Daddy's Girl

(Lupin isn't mine.  Toshi comes around to find the last person she expected taking care of her.  Things get hot with Toshiko and Jigen again.)

Part Thirty-Three: In The Company Of Wolves

Toshi felt a cold rag being dabbed on her face as someone held her hand.  " Wake up.  Come on.  The cops will need to talk to you too. "

" The cops? " Toshi murmured as she slowly opened her eyes.  She looked around and guessed she had been moved to the couch in the living room.  She heard the rag being wrung out next to her, her eyes going wide when she saw who was trying to get her to wake up.  " You, " She breathed in disbelief.

" Yeah, " Lupin smiled kindly at her.  He gave her a slightly teasing grin, " I didn't think you'd pass out but I'm used to it.  There are a lot of women that can't handle my dashing good looks. "

Toshi put a hand to her forehead, " This isn't happening.  How could this be happening?  You're my husband's enemy.  Why are you helping us? "

Lupin chuckled, " I may be Pops' enemy but I'm your daughter's friend.  Toshi, this has nothing to do with Pops and everything to do with your baby girl. "

" Toshiko? " Toshi gasped.  She sat up quickly and grabbed Lupin by the shirt.  She narrowed her eyes,  " Where's my baby? "

Lupin put a hand on Toshi's shoulder, " Toshiko is in safe hands.  We sent her out of town so she wouldn't get involved in this mess.  She should have never been involved in the first place but I guess there was no helping it. "

Toshi tightened her grip, " Where is she? " She demanded sharply.  Her eyes were alive with the fire of a mother tiger fighting for her cub.  " I need to know! "

Lupin put his hands up, " Settle down.  She's safe and uninjured.  Isn't that good enough for you? "

" Goemon said she was with Daisuke Jigen and he would molest her! " Toshi hissed.

Lupin rolled his eyes and murmured, " Thanks a lot, Goemon. "

Toshi gave Lupin a hard shake, " Is it true? "

Lupin sighed, " Goemon's a pessimist of the highest order.  Toshiko is safe with Jigen though I think you should know… "

" I should know what? " Toshi growled.

" Your daughter's taken a liking to him, " Lupin replied.  He gave a little chuckle, " She's taken a liking to all of us actually with maybe an exception to Fujiko but they really haven't talked much so I really don't know. "

Toshi tightened her grip on his shirt, " What have you done to my baby girl?  How have the four of you perverted her? "

" Could you let up on the shirt? " Lupin put his hands on Toshi's wrists.  " It's silk and you're pretty strong.  I don't want you ripping it.  It'll be hard enough getting it to smooth out where you've been grabbing me. "

" Fuck your damned shirt! " Toshi growled. 

Lupin acted shocked, " What a dirty word to be coming from your pretty mouth, Toshi.  Just settle down. "

" I can't settle down!  I want to know what you bastards have done to my daughter! "

Lupin narrowed his eyes and his grip tightened around Toshi's wrists until he pinched the nerves, forcing her to let go.  He got right in her face, " You want to know what we've done to Toshiko?  I'll tell you if you're going to be this hostile about it. "

Toshi glared defiantly as she struggled to break free of Lupin's grip.  " I swear I'll kill you if my baby's been harmed in any way. "

" Are you going to kill me because we showed Toshiko what a normal family can be like? " Lupin said sharply.

Toshi scoffed, " How can you even dare to say that?  What about you and your cohorts classifies as normal?  You're a bunch of dysfunctional criminals! "

" That may be true but let me tell you, " Lupin's tone became dead serious.  " Our little gang is all the family we have.  I don't have anyone left that I know of or care to know of, Goemon doesn't have anything but a bunch of distant cousins and Jigen can't even see his own mother because he'd be putting her in danger if he did.  I don't even think Fujiko has anyone she could call family but the four of us get by. "

" He is correct you know, " Goemon stood in the doorway that led to the bedroom.  " In some decidedly strange way, we are like a family though I am not very certain just what our exact roles are. "

Lupin didn't take his glare off of Toshi, " Is he tied up? "

" I doubt that even you could get out of the job Fujiko did, " Goemon gave a slight smirk.  " Fujiko is calling the police as we speak.  Perhaps I should try talking to Toshi? "

Lupin shook his head, " I doubt you could get through to her. "

" Let me try, " Goemon walked to the chair Lupin was sitting in.  He knelt down so he was on eye level with Toshi, " Toshi? "

" What? " Toshi gave Goemon a cold glare.

" We have done nothing except treat your child as princess.  We have gotten her nice clothes, kept her fed and kept her safe.  I think it is safe to say that she has blossomed quite a bit in just a very short time, " Goemon told Toshi gently.

" How can you tell me this when earlier you told me she was in danger of being molested by that Daisuke Jigen person? " Toshi's glare did not relent.

Goemon cast his eyes to the floor, " I feel I was out of line when I said that.  I was angered by Zenigata's comment and I feel I said that to get back at him for his lack of faith in me. "

" So you didn't mean it? " Toshi arched an eyebrow.

" I fear I did not, " Goemon said quietly.  " Please forgive me for making you worry.  My pride was wounded and I should have thought before I spoke.  Jigen is much more trustworthy than I implied. "

" Damn straight, " Lupin muttered.  He looked at Toshi, " If you want to know the truth he was the one afraid WE were going to molest Toshiko. "

" It was unwarranted in my case but it is the truth, " Goemon cut his eyes towards Lupin.  " You have to understand Jigen has done everything in his power to make sure Toshiko remained unharmed. "

Toshi sighed then looked at Lupin again, " Okay then.  But could you at least tell me where she is?  I've been so worried since she disappeared from her roommate's apartment. "

Lupin glanced at Goemon, " She's only an hour away.  I plan on bringing her back to Tokyo by tomorrow since we caught Ryousuke this quickly.  I had anticipated a longer chase than this. "

Toshi cast her eyes to the floor, " I understand.  How will I know when Toshiko is back in town? "

" Are you going to stay here with Pops? " Lupin glanced towards the bedroom.  " He really needs someone to take care of him until that leg gets better. "

Toshi bit her lip and shut her eyes.  " I have to stay here.  I never want to go back to the house I shared with that monster. "

" Then I will come and get you, " Lupin let go of her wrists and took her hands in his.  " I swear. "

Goemon put a hand on Lupin's shoulder.  " We should leave.  I hear the sirens. "

Lupin let go of one of Toshi's hands and reached into his jacket.  He put a cassette tape on the end table.  " Give this to the police. "

" What is it? " Toshi looked at the tape then looked at Lupin.

" I recorded Ryousuke's confession.  This should put him away for a long time, " Lupin said and kissed Toshi's forehead.  He stood up, letting her hand fall out of his as he did.  He winked at her, " See you later. "

Jigen opened his eyes slowly, searching the darkness for the alarm clock.  He frowned, noticing the nightlight that had been providing a scant amount of light had burnt out as he slept.  He found the glowing green aura of the clock and tried to focus on the numbers.  ~Just like clockwork, ~ He thought to himself as he untangled himself from Toshiko's embrace.  She had worked her other arm loose from the blanket and had been clinging to him in her sleep.

He sat up on the edge of the bed and got a cigarette with one hand as he turned on the bedside lamp with the other.  He struck a match and lit it, taking a long drag from the Pall Mall.  He realized he hadn't had one since he had got the nerve up to come back to bed.  He guessed he had forgotten because of the other things he had on his mind.

He glanced over his shoulder at the sleeping young woman.  The night prior seemed like a dream but he knew better.  There was a stain on the comforter that reminded him it was all too real.  He sighed then flicked some of the ashes from his cigarette into the ashtray as he ran a hand through his hair.

He puffed on the cigarette for a long time, thinking about a lot of things as it slowly became smaller.  He nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt a hand touch his back and bring him back into reality.  He slowly looked at Toshiko, " Hey. "

" Hey yourself, " Toshiko murmured sleepily.

Jigen smiled sheepishly and held out the cigarette, " I needed one.  I didn't mean to wake you. "

" It's okay, " She said as she put an arm under her head to prop it up a bit.

Jigen turned a little more so he could look at her better.  He glanced down and noticed the blanket had fallen away from her breasts.  He waved his hand towards her as he glanced away, " You've got a problem. "

Toshiko looked down and blushed a little, pulling the blanket up so she was covered up.  " Sorry. "

" I don't mind, " Jigen chuckled gently as he returned his gaze to her.  " I figured you would though. "

Toshiko glanced away as her blush deepened, " You've seen them so I guess you wouldn't mind. "

Jigen gave her a sly look, " I've seen everything but that doesn't mean you have to have it all hanging out if it makes you feel uncomfortable. "

" Yeah, " She breathed.

They both fell into an uncomfortable silence as they looked away from each other.  Jigen finished his cigarette and put it out in the ashtray.  He looked back at Toshiko, " Are you ready for breakfast? "

Toshiko thought about it then gave him a timid look.  " Can we stay here a little longer?  I'm still sleepy and it's still really early for me. "

Jigen sighed, " I guess so. "

Toshiko watched as he lay back down on the bed, lying on his side to face her.  He didn't get back under the covers so she looked him over.  " Why do you sleep in that? " She asked, referring to his nightshirt.

Jigen looked down, " It's comfortable. "

" Oh, " Toshiko looked him over again then at the comforter and took a sharp breath before looking at his face again.  " Are you okay? "

" Why do you ask? " Jigen arched an eyebrow.

Toshiko pointed to the stain on the comforter.  " Where did this blood come from? "

Jigen took Toshiko's hand in his, " It came from you last night. "

Toshiko's eyes grew wide, " Oh my.  Will I be okay? "

Jigen felt a pang of guilt at her naiveté.  " You'll be just fine, " He held her hand tight.  " That's why it hurt when I pushed into you. "

" Will it happen every time? " Toshiko's tone was serious. 

" No babe, " Jigen murmured.  " It was because last night was your first time. "

" Oh, " Toshiko nodded.  " I guess I shouldn't have skipped sex education class. "

Jigen couldn't help but laugh, " Damn.  Most kids are on the edge of their seats for that class "

" Don't laugh, " Toshiko frowned.  " A girl threatened me with a razor blade and I skipped school for a week to avoid getting into a fight with her. "

" Jesus.  I don't blame you.  What happened to her? " Jigen asked.

" She attacked someone else and got expelled.  By the time word got to me, the sex ed part of the class was over so I missed it. "

" I'm really sorry.  I shouldn't have laughed, " Jigen sighed.

Toshiko looked hurt; " I guess you think I'm an idiot now. "

" I never said that, " Jigen stroked the back of her hand with his thumb.  " You're a very smart girl and I can understand why you skipped out. "

Toshiko was quiet for a long moment as she stared at him.  She wiggled her hand loose from his and took it in hers.  She held it firmly as she looked him in the eyes.  She took a deep breath, " Do you think we could… " She said slowly.

" Do I think we could what? " Jigen knew what she was getting at.  He knew he would be powerless to deny her because he had been thinking about it as well.  He knew two wrongs didn't make a right but being so close to her was making him a mess again.

Toshiko looked away, " Can we do it again? "

Jigen sighed, " Babe.  We really shouldn't.  I mean, I had a great time last night and don't get me wrong but we shouldn't. "

" Why not? " Toshiko furrowed her brow.

" Because… " Jigen shook his head.

" It's the age thing again. "

Jigen nodded, " Yeah.  There are other reasons too but I guess that would top the list. "

" Then what about last night? " Toshiko arched an eyebrow.  " What makes now any different than then? "

Jigen rolled his eyes and let out a heavy sigh.  " Babe… I was at the end of my rope.  You have to understand that guys are weak when faced with decisions like that. "

" So you did it because you had to? " Toshiko prodded.

Jigen shut his eyes, " I did it because I wanted to but I shouldn't have… "

Toshiko let go of his hand, " I see.  You really don't like me. "

Jigen opened his eyes, " I like you.  Please don't get me wrong.  I… I was supposed to protect you and Lupin trusted me to do that. "

" You've kept me safe so far, " Toshiko said.

Jigen nodded, " Yeah… relatively. " 

She moved closer to Jigen, " And there's something you forgot. "

Jigen looked at her, " What's that? "

" You saved me twice so I need to thank you twice, " She murmured as she brought her lips to his.

Jigen relented, kissing her back.  She pulled away from him for air and he sighed heavily.  " You have a point, " He muttered.  " God, I am so dead if your dad or mom ever finds out. "

" They won't, " Toshiko said.  " I won't tell if you won't tell. "

" I don't plan on telling, " Jigen smiled.  He knew Lupin would prod him for details later but he knew that his best friend wouldn't blab.

" We don't have to if you don't want to, " Toshiko whispered.

Jigen shut his eyes, " That's the problem.  I want to and you want to so… "

" So what's stopping you? " Toshiko inquired.

Jigen thought about it and realized his arguments were useless.  He really did want the girl again.  He recalled the guilt from the night before and his awkward feelings afterwards but they didn't seem to matter anymore.  He felt himself losing the fight and decided one more time wouldn't hurt anything.

They had done it once and she had no ill feelings towards him, something that hadn't happened in a long time.  She was asking him and she had asked him the first time as well.  He recalled something Lupin had said once but he couldn't put his finger just exactly when or pertaining to though the words seemed to fit the situation perfectly.  ~'You can't take advantage of the willing,' ~ He heard his friend's voice clearly in him mind.

" Jigen? " Toshiko waved a hand in front of his face.

He looked at her, " Are you sure you want to do it again? " He had to ask.  He needed to hear her agree to it again.  That would justify it in his mind that what he had done and what he was about to do wasn't wrong.

Toshiko nodded, " Yes. "

Jigen grinned, " Okay then.  Here we go before either of us changes our mind. "

Toshiko smiled as he brought his lips to hers, kissing her slowly at first then becoming more intense.  He moved his hands to her shoulders before he pulled away for air.  He urged her onto her back then unwrapped the blanket from around her.  Once she was completely exposed to him, he sat back on his legs and pulled his nightshirt off.  He tossed it aside then leaned back down to kiss Toshiko again as he put his hands by her sides.

He was pleasantly surprised when she put her hands on his chest and started shyly stroking him.  He enjoyed her gentle touches for a few moments before he moved back to start kissing his way down her throat.  Her hands went to his shoulders as he nuzzled her breasts, his beard prickling her skin and causing her to giggle.  He got an idea, moving to tickle her nipples with his whiskers and was pleased with the loud panting laugh she let out.

" Stop that!  It really tickles! " Toshiko pushed on his shoulders.  Her protests were quieted when he flicked his tongue across one of her nipples before he drew it into his mouth.

He shifted his weight to his left arm so he could use his right hand to fondle her other breast, her fingers dancing across his shoulder blades as he did.  She let out a frustrated cry as he pulled away and moved off of her.  " Don't stop, " She whispered huskily.

" I'm not, " Jigen replied as moved to her side.  " I just don't want to forget something. "

Toshiko watched as he reached into the bedside table and pulled out a foil packet.  He clutched it in his hand and moved back to her.  He kissed her deeply then pulled away.  " We can't afford to forget about you, " He murmured as he slipped it under his pillow.

" Oh, " Toshiko nodded. 

Jigen slipped his hand down her stomach and dipping it between her slightly parted thighs.  He stroked her delicate folds gently, certain they were still tender from the night before.  She made little noises in her throat as he caressed her, parting her legs more as he delved into her and stroked her clitoris.  One of her hands went to his right shoulder while the other went to his left forearm as he slid his finger deeper. 

Toshiko's hips started moving with his stroking, her breath becoming faster and shorter.  He quickly pulled his finger out and moved to put the condom on as quickly as possible.  Once he had it on, he moved between her legs.  He pressed against her opening, leaning forward to kiss her deeply as he pushed into her.

He waited just a second before he started thrusting, slowly at first then let go of her mouth as he quickened the pace.  She wrapped her arms under his, her nails digging into his shoulders as she gasped and panted.  He had almost pushed her over the edge and had to play catch up.  Her pants turned into cries letting him know she was almost there when he heard the one thing he hated to hear during sex: The telephone.

He didn't want to stop so he let the phone ring.  His body was getting painfully tight and whoever it was could wait until he was finished.  He clenched his teeth as Toshiko cried out, her core snapping tight around him.  He thrust into her as she climaxed, his own coming on hard and fast a few moments later.

He collapsed onto her as ecstasy rippled through him, numbly realizing the phone was still ringing.

" Jigen? " Toshiko panted.

" Yeah babe? "

" I think the phone is ringing, " Toshiko managed to pant out.

Jigen growled, " I know. "

" Aren't you going to answer it? " Her flushed face took on a look of confusion.  " It might be… "

Jigen pulled out of her and moved to the edge of the bed.  " I know. "

Toshiko pushed herself up on an elbow, " Do you think they've found Ryousuke this quickly? "

" Lupin's probably just checking in, " Jigen glanced at the clock and found it was much later than he thought.  He pulled the condom off and threw it away before grabbing his nightshirt.  He pulled it on then stood up, " I'll be right back. "

Toshiko moved to get out of the bed, pulling the blanket around her.   " I'm coming too. "

Jigen glanced over his shoulder, " You don't have to. "

" Yes I do, " Toshiko got out of the bed and nearly toppled over.  She frowned and looked at Jigen.  " My legs are sore. "

" Yeah.  That does happen, " Jigen put a hand out to her.  " You still want to come along? "

She nodded, " Help me down the hall. "

" I planned on it. "

Toshiko took Jigen's hand and let him help her to her feet.  She hissed from the stiffness in her legs as he slid an arm around her shoulders.  She held the blanket with one hand as she held onto to Jigen with the other.  They walked out into the hall and got to the phone.  " Damn.  He's sure persistent, " He muttered as he counted the fifteenth ring since Toshiko informed him that the phone was ringing.

He picked it up, " It's seven o'clock in the morning.  This had better be good. "

" Jesus Jigen, " Lupin said.  " What the hell took you so long?  I got a cup of coffee and smoked a cigarette while the phone was ringing. "

Jigen glanced at Toshiko, " I was… busy.  What is it? "

" Busy huh? " Lupin chuckled, " This is going to sound weird. "

" What's going to sound weird? " Jigen arched an eyebrow.

Lupin stifled more laughter; " It's usually you that's telling me to keep it in my pants. "

" Fuck you, " Jigen growled as Lupin lost his battle with the laughter.  " You had better tell me why you called this friggin' early in the next five seconds or I'm hanging up. "

Lupin stopped cold.  He took a deep breath, " We caught Ryousuke at two a.m. this morning. "

" You're shitting me, " Jigen looked at Toshiko.

" I wouldn't shit you, " Lupin started.

" You can stop there because you know I hate that line, " Jigen growled.  " Do you want me to tell Toshiko? "

" Go ahead, " Lupin said.  He then slyly added, " If she's not busy. "

" She's right next to me stupid, " Jigen replied.  He put the phone to his chest and looked at the girl.  " Brace yourself. "

Toshiko furrowed her brow, " Is it good or bad? "

" It's fantastic " Jigen grinned.  " They caught him. "

Toshiko jerked the phone out of Jigen's hand and put it to her ear.  " Is it true? "

" Yes it is, " Lupin beamed.  

Toshiko dropped the phone, looking happy and like she was going to cry at the same time.  Jigen quickly jerked it up by the cord and put it back to his ear as the girl wrapped her arms around him.  " You still there? " He asked.

" Yeah.  How'd she take it? " Lupin asked.

" She's latched onto me and hugging me to death, " Jigen said.  " I think she liked that news. "

" Bring her back to Tokyo, " Lupin said then stopped.  " Wait.  Scratch that.  I'm coming to get you two. "

Jigen arched an eyebrow, " Why? "

" I don't want you two making any little side trips if you catch what I mean, " Lupin's tone spoke volumes. 

" You know I hate repeating myself but fuck you, " Jigen shot back.

" I'm only looking out for you both, " Lupin said.  His tone then took on a more impish tone, " I also have something to show you and it would be better not to show it to you in front of Goemon and Fujiko. "

Jigen became suspicious, " What is it? "

" Let's just say that a picture is worth a thousand words, " Lupin purred.  " That is, if you can keep from laughing long enough to talk. "

" Lupin, " Jigen growled.

Lupin chuckled, " I'll explain when I get there.  Later! "

Jigen listened as Lupin hung up the phone.  He put the receiver back in the cradle before looking down at Toshiko but she didn't look up.  " You okay? " He asked because she was still clinging to him.

She nodded slowly, " Yeah… I feel like a ton of weight's been lifted off of my shoulders. "

Jigen gave her a squeeze, " Me too. "

Toshiko was quiet for a long moment before looked up at him, a little grin on her lips.  " I'm starving. "

Jigen laughed and kissed her forehead, " So am I. "
