Once Earthrealm has been saved from Shao Kahn's invasion, he grieves for the loss of his brother and he became the new protector of Earthrealm. It did not take long until he had learned that Shao Kahn had been manipulated by Shinnok into violating the Elder Gods' rules of Mortal Kombat. Knowing he would not fend off the threat of the Netherrealm alone, Fujin had gathered Liu Kang and other Earthrealm warriors to combat Shinnok's threats.
