toshiko looked at him.

" I just remembered I have to go get my gun out of the truck. I left it there last night when I carried you in. I have to clean it too so I guess the darts will have to wait, " He said. He left out the part about putting up the truck so he could use it as an excuse when he came back.

" My new clothes are still out there so I need to go too, " Toshiko said.

" I'll bring those in, " Jigen waved his hand as he stood up. " You just stay here and relax. "

Toshiko leaned back slowly, " Oh. Okay. "

Jigen walked towards the front door, glancing over his shoulder. He opened the front door and stepped outside, frowning when he found the truck had already been moved. He remembered he had parked it behind the Benz so that meant Lupin had to move it in order to leave. He turned around and found a note taped to the door. He took it and read it…

Jigen,

I had to move the truck. Your stuff and Toshiko's new clothes are in the hall closet. I figured you were going to come out for them eventually. Have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do.

L

~What wouldn't Lupin do though? ~ Jigen mused as folded the note and put it in his pocket then he walked back into the house. He opened the closet and found the bags but didn't find the Magnum. He growled as he picked up the bags to take them to Toshiko when he noticed one was a little heavier than it should have been. He set it down and opened it, finding Lupin had dropped the gun into it.

He reached in and pulled the gun out with a pair of purple lace panties dangling of the end of the barrel. He stared at them for a second then shook them off the gun and back into the bag. ~Maybe Lupin just dropped the gun in there because it was the first bag he got out. He wouldn't do it on purpose would he? ~ Jigen thought it over then decided it was something Lupin would do after all.

~What is he up to anyway? ~ Jigen frowned as he put the Magnum in its usual place under his jacket and walked back to the living room. He panicked for a second because he couldn't see Toshiko but soon found her. She was lying down on the couch and watching the television. " I'm back, " He said and startled her.

Toshiko sat up, " That was quick. What happened? "

" Lupin had to move the truck so he could get out and I guess he decided to take our stuff out, " Jigen looked at Toshiko for a long moment after he stopped speaking. He just couldn't take his eyes off of her.

" Is something wrong? " Toshiko stood up.

Jigen shook his head, " No. Um, " He held out the bags to her. " If you're bored, you could always put these upstairs. "

" I could, " Toshiko said as she took them. " Do you want to come with me and see what Mishi bought?

Jigen put his hands up, " I'd love to but I have some stuff I need to take care of in my room. "

Toshiko's shoulders sagged, " Oh. Okay. Thanks for bringing the stuff to me. "

" No problem, " Jigen said as Toshiko walked to the stairs. He watched her until she climbed to the top and turned down the hall. He waited until he heard her door shut then went upstairs as well.

**

Fujiko sat back down in the sidecar after leaving the rental car on the side of a lesser-traveled road. Goemon had followed her but didn't look very happy because she had taken them ten kilometers out of the way when they had agreed on ditching the car five kilometers of the regular road. She was about to put on her helmet when Goemon cleared his throat. " What's wrong? " She arched an eyebrow.

" I want to talk to you and this seems to be the best place for it, " Goemon said.

" What do you want to talk about? " Fujiko replied.

" I want to know why you are so jealous of Toshiko. "

Fujiko scoffed, " Please. I'm not jealous of anyone. "

" You can say that as much as you want but it just makes me believe you less, " Goemon was stern. " Lupin told you about her in complete confidence that you would understand but it seems it has only fueled your anger towards Jigen. "

Fujiko glared at Goemon, " I don't know how you can stand by and let him be so close to her. You may as well let a fox sleep with the chickens. He kissed her for God's sake! "

" If I remember correctly, you hate Jigen so why would you be bothered if something occurs between Toshiko and him? " Goemon arched an eyebrow.

" It's not him I'm looking out for. It's Toshiko. She's just a child, " Fujiko said. " This has nothing to do with Jigen. "

Goemon gave her half a smirk, " Mine Fujiko… you are a terrible liar. "

Fujiko huffed, " I'm not lying. "

" Not very long ago, I had a similar conversation with someone that went in about this same direction. He insisted he only wanted to help you for Lupin's sake but I could tell that wasn't the case, " Goemon looked Fujiko in the eyes. " Do you know what I'm referring to? "

Fujiko thought about it for a moment, " I'm guessing you're talking about Jigen. "

" Very good. He was very concerned with your safety but he kept telling me that it was for Lupin. I urged him to have Lupin deal with you but he refused. I told him he had no responsibility and to let you die but he refused, " Goemon caught Fujiko by the wrist as she tried to slap him.

" You told him to let me die? " Fujiko hissed. " How could you? "

" I was testing him. He refused that as well, " Goemon grabbed Fujiko's other wrist as she tried to strike at him with her other hand. " I didn't mean it so calm down. "

" What are you getting at? " Fujiko struggled in his grip but he didn't relent.

" I am getting at the fact that you are jealous because you have developed some feelings for Jigen, " Goemon hissed as he fought with her.

Fujiko stilled, staring at Goemon like he had just burned her. She relaxed her arms and he let go probably thinking she was finished fighting. She thought about his words for all of a nanosecond before shoving him off the bike and right into the huge mud puddle he had parked next to. " That's preposterous! " She shouted as she stood up in the sidecar so she could yell at the samurai.

Goemon narrowed his eyes, " You are only angry because I am correct! "

Fujiko crossed her arms over her chest, " That's bullshit. "

Goemon growled, " Fine then. Believe what you want to but I feel it is the truth. "

Fujiko cut her eyes towards him, " Whatever. Get out of that puddle so we can give Hideki his flowers. "

Goemon tried to stand up but he kept slipping. After several tries, he glared at Fujiko. " Help me up, woman! "

Fujiko got out of the sidecar and walked around to Goemon. She kicked off her high heels and put a hand out to him. He took it and tried to get up again, making a little more progress. Fujiko growled as she pulled him, " Why were you stupid enough to park next to a puddle anyway? "

" I wouldn't have if we had stopped where we had agreed to, " Goemon responded. He could feel his foot slipping again but didn't say anything to Fujiko about it. He was in the mood for a little payback so he didn't let go of her hand when he fell again. She let out a surprised scream as she fell face first into the mud with him.

She pushed herself up on her arms and glared at him. " Asshole! You did that on purpose! "

" My foot slipped! I did not have time to tell you! " Goemon said. The part about the foot slipping was true at least.

Fujiko growled and grabbed a handful of mud, throwing it in Goemon's face. He was shocked by her action but quickly returned the favor. She let out another frustrated growl before lunging at him and pushing him down halfway. He pushed back and succeeded in covering her back with mud.

She sat up, " Now you've done it! "

Goemon tried to scramble away but she grabbed him by the waistband of his pants and jumped on his back. He cursed the fact he was wearing the biker disguise or else he would have been able to get away. He tried to climb out of the puddle again but it was a little tough with Fujiko punching him in the back. Her extra weight gave him enough traction to crawl out and onto the grass though.

" Get off woman! " He hissed as he tried to rear back and strike at her. He didn't intend to hurt her but he wanted her off of him. He knew she would pull his hair if he let her continue.

" I'm not finished with you yet! " Fujiko did exactly as he thought she would, yanking his ponytail hard.

Goemon growled and put his hands underneath her rear and tried to stand up. He fell when Fujiko screeched in his ear and he realized the cloth under his fingers wasn't her skirt. Fujiko let him go and scrambled away as he sat up, knowing his cheeks were red. " I'm sorry, " He muttered.

Fujiko glanced at him, " What is today? Is it Everyone Molest Fujiko Day or what? First Jigen and now you… "

" It was an accident. I was trying to get you off, " Goemon said.

" I see that, " Fujiko said coldly. She looked down at her clothes, " Damn it. We'll never be able to see Hideki like this. "

Goemon nodded, " This is true. We need to find some place to get cleaned up. "

Fujiko glanced down the road. " We're only halfway. We could always go home and try again once we're cleaned up. "

" You do have a point. Perhaps we should. "
