Kagome turned over in the bed the Hokage had given her, she was in the same room, surrounded by all the books. She knew she was tired but she couldn't sleep, there was this unexplainable feeling that she always had at night that urged her to stay awake. eying the lamp across the room she contemplated turning it on, she didn't want too, what if they had trouble with some electric bill? (...Or is it oil?)
Picking up a small book that was no thicker than a magazine titled "Chakra and You." It was a book complete with explanations on types of Chakra, pictures on what it looked like, and some weird diagram that looked like the human circulatory system. She shuffled over to the window, trying to draw light from the Waning Moon. Letting out an exasperated growl she cursed the tree that conveniently blocked her reading light.
Now she'd have to get up, try to sneak out, and then read. Grabbing the cold door knob she slowly turned it, wincing as the door creaked when she pushed to open it. Taking one step outside of her room just gave her another wince when the floorboards creaked. 'Note to self, never get a job as a spy' she thought to herself as she stuck close to the wall to avoid as many creaky spots as possible.

Gaara turned his head when the door creaked open, being used to not sleeping he was voted to be her "guard" during the night so they could be sure she wasn't a spy. Her proof was convincing, but they still had to be careful. Frowning at every noise she made he instantly concluded that she was either A. Most definitely not a ninja. Or B. Knew he was behind her and acted accordingly.

Kagome finally reached the exit, repeating the same process as she did with her bedroom door, wince and all she stepped outside. Looking around she silently wished she had night vision, smiling when she found a bench right where the moonlight was she skipped over to the stone structure, and sat right down. Flipping open her book she began reading
"By focusing a continuous amount of chakra to a part in your body will allow you to tie your body to the object you're touching. When doing this you can do things like walk up walls and trees..." She looked at the book like it was a bible from some cult in the hills that believed they could fly if they sang loud enough. "...What?" she questioned the book, like she would actually get an answer, she looked over the back and front covers, and flipped through the index trying to find some logic in the words.
Re-reading the paragraph she sighed, "I shouldn't have skipped the "What is Chakra" section...." flipping back she scanned over the material. "Chakra...circulatory system?" she flipped back to Chapter 2 - Using Chakra again, and re-read the paragraph about trees. "But...you don't tell me HOW to focus it you just say to do it!" running her hand through her hair she glared at the book, demanding whoever wrote this to explain themselves silently.
~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
Gaara rolled his eyes at the girls distress, it was amusing but did she really not know anything about Chakra? Stepping out of the shadows he cleared his throat, he lifted an eyebrow when she gave a squeak and fell off the bench in surprise. "Focusing your chakra is simple, just imagine energy gathering in your palm." she crossed her arms over her chest "If I do that I'll just be using my Hama no reiryoku!"
Taking one look at this she realized he didn't know what that was. Sighing she balled her hand up into a fist and it glowed Lavender Rose? Or was is Fuchsia Pink? Just plain Fuchsia? Heliotrope? Or a light, soft form of Magenta? Why was he even nitpicking at shades? "That's your chakra then." He stated, trying to sound neutral, a thousand questions where running through his head a mile a minuet, he wasn't able to even catch one to ponder on it and find an answer before a new one came up.
"It's not!" she said stubbornly, "It's my Hama no reiryoku, you get them as a priestess." "It's your Chakra, unless you think you have a second energy inside of your body that could be Chakra, Hokage Tsunade-sama would love to see what kind of person could have that kind of energy, doubled with Chakra." he shot back, she didn't even know what Chakra was so who was she to say what was and wasn't it? She scoffed at him, turning away a bit "I can't walk on walls or trees with it so it can't be Chakra!" she stuck to her story like glue.
"Maybe because nobody taught you how too?" he replied, not seeming to get bored with her reactions like he would with some people. "I guess that makes sense...I don't know!" she said cheerfully "Hey, can anybody here walk on trees and stuff?" she asked, curious now. Gaara almost sighed, noting how her mood changed from stubborn, to accepting, to happy, then to curiosity. "Not all, allot of Genin can, and most, if not all Chuunin know how too." he explained, noting again how her expression changed again to awe then to wonder.
"How?" she asked, Gaara noted that this was the second time he suppressed a sigh today. 'I know how you feel now Kankuro' but he didn't seem to mind that, "We should probably send you to the Academy, that would teach you what you need to know." he raised a brow in question when she looked shocked the second he said "Academy." "I don't want to go back to school! I got kicked out of my last one because I had to go adventuring with Inuyasha! Just no! The only reason why I wanted to go to school where I came from was because my future depended on it!" she said, getting up and moving towards him during her speech so she wouldn't talk so loud and rouse the entire village.
"Your future may depend on you going to the academy here, too. Since you could just be killed by any Ninja here." Gaara stated as if it was common knowledge. The girl in front of his sighed "Always killing and fighting...but I can handle it!" she said, happy mood back again. Gaara sighed this time, grabbing a Kunai, he only had to take one step forward before he had it at the girl's throat. She didn't seem threatened, "Hey! I wasn't ready!" she said, pouting. "Does it matter? I doubt the demons you spoke of would care if you were ready." he chided.
"You're right, I just reeeeaaaally don't wanna go back to school!" she looked at him, like pleading with him would make the ultimate difference between her going to the Academy or not. "Don't look at me, Temari, Kankuro, and even Tsunade-sama would probably agree that you should go, unless you have a death wish" he said, flashing the Kunai again before putting it away. She looked melancholic, until her nature caused a shift in her random emotions. "With allot of books, I could teach myself!" she said proudly. "I did that all the time in the Feudal era! I always taught myself what I needed to know!"
Gaara just stared at her, she was obviously getting the message since she started fidgeting and making random comments about how it could work. "I know!" she said, switching back to 'euphoric' reaching for his hands she grabbed them within her own and brought them up, chest-high. "You could teach me! Can't you? Pleeeeeeeaaaase, I really really really! Don't want to go to school!" the look she gave him almost made him want to look away.
Almost as if her entire world was held up by a small thread and he held the scissors in place, a simple three or two letter word giving the command to either make the scissors retreat, or cut the string forcing the globe to plummet into a word of eternal, abysmal darkness. He grimaced, "Maybe...Temari and Kankuro could assist in teaching you, too."
He imaged a little sun coming out to shine on the world, the smile she gave him caused a bubble, a small piece of nirvana within his soul, unfortunately, it was cut short when she yawned. "Go back inside, get some sleep." Gaara stated, cutting her off when he noticed she was going too say something. "I'll speak with Kankuro, Temari and the Hokage about you not going to an academy, don't worry." She smiled, and the bit of paradise returned. "Thank you Gaara!" she said, dropping his hands and jogging towards the entrance, intending to head back to her room. Leaving Gaara to silently follow at his own pace.
He had allot to think about, almost all of those thoughts surrounding the stubborn, emotional, and kind-hearted puzzle that fell from the sky just the other day.

Read the note up top!!!!
This is when I cross my fingers and pray to every god I know, hoping the chapters don't get worse and worse as time flies.
VOTING TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! PAY ATTENTION TO THIS! Read this authors note!
Decided weather or not Kagome's Spiritual Powers will iether:
1. Couple as Chakra, and she lacked the proper training to use it.
2.Be different from normal chakra, and it can be compared to a bloodline trait, since Kikyopu and Kaede were both sisters, and priestesses. (So she would have both Blue Chaka and priestess abilities)
3.Will have something to do with the Bear Country's Hidden Star village, that's allied with the Leaf.
