CHAPTER SIX:
By the time X caught up the voice's snicker echoed off the walls of the building, disorientating him as to where the Maverick had run off to. He walked deeper inside the darkness, his arm canon raised and ready to fire. It was hard to keep his steps quiet, the fight so far had left the floor covered in rubble. He worried his enemy already had him in sights. He was helpless if he got fired on right now.
Maybe him and Zero shouldn't have split up to cover more grounds.
Not that thinking about that now would change anything.
“It's a shame X”, the voice leered, still resounding; not giving away its location. “It'd be so easy to kill you. But Sigma wants his little pet alive”. It sighed as if it were tired and bored.
“I'm not his pet!” X snapped in defence. The voice laughed again.
“Sweet, little X. Everyone knows what he did to you…”—X felt himself go light headed, anticipating what he was about to hear—“everyone knows how he claimed you!”
X stopped, dropping his defence and letting his arms fall to his side. Why did that always get to him? Was it the fact he knew they were right. He had something stolen from him that he couldn't get back. And in the process became something, someone else had come to own.
All because he was weak…
…easy.
He was useless without Zero around.
The Maverick knew X would lose the fight in him by bringing that up. He got tipped off by another in his ranks. He swiftly moved ahead, seeing as X wasn't a problem to him. His head was easy to mess with.
The mission it had was simple. Its twin unit was on the other end of the city. Together they were going to set off two bombs in unison. The terrorist attack would wipe out a large proportion of the human population here.
Mavericks attacking one city at a time.
Till nothing but their ideal world remained.
“X”, he snapped out of his trance when he heard Zero call him over the comm. link. “How's the Maverick on your end?”
“Umm, I haven't caught it yet”. X stated, hiding what had happened.
“Hurry the fuck up then”.
Zero cut the call after that, and X realized he'd let that Maverick get way ahead of him. And this mission's time was almost up before their enemy succeeded. Once in place, the bombs those Mavericks were carrying would go off. He felt so stupid for letting the words before get to him. Zero would be livid if he screwed this mission up. He ran ahead where he figured the Maverick was heading; although no longer with a lead.
He stopped when he realized there were multiple ways to go. Not sure of which to go. And knowing he didn't have time to choose. Although going the wrong way was the denouement to this mission too; and it wouldn't be a happy ending. How could he explain that one to Zero? He'd be in for a world of hurt, that's for sure.
“Little X, all alone again?” A voice purred, making X shiver. “It was so much fun playing with you last time”.
The reploid that now entered the scene was Vile. X wincing, knowing what this spelt for him. His eyes panned the area for the best attempted route to escape. Not only now did he have to still try and finish the previous mission, he had to save his own hide from the certifiable once-and-former Hunter.
“What's the matter X?” he noted to the younger one's silence. X tried to maintain calm, keeping his confidence to mask his fear. Not that acting would help him, especially as Vile loaded the gun in his hand.
Then aimed…
X chose to run. Abandoning his former mission and choosing to save himself. X looked back but couldn't see his pursuer. But that was more of a fear to him. Forgetting how angry he'd make Zero, he opened the comm. link, knowing this may be his only chance to call for help before Vile cornered him.
“Z-Zero…!” he called over the comm. link with a panting breath. Desperate for an answer.
“I'm busy, and you should be too!”
“But, Zero—”
“What the fuck is it?”
“I need help”.
“Help? Where's the Maverick, this should be easy, even for a B-rank!” Zero rasped, annoyed his conversation with X was delaying him in finishing his half of the mission.
“It's Vile, Zero, I can't win, help!”
“Vile's here? Ah, shit…you're so useless!”
“…”
“I'm coming, don't get killed till then”.
“Z-Zero…Tha—”
A sudden shot knocked X from his feet, hitting the ground; his helmet—and ability to use the comm. link—flung to the side. X had been too busy talking to realize Vile had reentered the scene. Nor did he had enough time to get up before his arm was stomped down. The force purposely used to disable his use of his arm canon.

Zero turned, letting the Maverick he was in chase of go on ahead. He would've made X wait if it was anyone else. But it was Vile, and he knew that spelt trouble. A-rank against A-rank got messy. He headed in the direction of X's last call.
Vile grabbed X, and torn him off the ground, not impressed to still see some fight dominating the fear in his play-thing. He frowned, but decided he'd fix that. X's eyes widened when Vile's gun shoved itself into his mouth, and he heard it load.
“That's the fear I like to see. So cute, X”. Vile lewdly leered. While he had no intensions of pulling the trigger, he enjoyed the absolute fear that now had taken over X. Who failed at muttering a plea to be released.
He was kneed in the gut, Vile withdrew his gun, using the rear of it to hit the back of X's head with, the force driving him to the ground now.
“Get the fuck away from him!” X looked up, fighting away disorientation as he heard Zero's voice, who's opening shot forced Vile to move away from him.
“We were just having some fun”, Vile laughed. Zero raised his arm canon in offence.
“Hah, `fun', says Sigma's bitch!” Zero used his arm canon again, taking unaimed rapid fire out on his enemy.
“Isn't that the title of your little friend there?”
“Shut it, you fucking whore!!”
The purple reploid jumped back, moving away in defence before making a glance over to the far end of the city where Sigma's Mavericks still were.
Vile then paused, out of character for someone who only wanted to play around and draw blood. And while that left X confused, Zero vaguely had an idea as to what it meant. Or a good guess at the least.
“Well”, Vile announced. “It's been fun, but looks like the time's up. Looks like I'll have to extend the lease on Sigma's pet for you, Zero”.
Zero was about to retort when Vile took the first step of his leave. Leaving the two Hunters to scramble. X wasn't sure why still, but didn't protest when Zero snagged him around the waist to drag him along, getting as close to the city's edge as they could.
X was in awe when the night sky turned to a hue of red from the explosion that followed, engulfing over half of the city. He was horrified, knowing within the unison of the bombs going off had been the screams of many.
And it was all his fault.
Zero let X go, who stood there not knowing what to do with himself. Unsure of how to act. He forced himself to lift his gaze up to Zero, who only looked back at him furious. He struck X across the face, followed by a stronger punch that drove X to the ground.
“You little fuck-wit!” he swore, he looked to X, who had cowered on the ground, expecting another blow. Zero shook his head. “I'll finish dealing with you later”.
And while usually he would've hit X again, he turned to walk ahead. Knowing he had to get back to HQ and explain what happened. X wiped the blood away from his mouth. A poignant look upon his face. He gathered himself up, bringing himself to follow Zero at a distance.
He knew he'd be hurt tonight.
Zero was really mad at him now.
***
X waited a little further off as Zero handed over the report of `what went wrong' at head office. Today had been a disaster. For one thing, Zero hated losing, and the muck-up today made him seem worthless. If this was the hope the Hunters had, there wasn't really any all, was there? But of cause, X knew it was his fault; but that didn't change how losing attacked Zero's pride. And if he wasn't livid enough without anyone taking a jab at that.
He swore his breathing hitched a moment when Zero turned around, his cold eyes offering the younger one a glare. X was afraid of him. And he didn't want to go home with Zero in such a foul mood. He knew he'd have to explain himself, and even then it probably wouldn't matter. Zero would beat him till he got bored or wanted something else from him. There were so many people around in the main foyer, no one knew what was going to happen as soon as they returned to their apartment. It never crossed X's mind to call out for help. All he had to do was raise concerns with someone and he'd never have to endure another one of Zero's violent lash outs. But, that was something he'd never do. Because of those suppressed, but powerful feelings he had for the blonde reploid. The only thing that had him stay.
Zero walked over to him, and he merely averted his eyes away. Afraid of what Zero's eyes would wordlessly remind him of the assault he knew would come when they got home.
“I'm sorry…” X mumbled.
“Tell the humans that”.
Zero's words hurt X, like usual. Unlike Zero, X actually gave a damn for human lives caught up in Maverick
“Common X, we're going home”. X was afraid at how chilling, but how nice Zero's voice was. The only reason Zero seemed almost happy was because he knew what he was about to do to X. The younger one submitted with a nod.
“O-okay…”
Zero took his hand, leading the way. They went up the empty halls. X didn't look up, letting Zero control the situation as they walked inside, the door closing and locking behind them. It was dark without the lights on, but the natural light of the moon at least let X see around the apartment pretty clearly. Zero turned around to look at X, who held his breath, watching a hand rise. Jerking him forward with the once-tender hold of his hand, Zero drove his free hand into X's gut, winding him. He let him go, having him fall to the ground. He booted him several times, before grabbing him and pulling him up. Hitting him on the face around five times before throwing him against the wall painfully.
He then pulled X's arm, ripping him from the wall, throwing him to the ground with a discarding action. X barely caught himself, but it didn't matter. Zero kicked him in the side, tossing him across the floor. He didn't move. Surrendering to whatever Zero wanted to do with him. Trying not to cry. Zero walked over to him, cussing something under his breath. He put a foot on X's back, reaching down and snagging a lock of his hair, yanking it back painfully till X cried out. He didn't see the enjoyment covering Zero's face. Who, once got bored of that, drove his head down to the ground, leaving him there as he walked off ahead. X swallowing against the metallic taste of blood in his mouth.
“I…I…” Zero turned back to a sobbing X who attempted to pick himself up off the ground. His green eyes looked up to Zero who had now walked back to him and knelt down, grasping his hair again to have him meet his stern but amused gaze.
“Saying something, princess?”
He slapped him, knocking X's face to the side, forcing more tears from him. X turned back to him, biting his lip to try and suppress his anguish.
“I-I'm sorry…”
Zero merely frowned when all he got was an apology; thinking it was about the mission, even if that wasn't what X meant. Zero used his arm to hammer X down, who covered his head with his arms, in a wasted attempt to protect himself from more pain. He continued sobbing, so Zero raised his arm again to hit him. X continued on the topic ailing him. The one thing that was destroying him inside. A pain he wanted someone to take away…
…Somehow…
“He…he owns me!” X cried out. His sudden outburst bringing Zero's mid-action assault to a halt. X sobbing more now. “I'm not my own anymore…he claimed me! I got marked”.
It was abrupt, and Zero would be lying if he said he was expecting it. X was left crying his heart out in front of him. He didn't see Zero's expression darken and a different a sort of hate filled his eyes.
“They keep calling me his pet. And that's all I am! They're…right, aren't they?”
“So you're still on about him fucking you?” X didn't look up to Zero's disgruntle replied. He seemed frustrated in this new turn of topics.
“He took something from me I can't get back, and marked me as proof!”
“That's not true”. Zero hadn't even thought about what he said, it just came out, denying the truth X told him. He narrowed his eyes in on X who wasn't looking back, his face buried in his hands sobbing. But X had his full attention now. He could see why X was upset, and that it'd obviously caused today's screw up. Not that he'd take back or regret the fun time he just spent thrashing him.
“I…I don't want to belong to him anymore…”
X looked up when Zero ran a hand through his messy hair—not grabbing at it violently this time—humming as he caught X's eyes in a lock with his own. His other hand moving to wipe away the tears on X's face.
Sigma couldn't have what he owned. X was Zero's and Zero's alone.
He couldn't have him.
Wouldn't keep him.
…X was his.
X belonged to him.
“Z-Zero…” X breathed, fear eminent in his voice. He closed his eyes, and while Zero held his head in his hands, he was afraid of what the next strike would be, or what other horrible thing would be said to him. He felt Zero's breath close, and he shivered before he opened his eyes. Unable to do anything but comply when Zero took his lips with his own. Kissing back deeply. Zero's hands moving down X's body, wrapping around his waist. When he drew back, he was emotionless as ever, while X was flustered and confused.
“Get up”, Zero ordered, moving away from him. X sat there a silent moment before following through with the demand. He seemed a little lost, waiting for another command before moving. But now standing, X was pulled in again, Zero kissing him, and X finding his little defenses failing. Intoxicated in the sensation. Surrendering to it.
He let himself be led by Zero to the next room, shoved down onto the bed. X let his clothing be shorn from him. Left defenseless and exposed. His face already flushed as Zero crawled atop of him—having discarded clothing as well—he stuck three of his fingers in X's mouth, forcing him to suck on them, slicking them with his saliva. With his free hand he ran it up the apex of X's thigh, making him moan against the fingers in his mouth. He didn't really know what to do, and let Zero guide him into spreading his legs. Zero took his fingers from X's mouth, moving them to his entrance. Using one to press his way inside. X gasped, the reality of the position he was in hitting him as it probed inside of him. His hands grasping at the sheets by his sides. His eyes shut tight, unsure of how he'd react if he watched Zero work him like this. Gritting his teeth when the finger count slowly rose. Unable to suppress a moan, lolling his head back, as Zero advanced to a pumping acting.
While something about this felt so wrong, X kept convincing himself he wanted this. Unlike his last experience in this, he loved Zero. Wanted to be his. X brought himself to open his eyes, looking to Zero; X losing his breath more at the sight of the erotic situation he was in.
X let out an incoherent whine in protest when he felt Zero's fingers slip out of him. Zero moved over to capture X in a kiss again. He used his hands to move X into position, who complied and straddled his legs around his partner. He found himself breathless when he felt it. X jerked back, crying out as it pushed inside of him. But Zero cut it short, forcing him into another kiss to suppress the noises X was making. X tried to use it as a distraction from the pain. His body shook, and he felt the pain of it start to take over. But he was still locked in the kiss, confusing him between pleasure and pain. But it wasn't too long he pulled back, only to cry out painfully.
“Go on”, Zero darkly cooed. “Scream for me”.
X whimpered as Zero forcefully moved inside of him. X didn't really know why he was allowing it, especially with how much it hurt.
“Oh, god…” X gasped, finding himself moaning now. He wrapped his arms around Zero, afraid if he let go he'd loose his senses. Zero's movements inside him turning to more defiant thrusts. Drawing out, and thrusting back in. X felt his body overheat, and his breathing ragged.
The pleasure and pain had blended with one another into something X couldn't describe, only knew he had a desire for more of it. He threw his head back, wailing to the overwhelming force Zero had over him. X was left grunting to the sensation, fighting for breath against what he was being put through. Zero won more cries from the one beneath him to the rough treatment he was giving him.
He wasn't sure how long it went for, how long he was intoxicated in the act for. Reality hit back though as X felt his resolve snap. And the convulsions his body had been sent into ended as he cried out. One final drive into him finishing him off, and with that, cried out one last time.
X collapsed, soon aware of the feeling of his insides coated in something warm. He was in awe still, the thought only half sunk in that he'd just experienced that and this was real. Zero slipped out of him and settled besides his, panting and exhausted X. The younger one was left with labored breathing, his insides aching…yet somehow had him feeling so good.
Zero pulled X towards him, a loose hold around his waist. X mistaking the intensions and meaning behind what just took place for something else.
X let himself be drawn in by Zero's lips, held in another passionate kiss. Zero drew away with a dark sneer across his face.
“Looks like you have a new owner…” he leered, X found himself blushing to the statement as Zero continued his whisper. “…you belong to me now”.
***
He still ached when he woke up. But he didn't mind. The morning was the same as any other had been, only, X couldn't stop thinking about it. Swooning inside the more he let his mind wander. For the first time however in a long time, X was content. The hell he'd once been forced through seemed disconnected. He no longer belonged to Sigma, and he couldn't control or mess with him anymore. He smiled as he finished up eating before getting ready to go out for the morning. While he still wasn't `his own', he didn't mind belonging to Zero…liked it, if anything.
“Hurry up”, Zero called out, X put his helmet on and rushed over to the blonde on demand, heading out with him. He was a little flushed when Zero took his hand in his own.
X was confusing what he'd been through the night before as something different to the dominant act that'd been intended. Mixing it up with those feelings he had forced himself to suppress. He smiled lightly to himself. Knowing more than ever he wanted to finally unveil them to Zero. X sighed to himself, while he wanted to tell Zero that he loved him, he mused a moment, knowing he was just too shy right now…but agreed to say it sometime soon at least.

Author's Note: FINALLY lol. Yes, Zero and X finally did it, and its not the last time…call it dirty, I don't care, almost every chapter from here on in has a scene like that. But it's realistic, as if they're going to do it once every now and then. Common!! xD
