Author’s Notes: These characters do not belong to me. This is simply a story that I created in my head that uses a few of the characters created by Fuyumi Soryo. This is also my first attempt at writing fan fiction, so please review. There is a *lemon* scene in Chapter 3.
Chapter 1
Lunar Eclipse Upon Us
They sat together, her head resting on his shoulder. Her hair tickled his nose as he breathed in her scent longing to hold her closer. One of his hands rested on her shoulder while his other hand covered her hands in her lap. ’I wish we could be like this forever’ thought Kira. The site of the lunar eclipse had caused her to seek out Rei tonight. She really wanted to have someone to share this moment with. She felt safe with him, her protector.
It seemed like a long time had passed before his rough low voice broke the still night air. “Hey, you want to lay down? My neck is starting to cramp.” Kira nodded in agreement as Rei began to lie down on his back. He got comfortable; Kira lie down next to him on the grass holding his hand. She was so mesmerized by the moon she didn’t notice Rei looking over at her.
Although he was slightly upset that she hadn’t curled up next him, his neck had been hurting so bad that he didn’t have a choice about sitting up. He didn’t get why Kira had called him so late to come see the moon. He was about to ask her why this was so important, but when he looked over at her he couldn’t mistake the look of joy and wonderment on her face. It’d been a long time since he had seen her so happy he couldn’t bring himself to spoil it for her. He turned his eyes away from her and stared back up at the half covered moon and pretended to get it.
When the eclipse was almost over Kira began to shiver. The night had turned chilly and she hadn’t brought her jacket. She felt Rei stirring and wondered what he was doing. Then she felt a tentative hand circle her waist and pull her closer to him. Rei, realizing that Kira was cold, decided to push his luck a little. He reached around her and pulled her closer to him. To surprise Kira only tensed for a second and then let Rei pull her next to him. She turned onto her side and rested her arm on his chest. She smiled at him sheepishly embarrassed by her forgetfulness, but happily.
Now her head lay on his shoulder with her arms wrapped around his chest. She buried her face in the nook where his shoulder and neck met. After a few minutes Rei asked if Kira wanted to watch the rest of the eclipse. When he got no response, he shifted his body to look at her. She had fallen asleep. He smiled to himself thinking how peaceful she looked, the guarded expression she usually bore around him completely gone. It had been diminishing over the past couple of months but he could still see it in her eyes and sense it when he touched her. He leaned over and kissed her lightly on each eyelid, gently stroking her cheek. He kissed her on the lips and was about to pull away when she began to kiss back.
Kira began to stir as she felt the slight pressure on her mouth. Knowing that it was Rei she kissed him back. On special moments like this he could be very sweet. His lips parted and she felt him start to lick her lips with little flicks of his tongue. Feeling the wetness and heat from his tongue and mouth, Kira parted her lips to. Rei’s tongue darted in and out of Kira’s mouth. Sometimes encouraging him to intensify the kiss by rubbing his tongue with hers. As they continue to kiss, Kira’s mind begins to think of other places she would like Rei’s mouth and tongue to travel to. The thought of his lips all over her body made her very warm despite the cool night air.
Rei sensing her heat broke the kiss long enough to breathe. Kira started to gasp for air. As her breathing began to normalize, Rei placed light kisses up her jaw line towards her ear. Kira turned her head and buried her face in Rei’s neck. Rei finally reached his goal, which had been Kira’s ear lobe. He began to suckle lightly on her lobe when a small moan escaped Kira’s lips. The hot puff of air that accompanied the moan made Rei shiver and caused her to bite Kira’s ear lobe harder than he intended to. This made Kira cry out in more pleasure than anything else.
“ Do you love me?” it was a shy timid voice that asked this question. Rei was taken aback by it. He turned to look at its asker and realized as usual her face was looking anywhere but at his. He cupped her cheek in his hand and turned her head so she had no choice but to look into his eyes. “If I didn’t then would I be here with you? Why would I be wasting my time on you if I didn’t love you?” Rei was yelling now. After a brief pause of silence, Rei sighed a deep sigh letting all the anger he had just felt run out with the air. “ I’m sorry I didn’t mean to yell, it’s just sometimes I have no idea why you ask the things you do. How could you ask me ’do I love you?’. You know I do Kira.”
“I didn’t mean to make you mad. It’s just you never tell me. I feel you do I just want to hear it every now and then! Is that to much to ask of you?!” After haven spoken this so forcefully, both Kira and Rei were taken back by Kira words. She got to her feet and began to run. She had no idea where she was going she just had to get away. She could hear Rei coming after her and she didn’t really want to be with him right now but she had nowhere else to go. She dropped to her knees and began to cry. ‘Why am I crying?’ she asked herself. ‘Because’ said a little voice in her head,’ you still don’t trust anyone of his kind. Remember what happened with the other guy? Remember what he did to you? You’re still not past it and your scared that Rei will do the same thing.’ by the time the voice stopped talking, Kira was crying even harder and Rei had caught up to her.
“Hey. What’s the matter? Do you fall? You shouldn’t have run off like that, there aren’t the nicest people around here.” Rei smiled at her as he wiped away the tears that just kept streaming down her face. Kira threw her arms around Rei’s waist and cried some more. Rei rubbed her back and tried to soothe her cries. Eventually Kira stopped crying and let go of Rei. “Feel better? You didn’t hurt yourself did you?” Kira shock her head. “Come on the eclipse is over.” Rei and Kira walked back to Rei’s bike. As they walked, Rei put his arms around Kira’s waist and rested his chin on the top of her head. When they got back to his bike Rei handed Kira the helmet he had gotten for her. “ Put this on and hold on tight. If there is anything I know. It’s that a good night ride on a bike always clears a head full of thoughts. Makes it easier t think later.” Kira took her helmet, climbed on behind Rei and wrapped her arms around his waist. Rei started the bike, waited until Kira squeezed his sides, and sped off into the night.
