Someone beat him to it.

 

The most feared man in the world lay broken, bloodied, and conquered in the blood stained satin bed sheets.

 

His lipless mouth was bruised and bloodied; savaged.

 

Blood flowed from wounds all down his neck and chest; bite marks, almost fanged like a snakes, and deep parallel gouges trailing down his arms and crossing his pale chest.

 

His legs, still spread from before, looked torn and bloodied; as if the skin was rubbed off by constricting scales.

 

Five ragged puncture wounds in each hip, red and puffy and hinting at poison.

 

A pink tinged mixture slowly snakes from the apex of his legs, standing out starkly against the dark stained sheets.

Someone beat him to it.

 

Dark Lord Voldemort, Tom Marvolo Riddle, lay broken and defeated on his bed of satin sheets and down filled pillows.

 

The Boy-Who-Lived did not defeat Voldemort. An ancient, greater and darker evil did; where he was Darkness, a Snake, this man was a Master of Darkness, a Master of Snakes.

 

The Boy-Who-Lived did not defeat Voldemort; he just destroyed the evidence of an evil no one suspected.
