In front of the forest of death

 

 

 

The group of genins were standing in front of the forest of death they stare at the dark and creepy look of the forest sending chills to their spines well except for Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa they have already experienced the forest of death. Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon were trying not to look scare they remember seeing the forest of death the first time Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura enter and they were glad that they didn't have to enter, but now it was different they knew that in order to become a chunin they have to get pass the forest of death so they were ready to face it as a team. Anko looked at the group of genins with a sinister grin on her face she really enjoy doing her work as proctor of the second test and she was going to enjoy sending them to forest of hell as she calls the forest.

 

“Al right shit heads listen up good because I won't repeat myself again this is training ground number 44 the forest of death and the place for the second test to begin now your task is simple you'll spend the next three days without supplies so you will have to gather them in the forest the main objective of this test is to collect seven scrolls of the following elements earth, fire, water, ice, wind, light and dark once you gather these scrolls of course you will have to fight the team who has the scroll that you are looking for you can also give up your possessing scroll in exchange for your life you will head once you have collected all sevens you will head out to the tower located at the center of the forest”

 

The group of genins were listening carefully to Anko's instructions however Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa were thinking that they heard wrong.

 

(What seven I thought they were three) Naruto thought

 

(So we have three days to collect seven scrolls damn they change this test too) Sasuke thought

 

(Oh no this is starting to look like the chunin exams from the future I don't know if I can do this) Chibi Usa thought

 

“Now everyone take this paper read it well sign it and return it to me” Anko said as she gave the papers to the genins

 

“What does it say?” a grass genin said

 

“Are you lazy to read or are you deaf I said read it didn't I?” Anko scolded

 

The genins started reading the paper while the three old genins were just thinking what to do.

 

“Well if you guys read it and sign it bring it back to me I don't want to be the responsible if any of you gets killed in the forest” Anko said while smirking

 

The genins sweat dropped at her comment while a waterfall genin raise hand

 

“What's written on the scrolls?”

 

Anko grin” sorry can't tell you that's classified”

 

“What if we try to open them?” a mist genin said

 

“Oh you don't want to do that because if you do…….” Anko gave them a scary look” you won't live to see another day”

 

The genin teams gulp while Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa didn't look scare at all

 

“Now go to the small station standing next to me and get your scroll after that you will be assign to a gate which you will enter the forest are they any other questions?” Anko said

 

No genin said a word they just stood still some of them were scare and others were a little anxious, Anko turn to see the old genins who didn't look worry at all she gave a wicked grin.

 

“Oh that's right I almost forgot watch out for traps they are a lot of traps scatter throughout the forest so be careful wouldn't want any of you to land in a trap and get killed”

 

The genins shiver at the way the snake jounin said it, it was scary most of the genins were getting really scare.

 

“Also among those traps you might find something nice like for example a scroll that's right they are also hidden scrolls scatter trough the forest so look carefully at your surroundings”

 

“Is there more you want to tell us?” ask an irritated Sasuke

 

Anko smile seeing the Uchiha's reaction” nope that's all now go get your scroll….and don't die”

 

The genins nodded and went to the station while Anko looked at Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa.

 

(Sorry you three but we can't let you pass the test so easily and it's all thanks to Shikamaru)

 

Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa went to the station and they were given a fire scroll

 

“Al right you three are going to gate 12” a leaf chunin said

 

Naruto nodded and they left towards their gate destination they pass Konohamaru and the rest of his team.

 

(Good luck Konohamaru don't get killed) Naruto thought

 

Konohamaru grab the scroll and he check it was an ice scroll

 

“You three are going to gate 5” the chunin said

 

“Al right let's go” Konohamaru said

 

Moegi and Udon nodded following to the their gate destination

 

Naruto and his group were standing in front of gate 12 they were being accompanied by a leaf chunin who was checking his clock to start the test.

 

At the entrance to the main gate Anko had a grin on her face

 

(This years test is going to be so interesting I can't wait) she then check her watch” al right the test begins in ten..nine..eight…seven…six…five…four…three 230;two…one BEGIN”

 

The chunin unlock the gate and Konohamaru and his team enter the forest running at high speed.

 

“What are we going to do Konohamarukun?” Moegi said

 

“What do you think we have to collect the scrolls”

 

“But what about the traps?” Udon said

 

“We'll have to be careful where were going”

 

Udon and Moegi nodded as they continue to run

 

(I hope we don't have to fight the boss's team or we won't stand a chance) Konohamaru thought worry

 

The leaf chunin open the gate and Naruto and his team enter the forest at high speed

 

“Al right here's what we are going to do I'm going to try and locate the traps and the hidden scrolls with my sharingan Naruto Chibi Usa you two will set our own traps to lure the other teams we only have three days this isn't the same test we took before so we have to be twice as careful” Sasuke said

 

“Got it” Naruto said while Chibi Usa nodded

 

(I hope we don't run into Konohamaru and the others I really don't want to fight him well at least not yet) Naruto thought

 

Sasuke focus on the forest ahead with his sharingan he growl in anger remembering that the last time he was in the forest of death he first encounter Orochimaru.

 

(Orochimaru you better not dare show your face here or I will kill you)

 

 

Back with Konohamaru and his team they have already encounter another genin team from waterfall village, the encounter eventually turn into a fight. The waterfall genins were already defeated because Konohamaru Moegi and Udon use their sexy jutsu on them making the waterfall genins fall to the groun unconscious with a nose bleed. Konohamaru took their scroll which was an earth scroll.

 

“Al right we have a scroll five more to go I guess let's keep it up team” Konohamaru said

 

Moegi and Udon nodded and left looking for more genin teams

 

 

In another part of the forest genin teams from mist village were jumping from one tree branch to another until they step a tree branch and exploded taking the three genins out. At the entrance to the forest Anko saw the explosion she grin evilly at the sight.

 

“Looks like one team have step into a trap already poor bastards oh well” Anko looked to the chunin sited in the station” hey you bring me some dango and tea”

 

“Yes mam” the chunin said as he left he knew better to say no to Anko

 

Anko smirk as she looked back to the entrance to the forest

 

(All I have to do now is watch the sparks fly and hear the genins scream damn I love my job)

 

 

Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa were having a camp fire after finding a ice scroll hidden by a genjtusu in a tree thanks to Sasuke they decided to take a break, Naruto took a couple of noodle cups and gave a few to Chibi Usa while Sasuke took a few rice balls that Sakura made for him they were very good since Sakura became a good cook thanks to Makoto's teaching.

 

“Yup this is gonna be a piece of cake” Naruto said

 

“I'll say even if they add a few things in the test it's still too easy” Sasuke said in a confident tone

 

“Yeah we'll collect the seven scrolls in one day” Chibi Usa said

 

The three didn't realize that they were being watch by a mysterious group hiding in by a camouflage in a couple of rocks.

 

“NOW”

 

The camouflage was released to revealed three genins from stone village they threw shurikens and kunais at the group hitting them the three felt to the ground while the rock genins smirk.

 

“That was too easy they didn't even notice at all” one of the rock genin said

 

Suddenly the three bodies of the leaf group vanish in a cloud of smoke

 

“WHAT THE” the rock genin gasp in shock

 

Suddenly the three rock genins were tied up by a large group of snakes they saw Sasuke pointing Kusanagi to one of the genins throat while Naruto and Chibi Usa were pointing their kunais to the throats of the other two genins.

 

“Al right you have two choices” Sasuke said in a threatening tone” you surrender your scroll or fight us and die and we take it” he pressed Kusanagi harder on his throat

 

“We surrender I don't want to die we'll give you the scroll” the rock genin said while trembling the other two nodded in agreement

 

Sasuke grin” good” he then release his snakes letting the rock genins go

 

“Here take it” the rock genin said showing his wind scroll

 

Sasuke took the scroll

 

“Al right you three now go before we change our mind” Naruto said

 

The rock genins vanish from sight

 

“Well that was easy” Chibi Usa said

 

“Yeah we have another scroll” Naruto said

 

“Three down four to go” Sasuke said” let's keep going”

 

The two nodded and left

 

 

In another part of the forest of death the three mysterious shadowy figures appeared

 

“Looks like the test has already begun”

 

“Yeah this is the perfect chance”

 

“It's time to take our revenge”

 

“We are not her for revenge only to deliver a message but since we are here let's have some fun” he raised his left hand which began to glow dark and in seconds an army of sound youmas appeared

 

“Take everyone's energy all of it”

 

The sound youmas vanish

 

“This is going to be fun” the shadowy figure said while chuckling

 

 

Konohamaru and his team were taking on another genin team this time it was from grass village, the grass genins use their grass shuriken jutsu but Konohamaru counter with a shadow clone jutsu while Moegi and Udon use explosive kunais on them. The grass genins dodge but they were hit by explosion hey fell to the ground they were now on the mercy of the leaf genins.

 

“Al right give us the scroll now or else” Konohamaru said in a serious tone

 

“Okay we'll give you the scroll” one of the grass genin said while getting up he gave Konohamaru a fire scroll

 

The grass genin vanish while Konohamaru and his team were celebrating

 

“Yeah we only need four more” Moegi said

 

“So far it's been easy” Udon said

 

“What are guys talking about its easy because our hard training now let's go we have more scrolls to find” Konohamaru said

 

Moegi and Udon nodded and left unaware of the team that they were being watch by a group of sound youmas they vanish from sight.

 

 

After a few hours of traveling Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa finish taking another scroll it was a water scroll they decided to take a break and stop in the next part of the forest.

 

“We only need four more” Naruto said

 

“Yeah I hope we find another hidden scroll?” Chibi Usa said

 

“That would be too easy it's more fun to beat another team” Sasuke said with a smirk

 

“Well I guess we should rest up for the day I'm going to put some traps” Naruto said

 

“Don't mess up” Sasuke said with a grin

 

“Whatever” Naruto ignore him as he left

 

Chibi Usa took some home made ramen from her small back pack which she secretly hid it in a scroll, Sasuke watch as she pick her chopsticks and started eating she ate the bowl in mere minutes making Sasuke sweat dropped.

 

(I guess it runs in the family to eat ramen and pretty quick)

 

Chibi Usa took another home made cup from her back pack and started eating again knowing very well that Sasuke was still staring at her she was getting a little irritated so she decided to ask him already.

 

“What?”

 

“What do you mean?” Sasuke said uneasy

 

“Come on Sasuke it's obvious that you want to ask me something” Chibi Usa said with a smirk

 

“No its nothing” Sasuke said coolly

 

“Just tell me already?” Chibi Usa said irritated

 

“I still can't believe your from the future”

 

“So that's it I think I know what you want to ask me now” Chibi Usa said with a grin

 

“I don't want to ask you nothing” Sasuke lied

 

“Stop lying Sasuke you want to ask me if you're still together with Sakura in the future am I right?” Chibi Usa said with a smirk

 

Sasuke sighed in defeat” I guess you win and since you know how about telling me?” he was trying to hide the high interest in his tone

 

“Well I guess I can tell you about that detail okay…..but first Sasuke tell me why do you want to know and don't lie to me?”

 

Sasuke stood quiet for a little he looked at the sky” because I don't think I deserve to be with someone”

 

“Why?” Chibi Usa said but she knew about his past she still wanted to know anyway

 

“My whole life has been for only one purpose…..and that's to fulfill my revenge nothing more it has always been about killing Itachi and I can't be romantically involve with someone”

 

“But you have feelings for Sakura”

 

“Yes I do at first I have been denying it completely, three years ago I didn't care about feelings when I first met Sakura I thought of her just like the rest of the girls just another annoying fan girl and she was annoying really annoying, but when we enter the first chunin exams I began to have this……feelings for her I couldn't believe it she actually save me from going berserk the first time the curse seal took over me and deep inside I was glad she did I realize that she didn't care about me she love me she really love me for once in my life there was a girl who love me not as a fan girl but as a girlfriend for his boyfriend and I secretly love her but never show it because I know that sooner or later if I keep having precious people I will be putting all of them in danger so that's why I left the village I will forget about my best friend and the kunoichi that I love in denial for the sake in getting them safe from harm….from Itachi”

 

“But you still came back?” Chibi Usa said

 

“Yes I did, I missed them that blond dobe and Sakura I…..when I return to the village I wasn't given a proper welcome just the kind of welcome they will give to a missing ninja who left their village to join up with a madman who used to be a leaf ninja too a iron cage guarded by ambu black ops of course I was question by Hibiki but hell I didn't even give him a chance to use his verbal torture on me so I told him everything I knew about Orochimaru back then, I spend six moths in prison but I got company Naruto visited and we started our usual arguing Kakashi visited too and of course Sakura when I first met her the only thing I thought was that I made a huge mistake in leaving her three years ago she was so beautiful I couldn't help but blush the first time I lay eyes on her”

 

“She did cry when she saw you?”

 

“Yeah she did I thought that she hasn't change at all but when I saw her that she punch the iron bars so hard that she bend them like they were rubber my jaw felt to the ground I couldn't believe that this was the same Sakura who used to be an annoying fan girl she almost destroys the cage she was going to kill me if it wasn't for the ambu black op that got her out of the prison, I was happy that she has change she has become so strong too she wasn't going to be a burden anymore I was proud of her and Naruto at least the people that became precious to me have become strong and they could hold on their own in a fight”

 

Chibi Usa had a big smirk on her face” Sasuke you do realize that you just open up to me completely?”

 

Sasuke smirk back” yeah I know but you are close to Naruto so I consider you precious to me too”

 

Chibi Usa smiled” thanks Sasuke(he has change so much)”

 

“Just don't tell Naruto that I told you this”

 

“My lips are sealed”

 

“So Chibi Usa I ask your question so how about you answer mine?”

 

Chibi Usa nodded” okay”

 

“GUYS” Naruto shouted as he landed next to them

 

Sasuke gritted his teeth” great timing for coming Naruto couldn't you waited a few minutes?”

 

“I guess but you guys I just finish planting the our traps when I heard screaming” Naruto said worry

 

Sasuke sweat dropped” Naruto it's the forest of death it must be the other genins getting killed with one another to get the scrolls that's the whole point of this test”

 

“Yeah he's right uncle don't get worry about their screams let's worry about us instead”

 

“I guess but still we should watch out and stay on guard” Naruto said

 

“I already had it cover Naruto with my sharngan we'll locate the traps and the hidden scrolls”

 

“Al right let's get going then” Naruto said

 

Sasuke and Chibi Usa nodded and they left

 

 

Back at the entrance to the forest Anko was eating some dango and drinking green tea she was currently ignoring the screams of terror coming from inside the forest since it was pretty normal in this test.

 

(Man looks like they are going to be a lot of dead genins in this test I feel sorry for the poor bastards)

 

As she was eating she began to think about a certain demon hunter she blush a little leaving one dango from the wooden stick hanging.

 

(I missed Seiryu I regret not having my way with him when I had the chance next time I will take Hokagesama's advices)

 

 

Konohamaru and his team were running trough the trees with fear in their eyes they were hearing the screams from the other genin teams, the thought various possibilities one they were kill by other genins or two they were being killed by a hidden trap for now those were possibilities. They continue to run fast hoping they can find another hidden scroll instead of encountering a genin team to get one, they prepare their kunais and shuriken just in case things turns from bad to worse.

 

“We better be careful guys” Konohamaru said worry

 

“You don't have to tell me twice” Udon said

 

“This test is really dangerous I hope Naruto and the others are okay?” Moegi said worry

 

“Don't worry Moegi the boss is strong he can take care of himself and so do we”

 

Moegi nodded as they continue to run trough the forest, suddenly Udon got a little worry he got nervous while looking at every direction.

 

“Udon what's wrong?” Konohamaru said

 

“I guess it's nothing I just got this weird feeling that we are being watched”

 

“Really?” Konohamaru said worry” you might be right you know?”

 

“AH LOOK OUT KONOHAMARUKUN” Moegi shouted as she saw a rain of kunais were shot at him hitting him

 

“KONOHAMARU” Udon shouted

 

Konohamaru vanish in a cloud of smoke replace by a wooden log the two genins sighed in relief as Konohamaru landed next to them.

 

“Thanks Moegi for warning me in time to use a substitution jutsu”

 

“No it can't be Konohamaru those are…..sound ninjas” Udon said in shock

 

Konohamaru and Moegi gasp seeing the sound ninjas, that's when Konohamaru saw the color of their eyes.

 

“Those eyes they are the same ninjas that attack the village” Konohamaru said

 

“You mean those things?” Moegi said

 

“Yeah no doubt about it this is bad this means that sound ninjas have invaded the village again we have to tell the Hokage” Konohamaru said

 

“But what about the test?” Udon said

 

“Forget about the test this is more important” Konohamaru said as he saw the sound ninjas charge at them” here they come”

 

The sound youmas threw their shurkens at them only to be block by their kunais in hand the three genin drew into their kunai a couple of explosive kunais.

 

“NOW” Konohamaru shouted

 

The three threw the explosive kunais hitting the sound ninjas causing a big explosion

 

“Now's our chance let's get out of here” Konohamaru said

 

The two nodded as they left from explosion site they didn't notice more sound youmas after them.

 

 

Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa were jumping at high speed from tree branch to another, they were worried something was definitely wrong and they were right. Sasuke has seen the dark energy with his sharingan and he knew who it belong to the same sound ninjas that attack Konoha a while back, he growl knowing that Orochimaru might want to interfere the chunin exams just like he did before he was going to kill every sound ninja he could find. Naruto and Chibi Usa were upset and worry at the same time they knew about the sound ninjas and that was why the genin teams were screaming they were being killed by they were going to do everything in their power to stop them.

 

“Damn it why I didn't see it before I know Orochimaru too well of course he was going to interfere in the chunin exams again” Sasuke said upset

 

“Calm down Sasuke let's just focus in finding the sound ninjas and stop them” Naruto said trying to calm down his friend

 

“I really wanted to pass this test I really want to become chunin” Chibi Usa said sounding depressed

 

“I'm sorry Chibichan” Naruto said

 

“What are you talking about Chibi Usa?” Sasuke said

 

“What do you mean the test is over?”

 

“It's not over even if this is happening the test continues we only have some insects to squash but once we take care of them we can finish the test” Sasuke said with a smirk

 

Chibi Usa smiled” I hope your right?”

 

“Yeah I think Anko would agree?” Naruto said

 

“She will knowing her?” Sasuke said

 

The team continue to jump from the trees unaware that a few miles away from them a group of sound youmas were following them.

 

 

Back at the entrance to the forest Anko has just finished eating every dango she order as well as the green tea she was now feeling bore she didn't have nothing to do but to wait that the test was over and she was hoping it will be soon.

 

“This sucks I'm bore” she whined before looking at the forest” I wonder if the test is over already I don't hear anymore screaming I guess the competition is dead”

 

An ambu ninja wearing an eagle mask appeared next to her” Anko we have a situation in the forest al lot of the genin teams have been taken out”

 

“Yeah so what that's the point of the test they fight in order to get the scroll they can also kill them in the process so why are you making such a big fuzz about this?”

 

“That's just it Anko it wasn't any genin teams it was….sound ninjas”

 

Anko's widened in shock” No sound ninjas…..oh SHIT I have to go you go back and report to Hokagesama”

 

The ambu nodded and vanish Anko ran and enter the forest while cursing under her breath.

 

(Shit damn you Orochimaru you dare attack the village again bastard)

 

She continue to run faster into the depths of the forest hoping that she could save any genins that were still alive and kill some sound ninjas while she were at it on the way.

 

 

Konohamaru and his team were still running with their lives they wanted to avoid the sound ninjas as possible, once they thought they were safe they stop and landed on the ground. The team gasps as they saw a genin team from grass village lying unconscious Moegi went near one of them to check his pulse.

 

“Is he dead Moegi?” Konohamaru said

“No he's still alive”

 

“This one too looks like whoever attacked them didn't kill them” Udon said checking the pulse of the second grass genin

 

“Was it other genins or was it the sound ninjas?” Moegi said

 

“I don't want to stay and find out al right guys we have to prepare against the sound ninjas lets start planting traps all over the place and remember our training we can take them on” Konohamaru said

 

Moegi and Udon nodded they left the unconscious genin and started preparing for the upcoming sound ninjas attack.

 

 

Back with Naruto and his team they just took out another group of sound youmas, just when things were over more sound youmas appeared. Naruto and Chibi Usa use shadow clone jutsu while Sasuke use his chidori on his sword Kusanagi he slash five sound youmas in one strike. The Naruto and Chibi Usa clones use their explosives kunais creating a large explosion hitting all of them. The team got together all of the sudden they were completely surrounded by sound youmas everywhere they look there was a sound youma eager to drain their energy.

 

“I forgot how annoying these things are” Naruto said irritated

 

“Tell me about it” Sasuke said irritated as well

 

“You guys have any ideas?” Chibi Usa said worry

“There's too many of them so that means there's only one thing to do leave this to me Naruto Chibi Usa on my go jump to the trees” Sasuke said activating his sharingan

 

Naruto and Chibi Usa nodded as they took a kunai from their pouches, the sound youmas charge at them ready to drain their energy.

 

“NOW” Sasuke shouted

 

Naruto and Chibi Usa jump out of the way and landed on a tree branch, Sasuke vanish and appeared high above the sound youmas he made a couple of hand seals.

 

“FIRE STYLE GRAND FIRE BALL JUTSU”

 

Sasuke shoot a giant fire ball and it hit every sound youma in the way they were all burn to a crisp he sheathed Kusanagi back while Naruto and Chibi Usa landed next to him.

 

“Whoa Sasuke that was cool hey Chibichan I hope you like your sound youma extra crispy?”he gave a goofy grin

 

Sasuke sweat dropped” Naruto that was so lame”

 

“Yeah uncle really lame”

 

“Hey I'm still working on making my jokes better okay?” Naruto said with frown

 

“You have a lot of practicing to do to achieve that” Sasuke said with a smirk

 

Chibi Usa laugh” good one Sasuke”

 

Naruto sweat dropped” Chibichan you are supposed to be on my side?”

 

“Come on let's not waste more time” Sasuke said

 

“Yeah yeah” Naruto said

 

They left the burning are before heading back into the forest as soon as they started running Sasuke's sharingan eyes widened in shock sensing a familiar dark energy.

 

“Sasuke were not alone” Naruto said in a serious tone

 

“I know al right whoever you guys are come out of hiding?” Sasuke said

 

“More sound ninjas?” Chibi Usa said

 

“Very well as you wish” an unknown voice said

 

In front of the three, the three shadowy figures appeared they revealed themselves to the genins. Naruto, Sasuke and Chibi Usa were shock they couldn't believe what they were seeing standing in front of them are the formal sound genins Zaku, Dosu and Kin, they thought they were dreaming but it felt too real to even be a dream.

 

“No” Naruto said shock” you guys are supposed to be death”

 

The three sound genins didn't say a word they got into attack position.

 

“Looks like they want to fight us as usual” Sasuke said ready to sheath Kusanagi

 

“I'm ready” Chibi Usa said

 

The three sound genins charge at them as well as the leaf genins they were ready to fight them it is going to turn into one hell of a clash.

What a cliffhanger and I apologized but I need them to make the story more exiting anyway what will happen will they win or are Zaku, Dosu and Kin in another level of strength find out in the next chapter.

 

 

Funny moment time

 

 

(On tv screen Konoha's shopping network)

 

 

Naruto appeared in a cloud of smoke

 

“YES we are back by popular demand its Konoha's shopping network”

 

(On screen: we didn't have a choice it's the authors fault)

 

“We are number one in selling merchandise” Naruto said cheery

 

(On screen: Ebay is way better)

 

“We offer the best items and in high quality”

 

“You mean like the cherry blossom shampoo?” Sasuke said while Sakura and Chibi Usa nodded in agreement

 

“Hey that shampoo was a slight flaw but it wont happen again now here's what we are selling today Sakurachan?”

 

The camera show Sakura holding a familiar piece of clothing

 

“Here's Rock Lees green spandex uniform that's right it his unique brand and it can be yours by calling the toll free number”

 

“Ummm….Sakurachan you accepted my offer in becoming our official model?” Naruto said while giving her the sad puppy dog eyes

 

“Why yes Naruto I accept the job as long as you can pay me or ELSE” Sakura said while giving him a glare which creep him out
