Raiden's Ending:

Defying the Elder Gods' wishes, Raiden could not stand by and allow innocence to die by Shao Kahn's armies. After he defeated the Outworld Emperor, Raiden stood before the Elder Gods to face judgment for his actions. Raiden had stated that his actions were surely pure. As punishment, he was stripped of his godhood and banished into a realm of unknown origins. Unknown by even the Elder Gods, Quan Chi had succeeded in ridding the Netherrealm of a possible threat. Now Shinnok's plans to take Outworld and Earthrealm can proceed without interference.
