Well everybody liked Option 2! (Peronsally I like it too, no long explanation about why her chakra may be pink) So that's how it shall be!

=============================================

There was a darkness, darkest than the blackest pitch, so dark no light could survive there, when anything with it's own conscious entered this darkness they were overwhelmed with a sense that there was no hope, their memories would be sucked from them. Questioning who they were they were given a sense that they should leave this darkness but why? There was nothing.

From this darkness came a full demon, long black hair, and a sinister look on his face. Orochimaru smiled at his new partner, the man who conquered an annoying humans lifespan like him, one who absorbed another's powers like he wished too. One who, in that dimension was the demonic equivalent too him. Letting out a dark methodical chuckle he said one word "Naraku". The red-eyed demon smiled back at him, "Orochimaru" he greeted.

That's when Kagome woke up screaming, Gaara, being right in the room decided to cover her mouth up with his hand before she alerted the others to her distress. He raised an eyebrow and Kagome read it as a sentence-long question. "Er...bad dream?" she said sheepishly, her statement sounding more like a question. Gaara frowned and she got the message 'Liar' Kagome sighed, and decided to explain her dream. "I had a nightmare about the bad guy in my dimension, Naraku with this weird guy named...Orochimaru? Well anyways, Naraku was ALIVE! He wasn't dead! All that time all of that energy, the long battle we had and he's still alive!" Kagome grabbed his shoulders in her long dramatic speech.

One look told her to let go, and another look asked her why she was acting like this was real. Gaara was iether good at eye contact, or Kagome was good at reading emotionless people, or both. "Well...it just seemed so REAL, what if it was? I don't know who Orochimari is but Naraku must be alive!" Kagome sounded so sure of herself. "Orochimaru is one of the...'bad guys' in our dimension" Gaara stated, thinking of how annoying it was that he couldn't convey that with a look.

Kagome looked at him in shock "Then it WAS real! We have to tell somebody! Naraku is really bad news but paired up with-" Gaara forced her back down onto her bed, a hand on her mouth again, giving her another look he took his hand away. "Right, don't cause a panic, but we have to tell someone! I know! Tsunade!" Kagome cheered, Gaara noted she switched from agreement to panic to happiness again. Looking out the window Kagome noticed the sun hadn't even risen yet. "Er...in the morning, right?" Kagome looked up at her "guard". Right.

Kagome couldn't go back to sleep after that, so she decided to stay up and talk to the guy she recently admitted to herself, and Temari that she possibly liked. "So are Temari and Kankuro really your siblings?" Gaara nodded, seeming compelled to embellish "Temari's the oldest, and Kankuro is the middle child." Kagome looked at his with a weird look on her face. "So you're the youngest? That's so cute!" Gaara gave her another look, one that said 'WHAT?'. Who called Gaara the ex-jinchuuriki cute?

Apparently crazy priestesses from another dimension did, pausing for a bit ignoring Kagome to ponder on why that was, and why he didn't mind. When he was suddenly wand-bagged by something his eyes widened, asking why the sand didn't protect him from whatever it was. Looking down to see what hit him, Kagome was there latched onto his waist, glaring up at him cutely, wait, cute?

"Don't ignore me!" Kagome whispered sharply at him, not wanting to wake anyone up. Sand began to pour out of the gourd on Gaara's back, why would anyone carry a bunch of sand? Kagome stared at it as it wrapped around her waist, when it began to try to detach her from Gaara she just hugged him tighter than ever. "No! Bad sand! Bad! I'm staying!" she said, glaring at the sand coming out of the gourd, latching onto Gaara with her dominant right arm, she reached out and grabbed some with her left.

Gaara glared, was his control over the sand becoming lax? He decided to put his sand back, his plan to remove the girl from his failing miserably, his sand was stronger than he himself was physically. Kagome was inspecting the sand, poking it once and a while. Smiling, she tossed it into the air like it was confetti. Gaara decided to test and see if he was really loosing his abilities over the sand, mentally commanding it to take shape and form the sand compressed together into the air, and fell into Kagome's lap.

Kagome picked up the object, it was a *(Check AN)little sea shell made of sand, with an apple, complete with a leaf, stem, and blossom placed on the inside of the curve. Kagome smiled at him and he felt like his heart was trying to rip out of his chest to meet her. Kagome wondered, lifting her left and right hand she charged her right with her priestess abilities, and closing her eyes she concentrated as hard as she could to summon the Chakra like Temari had taught her in the bathhouse.

'Imagine it coming from your pores, the cracks of your skin, or anywhere else you can think of, when you do this right you can start learning to manipulate it to do what you want.' the blond's voice echoed in her head, when she was sure she had a steady Chakra and priestess energy flowing she put the little sand trinket in the middle of it.

Gaara watched her, was she going to destroy it? Why? Did she hate it?For the first time in a long time he felt like doing what Kagome had wanted to do yesterday, curl up and die. Now, to say that her doing whatever it was she was doing was taking forever, would be an understatement. It took HOURS and slowly, he began to understand more and more what she was trying to do, and he manipulated the sand accordingly.

During all of this they found the time to talk, how old were they, what were their favorite colors, animals? What about food? Did they both enjoy the rainy days and couldn't understand why people loved all the sun? What was Kagome planning to do now that she was possibly stuck in this dimension for life? A Kunoichi? Would she specialize as a medic-nin? She could already heal. Would she specialize in Taijutsu, fighting with your hands and feet? Why or why not? What do you mean you don't know what hand seals are?!

As the sun was just beginning to rise over the walls of Konoha and Kagome was finishing up, Gaara wondered how much longer the village could last without a Kazekage, even with several advisers taking care of things. Kagome let out a small cheer of happiness and handed the object they had been working on back to him, forgetting all about Naraku and Orochimaru, and the danger looming over the village.

Gaara looked down at the object in his hand, she had heated the sand and cooled it repeatedly for hours, toiling over it, and then dyed with her chakra and pink energy...what was that again? Turning it over he ran his finger along the grooves of the pink-stained glass shell, cupping the apple perfectly. The apple blossom was, of course, stained blue, making it easy to distinguish between the three items. The glass apple, the hardest of all too make was actually hollow, harboring some of his sand.

Like someone made this intricate glass container to hold a minuet amount of worthless sand, the shell itself was 1 and a half, or 2 inches in diameter, and Gaara stared at it, wondering if it could be made into a necklace somehow. He watched Kagome get up from her position next to him and make her way over to her bag to grab her clothes and such.

Smiling she waved to Gaara as she left the room to seek out Temari so she could take her to the Hokage's office to talk about her dream or whatever it was she had. He waved back at her dumbly, staring at his hand when she left. First Naruto changed him, now this girl, at this rate he'd be smiling and laughing all the time like they were.

Somewhere out there, there had to be a god or goddess laughing at how stupid he was acting. There had to be something in the water, or maybe there was just plain something wrong. Why was he so happy to see her, why did he hate to see her upset, how come when she smiled it was like a pocket dimension filled with peace burst into existence. Why was he even asking himself this!? Gaara concluded that he was doomed, and that was obviously why the gods sent this girl from the heavens to mess with his head. He was obviously doomed, he just didn't know how or why.

=====================================

Alright, well for the shell and apple thing there are alot of symbols for "love" and those happen to be two of them.

Shell: Because of its hard casing, the Shell is a protective image - protecting life (sheltering pearls) and also symbolizes the protective quality love sometimes takes. Also in Hinduism the conch shell is symbolic because it awakens the heart of the faithful and calls to those who live with heart-filled love.

Apple: A symbol of ecstasy, fertility and abundance as well as love, the Apple is a testimony to the adage "big things (or meanings in this case) come in small packages." In China the Apple stands for peace and its blossom for adoration. (info from http://www.whats-your-sign.com/love-symbols.html) ((I went with the Chinese thing for the Apple and blossom))

Basically I looked this up and tried to work that into the Shell's protecting the apple (the peace he feels, via in chapter 3 "Puzzle") and the blossom (and the adoration). It was cute! was...maybe it's not anymore though, ya know? But hey! Soon all of the fluffy mush will go away and be replaced by hardcore demon-killing action! Did this chapter even make sense? Am I even writting something decent here?! I keep doing these things in the middle of the night or really early in the morning, maybe when I start writting out fight scenes it'll stop sounding so bad. Yes, this chapter was short, hush.
